For quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristics of constant multiplicity, suppose that characteristics of constant multiplicity(> 1) are linearly degenerate, by means of generalized normalized coordinates we get the global existence and the blow-up phenomenon of the C^1 solution to the Cauchy problem under an additional hypothesis.

Multiple symmetric results for singular quasilinear elliptic systems with critical homogeneous nonlinearity

This paper deals with the existence and multiplicity of symmetric solutions for a class of singular quasilinear elliptic systems with critical homogeneous nonlinearity in a bounded symmetric domain. Applying variational methods and the symmetric criticality principle of Palais, we establish several existence and multiplicity results of G‐symmetric solutions under some appropriate assumptions on the weighted functions and the parameters. A discrete fourth-order Lidstone problem with parameters

Various existence, multiplicity, and nonexistence results for nontrivial solutions to a nonlinear discrete fourth-order Lidstone boundary value problem with dependence on two parameters are given, using a symmetric Green’s function approach. An existence result is also given for a related semipositone problem, thus relaxing the usual assumption of nonnegativity on the nonlinear term.     

Existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions for some second order differential systems with p(t)-Laplacian

In this paper, we deal with the existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions for the p(t)-Laplacian Hamiltonian system. Some new existence theorems are obtained by using the least action principle and minmax methods in critical point theory, and our results generalize and improve some existence theorems.     

Multiplicity of solutions for a class of Schrödinger–Maxwell systems

In this paper, we study existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions for a class of Schrödinger–Maxwell systems via variational methods. Some new existence results of nontrivial solutions are obtained.

Periodic solutions of second order nonlinear difference equations with discrete -Laplacian

We use Brouwer degree to prove existence and multiplicity results for the periodic solutions of some nonlinear second order difference equations involving discrete -Laplacian. We obtain in particular upper and lower solutions theorems, Ambrosetti–Prodi type multiplicity results, sharp existence conditions for nonlinearities which are bounded from below or from above and necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive periodic solutions when the nonlinearity is singular at 0.     

Existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to Schrödinger–Poisson type systems with critical nonlocal term

The existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive radially symmetric solutions to a class of Schrödinger–Poisson type systems with critical nonlocal term are studied with variational methods. The existence of both the ground state solution and mountain pass type solutions are proved. It is shown that the parameter ranges of existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the critical nonlocal case are completely different from the ones for the subcritical nonlocal system.     

Positive solutions for a system of nonlinear singular Hammerstein integral equations via nonnegative matrices and applications

We are concerned with the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for the system of nonlinear singular Hammerstein integral equations $$u_i(t)=\int_a^bk_i(t,s)g_i(s)f_i(s,u_1(s),\ldots,u_n(s)) {\rm d} s,\quad i=1,2,\ldots,n.$$ We use fixed point index theory to establish our main results based on a priori estimates achieved by utilizing nonnegative matrices. As applications, the main results are applied to establish the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for an elliptic system in an annulus.

Multiple solutions for a class of biharmonic elliptic systems with Sobolev critical exponent

In this paper, we study the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions for a class of biharmonic elliptic systems with Sobolev critical exponent in a bounded domain. By using the variational method and the Nehari manifold, we obtain the existence and multiplicity results of nontrivial solutions for the systems.     

Periodic solutions for nonautonomous second order systems with sublinear nonlinearity

The existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions are obtained for nonautonomous second order systems with sublinear nonlinearity by using the least action principle and the minimax methods.

     

Existence and subharmonicity of solutions for nonlinear non-smooth periodic systems with a -Laplacian

In the present paper, we consider the nonlinear periodic systems driven by a vectorial p-Laplacian with a locally Lipschitz nonlinearity. Some existence, multiplicity and subharmonic results are obtained by using non-smooth critical point theory.     

Positive solutions of the system for nth-order singular nonlocal boundary value problems

The paper deals with the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to systems of nth-order singular nonlocal boundary value problems. The main tool used in the proof is fixed point index theory in cone. Some limit type conditions for ensuring the existence of positive solutions are given.     

Multiplicity results of nonlinear fractional magnetic Schrödinger equation with steep potential

In this article, we prove the existence and multiplicity of non-trivial solutions for an indefinite fractional elliptic equation with magnetic field and concave–convex nonlinearities. Our multiplicity results are based on studying the decomposition of the Nehari manifold.     

Multiplicity of solutions for a class of elliptic systems with critical Sobolev exponent

In this paper we consider systems of p-q-Laplacian elliptic equations with critical Sobolev exponent. The existence and multiplicity results of solutions are obtained by a limit index method.
