Investigations of blue phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) based on [Ir(2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine)(2)(picolinate)] (FIrPic) have pointed to the cleavage of the picolinate as a possible reason for device instability. We reproduced the loss of picolinate and acetylacetonate ancillary ligands in solution by the addition of Br?nsted or Lewis acids. When hydrochloric acid is added to a solution of a [Ir(C^N)(2)(X^O)] complex (C^N = 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) or 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine (diFppy) and X^O = picolinate (pic) or acetylacetonate (acac)), the cleavage of the ancillary ligand results in the direct formation of the chloro-bridged iridium(III) dimer [{Ir(C^N)(2)(μ-Cl)}(2)]. When triflic acid or boron trifluoride are used, a source of chloride (here tetrabutylammonium chloride) is added to obtain the same chloro-bridged iridium(III) dimer. Then, we advantageously used this degradation reaction for the efficient synthesis of tris-heteroleptic cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes [Ir(C^N(1))(C^N(2))(L)], a family of cyclometalated complexes otherwise challenging to prepare. We used an iridium(I) complex, [{Ir(COD)(μ-Cl)}(2)], and a stoichiometric amount of two different C^N ligands (C^N(1) = ppy; C^N(2) = diFppy) as starting materials for the swift preparation of the chloro-bridged iridium(III) dimers. After reacting the mixture with acetylacetonate and subsequent purification, the tris-heteroleptic complex [Ir(ppy)(diFppy)(acac)] could be isolated with good yield from the crude containing as well the bis-heteroleptic complexes [Ir(ppy)(2)(acac)] and [Ir(diFppy)(2)(acac)]. Reaction of the tris-heteroleptic acac complex with hydrochloric acid gives pure heteroleptic chloro-bridged iridium dimer [{Ir(ppy)(diFppy)(μ-Cl)}(2)], which can be used as starting material for the preparation of a new tris-heteroleptic iridium(III) complex based on these two C^N ligands. Finally, we use DFT/LR-TDDFT to rationalize the impact of the two different C^N ligands on the observed photophysical and electrochemical properties.  相似文献

Co(III) complexes of N(3)O-donor tripodal ligands, 2,4-di(tert-butyl)-6-{[bis(2-pyridyl)methyl]aminomethyl}phenolate (tbuL), 2,4-di(tert-butyl)-6-{[bis(6-methyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]aminomethyl}phenolate (tbuL(Mepy)(2)), were prepared, and precursor Co(II) complexes, [Co(tbuL)Cl] (1) and [Co(tbuL(Mepy)(2))Cl] (2), and ternary Co(III) complexes, [Co(tbuL)(acac)]ClO(4) (3), [Co(tbuL)(tbu-cat)] (4), and [Co(tbuL(Mepy)(2))(tbu-SQ)]ClO(4) (5), where acac, tbu-cat, and tbu-SQ refer to pentane-2,4-dionate, 3,5-di(tert-butyl)catecholate, and 3,5-di(tert-butyl)semiquinonate, respectively, were structurally characterized by the X-ray diffraction method. Complexes 3 and 5 have a mononuclear structure with a fac-N(3)O(3) donor set, while 4 has a mer-N(3)O(3) structure. The cyclic voltammogram (CV) of complex 3 exhibited one reversible redox wave centered at 0.93 V (vs Ag/AgCl) in CH(3)CN. Complex 5 was converted to a phenoxyl radical species upon oxidation with Ce(IV), showing a characteristic pi-pi* transition band at 412 nm. The ESR spectrum at low temperature and the resonance Raman spectrum of 3 established that the radical species has a Co(III)-phenoxyl radical bond. On the other hand, the CVs showed two oxidation processes at E(1/2) = 0.01 and E(pa) = 0.92 V for 4 and E(1/2a) = 0.05 and E(1/2b) = 0.69 V for 5. The rest potential of 4 (-0.11 V) was lower than the E(1/2) value, whereas that of 5 (0.18 V) was higher, indicating that the first redox wave of 4 and 5 is assigned to the tbu-cat and the tbu-SQ redox process, respectively. One-electron oxidized 4 showed absorption, resonance Raman, and ESR spectra which are similar to those of 5, suggesting formation of a stable Co(III)-semiquinonate species, which has the same oxidation level of 5. The resonance Raman spectrum of two-electron oxidized 4 showed the nu(8a) bands of the semiquinonate and phenoxyl radical, which were absent in the spectrum of one-electron oxidized 5. Since both oxidized species were ESR inactive at 5 K, the former was concluded to be a biradical species containing semiquinonate and phenoxyl radicals coupled antiferromagnetically and the latter to a species with a coordinated quinone.  相似文献

The chloro-bridged rhodium and iridium complexes [M2(BTSE)2Cl2] (M = Rh 1, Ir 2) bearing the chelating bis-sulfoxide tBuSOC2H4SOtBu (BTSE) were prepared by the reaction of [M2(COE)4Cl2] (M = Rh, Ir; COE = cyclooctene) with an excess of a racemic mixture of the ligand. The cationic compounds [M(BTSE)2][PF6] (M = Rh 3, Ir 4), bearing one S- and one O-bonded sulfoxide, were also obtained in good yields. The chloro-bridges in 2 can be cleaved with 2-methyl-6-pyridinemethanol and 2-aminomethyl pyridine, resulting in the iridium(I) complexes [Ir(BTSE)(Py)(Cl)] (Py = 2-methyl-6-pyridinemethanol 5, 2-aminomethyl-pyridine 6). In case of the bulky 2-hydroxy- isopropyl-pyridine, selective OH oxidative addition took place, forming the Ir(III)-hydride [Ir(BTSE)(2-isopropoxy-pyridine)(H)(Cl)] 7, with no competition from the six properly oriented C-H bonds. The cationic rhodium(I) and iridium(I) compounds [M(BTSE)(2-aminomethyl-pyridine)][X] (M = Rh 8, Ir 10), [Rh(BTSE)(2-hydroxy- isopropyl-pyridine)][X] 9(stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bonding), [Ir(BTSE)(pyridine)2][PF6] 12, [Ir(BTSE)(alpha-picoline)2][PF6] 13, and [Rh(BTSE)(1,10-phenanthroline)][PF6] 14 were prepared either by chloride abstraction from the dimeric precursors or by replacement of the labile oxygen bonded sulfoxide in 3 or 4. Complex 14 exhibits a dimeric structure in the solid state by pi-pi stacking of the phenanthroline ligands.  相似文献

Two newly prepared oligothienylpyridines, 5-(2-pyridyl)-5'-dodecyl-2,2'-bithiophene, HL(2), and 5-(2-pyridyl)-5'-dodecyl-2,2':5',2'-ter-thiophene, HL(3), bind to platinum(II) and iridium(III) as N∧C-coordinating ligands, cyclometallating at position C(4) in the thiophene ring adjacent to the pyridine, leaving a chain of either one or two pendent thiophenes. The synthesis of complexes of the form [PtL(n)(acac)] and [Ir(L(n))(2)(acac)] (n = 2 or 3) is described. The absorption and luminescence properties of these four new complexes are compared with the behavior of the known complexes [PtL(1)(acac)] and [Ir(L(1))(2)(acac)] {HL(1) = 2-(2-thienyl)pyridine}, and the profound differences in behavior are interpreted with the aid of time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations. Whereas [PtL(1)(acac)] displays solely intense phosphorescence from a triplet state of mixed ππ*/MLCT character, the phosphorescence of [PtL(2)(acac)] and [PtL(3)(acac)] is weak, strongly red shifted, and accompanied by higher-energy fluorescence. TD-DFT reveals that this difference is probably due to the metal character in the lowest-energy excited states being strongly attenuated upon introduction of the additional thienyl rings, such that the spin-orbit coupling effect of the metal in promoting intersystem crossing is reduced. A similar pattern of behavior is observed for the iridium complexes, except that the changeover to dual emission is delayed to the terthiophene complex [Ir(L(3))(2)(acac)], reflecting the higher degree of metal character in the frontier orbitals of the iridium complexes than their platinum counterparts.  相似文献

Photolysis of a series of octahedral monoazido complexes of the type [LM(III)(didentate ligand)(N(3))](n)(+)X(n) of vanadium(III), chromium(III), and manganese(III) in the solid state or in solution yields quantitatively the corresponding six-coordinate nitrido complexes [LM(V)(didentate ligand)(N)](n)(+)X(n) and 1 equiv of dinitrogen. L represents the macrocycle 1,4,7-triazacyclononane or its N-methylated derivative (L'), the didentate ligands are pentane-2,4-dionate (acac), 2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dionate (tacac), picolinate (pic), phenanthroline (phen), and oxalate (ox), and X(-) represents perchlorate or hexafluorophosphate. The following nitrido complexes were prepared: [LV(V)(N)(acac)](ClO(4)) (6), [LCr(V)(N)(acac)](ClO(4)) (13), [LCr(V)(N)(tacac)](ClO(4)) (14), [LCr(V)(N)(pic)](ClO(4)) (15), [LCr(V)(N)(phen)](ClO(4))(2) (16), [LCr(V)(N)(ox)] (19), [L'Mn(V)(N)(acac)]PF(6) (21). Photolysis of [LCr(III)(N(3))(ox)] (17) in the solid state produces the &mgr;-nitrido-bridged mixed-valent species [L(2)Cr(2)(ox)(2)(&mgr;-N)](N(3)) (18). The structures of the precursor complex [L'Mn(acac)(N(3))]BPh(4) (20), of 13, and of [L'Mn(V)(N)(acac)]BPh(4) (21) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 13 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, with cell constants a = 27.187(5) ?, b = 9.228(2) ?, c = 7.070(1) ?, V = 1773.7(6) ?(3), and Z = 4; complex 20 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr; with a = 14.769(5) ?, b = 16.83(1) ?, c = 16.96(1) ?, alpha = 108.19(5) degrees, beta = 105.06(4) degrees, gamma = 99.78(4) degrees, V = 3719(2) ?(3), and Z = 4; and complex 21 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.443(3) ?, b = 16.035(4) ?, c = 21.463(5) ?, beta = 95.76(1) degrees, V = 3575.9(14) ?(3), and Z = 4. The Cr(V)&tbd1;N and Mn(V)&tbd1;N distances are short at 1.575(9) and 1.518(4) ?, respectively, and indicate a metal-to-nitrogen triple bond.  相似文献

Several new cobalt(III) complexes containing (3-aminopropyl)dimethylphosphine (pdmp) have been prepared, and their molecular structures have been determined. A dichloro complex of trans(Cl,Cl)-cis(P,P)-[CoCl(2)(pdmp)(2)]PF(6) (1) was prepared from trans-[CoCl(2)(py)(4)]Cl.6H(2)O and pdmp. X-Ray crystallography confirmed the (C(2))-chair(2) conformation of two six-membered pdmp chelate rings in 1, while the analogous 1,3-bis(dimethylphosphino)propane (dmpp) complex trans-[CoCl(2)(dmpp)(2)]ClO(4) (3) exhibited the (D(2d))-twist(2) conformation. Substitution reactions of 1 for ethane-1,2-diamine (en), pentane-2,4-dionate (acac), and N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate (dtc) gave the mixed-ligand tris(chelate)-type complexes of [Co(en)(2)(pdmp)]Cl(2)(PF(6)) (5), [Co(acac)(pdmp)(2)](PF(6))(2) (7), and [Co(dtc)(3-n)(pdmp)(n)](PF(6))(n) [n = 1 (9) or 2 (10)], respectively. The conformer of the complex cation in 5 was assigned as lel.ob.chair by X-ray analysis. In the case of the acac complex 7, both trans(P,N) (7a) and trans(N,N) (7b) isomers were isolated, and the complex cations were characterized as syn-chair(2) and anti-chair(2) conformers, respectively, with respect to the six-membered pdmp chelate rings. These conformers coincide with the most stable ones anticipated by the DFT optimum geometry calculations. In the crystal structure of trans(P,N)-[Co(dtc)(pdmp)(2)](BPh(4))(2) (10') one of the pdmp chelate rings adopted a skew-boat (twist) conformation, which reduced the intramolecular steric ring-ring interaction effectively. The DFT optimized geometries for several isomers and/or conformers of [CoCl(2)(pdmp)(2)](+) were compared.  相似文献

We report a theoretical analysis of a series of heteroleptic iridium(III) complexes (dox)(2)Ir(acac) [dox = 2,5-diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazolato-N,C(2), acac = acetylacetonate] (1a), (fox)(2)Ir(acac) [fox = 2,5-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazolato-N,C(2)] (1b), (fox)(2)Ir(Et(2)dtc) [Et(2)dtc = N,N'-diethyldithiocarbamate] (2), (fox)(2)Ir(Et(2)dtp) [Et(2)dtp = O,O'-diethyldithiophosphate] (3), (pypz)(2)Ir(acac) [pypz = 3,5-di(2-pyridyl)pyrazole] (4a), (O-pypz)(2)Ir(acac) (4b), (S-pypz)(2)Ir(acac) (4c) and (bptz)(2)Ir(acac) [bptz = 3-tert-butyl-5-(2-pyridyl)triazole] (5) by using the density functional theory (DFT) method to investigate their electronic structures and photophysical properties and obtain further insights into the phosphorescent efficiency mechanism. Meanwhile, we also investigate the influence of ancillary and cyclometalated ligands on the properties of the above complexes. The results reveal that the nature of the ancillary ligands can influence the electron density distributions of frontier molecular orbitals and their energies, resulting in change in transition character and emission color, while the different cyclometalated ligands have a large impact on the charge transfer performances of the studied complexes. The calculated absorption and luminescence properties of the four complexes 1a, 1b, 2 and 3 are compared with the available experimental data and a good agreement is obtained. Further, the assumed complexes 4a and 4b possess better charge transfer abilities and more balanced charge transfer rates, and they are potential candidates as blue-emitting materials.  相似文献

In this work, a neutral iridium(III) complex [Ir(bt)(2)(acac)] (Hbt = 2-phenylbenzothiazole; Hacac = acetylacetone) has been realized as a Hg(II)-selective sensor through UV-vis absorption, phosphorescence emission, and electrochemical measurements and was further developed as a phosphorescent agent for monitoring intracellular Hg(II). Upon addition of Hg(II) to a solution of [Ir(bt)(2)(acac)], a noticeable spectral blue shift in both absorption and phosphorescent emission bands was measured. (1)H NMR spectroscopic titration experiments indicated that coordination of Hg(II) to the complex induces fast decomposition of [Ir(bt)(2)(acac)] to form a new complex, which is responsible for the significant variations in optical and electrochemical signals. Importantly, cell imaging experiments have shown that [Ir(bt)(2)(acac)] is membrane permeable and can be used to monitor the changes in Hg(II) levels within cells in a ratiometric phosphorescence mode.  相似文献

A series of [−2, −1, 0] charged-ligand based iridium(III) complexes of [Ir(bph)(bpy)(acac)] ( 1 ), [Ir(bph)(2MeO-bpy)(acac)] ( 2 ), [Ir(bph)(2CF3-bpy)(acac)] ( 3 ), [Ir(bph)(bpy)(2tBu-acac)] ( 4 ) and [Ir(bph)(bpy)(CF3-acac)] ( 5 ), which using biphenyl as dianionic ligand [−2], acetylacetone (or its derivatives) as monoanionic ligand [−1], and 2,2′-bipyridine (or its derivatives) as neutral ligand [0] were designed and synthesized. The chemical structures were well characterized. All of the ligands have simple chemical structures, thus further making the complexes have excellent thermal stability and are easy to sublimate and purify. Phosphorescent characteristics with short emission lifetime were demonstrated for these emitters. Notably, all of the complexes exhibit remarkable deep red/near infrared emission, which is quite different from the reported [−1, −1, −1] charged-ligand based iridium(III) complexes. The photophysical properties of these complexes are regularly improved by introducing electron-donating or -withdrawing groups into [−1] or [0] charged-ligand. The related organic light-emitting diodes exhibited deep red/near infrared emission with acceptable external quantum efficiency and low turn-on voltage (<2.6 V). This work provides a new idea for the construction of new type phosphorescent iridium(III) emitters with different valence states of [−2, −1, 0] charged ligands, thus offering new opportunities and challenges for their optoelectronic applications.  相似文献

The synthesis of novel, monocationic iridium(III) photosensitisers (Ir-PSs) with the general formula [Ir(III)(C^N)(2)(N^N)](+) (C^N: cyclometallating phenylpyridine ligand, N^N: neutral bidentate ligand) is described. The structures obtained were examined by cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy and X-ray analysis. All iridium complexes were tested for their ability as photosensitisers to promote homogeneously catalysed hydrogen generation from water. In the presence of [HNEt(3)][HFe(3)(CO)(11)] as a water-reduction catalyst (WRC) and triethylamine as a sacrificial reductant (SR), seven of the new iridium complexes showed activity. [Ir(6-iPr-bpy)(ppy)(2)]PF(6) (bpy: 2,2'-bipyridine, ppy: 2-phenylpyridine) turned out to be the most efficient photosensitiser. This complex was also tested in combination with other WRCs based on rhodium, platinum, cobalt and manganese. In all cases, significant hydrogen evolution took place. Maximum turnover numbers of 4550 for this Ir-PS and 2770 for the Fe WRC generated in situ from [HNEt(3)][HFe(3)(CO)(11)] and tris[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]phosphine was obtained. These are the highest overall efficiencies for any Ir/Fe water-reduction system reported to date. The incident photon to hydrogen yield reaches 16.4% with the best system.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of two cationic iridium(III) complexes with dendritic carbazole ligands as ancillary ligands, namely, [Ir(ppy)(2)L3]PF(6) (1) and [Ir(ppy)(2)L4]PF(6) (2), where L3 and L4 represent 3,8-bis(3,6-di-tert-butyl-9H-carbazol-9-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline and 3,8-bis(3',6'-di-tert-butyl-6-(3,6-di-tert-butyl-9H-carbazol-9-yl)-3,9'-bi(9H-carbazol)-9-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline, respectively. Their photophysical properties have been investigated and compared. The results have shown that complex 2 is aggregation-induced phosphorescent emission (AIPE) active and exhibits the highest photoluminescent quantum yield (PLQY) of 16.2% in neat film among the reported cationic Ir(III) complexes with AIPE activity. In addition, it also enjoys redox reversibility, good film-forming ability, excellent thermal stability as well as off/on luminescence switching properties, revealing its potential application as a candidate for light-emitting electrochemical cells and organic vapor sensing. To explore applications in biology, 2 was used to image cells.  相似文献

Biscyclometalated iridium(III) complexes with an ancillary acetylacetone ligand, Ir(L)(2)(acac), (L = 2-(benzo[b]thiophen-2-yl)pyridine (btp), 1-phenylisoquinoline (piq), 2-phenylbenzothiazole (bt), 2-phenylpyridine (ppy), acac = deprotonated acetylacetone), demonstrate spectroscopic changes in their UV-Vis absorption and luminescent emission under acidic conditions. Such changes were found to be the same as those observed when certain mercury salts exist in the systems. Because some iridium(III) complexes have sulfur-containing ligands (i.e., btp and bt), a question was then raised as for whether or not the spectroscopic changes are associated with the specific affinity of Hg(2+) to the sulfur atom. Extensive studies performed in this work unambiguously proved that the observed spectroscopic changes were solely the results of the acid induced departure of acac and the follow-up coordination of solvent acetonitrile to the iridium(III) center and that the generally anticipated Hg(2+)-S affinity and its effect on the photophysical properties of iridium(III) luminophores did not play a role.  相似文献

Two new iridium(III) complexes containing benzothiazol-2-yl carbazole derivative as a cyclometalated ligand (L) and picolinate (pic) or acetylacetonate (acac) as the ancillary ligand, Ir(III) bis(3-(benzothiazol-2-yl)-9-butyl-carbazole)(picolinate) [Ir(L)2(pic)] and Ir(III) bis(3-(benzothiazol-2-yl)-9-butyl-carbazole)(acetylacetonate) [Ir(L)2(acac)], were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, FT-IR, and UV–Vis absorption spectra. Both the iridium(III) complexes emit intense green–yellow emissions, indicating that they are useful for the fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

Several iridium complexes {iridium(III)bis[2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-benzothiozolato-N,C2′] acetylacetonate (MeO-BT)2Ir(acac), iridium(III)bis[2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-1,3-benzothiozolato-N,C2′] acetylacetonate (2F-BT)2Ir(acac), and iridium(III)bis[2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-6-fluoro-1,3-benzothiozolato-N,C2′] acetylacetonate (3F-BT)2Ir(acac)} having different substituents on 2-phenylbenzothiazole have been synthesized. The phosphorescent light emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) using these iridium complexes as dopant emitters were fabricated. The experimental results revealed that the emissive colors of PHOLEDs could be finely tuned by suitable modification of the substituents on the 2-phenylbenzothiazole ligands. Furthermore, these iridium complexes show better emissive properties than the known iridium(III)bis(2-phenylbenzothiozolato-N,C2′) acetylacetonate (BT)2Ir(acac).  相似文献

Squaring the circle: the novel dienamido pincer ligand N(CHCHPtBu(2))(2)(-) affords the isolation of the unusual square-planar iridium(II) and iridium(III) amido complexes [IrCl{N(CHCHPtBu(2))(2)}](n) (n=0 (1), +1 (2)). In contrast, the corresponding iridium(I) complex of the redox series (n=-1) is surprisingly unstable. The diamagnetism of 2 is attributed to strong N→Ir π donation.  相似文献

Reactions of the bis(hydrosulfido) complexes [Cp*Rh(SH)(2)(PMe(3))] (1a; Cp* = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5)) with [CpTiCl(3)] (Cp = eta(5)-C(5)H(5)) and [TiCl(4)(thf)(2)] in the presence of triethylamine led to the formation of the sulfido-bridged titanium-rhodium complexes [Cp*Rh(PMe(3))(micro(2)-S)(2)TiClCp] (2a) and [Cp*Rh(PMe(3))(micro2-S)(2)TiCl(2)] (3a), respectively. Complex 3a and its iridium analogue 3b were further converted into the bis(acetylacetonato) complexes [Cp*M(PMe(3))(micro(2)-S)(2)Ti(acac)(2)] (4a, M = Rh; 4b, M = Ir) upon treatment with acetylacetone. The hydrosulfido complexes 1a and [Cp*Ir(SH)(2)(PMe(3))] (1b) also reacted with [VCl(3)(thf)(3)] and [Mo(CO)(4)(nbd)] (nbd = 2,5-norbornadiene) to afford the cationic sulfido-bridged VM2 complexes [(Cp*M(PMe(3))(micro2-S)(2))2V](+) (5a(+), M = Rh; 5b(+), M = Ir) and the hydrosulfido-bridged MoM complexes [Cp*M(PMe(3))(micro2-SH)(2)Mo(CO)(4)] (6a, M = Rh; 6b, M = Ir), respectively.  相似文献

The open-shell density functional theory calculations with M06 exchange-correlation functional and all-electron Douglas-Kroll second order scalar relativistic correction were performed to interpret the vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra of four kinds of tris(acetylacetonato)metal(III), [M(III)(acac)(3)] (acac = acetylacetonato, M = Ru, Cr, Co, and Rh). It was deduced that the experimental spectra were well reproduced by the calculation with harmonic approximation in case of [Co(III)(acac)(3)] (d(6); S = 0), [Rh(III)(acac)(3)] (d(6); S = 0), and [Ru(III)(acac)(3)] (d(5); S = 1/2). In case of [Cr(III)(acac)(3)] (d(3); S = 3/2), anharmonic effects should be taken into account to predict the accurate vibrational frequencies of closely located modes. Time-dependent density functional theory calculations were performed to estimate the contribution of excited states in the VCD spectra. As a consequence, the presence of the low-lying excited states was predicted for [Ru(III)(acac)(3)] alone, which agreed with the experimental observation.  相似文献

Reactions of the iridium(III) nitrosyl complex [Ir(NO)Cl2(PPh3)2] (1) with hydrosulfide and arenethiolate anions afforded the square-pyramidal iridium(III) complex [Ir(NO)(SH)2(PPh3)2] (2) with a bent nitrosyl ligand and a series of the square-planar iridium(I) complexes [Ir(NO)(SAr)2(PPh3)] (3a, Ar = C6H2Me3-2,4,6 (Mes); 3b, Ar = C6H3Me2-2,6 (Xy); 3c, Ar = C6H2Pri3-2,4,6) containing a linear nitrosyl ligand, respectively. Complex 1 also reacted with alkanethiolate anions or alkanethiols to give the thiolato-bridged diiridium complexes [Ir(NO)(mu-SPri)(SPri)(PPh3)]2 (4) and [Ir(NO)(mu-SBut)(PPh3)]2 (5). Complex 4 contains two square-pyramidal iridium(III) centers with a bent nitrosyl ligand, whereas 5 contains two tetrahedral iridium(0) centers with a linear nitrosyl ligand and has an Ir-Ir bond. Upon treatment with benzoyl chloride, 3a and 3b were converted into the (diaryl disulfide)- and thiolato-bridged dichlorodiiridium(III) complexes [[IrCl(mu-SC6HnMe4-nCH2)(PPh3)]2(mu-ArSSAr)] (6a, Ar = Mes, n = 2; 6b, Ar = Xy, n = 3) accompanied by a loss of the nitrosyl ligands and cleavage of a C-H bond in an ortho methyl group of the thiolato ligands. Similar treatment of 4 gave the dichlorodiiridium complex [Ir(NO)(PPh3)(mu-SPri)3IrCl2(PPh3)] (7), which has an octahedral dichloroiridium(III) center and a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal Ir(I) atom with a linear nitrosyl ligand. The detailed structures of 3a, 4, 5, 6a, and 7 have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The trivalent ruthenium, rhodium and iridium complexes of dipicolinic acid and its mixed ligand complexes with several nitrogen, oxygen donor molecules, of types: Na[M(dipic)2]·2H2O and [M(dipic)(N-O)]·nH2O (where M = Ru(III), Rh(III) or Ir(III); dipicH2 = dipicolinic acid; NOH represents different nitrogen, oxygen donor molecules, viz., picolinic acid, nicotinic acid, isonicotinic acid, glycine, aminophenol, o- or p-aminobenzoic acid), have been synthesized and characterised on the basis of elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and spectral (electronic and infrared) data. The parent dipicolinic acid complexes are found to have a six-coordinate pseudooctahedral structure, whereas for mixed ligand complexes, a polymeric six-coordinate structure has been assigned. Various ligand field and nephelauxetic parameters have also been evaluated.  相似文献

Newly prepared hydrido iridium(III) complexes [Ir(ppy)(PPh3)2(H)L](0,+) (ppy = bidentate 2-phenylpyridinato anionic ligand; L = MeCN (1b), CO (1c), CN(-) (1d); H being trans to the nitrogen of ppy ligand) emit blue light at the emission lambda(max) (452-457, 483-487 nm) significantly shorter than those (468, 495 nm) of the chloro complex Ir(ppy)(PPh3)2(H)(Cl) (1a). Replacing ppy of 1a-d with F2ppy (2,4-difluoro-2-phenylpyridinato anion) and F2Meppy (2,4-difluoro-2-phenyl-m-methylpyridinato anion) brings further blue-shifts down to the emission lambda(max) at 439-441 and 465-467 nm with CIE color coordinates being x = 0.16 and y = 0.18-0.20 to display a deep-blue photoemission. No significant blue shift is observed by replacing PPh3 of 1a with PPh2Me to produce Ir(ppy)(PPh2Me)2(H)(Cl) (1aPPh 2Me), which displays emission lambda max at 467 and 494 nm. The chloro complexes, [Ir(ppy)(PPh3)2(Cl)(L)](0,+) (L = MeCN (2b), CO (2c), CN(-) (2d)) having a chlorine ligand trans to the nitrogen of ppy also emit deep-blue light at emission lambda(max) 452-457 and 482-487 nm.  相似文献
