Separativity and Stable Rane for Formal Triangular Matrix Rings

In this paper we study the formal triangular matrix ring T=[M B ↑ A 0],and give some necessary and sufficient conditions fot T to be (strongly)separative,m-fold stable and unit 1-stable,Moreover,a condition for finitely generated projective T-modules to have n in the stable range is given under the assumption that A and B are exchange rings.     

Strong （Weak） Exact Controllability and Strong （Weak） Exact Observability for Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

Numerical approximations of Cahn-Hilliard phase-field model for the two-phase incompressible flows are considered in this paper.Several efficient and energy stable time discretization schemes for the coupled nonlinear Cahn-Hilliard phase-field system for both the matched density case and the variable density case are constructed,and are shown to satisfy discrete energy laws which are analogous to the continuous energy laws.     

THE VOLTERRA MODEL FOR THREE SPACIES PREDATOR-PREY SYSTEMS IN LOOPS

We consider the three species predator-prey model with the same intrinsic growth rates, where species 3 feeds on species 2, species 2 feeds on species 1, species 1 feeds on species 3. An open question raised by Nishan Krikorian is answered: We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for all the orbits to be unbounded. We also obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the positive equilibrium to be globally stable. It is shown that there exists a family of neutrally stable periodic orbits, in which we extend Darboux method to three-species models for the first time.     

A QR DECOMPOSITION BASED SOLVER FOR THE LEAST SQUARES PROBLEMS FROM THE MINIMAL RESIDUAL METHOD FOR THE SYLVESTER EQUATION

Based on the generalized minimal residual （GMRES） principle, Hu and Reichel proposed a minimal residual algorithm for the Sylvester equation. The algorithm requires the solution of a structured least squares problem. They form the normal equations of the least squares problem and then solve it by a direct solver, so it is susceptible to instability. In this paper, by exploiting the special structure of the least squares problem and working on the problem directly, a numerically stable QR decomposition based algorithm is presented for the problem. The new algorithm is more stable than the normal equations algorithm of Hu and Reichel. Numerical experiments are reported to confirm the superior stability of the new algorithm.     

EFFICIENT NUMERICAL ALGORITHMS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL FRACTIONAL PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

This paper detailedly discusses the locally one-dimensional numerical methods for ef- ficiently solving the three-dimensional fractional partial differential equations, including fractional advection diffusion equation and Riesz fractional diffusion equation. The second order finite difference scheme is used to discretize the space fractional derivative and the Crank-Nicolson procedure to the time derivative. We theoretically prove and numerically verify that the presented numerical methods are unconditionally stable and second order convergent in both space and time directions. In particular, for the Riesz fractional dif- fusion equation, the idea of reducing the splitting error is used to further improve the algorithm, and the unconditional stability and convergency are also strictly proved and numerically verified for the improved scheme.     

Vanishing of Tate Homology — An Application of Stable Homology for Complexes

It has been proved that the vanishing of Tate homology is a sufficient condition for the derived depth formula to hold in [J. Pure Appl. Algebra, 219, 464–481(2015)]. In this paper, we investigate when Tate homology vanishes by studying the stable homology theory for complexes. Properties such as the balancedness and vanishing of stable homology for complexes are studied. Our results show that the vanishing of this homology can detect finiteness of homological dimensions of complexes and regularness of rings.     

STABILITY ANALYSIS OF THE SPLIT-STEP THETA METHOD FOR NONLINEAR REGIME-SWITCHING JUMP SYSTEMS

In this paper,we investigate the stability of the split-step theta(SST)method for a class of nonlinear regime-switching jump systems–neutral stochastic delay differential equations(NSDDEs)with Markov switching and jumps.As we know,there are few results on the stability of numerical solutions for NSDDEs with Markov switching and jumps.The purpose of this paper is to enrich conclusions in such respect.It first devotes to show that the trivial solution of the NSDDE with Markov switching and jumps is exponentially mean square stable and asymptotically mean square stable under some suitable conditions.If the drift coefficient also satisfies the linear growth condition,it then proves that the SST method applied to the NSDDE with Markov switching and jumps shares the same conclusions with the exact solution.Moreover,a numerical example is demonstrated to illustrate the obtained results.     

TIME INCONSISTENCY AND REPUTATION IN MONETARY POLICY： A STRATEGIC MODELLING IN CONTINUOUS TIME

This article develops a model to examine the equilibrium behavior of the time inconsistency problem in a continuous time economy with stochastic and endogenized distortion. First, the authors introduce the notion of sequentially rational equilibrium, and show that the time inconsistency problem may be solved with trigger reputation strategies for stochastic setting. The conditions for the existence of sequentially rational equilibrium are provided. Then, the concept of sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium is introduced. The authors compare the relative stability between the cooperative behavior and uncooperative behavior, and show that the cooperative equilibrium in this monetary policy game is a sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium and the uncooperative equilibrium is sequentially rational stochastically unstable equilibrium. In the long run, the zero inflation monetary policies are inherently more stable than the discretion rules, and once established, they tend to persist for longer periods of the time.     

STABLE SOLUTION OF TIME DOMAIN INTEGRAL EQUATION METHODS USING QUADRATIC B-SPLINE TEMPORAL BASIS FUNCTIONS

This paper is concerned with stable solutions of time domain integral equation （TDIE） methods for transient scattering problems with 3D conducting objects. We use the quadratic B-spline function as temporal basis functions, which permits both the induced currents and induced charges to be properly approximated in terms of completeness. Because the B-spline function has the least support width among all polynomial basis functions of the same order, the resulting system matrices seem to be the sparsest. The TDIE formula-tions using induced electric polarizations as unknown function are adopted and justified. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed approach is accurate and efficient, and no late-time instability is observed.     

C^N中多项式自同构的动力系统

This paper is assigned to discuss the dynamics of a special class of polynomial automorphisms of C^N which was shown to be dense in the group of the polynomial automorphisms.We give some results about the analytic and geometric properties of the filled-in Julia set and the nonwandering set.We also make a characterization of the stable and unstable manifold for the filled-in Julia set.Furthermore,the number of the fixes points for such maps is studied.

On the Exponential Stability of C0-Semigroups on Banach Spaces with Compact Perturbations

B (t) denote the C₀-semigroups generated by linear operators A,A+B respectively on a Banach space X. We show, in this article, that if (i) T(t₀)-T_B (t₀) is compact for some t₀>0, (ii) T(t) is asymptotically stable, (iii) T_B(t) is exponentially stable, then T(t) is also exponentially stable. This generalizes a result on compact perturbations proved by Triggiani [Proc. AMS.,105(1989),375-383] on Hilbert spaces. Comunicated by

本文针对93年全国大学生数学建模竞赛B题,运用模糊聚类分析的方法,讨论了足球队比赛的排名问题,得到的结果是:T_7,T_1,T_3,T_9,T_(10),T_8,T_(11),T_(12),T_2,T_6,T_5,T_4,此排名结果合理、可信,并且对参数在一定范围内的变化有良好的稳定性。     

On the dimension of partially ordered sets

A generalization of the concept of dimension of a poset, the stable dimension, is introduced, and it is shown that there is a simple procedure for determining its value. No such procedure is known for the dimension itself. The main theorem shows that the stable dimension is equal to the maximum number of elements in a pair of antichains of the set, one lying above the other. The stable dimension can be used to find bounds for the dimension, including one which is an improvement on a bound given by W. T. Trotter, Jr., [Irreducible posets with large height exist,     

Balance in Stable Categories

We study when the stable category ${\mathcal A}/\langle{\mathcal T}\rangleWe study when the stable category A/áT?{\mathcal A}/\langle{\mathcal T}\rangle of an abelian category A{\mathcal A} modulo a full additive subcategory T{\mathcal T} is balanced and, in case T{\mathcal T} is functorially finite in A{\mathcal A}, we study a weak version of balance for A/áT?{\mathcal A}/\langle{\mathcal T}\rangle. Precise necessary and sufficient conditions are given in case T{\mathcal T} is either a Serre class or a class consisting of projective objects. The results in this second case apply very neatly to (generalizations of) hereditary abelian categories.     

An Adaptive Mesh-Refining Algorithm Allowing for an <Emphasis Type="Italic">H</Emphasis><Superscript>1</Superscript> Stable <Emphasis Type="Italic">L</Emphasis><Superscript>2</Superscript> Projection onto Courant Finite Element Spaces

Suppose $\cal{S}^1({\cal T})\subset H^1(\Omega)$ is the $P_1$-finite element space of $\cal{T}$-piecewise affine functions based on a regular triangulation $\cal{T}$ of a two-dimensional surface $\Omega$ into triangles. The $L^2$ projection $\Pi$ onto $\cal{S}^1(\cal{T})$ is $H^1$ stable if $\norm{\Pi v}{H^1(\Omega)}\le C\norm{v}{H^1(\Omega)}$ for all $v$ in the Sobolev space $H^1(\Omega)$ and if the bound $C$ does not depend on the mesh-size in $\cal{T}$ or on the dimension of $\cal{S}^1(\cal{T})$. \hskip 1em A red–green–blue refining adaptive algorithm is designed which refines a coarse mesh $\cal{T}_0$ successively such that each triangle is divided into one, two, three, or four subtriangles. This is the newest vertex bisection supplemented with possible red refinements based on a careful initialization. The resulting finite element space allows for an $H^1$ stable $L^2$ projection. The stability bound $C$ depends only on the coarse mesh $\cal{T}_0$ through the number of unknowns, the shapes of the triangles in $\cal{T}_0$, and possible Dirichlet boundary conditions. Our arguments also provide a discrete version $\norm{h_\cal{T}^{-1}\,\Pi v}{L^2(\Omega)}\le C\norm{h_\cal{T}^{-1}\,v}{L^2(\Omega)}$ in $L^2$ norms weighted with the mesh-size $h_\T$.

一类HIV病毒动力学模型的全局稳定性与周期解

建立了一类较广泛的HIV感染CD4+T细胞病毒动力学模型,给出了一个感染细胞在其整个感染期内产生的病毒的平均数(基本再生数)R0的表达式,运用Lyapunov原理和Routh-Hurwitz判据得到了该模型的未感染平衡点与感染平衡点的存在性与稳定性条件.同时也得到了模型存在轨道渐近稳定周期解和系统持续生存的条件,并通过数值模拟验证了所得到的结果.     

Weakly Nonlinear Lower-Branch Stability of Fully Developed and Developing Free-Surface Flows

We examine the weakly nonlinear stability of both fully developedand of developing liquid layers. The study of these free-surfaceflows is more complicated than that of many other flows owingto the fully nonlinear boundary conditions present. The scalingsused for the two problems follow from the work of J. S. B. Gajjar,who described their linear stability properties. We use thetechnique given by F. T. Smith to derive amplitude equationsof the type presented by J. T. Stuart and J. Watson. Both flowsare found to be supercritically stable in general and a varietyof asymptotic cases are considered.
