In this paper, the authors investigate the zeros and growth of solutions of second order linear differential equations with entire coefficients of [p, q]-order and obtain some results which improve and generalize some previous results.     

Modified Legendre Rational Spectral Method for the Whole Line

A mutually orthogonal system of rationalSome approximation results are establishedfunctions on the whole line is introduced.As an example of applications, a modified Legendre rational spectral scheme is given for the Dirac equation. Its numerical solution keeps the same conservation as the genuine solution. This feature not only leads to reasonable numerical simulation of nonlinear waves, but also simplifies the analysis. The convergence of the proposed scheme is proved. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of this new approach and coincide with the analysis well.     

增生映射的扰动理论对与广义(p,q)-Laplace算子相关的非线性椭圆系的应用

Using perturbation results on the sums of ranges of nonlinear accretive mappings of Calvert and Gupta, we present some abstract results for the existence of the solutions of nonlinear Neumann elliptic systems which is related to the so-called generalized （p, q）-Laplacian in this paper. The systems discussed in this paper and the method used extend and complement some of the previous work.

By using the idea of weighted sharing of values, the problem of uniqueness of meromorphic functions that share two values is studied. The results in this paper improve some theorems given by M.Ozawa and Yi Hongxun et al.     

GLOBAL EXPONENTIAL STABILITY TO A CLASS OF DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM WITH DELAY

The global exponential stability of the zero solution to a class of differential system with delay is considered.By constructing a suitable type of Lyapunov functional and using some analytical techniques,we derive some criteria to check exponential stability of this system.The results establish a relation between the delay time and the parameters of the system.Two examples are also given to illustrate the validity of the results.     

Hilbert空间的无穷维Compound算子方程

In this article, we consider compound matrices and compound operator equations in a Hilbert space. First, we recall some concepts and main results introduced by Muldowney and by Roger Temam. After that we establish the rule of compound matrices in a Hilbert space, and obtain the expression of solution to a compound operator equation by using the method of operator semigroup. Our brief results generalize the corresponding results in a finite space.     

UNIQUENESS OF DIFFERENCE POLYNOMIALS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS

In this article, we investigate the uniqueness problems of difference polynomials of meromorphic functions and obtain some results which can be viewed as discrete analogues of the results given by Shibazaki. Some examples are given to show the results in this article are best possible.     

AREA INTEGRAL FUNCTIONS FOR SECTORIAL OPERATORS ON L^p SPACES

Area integral functions are introduced for sectorial operators on Lp-spaces. We establish the equivalence between the square and area integral functions for sectorial operators on Lpspaces. This follows that the results of Cowling, Doust, McIntosh, Yagi, and Le Merdy on H∞functional calculus of sectorial operators on Lp-spaces hold true when the square functions are replaced by the area integral functions.     

Multiplication formulas for Kubert functions

The aim of this paper is two folds. First, we shall prove a general reduction theorem to the Spannenintegral of products of （generalized） Kubert functions. Second, we apply the special case of Carlitz＇s theorem to the elaboration of earlier results on the mean values of the product of Dirichlet L-functions at integer arguments. Carlitz＇s theorem is a generalization of a classical result of Nielsen in 1923. Regarding the reduction theorem, we shall unify both the results of Carlitz （for sums） and Mordell （for integrals）, both of which are generalizations of preceding results by Frasnel, Landau, Mikolas, and Romanoff et al. These not only generalize earlier results but also cover some recent results. For example, Beck＇s lamma is the same as Carlitz＇s result, while some results of Maier may be deduced from those of Romanoff. To this end, we shall consider the Stiletjes integral which incorporates both sums and integrals. Now, we have an expansion of the sum of products of Bernoulli polynomials that we may apply it to elaborate on the results of afore-mentioned papers and can supplement them by related results.     

SOME RESEARCHES ON WEAK CONVERGENCE OF KERGIN INTERPOLATION

The aim of this paper is to study the weak integral convergence of Kergin interpolation. The results of the weighted integral convergence and the weighted （partial） derivatives integral convergence of Kergin interpolation polynomial for the smooth functions on the unit disk were obtained in the paper. Those generalized Liang＇s main results were acquired in 1998 to the more extensive situation. At the same time, the estimation of convergence rate of Kergin interpolation polynomial is given by means of introducing a new kind of smooth norm.     

On the extremality of maximal dual feasible functions

Dual feasible functions have been used to compute bounds and valid inequalities for combinatorial optimization problems. Here, we analyze the properties of some of the best functions proposed so far. Additionally, we provide new results for composed functions. These results will allow improving the computation of bounds and valid inequalities.     

Generalized B-vex functions and generalized B-vex programming

A class of functions called pseudo B-vex and quasi B-vex functions is introduced by relaxing the definitions of B-vex, pseudoconvex, and quasiconvex functions. Similarly, the class of B-invex, pseudo B-invex, and quasi B-invex functions is defined as a generalization of B-vex, pseudo B-vex, and quasi B-vex functions. The sufficient optimality conditions and duality results are obtained for a nonlinear programming problem involving B-vex and B-invex functions.The first author is thankful to the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada for financial support through Grant A-5319. Dirichlet problem for pluriholomorphic functions of two complex variables

In this paper the Dirichlet problem for pluriholomorphic functions of two complex variables is investigated. The key point is the relation between pluriholomorphic functions and pluriharmonic functions. The link is constituted by the Fueter-regular functions of one quaternionic variable. Previous results about the boundary values of pluriharmonic functions and new results on L² traces of regular functions are applied to obtain a characterization of the traces of pluriholomorphic functions.     

Theoretical investigations on maximal dual feasible functions

Dual feasible functions are used to get valid inequalities and lower bounds for integer linear problems. In this paper, we provide a simpler proof for maximality, and we describe new results concerning the extremality of functions from the literature. Extremal functions are a dominant class of dual feasible functions.     

On Duality for a Class of Quasiconcave Multiplicative Programs

Multiplicative programs are a difficult class of nonconvex programs that have received increasing attention because of their many applications. However, given their nonconvex nature, few theoretical results are available. In this paper, we study a particular case of these programs which involves the maximization of a quasiconcave function over a linear constraint set. Using results from conjugate function theory and generalized geometric programming, we derive a complete duality theory. The results are further specialized to linear multiplicative programming.     

Indefinite integrals of special functions from inhomogeneous differential equations

A method is presented for deriving integrals of special functions which obey inhomogeneous second-order linear differential equations. Inhomogeneous equations are readily derived for functions satisfying second-order homogeneous equations. Sample results are derived for Bessel functions, parabolic cylinder functions, Gauss hypergeometric functions and the six classical orthogonal polynomials. For the orthogonal polynomials the method gives indefinite integrals which reduce to the usual orthogonality conditions on the usual orthogonality intervals. These indefinite integrals for the orthogonal polynomials appear to be new. All results have been checked with Mathematica.     

Indefinite integrals of products of special functions

A method is given for deriving indefinite integrals involving squares and other products of functions which are solutions of second-order linear differential equations. Several variations of the method are presented, which applies directly to functions which obey homogeneous differential equations. However, functions which obey inhomogeneous equations can be incorporated into the products and examples are given of integrals involving products of Bessel functions combined with Lommel, Anger and Weber functions. Many new integrals are derived for a selection of special functions, including Bessel functions, associated Legendre functions, and elliptic integrals. A number of integrals of products of Gauss hypergeometric functions are also presented, which seem to be the first integrals of this type. All results presented have been numerically checked with Mathematica.     

Inequalities for Humbert functions

This paper is motivated by an open problem of Luke’s theorem. We consider the problem of developing a unified point of view on the theory of inequalities of Humbert functions and of their general ratios are obtained. Some particular cases and refinements are given. Finally, we obtain some important results involving inequalities of Bessel and Whittaker’s functions as applications.     

Indefinite integrals of quotients of special functions

A new method is presented for deriving indefinite integrals involving quotients of special functions. The method combines an integration formula given previously with the recursion relations obeyed by the function. Some additional results are presented using an elementary method, here called reciprocation, which can also be used in combination with the new method to obtain additional quotient integrals. Sample results are given here for Bessel functions, Airy functions, associated Legendre functions and the three complete elliptic integrals. All results given have been numerically checked with Mathematica.

The main objective of this paper is to derive the upper bounds for the coefficients of functions in a subclass of analytic and bi-univalent functions associated with Faber polynomials.The consequences presented here point out and correct the errors of some earlier results.
