In this paper, by using the dynamic system method and the known conservation laws of the gCH equation, and underlying features of the peakons, we study the peakon solutions and the orbital stability of the peakons for a nonlinear generalization of the Camassa-Holm equation (gCH). The gCH equation is first transformed into a planar system. Then, by the first integral and algebraic curves of this system, we obtain one heteroclinic cycle, which corresponds to a peakon solution. Moreover, we give a proof of the orbital stability of the peakons for the gCH equation.  相似文献

The effects of parabola singular curves in the integrable nonlinear wave equation are studied by using the bifurcation theory of dynamical system. We find new singular periodic waves for a nonlinear wave equation from short capillary-gravity waves. The new periodic waves possess weaker singularity than the periodic peakon. It is shown that the second derivatives of the new singular periodic wave solutions do not exist in countable number of points but the first derivatives exist. We show that there exist close connection between the new singular periodic waves and parabola singular curve in phase plane of traveling wave system for the first time.  相似文献

By using the method of planar dynamical systems to a nonlinear variant of the regularized long-wave equation (RLW equation in short), the existence of smooth and non-smooth solitary wave (so called peakon and valleyon) and infinite many periodic wave solutions is shown. Under different regions of parametric spaces, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of above solutions are given. The formulas to compute the travelling waves are also educed. We notice that some results in [Wazwaz AM. Analytic study on nonlinear variants of the RLW and the PHI-four equations. Commun Nonlinear Sci Numer Simul, in press, doi:10.1016/j.cnsns.2005.03.001] are incorrect.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the integral bifurcation method, we study a generalized KdV equation which was first derived by Fokas from physical considerations via a methodology of Fuchssteiner. All kinds of soliton-like or kink-like wave solutions and periodic wave solutions with loop or without loop are obtained. Smooth compacton-like periodic wave solution and non-smooth periodic cusp wave solution are also obtained. Their dynamic properties are investigated and their profiles are given by Mathematical software.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation with an anti-cubic nonlinearity. By using the method of dynamical systems, we obtain bifurcations of the phase portraits of the corresponding planar dynamical system under different parameter conditions. Corresponding to different level curves defined by the Hamiltonian, we derive all exact explicit parametric representations of the bounded solutions (including periodic peakon solutions, periodic solutions, homoclinic solutions, heteroclinic solutions and compacton solutions).  相似文献

In this paper, we study the traveling wave solutions for a complex short-pulse equation of both focusing and defocusing types, which governs the propagation of ultrashort pulses in nonlinear optical fibers. It can be viewed as an analog of the nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation in the ultrashort-pulse regime. The corresponding traveling wave systems of the equivalent complex short-pulse equations are two singular planar dynamical systems with four singular straight lines. By using the method of dynamical systems, bifurcation diagrams and explicit exact parametric representations of the solutions are given, including solitary wave solution, periodic wave solution, peakon solution, periodic peakon solution and compacton solution under different parameter conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, the modified extended tanh method is used to construct more general exact solutions of a(2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation. With the aid of Maple and Matlab software, we obtain exact explicit kink wave solutions, peakon wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and their 3D images.  相似文献

The dynamics and bifurcations of traveling wave solutions are studied for three nonlinear wave equations. A new phenomenon, such as a composed orbit, which consists of two or three heteroclinic orbits, may correspond to a solitary wave solution, a periodic wave solution or a peakon solution, is found for the equations. Some previous results are extended.  相似文献

In this paper, the traveling wave solutions for a generalized Camassa-Holm equation $u_t-u_{xxt}=\frac{1}{2}(p+1)(p+2)u^pu_x-\frac{1}{2}p(p-1)u^{p-2}u_x^3-2pu^{p-1}u_xu_{xx}-u^pu_{xxx}$ are investigated. By using the bifurcation method of dynamical systems, three major results for this equation are highlighted. First, there are one or two singular straight lines in the two-dimensional system under some different conditions. Second, all the bifurcations of the generalized Camassa-Holm equation are given for $p$ either positive or negative integer. Third, we prove that the corresponding traveling wave system of this equation possesses peakon, smooth solitary wave solution, kink and anti-kink wave solution, and periodic wave solutions.  相似文献

In this study, we use two direct algebraic methods to solve a fourth-order dispersive cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which is used to describe the propagation of optical pulse in a medium exhibiting a parabolic nonlinearity law. By using complex envelope ansatz method, we first obtain a new dark soliton and bright soliton, which may approach nonzero when the time variable approaches infinity. Then a series of analytical exact solutions are constructed by means of F-expansion method. These solutions include solitary wave solutions of the bell shape, solitary wave solutions of the kink shape, and periodic wave solutions of Jacobian elliptic function.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the short-pulse equation (SPE) by using the dynamical system theory. The periodic solutions of the SPE are investigated. The solutions are characterized by two parameters. The periodic waves existent conditions are found, and explicit parametric expressions of all periodic solutions are given.  相似文献

In this paper, the effects of quadratic singular curves in integrable wave equations are studied by using the bifurcation theory of dynamical system. Some new singular solitary waves (pseudo‐cuspons) and periodic waves are found more weak than regular singular traveling waves such as peaked soliton (peakon), cusp soliton (cuspon), cusp periodic wave, etc. We show that while the first‐order derivatives of the new singular solitary wave and periodic waves exist, their second‐order derivatives are discontinuous at finite number of points for the solitary waves or at infinitely countable points for the periodic wave. Moreover, an intrinsic connection is constructed between the singular traveling waves and quadratic singular curves in the phase plane of traveling wave system. The new singular periodic waves, pseudo‐cuspons, and compactons emerge if corresponding periodic orbits or homoclinic orbits are tangent to a hyperbola, ellipse, and parabola. In particular, pseudo‐cuspon is proposed for the first time. Finally, we study the qualitative behavior of the new singular solitary wave and periodic wave solutions through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.  相似文献

By using the method of planar dynamical systems to an integrable nonlinear wave equation, the existence of periodic travelling wave, solitary wave and kink wave solutions is proved in the different parametric conditions. The phase portraits of the travelling wave system are given. It can be shown that the existence of singular curves in the travelling wave system is the reason why the travelling wave solutions lose their smoothness. Moreover, the so-called W/M-shaped solitary wave solutions are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, a generalized Camassa-Holm Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (gCH-KP) equation is studied. As a result, under different parameter conditions, the bounded travelling wave solutions such as periodic waves, periodic cusp waves, solitary waves, peakons, loops and kink waves are given, and the dynamic characters of these solutions are investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, the theory of dynamical systems is employed to investigate loop waves and cusp waves of the Fujimoto-Watanabe equation. These waves contain solitary loop waves, periodic loop waves, peakons and periodic cusp waves. Under fixed parameter conditions, their exact explicit parametric expressions are given.  相似文献

The singular traveling wave solutions of a general 4-parameter family equation which unifies the Camass-Holm equation, the Degasperis-Procesi equation and the Novikov equation are investigated in this paper. At first, we obtain the explicit peakon solutions for one of its specific case that $a=(p+2)c$, $b=(p+1)c$ and $c=1$, which is referred to a generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov (CHN) equation, by reducing it to a second-order ordinary differential equation (ODE) and solving its associated first-order integrable ODE. By observing the characteristics of peakon solutions to the CHN equation, we construct the peakon solutions for the general 4-parameter breaking wave equation. It reveals that singularities of the peakon solutions come up only when the solutions attain singular points of the equation, which might be a universal principal for all singular traveling wave solutions for wave breaking equations.  相似文献

The completely integrable Hamiltonian systems discovered by Calogero and FranÇoise contain the finite-dimensional reductions of the Camassa–Holm and Hunter–Saxton equations. We show that the associated spectral problem has the same form as that of the periodic discrete Camassa–Holm equation. The flow is linearized by the Abel map on a hyperelliptic curve. For two-particle systems, which correspond to genus-1 curves, explicit solutions are obtained in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic functions.  相似文献

In this paper, the integral bifurcation method is used to study a nonlinearly dispersive wave equation of Camassa-Holm equation type. Loop soliton solution and periodic loop soliton solution, solitary wave solution and solitary cusp wave solution, smooth periodic wave solution and non-smooth periodic wave solution of this equation are obtained, their dynamic characters are discussed. Some solutions have an interesting phenomenon that one solution admits multi-waves when parameters vary.  相似文献
