Let Ω ⊂ ℝ d be a compact convex set of positive measure. In a recent paper, we established a definiteness theory for cubature formulae of order two on Ω. Here we study extremal properties of those positive definite formulae that can be generated by a centroidal Voronoi tessellation of Ω. In this connection we come across a class of operators of the form Ln[f](x): = ?i=1n fi(x)(f(yi) + á?f(yi), x-yi?)L_n[f](\boldsymbol{x}):= \sum_{i=1}^n \phi_i(\boldsymbol{x})(f(\boldsymbol{y}_i) + \langle\nabla f(\boldsymbol{y}_i), \boldsymbol{x}-\boldsymbol{y}_i\rangle), where y1,..., yn\boldsymbol{y}_1,\dots, \boldsymbol{y}_n are distinct points in Ω and {ϕ 1, ..., ϕ n } is a partition of unity on Ω. We present best possible pointwise error estimates and describe operators L n with a smallest constant in an L p error estimate for 1 ≤ p < ∞ . For a generalization, we introduce a new type of Voronoi tessellation in terms of a twice continuously differentiable and strictly convex function f. This paper is concerned mainly with the logarithmic Bloch space ℬlog  which consists of those functions f which are analytic in the unit disc \mathbbD{\mathbb{D}} and satisfy sup|z| < 1(1-|z|)log\frac11-|z||f(z)| < ¥\sup_{\vert z\vert <1}(1-\vert z\vert )\log\frac{1}{1-\vert z\vert}\vert f^{\prime}(z)\vert <\infty , and the analytic Besov spaces B p , 1≤p<∞. They are all subspaces of the space VMOA. We study the relation between these spaces, paying special attention to the membership of univalent functions in them. We give explicit examples of:

We consider the equation on a smooth bounded domain of with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions where p ≥ 2, λ > 0 and f satisfies typical assumptions in the subject of extremal solutions. We prove that, for such general nonlinearities f, the extremal solution u * belongs to L  ∞ (Ω) if N < p + p/(p − 1) and if N < p(1 + p/(p − 1)). The article studies diagnostic tests for local k -fold coalescences of variables in Boolean functions f( [(x)\tilde]n )( 1 £ kn,  1 £ t £ 22k ) f\left( {{{\tilde{x}}^n}} \right)\left( {1 \leq k \leq n,\;1 \leq t \leq {2^{{2^k}}}} \right) . Upper and lower bounds are proved for the Shannon function of the length of the diagnostic test for local k -fold coalescences generated by the system of functions Ftk \Phi_t^k . The Shannon function of the length of a complete diagnostic test for local k -fold coalescences behaves asymptotically as 2 k (n − k + 1) for n → ∞, k → ∞.  相似文献
