A significant (∼1.8%) positive unit between the parameters of the crystal lattice is the reason of tetragonal distortion (a /a ≈ 1.04) and reduction in the volume of the unit cell of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 films (15 nm) quasicoherently grown on the (001) surface of a LaAlO3 substrate. The films consist of single-crystal blocks with the lateral size of 30–50 nm. The atomically smooth LaAlO3-La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 interphase boundary has no misfit dislocations. At T = 4.2 K, the transformation of nonferromagnetic phase inclusions into ferromagnetic ones in a constant magnetic field H is accompanied by a stable reduction in the electrical resistivity ρ of manganite films with time, so that the curve ρ(t) is well approximated by the relationship ρ(t) ∼ ρ1(tt 0)1/2, (where t 0 is the time for establishment of the specified value (μ0 H = 5 T) of the magnetic field and ρ1 is a coefficient independent of H). The magnetocrystalline anisotropy due to the elastic deformation of films by the substrate and stratification of electronic phases are the reasons of the distinct hysteresis in the dependences ρ(μ0 H, T < 100 K) obtained on μ0 H scanning in the sequence 5 T → 0 → −5 T → 0 → 5 T. At T = 50 K and μ0 H = 0.4 T, the magnetoresistance MR = 100% [ρ(μ0 H) − ρ(μ0 H = 0)]/ρ(μ0 H = 0) of LCMO films attains 150%.  相似文献

A theory of μSR method is developed for uniaxial anisotropic high-T c superconductors. In two extreme cases ofH ext‖c andH ext⊥c analytical formulas are obtained which makes it possible to determine from the position of van Hove singularities in the Fourier-spectrum of muonium polarization, the type and parameters of the vortex lattice, such as λ ab c ). In caseH extH c2 we obtained the shape of the Fourier-spectrum in analytical form and the simple method of determining the Ginsburg-Landau parameter κ. Convenient expressions for numerical calculations are obtained for the arbitrary orientation of the external field, and an algorithm is provided to compute the mean fieldB, the vortex lattice parameters and the bulk field distribution in anisotropic superconductor. The Fourier spectrum of polarization based on these calculations can be used to independently check the validity of the high-T c parameters determination for “appropriate” orientations.  相似文献

The mixed state of thin narrow superconducting films with an edge barrier placed in a transverse magnetic field is considered. The boundaries of the region for the existence of metastable mixed states with an assigned number of vortices N [H min(N)⩽HH max(N)] are found. The SrRuO3 films (50 nm thick) grown by laser evaporation on (001)(LaAlO3)0.3 + (Sr2AlTaO6)0.7 substrates were under partially relaxed biaxial compressive mechanical stresses. The films consisted of crystallites with lateral dimensions of 40–100 nm and a relative azimuthal misorientation of about 0.9°. Ferromagnetic ordering of spins in the SrRuO3 films was manifested by a change in the slope of the temperature dependence of their electrical resistivity ρ at T ≈ 155 K. For a magnetic field H parallel to the measuring current, the maximum values (∼7.5%) of the magnetoresistance MR = [ρ(μ0 H = 5 T) − ρ(μ0 H = 0)]/ρ(μ0 H = 0) were observed at temperatures of about 100 K. At T = 95 K (μ0 H = 5 T), the anisotropic magnetoresistance of the films was 8% and increased by a factor of approximately 1.5 with decreasing temperature to 4.2 K.  相似文献

The lower critical field H c1 cyl (T) of a superconducting cylinder with radius r 0ξ(T)≪λ(T) is found on the basis of the Ginzburg-Landau theory with various boundary conditions. These results together with the well-known results for the upper critical field are used to construct phase diagrams in terms of the field versus the reduced radius r 0ξ(T) variables. Zero-field μSR studies of some hexagonal intermetallic compounds are described. Our LaNI5 data provide information on the muon localisation site. This site could be one of the deuterium sites deduced from neutron diffraction. A comparison of the temperature dependence of the exponential damping rate, λ(T), of our samples shows that λ(T) is strongly influenced by crystal field effects. The TbNi5 spectra exhibit two components forT<60 K. We discuss the possible explanations of this result. We see a μSR signal below the magnetic phase transition in GdNi5. This makes the study of the spin-lattice relaxation rate possible in the ordered magnetic state.  相似文献

We study spectral properties of the discrete Laplacian H on the half-space with random boundary condition ; the V(n) are independent random variables on a probability space and λ is the coupling constant. It is known that if the V(n) have densities, then on the interval [-2(d+1), 2(d+1)] (=σ(H 0), the spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplacian) the spectrum of H is P-a.s. absolutely continuous for all λ [JL1]. Here we show that if the random potential P satisfies the assumption of Aizenman–Molchanov [AM], then there are constants λ d and Λ d such that for |λ|<lambda; d and |λ|> Λ d the spectrum of H outside σ(H 0) is P-a.s. pure point with exponentially decaying eigenfunctions. The influence of antiferromagnetic order on the mixed state of a superconductor may result in creation of spin-flop domains along vortices. This may happen when an external magnetic field is strong enough to flip over magnetic moments in the vortex core from their ground state configuration. The formation of domain structure causes modification of the surface energy barrier, and creation of the new state in which magnetic flux density is independent of the applied field. The modified surface energy barrier has been calculated for parameters of the antiferromagnetic superconductor DyMo6S8. The prediction of two-step flux penetration process has been verified by precise magnetization measurements performed on the single crystal of DyMo6S8 at milikelvin temperatures. A characteristic plateau on the virgin curve B(H 0) has been found and attributed to the modified surface energy barrier. The end of the plateau determines the critical field, which we call the second critical field for flux penetration. The question of a surface barrier which determines the behavior of a vortex in a hollow superconducting cylinder of finite thickness in an external magnetic field is discussed, taking into account magnetic flux quantization in the cavity. The behavior of magnetic vortices in a hollow superconductor in the presence of a thermoelectric current is also considered. Pairs of magnetic vortices with opposite magnetic field orientations (vortex-antivortex pairs) are generated by this current near T c. The thermoelectric current drives the antivortex (the vortex with oppositely directed field) out of the cylinder, whereas the vortex is ejected into the cavity and remains on the inside cylinder surface as a current. The number of magnetic flux quanta trapped inside the cylinder increases by one. The relation of this mechanism to the “giant” thermoelectric effect in hollow superconductors is discussed. Zh. éksp. Evidence that pinning on linear or planar defects dominates the vortex dynamics in YBa2Cu3O7−x (YBCO) films is provided by complex impedance measurements at temperature 8 K<T<T c and magnetic field 0<B<6 T. Below the vortex lattice melting transition Bg(T) but above a threshold field Bp≈8(1-T/T c ) T, the inductance of vortices increases as B2, much less rapidly than predicted for collective pinning of vortices by point defects. Above the vortex melting line, critical scaling persists over the region Bg(T<B<B*(T) where the vortex correlation length ξ exceeds a characteristic length scale ξ*≡ξ(B=B*)≈450?. The value of ξ* is not sensitive to Al-doping in the Cu sites in the lattice and is close to the size of twin domains in the film. The nature of the observed crossovers is discussed in terms of available theoretical models for a glass-liquid transition at Bg.  相似文献

Results are presented of an investigation of the magnetic properties of dilute frustrated ferrimagnetic spinels Li0.5Fe2.5−x GaxO4 (x=0.8–1.2), which characterize the main parameters of the ferrimagnetic state and provide evidence of local violation of collinear spin ordering and frustrations. In particular, measurements were made of the concentration dependences of the magnetic moment n 0(x) and the Curie point T c (x), the magnetization isotherms σ T (H) at T=4.2 K and H⩽10 kOe, and also the low-and high-field magnetization polytherms σ H (T). It was established that for x⩾0.8 in fields exceeding the technical saturation field H s ∼2 kOe, the temperature dependences of the high-field magnetization σ H (T) between 4.2 and 230 K cannot be described by the Bloch T 3/2 law whereas this law is satisfied for undiluted Li spinel (x=0). Over the entire temperature range (4.2–230 K) the experimental curves σ H (T) may be approximated by σ H (T)=σ 0(1−AT 3/2BT 5/2) for x=0.8–1.0 and σ H (T)=σ 0[1−CT 3/2exp(μ(H−H 0)/k B T)] for x=1.1, 1.2, where μH 0∼15 K is the internal field produced by competition between exchange interactions and frustrations. The behavior of isotherms of the magnetization σ(H) and the longitudinal λ and transverse λ magnetostriction of the polycrystalline ferrite CoFeCrO4 with frustrated magnetic structure has been investigated for the first time in magnetic fields up to H=50 kOe at T=4.2 K. This paper reports on a study of the resistance and differential magnetic susceptibility χ ac of lead embedded in nanosized glass pores with a diameter of ∼7 mm, which was performed at temperatures of 6–300 K and magnetic fields of up to 6 T. The field dependence of the resistance R(H) and the temperature dependences of the real, χ″(T), and imaginary, χ″(T), parts of magnetic susceptibility reveal indications of superconducting phase transitions associated with the volume and surface superconductivity of Pb nanopar ticles. The measurements of the field dependence of resistance have been used to set up the H c -T c phase diagram and to carry out a comparison with the study of the heat capacity performed on the same samples.  相似文献

The magnetic field dependence of the average spin of a localized electron coupled to conduction electrons with an antiferromangetic exchange interaction is found for the ground state. In the magnetic field range μH∼0.5T c (T c is the Kondo temperature) there is an inflection point, and in the strong magnetic field range μHT c , the correction to the average spin is proportional to (T c /μ H)2. The behavior of planar (laminar) vortices in a three-dimensional, ordered Josephson medium as a function of the parameter I, which is proportional to the critical junction current and the cell size, is investigated with allowance for pinning due to the cellular structure of the medium. The minimum possible distances between two isolated vortices are calculated. A system of vortices formed in a sample in a monotonically increasing external magnetic field is analyzed. The minimum distance from the outermost vortex to the nearest neighbor is proportional to I −1.1. For I⩽1.3 each vortex contains a single flux quantum Φ0, and the distance between them does not decrease in closer proximity to the boundary but remains approximately constant, implying that the magnetic field does not depend on the coordinate in the region penetrated by vortices. These facts contradict the generally accepted Bean model. The sample magnetization curve has a form typical of type II superconductors. The current-voltage characteristics of granular YBa2Cu3O6.95 high-temperature superconductor samples have been measured at a temperature of 77.3 K in external transverse magnetic fields H ext with a strength of up to H ext ≈ 500 Oe for low transport current densities (0.1 A/cm2j ≤ 0.6 A/cm2). The current-voltage characteristics obtained have been used to construct dependences of the magnetoresistance ρ on the quantities j (ρ(j) Hext=const) and H ext(ρ(H ext) j = const). It has been revealed that the current and field dependences of the magnetoresistance exhibit anomalies at H extH c1g , where H c1g is the lower critical field of superconducting grains. A comparative analysis of the dependences ρ(j)H ext = const and ρ(H ext) j = const has made it possible to develop concepts regarding the influence of the processes of redistribution of the magnetic field between grain boundaries and superconducting grains on the transport and galvanomagnetic properties of granular high-temperature superconductors. It has been established that the field dependences of the magnetoresistance exhibit specific features associated with the beginning of penetration of Josephson vortices into grain boundaries in the magnetic field H c1J and with the breaking of a continuous chain of Josephson junctions in the magnetic field H c2J .  相似文献

We have derived the so-called gap equation, which determines the upper critical magnetic field, perpendicular to conducting chains of a quasi-one-dimensional superconductor. By analyzing this equation at low temperatures, we have found that the calculated angular dependence of the upper critical magnetic field is qualitatively different than that in the so-called effective mass model. In particular, our theory predicts a non-analytical angular dependence of the upper critical magnetic field, H c2(0) − H c2(α) ∼ α3/2, when magnetic field is close to some special crystallographic axis and makes an angle α with it. We discuss possible experiments on the superconductor (DMET)2I3 to discover this non-analytical dependence.  相似文献

A diffusion model of a solid-phase chain reaction of explosive decomposition of heavy metal azides was developed. The dimensional effects of initiation of the reaction were examined: the dependence of the critical fluence of initiation on the microcrystal size H(R) and on the irradiated zone diameter H(d). It was demonstrated that the diffusion model of the chain reaction closely describes the measured H(R) dependence at diffusion coefficients of D ∼ 0.2–0.3 cm2/s, values that correspond to experimentally measured mobility of electronic charge carriers of μ ∼ 10 cm2/(V s). To account for the measured H(d) dependence and the reaction front propagation velocity (V = 1.2 km/s), it is necessary that the diffusion coefficient be three orders of magnitude higher than the experimentally determined value. That the H(R) and H(d) dependences cannot be quantitatively described simultaneously is indicative of the underlying mechanisms of energy transfer being different.  相似文献

The behavior of a straight Abrikosov vortex in an anisotropic uniaxial London superconductor is studied. Analytical expressions are derived that approximately describe the magnetic field in three regions: the asymptotic region, where the distance r from the vortex line is greater than λΓ (λ is the London length and Γ is the anisotropy constant), the intermediate region λ<r<λΓ, and the region r<λ. It is found that in the intermediate region with high anisotropy the component of the magnetic field along the vortex line changes sign for a certain interval of angles between the vortex line and the anisotropy axis. Because of this the interaction of parallel vortices whose plane is parallel to the anisotropy axis has a minimum and a maximum. This means that numerous metastable vortex lattices can exist. Additional terms in the vortex self-energy are obtained, and although they are smaller than the leading logarithmic term, they display a different dependence on the angle between the vortex line and the anisotropy axis.
