A Method of Representing Rough Sets System Determined by Quasi Orders

In this paper, we study about the ordered structure of rough sets determined by a quasi order. A characterization theorem for rough sets of an approximation space (U, R) based on a quasi order R is given in Nagarajan and Umadevi (2010). Then using the characterization of rough sets determined by a quasi order, its rough sets system is represented by a new construction. This construction is generalized and abstracted into a new method of constructing Kleene based algebraic structures from dually isomorphic distributive lattices. Then by using different varieties of distributive lattices, we obtain various Kleene based algebraic structures. By this construction, we give various algebraic structures to the rough sets system determined by a quasi order R.

Representation of Nelson algebras by rough sets determined by quasiorders

In this paper, we show that every quasiorder R induces a Nelson algebra ${{\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ such that the underlying rough set lattice RS is algebraic. We note that ${{\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ is a three-valued ?ukasiewicz algebra if and only if R is an equivalence. Our main result says that if ${{\mathbb A}}$ is a Nelson algebra defined on an algebraic lattice, then there exists a set U and a quasiorder R on U such that ${{\mathbb A} \cong {\mathbb R}{\mathbb S}}$ .     

On Λ-generalized closed sets in topological spaces

We introduce new classes of sets called Λ _g -closed sets and Λ _g -open sets in topological spaces. We also investigate several properties of such sets. It turns out that Λ _g -closed sets and Λ _g -open sets are weaker forms of closed sets and open sets, respectively and stronger forms of g-closed sets and g-open sets, respectively. On L-fuzzy topological spaces

L-fuzzy sets and, subsequently, L-fuzzy topological spaces are considered in this paper, where L is a complete and completely distributive non-atomic Boolean algebra. A few separation properties as well as subspace L-fuzzy topology are defined here, in the light of an earlier paper. These are more similar to ordinary topological spaces than to fuzzy topological spaces.     

Derivations of CDC algebras

A CDC algebra is a reflexive operator algebra whose lattice is completely distributive and commutative. Nearly twenty years ago, Gilfeather and Moore obtained a necessary and sufficient condition for an isomorphism between CDC algebras to be quasi-spatial. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a derivation δ of CDC algebras to be quasi-spatial. Namely, δ is quasi-spatial if and only if δ(R) maps the kernel of R into the range of R for each finite rank operator R. Some examples are presented to show the sharpness of the condition. We also establish a sufficient condition on the lattice that guarantees that every derivation is quasi-spatial.     

On some very strong compactness conditions

The aim of this paper is to consider compactness notions by utilizing ??-sets, V-sets, locally closed sets, locally open sets, ??-closed sets and ??-open sets. We completely characterize these variations of compactness, and also provide various interesting examples that support our results.
