We consider a family of open discrete mappings f:D ?[`(\mathbb Rn)] f:D \to \overline {{{\mathbb R}^n}} that distort, in a special way, the p-modulus of a family of curves that connect the plates of a spherical condenser in a domain D in \mathbb Rn {{\mathbb R}^n} ; p > n-1; p < n; and bypass a set of positive p-capacity. We establish that this family is normal if a certain real-valued function that controls the considered distortion of the family of curves has finite mean oscillation at every point or only logarithmic singularities of order not higher than n - 1: We show that, under these conditions, an isolated singularity x 0D of a mapping f:D\{ x0 } ?[`(\mathbb Rn)] f:D\backslash \left\{ {{x_0}} \right\} \to \overline {{{\mathbb R}^n}} is removable, and, moreover, the extended mapping is open and discrete. As applications, we obtain analogs of the known Liouville and Sokhotskii–Weierstrass theorems.  相似文献

For open discrete mappings f:D\{ b } ? \mathbbR3 f:D\backslash \left\{ b \right\} \to {\mathbb{R}^3} of a domain D ì \mathbbR3 D \subset {\mathbb{R}^3} satisfying relatively general geometric conditions in D \ {b} and having an essential singularity at a point b ? \mathbbR3 b \in {\mathbb{R}^3} , we prove the following statement: Let a point y 0 belong to [`(\mathbbR3)] \f( D\{ b } ) \overline {{\mathbb{R}^3}} \backslash f\left( {D\backslash \left\{ b \right\}} \right) and let the inner dilatation K I (x, f) and outer dilatation K O (x, f) of the mapping f at the point x satisfy certain conditions. Let B f denote the set of branch points of the mapping f. Then, for an arbitrary neighborhood V of the point y 0, the set Vf(B f ) cannot be contained in a set A such that g(A) = I, where I = { t ? \mathbbR:| t | < 1 } I = \left\{ {t \in \mathbb{R}:\left| t \right| < 1} \right\} and g:U ? \mathbbRn g:U \to {\mathbb{R}^n} is a quasiconformal mapping of a domain U ì \mathbbRn U \subset {\mathbb{R}^n} such that A ⊂ U.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the investigation of topological properties of space mappings. It is shown that orientation-preserving mappings f:D ?[`(\mathbbRn)] f:D \to \overline {{\mathbb{R}^n}} in a domain D ì \mathbbRn D \subset {\mathbb{R}^n} , n ≥ 2; which are more general than mappings with bounded distortion, are open and discrete if a function Q corresponding to the control of the distortion of families of curves under these mappings has slow growth in the domain f (D), e.g., if Q has finite mean oscillation at an arbitrary point y 0f (D).  相似文献

Let M be (2n-1)\mathbbCP2#2n[`(\mathbbCP)]2(2n-1)\mathbb{CP}^{2}\#2n\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for any integer n≥1. We construct an irreducible symplectic 4-manifold homeomorphic to M and also an infinite family of pairwise non-diffeomorphic irreducible non-symplectic 4-manifolds homeomorphic to M. We also construct such exotic smooth structures when M is \mathbbCP2#4[`(\mathbbCP)]2\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#4\overline {\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} or 3\mathbbCP2#k[`(\mathbbCP)]23\mathbb{CP}{}^{2}\#k\overline{\mathbb{CP}}{}^{2} for k=6,8,10.  相似文献

We study the spectrum σ(M) of the multipliers M which commute with the translations on weighted spaces ${L_{\omega}^{2}(\mathbb{R})}We study the spectrum σ(M) of the multipliers M which commute with the translations on weighted spaces Lw2(\mathbbR){L_{\omega}^{2}(\mathbb{R})} For operators M in the algebra generated by the convolutions with f ? Cc(\mathbb R){\phi \in {C_c(\mathbb {R})}} we show that [`(m(W))] = s(M){\overline{\mu(\Omega)} = \sigma(M)}, where the set Ω is determined by the spectrum of the shift S and μ is the symbol of M. For the general multipliers M we establish that [`(m(W))]{\overline{\mu(\Omega)}} is included in σ(M). A generalization of these results is given for the weighted spaces L2w(\mathbb Rk){L^2_{\omega}(\mathbb {R}^{k})} where the weight ω has a special form.  相似文献

A Toeplitz operator TfT_\phi with symbol f\phi in L(\mathbbD)L^{\infty}({\mathbb{D}}) on the Bergman space A2(\mathbbD)A^{2}({\mathbb{D}}), where \mathbbD\mathbb{D} denotes the open unit disc, is radial if f(z) = f(|z|)\phi(z) = \phi(|z|) a.e. on \mathbbD\mathbb{D}. In this paper, we consider the numerical ranges of such operators. It is shown that all finite line segments, convex hulls of analytic images of \mathbbD\mathbb{D} and closed convex polygonal regions in the plane are the numerical ranges of radial Toeplitz operators. On the other hand, Toeplitz operators TfT_\phi with f\phi harmonic on \mathbbD\mathbb{D} and continuous on [`(\mathbbD)]{\overline{\mathbb{D}}} and radial Toeplitz operators are convexoid, but certain compact quasinilpotent Toeplitz operators are not.  相似文献

Let T be a C0–contraction on a separable Hilbert space. We assume that IH − T*T is compact. For a function f holomorphic in the unit disk \mathbbD{\mathbb{D}} and continuous on [`(\mathbbD)]\overline{{\mathbb{D}}}, we show that f(T) is compact if and only if f vanishes on s(T)?\mathbbT\sigma(T)\cap{\mathbb{T}}, where σ(T) is the spectrum of T and \mathbbT{\mathbb{T}} the unit circle. It has been known since the 1970s that the Torelli map M  g →A  g , associating to a smooth curve its Jacobian, extends to a regular map from the Deligne–Mumford compactification [`(\operatorname M)]g\overline {\operatorname {M}}_{g} to the 2nd Voronoi compactification [`(\operatorname A)]gvor\overline {\operatorname {A}}_{g}^{\mathrm {vor}}. We prove that the extended Torelli map to the perfect cone (1st Voronoi) compactification [`(\operatorname A)]gperf\overline {\operatorname {A}}_{g}^{\mathrm {perf}} is also regular, and moreover [`(\operatorname A)]gvor\overline {\operatorname {A}}_{g}^{\mathrm {vor}} and [`(\operatorname A)]gperf\overline {\operatorname {A}}_{g}^{\mathrm {perf}} share a common Zariski open neighborhood of the image of [`(\operatorname M)]g\overline {\operatorname {M}}_{g}. We also show that the map to the Igusa monoidal transform (central cone compactification) is not regular for g≥9; this disproves a 1973 conjecture of Namikawa.  相似文献

Let ϕ be a function in the Wiener amalgam space W(L1)\emph{W}_{\infty}(L_1) with a non-vanishing property in a neighborhood of the origin for its Fourier transform [^(f)]\widehat{\phi}, t={tn}n ? \mathbb Z{\bf \tau}=\{\tau_n\}_{n\in {{\mathbb Z}}} be a sampling set on ℝ and VftV_\phi^{\bf \tau} be a closed subspace of L2(\mathbbR)L_2(\hbox{\ensuremath{\mathbb{R}}}) containing all linear combinations of τ-translates of ϕ. In this paper we prove that every function f ? Vftf\in V_\phi^{\bf \tau} is uniquely determined by and stably reconstructed from the sample set Lft(f)={ò\mathbbR f(t)[`(f(t-tn))] dt}n ? \mathbb ZL_\phi^{\bf \tau}(f)=\Big\{\int_{\hbox{\ensuremath{\mathbb{R}}}} f(t) \overline{\phi(t-\tau_n)} dt\Big\}_{n\in {{\mathbb Z}}}. As our reconstruction formula involves evaluating the inverse of an infinite matrix we consider a partial reconstruction formula suitable for numerical implementation. Under an additional assumption on the decay rate of ϕ we provide an estimate to the corresponding error.  相似文献

(0,¥).{t\in (0,\infty).} In this paper, the authors introduce the generalized VMO spaces VMOr, L(\mathbb Rn){{\mathop{\rm VMO}_ {\rho, L}({\mathbb R}^n)}} associated with L, and characterize them via tent spaces. As applications, the authors show that (VMOr,L (\mathbb Rn))*=Bw,L*(\mathbb Rn){({\rm VMO}_{\rho,L} ({\mathbb R}^n))^\ast=B_{\omega,L^\ast}({\mathbb R}^n)}, where L * denotes the adjoint operator of L in L2(\mathbb Rn){L^2({\mathbb R}^n)} and Bw,L*(\mathbb Rn){B_{\omega,L^\ast}({\mathbb R}^n)} the Banach completion of the Orlicz–Hardy space Hw,L*(\mathbb Rn){H_{\omega,L^\ast}({\mathbb R}^n)}. Notice that ω(t) = t p for all t ? (0,¥){t\in (0,\infty)} and p ? (0,1]{p\in (0,1]} is a typical example of positive concave functions satisfying the assumptions. In particular, when p = 1, then ρ(t) ≡ 1 and (VMO1, L(\mathbb Rn))*=HL*1(\mathbb Rn){({\mathop{\rm VMO}_{1, L}({\mathbb R}^n)})^\ast=H_{L^\ast}^1({\mathbb R}^n)}, where HL*1(\mathbb Rn){H_{L^\ast}^1({\mathbb R}^n)} was the Hardy space introduced by Hofmann and Mayboroda.  相似文献

We consider the space A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) of all continuous functions f on the circle \mathbbT\mathbb{T} such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients [^(f)] = { [^(f)]( k ), k ? \mathbbZ }\hat f = \left\{ {\hat f\left( k \right), k \in \mathbb{Z}} \right\} belongs to l 1(ℤ). The norm on A(\mathbbT)A(\mathbb{T}) is defined by || f ||A(\mathbbT) = || [^(f)] ||l1 (\mathbbZ)\left\| f \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^1 (\mathbb{Z})}. According to the well-known Beurling-Helson theorem, if f:\mathbbT ? \mathbbT\phi :\mathbb{T} \to \mathbb{T} is a continuous mapping such that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = O(1)\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = O(1), n ∈ ℤ then φ is linear. It was conjectured by Kahane that the same conclusion about φ is true under the assumption that || einf ||A(\mathbbT) = o( log| n | )\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\log \left| n \right|} \right). We show that if $\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right)$\left\| {e^{in\phi } } \right\|_{A(\mathbb{T})} = o\left( {\left( {{{\log \log \left| n \right|} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\log \log \left| n \right|} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\log \log \log \left| n \right|}}} \right)^{1/12} } \right), then φ is linear.  相似文献

Attaching to a compact disk [`(\mathbbDr)]{\overline{\mathbb{D}_{r}}} in the quaternion field \mathbbH{\mathbb{H}} and to some analytic function in Weierstrass sense on [`(\mathbbDr)]{\overline{\mathbb{D}_{r}}} the so-called q-Bernstein operators with q ≥ 1, Voronovskaja-type results with quantitative upper estimates are proved. As applications, the exact orders of approximation in [`(\mathbbDr)]{\overline{\mathbb{D}_{r}}} for these operators, namely \frac1n{\frac{1}{n}} if q = 1 and \frac1qn{\frac{1}{q^{n}}} if q > 1, are obtained. The results extend those in the case of approximation of analytic functions of a complex variable in disks by q-Bernstein operators of complex variable in Gal (Mediterr J Math 5(3):253–272, 2008) and complete the upper estimates obtained for q-Bernstein operators of quaternionic variable in Gal (Approximation by Complex Bernstein and Convolution-Type Operators, 2009; Adv Appl Clifford Alg, doi:, 2011).  相似文献

Let L\cal{L} be a positive definite bilinear functional, then the Uvarov transformation of L\cal{L} is given by  U(p,q) = L(p,q) + m p(a)[`(q)](a-1) +[`(m)] p([`(a)]-1)\,\mathcal{U}(p,q) = \mathcal{L}(p,q) + m\,p(\alpha)\overline{q}(\alpha^{-1}) + \overline{m}\,p(\overline{\alpha}^{-1}) [`(q)]([`(a)])\overline{q}(\overline{\alpha}) where $|\alpha| > 1, m \in \mathbb{C}$|\alpha| > 1, m \in \mathbb{C}. In this paper we analyze conditions on m for U\cal{U} to be positive definite in the linear space of polynomials of degree less than or equal to n. In particular, we show that m has to lie inside a circle in the complex plane defined by α, n and the moments associated with L\cal{L}. We also give an upper bound for the radius of this circle that depends only on α and n. This and other conditions on m are visualized for some examples.  相似文献

We consider the convex optimization problem P:minx {f(x) : x ? K}{{\rm {\bf P}}:{\rm min}_{\rm {\bf x}} \{f({\rm {\bf x}})\,:\,{\rm {\bf x}}\in{\rm {\bf K}}\}} where f is convex continuously differentiable, and K ì \mathbb Rn{{\rm {\bf K}}\subset{\mathbb R}^n} is a compact convex set with representation {x ? \mathbb Rn : gj(x) 3 0, j = 1,?,m}{\{{\rm {\bf x}}\in{\mathbb R}^n\,:\,g_j({\rm {\bf x}})\geq0, j = 1,\ldots,m\}} for some continuously differentiable functions (g j ). We discuss the case where the g j ’s are not all concave (in contrast with convex programming where they all are). In particular, even if the g j are not concave, we consider the log-barrier function fm{\phi_\mu} with parameter μ, associated with P, usually defined for concave functions (g j ). We then show that any limit point of any sequence (xm) ì K{({\rm {\bf x}}_\mu)\subset{\rm {\bf K}}} of stationary points of fm, m? 0{\phi_\mu, \mu \to 0} , is a Karush–Kuhn–Tucker point of problem P and a global minimizer of f on K.  相似文献
