We endow any proper A-convex H*-algebra (E, τ) with a locally pre-C*-topology. The latter is equivalent to that introduced by the pre C*-norm given by Ptàk function when (E, τ) is a Q-algebra. We also prove that the algebra of complex numbers is the unique proper locally A-convex H*-algebra which is barrelled and Q-algebra.   相似文献

In a locallyA-convex algebra (E, τ) we consider the associatedm-convex topologym(τ). We show that the completion ofE with respect tom(τ) is always a locallyA-convex algebra contained in the complete locally convex space obtained from (E, τ). The topologym(τ) is also used to characterize locally boundedly multiplicatively convex algebras among locallyA-convex ones.

Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space, Cb(X) the space of all scalar-valued bounded continuous functions on X with strict topologies. We prove that these are locally convex topological algebras with jointly continuous multiplication. In this paper we establish a collectively fixed point theorem and an equilibrium existence theorem for generalized games in product locally G-convex uniform spaces. As applications, some new existence theorems of solutions for the system of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems are derived in product locally G-convex uniform spaces. The classical transitivity theorem of R. Kadison for C1-algebras is here extended to the case of a locally C1-algebra E. As a consequence, within the same context, various standard facts referred to the space of representations of E are obtained, broadening thus naturally out an earlier framework considered by this author, the relevant results being namely obtained hitherto only for bQ locally m-convex 1-algebras.  相似文献

By applying the maximal element theorems on product of G-convex spaces due to the first author, some equilibrium existence theorems for generalized games with fuzzy constraint correspondences are proved in G-convex spaces. As applications, some existence theorems of solutions for the system of generalized vector quasiequilibrium problem are established in noncompact product of G-convex spaces. In this paper, a topological intersection theorem of a family of sets with H-convex sections is established. As an application to this theorem, the Nash equilibrium of abstract economy, the Ky-Fan minimax theorem, and an existence problem of solution for quasi-variational inequality are studied. The purpose of this paper is to exhibit the relations between some basic results derived from the two kinds of topologies (namely the (ε,λ)-topology and the stronger locally L0-convex topology) for a random locally convex module. First, we give an extremely simple proof of the known Hahn-Banach extension theorem for L0-linear functions as well as its continuous variant. Then we give the relations between the hyperplane separation theorems in [D. Filipovi?, M. Kupper, N. Vogelpoth, Separation and duality in locally L0-convex modules, J. Funct. Anal. 256 (2009) 3996-4029] and a basic strict separation theorem in [T.X. Guo, H.X. Xiao, X.X. Chen, A basic strict separation theorem in random locally convex modules, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 3794-3804]: in the process we also obtain a very useful fact that a random locally convex module with the countable concatenation property must have the same completeness under the two topologies. As applications of the fact, we prove that most of the previously established principal results of random conjugate spaces of random normed modules under the (ε,λ)-topology are still valid under the locally L0-convex topology, which considerably enriches financial applications of random normed modules.  相似文献

Let B be the class of 'better' admissible multimaps due to the author. We introduce new concepts of admissibility (in the sense of Klee) and of Klee approximability for subsets of G-convex uniform spaces and show that any compact closed multimap in B from a G-convex space into itself with the Klee approximable range has a fixed point. This new theorem contains a large number of known results on topological vector spaces or on various subclasses of the class of admissible G-convex spaces. Such subclasses are those of O-spaces, sets of the Zima-Hadzic type, locally G-convex spaces, and LG-spaces. Mutual relations among those subclasses and some related results are added.  相似文献

We show that several spaces of holomorphic functions on a Riemann domain over a Banach space, including the nuclear and Hilbert–Schmidt bounded type, are locally m-convex Fréchet algebras. We prove that the spectrum of these algebras has a natural analytic structure, which we use to characterize the envelope of holomorphy. We also show a Cartan–Thullen type theorem.  相似文献

The problem of estimating a set S from a random sample of points taken within S is considered. It is assumed that S is r-convex, which means that a ball of radius r can go around from outside the set boundary. Under this assumption, the r-convex hull of the sample is a natural estimator of S. We obtain convergence rates for this estimator under both the distance in measure and the Hausdorff metric between sets. It is also proved that the boundary of the estimator consistently estimates the boundary of S, in Hausdorff's sense.  相似文献

An “m-consecutive-k-out-of-n:F system” consists of n components ordered on a line; the system fails if and only if there are at least m nonoverlapping runs of k consecutive failed components. In this paper, we give a recursive formula to compute the reliability of such a system. Thereafter, we state two asymptotic results concerning the failure time Z n of the system. The first result concerns a limit theorem for Z n when the failure times of components are not necessarily with identical failure distributions. In the second one, we prove that, for an arbitrary common failure distribution of components, the limit system failure distribution is always of the Poisson class.   相似文献

In Ref 1, Yang shows that some of the results obtained in Ref. 2 on E-convex programming are incorrect, but does not prove that the results which make the connection between an E-convex function and its E-epigraph are incorrect. In this note, we show that the results obtained in Ref. 2 concerning the characterization of an E-convex function f in terms of its E-epigraph are incorrect. Busemann's theorem states that the intersection body of an origin-symmetric convex body is also convex. In this paper we provide a version of Busemann's theorem for p-convex bodies. We show that the intersection body of a p-convex body is q-convex for certain q. Furthermore, we discuss the sharpness of the previous result by constructing an appropriate example. This example is also used to show that IK, the intersection body of K, can be much farther away from the Euclidean ball than K. Finally, we extend these theorems to some general measure spaces with log-concave and s-concave measures.  相似文献
