The local influence analysis is an important problem in statistical inference and some models have been discussed in many literatures^[1- 5]. This paper deals with the problem of assessing local influences in a multivariate t-model with Rao‘s simple structure(RSS). Based on Cook‘s likelihood displacement, the effects of some minor perturbation on the statistical inference is assessed. As an application, a common covariance-weighted perturbation is thoroughly discussed.  相似文献

The multivariate probit model is very useful for analyzing correlated multivariate dichotomous data. Recently, this model has been generalized with a confirmatory factor analysis structure for accommodating more general covariance structure, and it is called the MPCFA model. The main purpose of this paper is to consider local influence analysis, which is a well-recognized important step of data analysis beyond the maximum likelihood estimation, of the MPCFA model. As the observed-data likelihood associated with the MPCFA model is intractable, the famous Cook's approach cannot be applied to achieve local influence measures. Hence, the local influence measures are developed via Zhu and Lee's [Local influence for incomplete data model, J. Roy. Statist. Soc. Ser. B 63 (2001) 111-126.] approach that is closely related to the EM algorithm. The diagnostic measures are derived from the conformal normal curvature of an appropriate function. The building blocks are computed via a sufficiently large random sample of the latent response strengths and latent variables that are generated by the Gibbs sampler. Some useful perturbation schemes are discussed. Results that are obtained from analyses of an artificial example and a real example are presented to illustrate the newly developed methodology.  相似文献

Single-index model is a potentially tool for multivariate nonparametric regression, generalizes both the generalized linear models(GLM) and the missing-link function problem in GLM. In this paper, we extend Cook’s local influence analysis to the penalized Gaussian likelihood estimator based on P-spline for the partially linear single-index model. Some influence measures, based on the minor perturbation of the model, are derived for the penalized least squares estimation. An illustrative example is also presented.  相似文献

The first order local influence approach is adopted in this paper to assess the local influence of observations to canonical correlation coefficients, canonical vectors and several relevant test statistics in canonical correlation analysis. This approach can detect different aspects of influence due to different perturbation schemes. In this paper, we consider two different kinds, namely, the additive perturbation scheme and the case-weights perturbation scheme. It is found that, under the additive perturbation scheme, the influence analysis of any canonical correlation coefficient can be simplified to just observing two predicted residuals. To do the influence analysis for canonical vectors, a scale invariant norm is proposed. Furthermore, by choosing proper perturbation scales on different variables, we can compare the different influential effects of perturbations on different variables under the additive perturbation scheme. An example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the first order local influence approach.  相似文献

In principal components analysis, the influence function and local influence approaches have been well established as important diagnostic tools. In this article, we first review the generalized local influence approach in the restricted likelihood framework. We then apply the restricted likelihood local influence diagnostic in the common principal components analysis. One special part of this local influence result is an elliptical norm of the empirical influence function, which is comparable to the deletion diagnostic scaled by the same matrix which requires iterative solutions for parameter estimates with every case deleted. Local influence diagnostics are constructed by some basic building blocks that are obtained directly from the maximum likelihood estimates of the parameters, and which are based on the original data and thus require less computation. A numerical example illustrates the technique and some joint influence effects are identified by the proposed method.  相似文献

A new Gaussian graphical modeling that is robustified against possible outliers is proposed. The likelihood function is weighted according to how the observation is deviated, where the deviation of the observation is measured based on its likelihood. Test statistics associated with the robustified estimators are developed. These include statistics for goodness of fit of a model. An outlying score, similar to but more robust than the Mahalanobis distance, is also proposed. The new scores make it easier to identify outlying observations. A Monte Carlo simulation and an analysis of a real data set show that the proposed method works better than ordinary Gaussian graphical modeling and some other robustified multivariate estimators.  相似文献

The influence of observations on the goodness-of-fit test in maximum likelihood factor analysis is investigated by using the local influence method. Under an appropriate perturbation the test statistic forms a surface. One of main diagnostics is the maximum slope of the perturbed surface, the other is the direction vector corresponding to the curvature. 为了更好地拟合偏态数据,充分提取偏态数据的信息,针对偏正态数据建立了众数回归模型,并基于Pena距离统计量对众数回归模型进行统计断研究,得到了众数回归模型的Pena距离表达式以及高杠杆异常点的诊断方法.利用EM算法与梯度下降法给出了众数回归模型参数的极大似然估计,根据数据删除模型计算似然距离、Cook距离和Pena距离统计量,绘制诊断统计图.通过Monte Carlo模拟试验和实例分析比较,说明文章提出的方法行之有效,并在一定条件下Pena距离对异常点或强影响点的诊断优于似然距离和Cook距离.  相似文献

When a real-world data set is fitted to a specific type of models,it is often encountered that oneor a set of observations have undue influence on the model fitting,which may lead to misleading conclusions.Therefore,it is necessary for data analysts to identify these influential observations and assess their impacton various aspects of model fitting.In this paper,one type of modified Cook's distances is defined to gaugethe influence of one or a set observations on the estimate of the constant coefficient part in partially varying-coefficient models,and the Cook's distances are expressed as functions of the corresponding residuals andleverages.Meanwhile,a bootstrap procedure is suggested to derive the reference values for the proposed Cook'sdistances.Some simulations are conducted,and a real-world data set is further analyzed to examine theperformance of the proposed method.The experimental results are satisfactory.  相似文献
