This paper is concerned with the existence and stability of steady states for a prey-predator system with cross difusion of quasilinear fractional type.We obtain a sufcient condition for the existence of positive steady state solutions by applying bifurcation theory and a detailed priori estimate. In virtue of the principle of exchange of stability,we prove the stability of local bifurcating solutions near the bifurcation point.  相似文献

The bifurcation of non-trivial steady state solutions of a scalar reaction–diffusion equation with nonlinear boundary conditions is considered using several new abstract bifurcation theorems. The existence and stability of positive steady state solutions are proved using a unified approach. The general results are applied to a Laplace equation with nonlinear boundary condition and bistable nonlinearity, and an elliptic equation with superlinear nonlinearity and sublinear boundary conditions.  相似文献

We consider a reaction-diffusion equation which models the constant yield harvesting to a spatially heterogeneous population which satisfies a logistic growth. We prove the existence, uniqueness and stability of the maximal steady state solutions under certain conditions, and we also classify all steady state solutions under more restricted conditions. Exact global bifurcation diagrams are obtained in the latter case. Our method is a combination of comparison arguments and bifurcation theory.

A reaction-diffusion model is presented to describe the microbial continuous culture with diversified growth. The existence of nonnegative solutions and attractors for the system is obtained, the stability of steady states and the steady state bifurcation are studied under three growth conditions. In the case of no growth inhibition or only product inhibition, the system admits one positive constant steady state which is stable; in the case of growth inhibition only by substrate, the system can have two positive constant steady states, explicit conditions of the stability and the steady state bifurcation are also determined. In addition, numerical simulations are given to exhibit the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, complex dynamics of a diffusive predator–prey model is investigated, where the prey is subject to strong Allee effect and threshold harvesting. The existence and stability of nonnegative constant steady state solutions are discussed. The existence and nonexistence of nonconstant positive steady state solutions are analyzed to identify the ranges of parameters of pattern formation. Spatially homogeneous and nonhomogeneous Hopf bifurcation and discontinuous Hopf bifurcation are proved. These results show that the introduction of strong Allee effect and threshold harvesting increases the system spatiotemporal complexity. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to validate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the predator–prey model equipped with Fickian diffusion and memory-based diffusion of predators. The stability and bifurcation analysis explores the impacts of the memory-based diffusion and the averaged memory period on the dynamics near the positive steady state. Specifically, when the memory-based diffusion coefficient is less than a critical value, we show that the stability of the positive steady state can be destabilized as the average memory period increases, which leads to the occurrence of Hopf bifurcations. Moreover, we also analyze the bifurcation properties using the central manifold theorem and normal form theory. This allows us to prove the existence of stable spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions arising from Hopf bifurcation. In addition, the sufficient and necessary conditions for the occurrence of stability switches are also provided.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of traveling waves to a predator–prey model with a spatiotemporal delay. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of a positive steady state and each of boundary steady states are established, and the existence of Hopf bifurcation at the positive steady state is also discussed. By constructing a pair of upper–lower solutions and by using the cross‐iteration method as well as the Schauder's fixed‐point theorem, the existence of a traveling wave solution connecting the semi‐trivial steady state and the positive steady state is proved. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main theoretical results. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We proposed a nutrient-phytoplankton interaction model with a discrete and distributed time delay to provide a better understanding of phytoplankton growth dynamics and nutrient-phytoplankton oscillations induced by delay. Standard linear analysis indicated that delay can induce instability of a positive equilibrium via Hopf bifurcation. We derived the conditions guaranteeing the existence of Hopf bifurcation and tracked its direction and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions. We also obtained the sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of the unique positive steady state. Numerical analysis in the fully nonlinear regime showed that the stability of the positive equilibrium is sensitive to changes in delay values under select conditions. Numerical results were consistent with results predicted by linear analysis.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with a diffusive population model of Logistic type with an instantaneous density-dependent term and two delayed density-dependent terms and subject to the zero-Dirichlet boundary condition. By regarding the delay as the bifurcation parameter and analyzing in detail the associated eigenvalue problem, the local asymptotic stability and the existence of Hopf bifurcation for the sufficiently small positive steady state solution are shown. It is found that under the suitable condition, the positive steady state solution of the model will become ultimately unstable after a single stability switch (or change) at a certain critical value of delay through a Hopf bifurcation. However, under the other condition, the positive steady state solution of the model will become ultimately unstable after multiple stability switches at some certain critical values of delay through Hopf bifurcations. In addition, the direction of the above Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are analyzed by means of the center manifold theory and normal form method for partial functional differential equations. Finally, in order to illustrate the correction of the obtained theoretical results, some numerical simulations are also carried out.  相似文献

A set of two coupled nonlinear diffusion reaction equations is studied and the existence of secondary bifurcation is shown. Using the method of two-timing, it is found that diffusion reaction equations of this type can exhibit an exchange of stability between distinct nontrivial solutions. This exchange can provide either a smooth or discontinuous transition between stable solutions, and the nontrivial solutions can be either steady or temporally periodic. This analysis is applied to the model biochemical reaction of Prigogine and the types of secondary bifurcation which occur in this model are classified.  相似文献

A reaction–diffusion system of two bacteria species competing a single limiting nutrient with the consideration of virus infection is derived and analysed. Firstly, the well-posedness of the system, the existence of the trivial and semi-trivial steady states, and some prior estimations of the steady states are given. Secondly, a single species subsystem with virus is studied. The stability of the trivial and semi-trivial steady states and the uniform persistence of the subsystem are obtained. Further, taking the infective ability of virus as a bifurcation parameter, the global structure of the positive steady states and the effect of virus on the positive steady states are established via bifurcation theory and limiting arguments. It shows that the backward bifurcation may occur. Some sufficient conditions for the existence, uniqueness and stability of the positive steady state are also obtained. Finally, some sufficient conditions on the existence of the positive steady states for the full system are derived by using the fixed point index theory. Some results on persistence or extinction for the full system are also obtained.  相似文献

Chemotaxis is a type of oriented movement of cells in response to the concentration gradient of chemical substances in their environment. We consider local existence and stability of nontrivial steady states of a logistic type of chemotaxis. We carry out the bifurcation theory to obtain the local existence of the steady state and apply the expansion method on the chemotaxis to investigate the bifurcation direction. Moreover, by applying the bifurcation direction, we obtain the bifurcating steady state is stable when the bifurcation curve turns to right under certain conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a Mimura–Tsujikawa model with nonlocal delay effect under the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. By using Lyapunov–Schmidt reduction, we investigate the existence, multiplicity, stability, and Hopf bifurcation of nontrivial steady‐state solutions bifurcating from the nonzero steady‐state solution. Moreover, we illustrate our general results by applications to models with a one‐dimensional spatial domain. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Gierer–Meinhardt system as a molecularly plausible model has been proposed to formalize the observation for pattern formation. In this paper, the Gierer–Meinhardt model without the saturating term is considered. By the linear stability analysis, we not only give out the conditions ensuring the stability and Turing instability of the positive equilibrium but also find the parameter values where possible Turing–Hopf and spatial resonance bifurcation can occur. Then we develop the general algorithm for the calculations of normal form associated with codimension-2 spatial resonance bifurcation to better understand the dynamics neighboring of the bifurcating point. The spatial resonance bifurcation reveals the interaction of two steady state solutions with different modes. Numerical simulations are employed to illustrate the theoretical results for both the Turing–Hopf bifurcation and spatial resonance bifurcation. Some expected solutions including stable spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions and coexisting stable spatially steady state solutions evolve from Turing–Hopf bifurcation and spatial resonance bifurcation respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, a delayed reaction–diffusion neural network with Neumann boundary conditions is investigated. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of the trivial uniform steady state is discussed. The existence of Hopf bifurcation at the trivial steady state is established. Using the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction of partial function differential equations, explicit formulae are derived to determine the direction and stability of bifurcating periodic solutions. The dynamics of a diffusive Nicholson’s blowflies equation with a finite delay and Dirichlet boundary condition have been investigated in this paper. The occurrence of steady state bifurcation with the changes of parameter is proved by applying phase plane ideas. The existence of Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium with the changes of specify parameters is obtained, and the phenomenon that the unstable positive equilibrium state without dispersion may become stable with dispersion under certain conditions is found by analyzing the distribution of the eigenvalues. By the theory of normal form and center manifold, an explicit algorithm for determining the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are derived.  相似文献

This paper discusses a prey-predator system with strongly coupled nonlinear diffusion terms. We give a sufficient condition for the existence of positive steady state solutions. Our proof is based on the bifurcation theory. Some a priori estimates for steady state solutions will play an important role in the proof.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a modified Leslie–Gower prey–predator model with Crowley–Martin functional response. The stability and instability of the trivial and semi-trivial solutions was studied by analyzing the eigenvalues of the linearized system. The existence, multiplicity and uniqueness of positive steady state solutions were shown by using bifurcation theory, degree theory, energy estimate and asymptotic behavior analysis. Furthermore, all results were characterized in parameter plane.  相似文献

This paper deals with the qualitative analysis of the travelling waves solutions of a reaction diffusion model that refers to the competition between the predator and prey with modified Leslie–Gower and Holling type II schemes. The well posedeness of the problem is proved. We establish sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the unique nontrivial positive steady state of the model by analyzing roots of the forth degree exponential polynomial characteristic equation. We also prove the existence of a Hopf bifurcation which leads to periodic oscillating travelling waves by considering the diffusion coefficient as a parameter of bifurcation. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the analytical study.  相似文献
