A model is presented for the intense pure-tone noise generated by American subway cars and German trams when traversing tight curves. Squeal is presumed to arise from lateral crabbing of the wheels across the rail head, which results from the finite length of the truck (or bogie). This lateral sticking and slipping causes vibrations in the wheel to increase until a stable amplitude is reached. The stick-slip mechanism is described by a negative damping coefficient that varies with vibration amplitude. The model is used to predict the intensity of wheel squeal as a function of train speed, curve radius, and truck length. Damped and resilient wheels were tested and found effective at reducing wheel squeal.  相似文献

为探究一种复式降噪块装置及其组合形式对某S型辐板地铁车轮的减振降噪效果和机理,在半消声室内,分别对1种自由状态下的标准车轮和3种形式的复式降噪块车轮开展振动声辐射特性及阻尼特性试验,并通过有限元建模对其进行了模态计算。结果表明:复式降噪块装置可在全频段内提高车轮阻尼比,并对车轮各部位有良好的减振效果,以轮辋和踏面的减振效果最为显著;其中,6个制振阻尼片形式的降噪块对车轮的降噪效果最显著,径向激励下的降噪量为13.1dB(A),轴向激励下的降噪量为11.1dB(A),降噪频段主要集中在1000Hz以上中高频。该文研究结果是对列车降噪研究领域的补充和发展。  相似文献

Accurate disturbance models are necessary to predict the effects of vibrations on the performance of precision space-based telescopes, such as the Space Interferometry Mission (SIM). There are many possible disturbance sources on such spacecraft, but mechanical jitter from the reaction wheel assembly (RWA) is anticipated to be the largest. A method has been developed and implemented in the form of a MATLAB toolbox to extract parameters for an empirical disturbance model from RWA micro-vibration data. The disturbance model is based on one that was used to predict the vibration behaviour of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) wheels and assumes that RWA disturbances consist of discrete harmonics of the wheel speed with amplitudes proportional to the wheel speed squared. The MATLAB toolbox allows the extension of this empirical disturbance model for application to any reaction wheel given steady state vibration data. The toolbox functions are useful for analyzing RWA vibration data, and the model provides a good estimate of the disturbances over most wheel speeds. However, it is shown that the disturbances are under-predicted by a model of this form over some wheel speed ranges. The poor correlation is due to the fact that the empirical model does not account for disturbance amplifications caused by interactions between the harmonics and the structural modes of the wheel. Experimental data from an ITHACO Space Systems E-type reaction wheel are used to illustrate the model development and validation process.  相似文献

为了研究辐板不同阻尼贴片装置对高速列车车轮的减振降噪效果,在半消声室内进行标准车轮与阻尼贴片式车轮自由状态下的振动声辐射试验研究,并基于有限元法对车轮模态进行了仿真计算。研究结果表明:施加辐板阻尼贴片后,两种阻尼贴片车轮的固有频率与标准车轮相比变化不大,但对于频率在1600Hz以上各阶模态阻尼比显著增加。径向与轴向激励下的降噪效果均达到10dB(A)以上,可见两种阻尼贴片装置均具有良好的降噪效果。其中在多了0.3mm铝合金薄板的情况下,W2车轮的降噪效果要略优于W1车轮,轴向激励下更加明显。  相似文献

Reaction wheel assemblies (RWAs) are momentum exchange devices used in fine pointing control of spacecrafts. Even though the spinning rotor of the reaction wheel is precisely balanced to minimize emitted vibration due to static and dynamic imbalances, precision instrument payloads placed in the neighborhood can always be severely impacted by residual vibration forces emitted by reaction wheel assemblies. The reduction of the vibration level at sensitive payloads can be achieved by placing the RWA on appropriate mountings. A low frequency flexible space platform consisting of folded continuous beams has been designed to serve as a mount for isolating a disturbance source in precision payloads equipped spacecrafts.Analytical and experimental investigations have been carried out to test the usefulness of the low frequency flexible platform as a vibration isolator for RWAs. Measurements and tests have been conducted at varying wheel speeds, to quantify and characterize the amount of isolation obtained from the reaction wheel generated vibration. These tests are further extended to other variants of similar design in order to bring out the best isolation for given disturbance loads. Both time and frequency domain analysis of test data show that the flexible beam platform as a mount for reaction wheels is quite effective and can be used in spacecrafts for passive vibration control.  相似文献

Recent analyses show that the wheel noise emission depends on the lateral position of the contact patch area on the wheel tyre. This displacement from the nominal position is such that different wheel modes are excited, resulting in a different frequency and amplitude composition of the wheel related noise component. In this paper the results of a test programme held on the ETR500 Italian high-speed train are shown. Thanks to a special device mounted under the axle box comprising a microphone and a windshield, it has been possible to measure the wheel noise continuously up to 300 km/h in tangent track and in curves. The behaviour of wheels in different condition of line curvature is shown, together with the results from a new type of constrained layer damped wheel.  相似文献

A simple method for diagnosis of railway wheel defects using fuzzy-logic is proposed. The method is based on vibration measurements at different train speeds on healthy wheels and wheels with defects known a priori. The measured vibrations are statistically analyzed and confidence intervals for healthy and defective wheels depending on train speed and frequency of analysis are established. To facilitate the implementation of the method a fuzzy-logic is adopted. The fuzzy-logic model stores the obtained experience in a database and performs the decision making on damage extent and consequently the need of preventive maintenance. In view of the obtained results, the advantages and the limitations of the proposed approach as well as suggestions for further improvements are presented and discussed.  相似文献

Compressor and turbine bladed wheels interact with the fluid distributed by the stator vanes. They are subject to vibration and fatigue loading, especially when resonance conditions are excited. Avoiding resonance is fundamental when designing bladed wheels. The Campbell diagram approach is too conservative since bladed wheels show many close frequency natural modes, thus it is almost impossible to avoid frequency matching. Singh?s Advanced Frequency Evaluation (SAFE) diagram, or interference diagram, also introduces shape matching in addition to the frequency, for resonance prediction, therefore many frequency matching cases can be identified as non-critical and thus tolerated. The present paper explains and demonstrates the SAFE diagram by introducing an analytical expression to identify bladed wheel resonance conditions. The mode shape matching with a harmonic component is investigated by means of specific examples. Symmetry properties of the matching distribution of harmonic indices and mode shapes are also introduced and demonstrated. Finally, a bladed wheel analysis is used for validation, both in FE simulations and experiments.  相似文献

Acoustical measurements were carried out on railroad coaches, on standard tracks and in the free field during test runs. In particular the influences of noise parameters like train speed, track condition, wheel type or locomotive propulsion were examined. Among other things, it appeared that the track conditions can vary considerably, a fact that has a great influence on all measurement values. One obtains a kind of “track profile” relatively independent of the train speed. Measurements both on the parts of the rail and in the free field during the pass-by of a train wheel, just as do the measurements of the wheel levels at the same time, indicate that the rail in the frequency range between 500 and 1200 Hz is the most important factor with regard to sound radiation. Only above this range is the wheel the essential radiator, mainly in the range around 2000 Hz. Further it could be ascertained that the total acceleration levels of the wheel rim have a greater speed exponent than the total acceleration levels of the rail. This can be important if one makes an extrapolation for high train speeds. Additional damping of coach wheels results in a greater noise reduction not only for the radiated sound but also for the structure-borne sound at the rails. This fact indicates the relatively strong coupling between rail and wheel. Furthermore it was ascertained that the levels generated by a locomotive in the upper frequency range are similar to those produced by damped coach wheels. A propulsion influence of an electrical locomotive on the radiated total sound level could not be ascertained. In the last section possible noise generating mechanisms are pointed out with regard to their importance as indicated by our present state of knowledge.  相似文献

空中声源的辐射噪声谱包括宽带连续谱和窄带线谱,线谱能量高于连续谱。与水下声源相比,空中声源的运动速度普遍较高,线谱多普勒频移明显,可用于进行水下对空中声源的运动参数估计。首先通过时频分析提取接收信号的瞬时频率,而后利用非线性最小二乘法将瞬时频率提取值与预测值相拟合,进而估计声源的运动参数(声源的运动速度、静止频率、与接收器最小水平距离及经过最近点时刻)。仿真与实验均能较为准确地估计出声源运动参数,同时在实验中实现了水下对空中运动声源的测距和定位,测距误差小于15.8%。在满足一定信噪比和保证足够多普勒信息的情况下,该参数估计方法具有很好的适用性。  相似文献

Within the fourth RTD Framework Programme, the European Union has supported a research project dealing with the improvement of railway noise (emission) measurement methodologies. This project was called MetaRail and proposed a number of procedures and methods to decrease systematic measurement errors and to increase reproducibility. In 1999 the Austrian Federal Railways installed 1000 m of test track to explore the long-term behaviour of three different ballast track systems. This test included track stability, rail forces and ballast forces, as well as vibration transmission and noise emission. The noise study was carried out using the experience and methods developed within MetaRail. This includes rail roughness measurements as well as measurements of vertical railhead, sleeper and ballast vibration in parallel with the noise emission measurement with a single microphone at a distance of 7.5 m from the track. Using a test train with block- and disc-braked vehicles helped to control operational conditions and indicated the influence of different wheel roughness.It has been shown that the parallel recording of several vibration signals together with the noise signal makes it possible to evaluate the contributions of car body, sleeper, track and wheel sources to the overall noise emission. It must be stressed that this method is not focused as is a microphone-array. However, this methodology is far easier to apply and thus cheaper. Within this study, noise emission was allocated to the different elements to answer questions such as whether the sleeper eigenfrequency is transmitted into the rail.  相似文献

Measurements of band vibration undertaken here show that passage of the butt weld connecting the ends of continuous band over wheels excites vibration in the band/wheel system. A displacement impulse occurs each time the weld initially contacts and separates from the wheels. The excitation is periodic, and it can excite instability. The vibration and stability of the coupled band/wheel system under impulsive boundary displacements are analyzed in this paper. The theoretical and experimental findings show that resonance occurs in the system when the weld passage (impulse) period is an integer multiple of any system natural period.  相似文献

Vibration analysis of rail grinding using a twin-wheel grinder   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Grinding is the final process of machining a rail. Conventionally, the rail’s surfaces are ground by a single-wheel grinder. The vibrations caused by the grinding process can greatly influence the final surface roughness and dimensional accuracy of the rail. This research investigates performance achieved by using two grinding wheels simultaneously and symmetrically on two opposite surfaces of a rail. In practical terms, the feed force from the two grinding wheels cannot be aligned perfectly, and the imbalance and/or imperfect roundness of the grinding wheels will certainly result in vibrations during the grinding process. This study applies an impedance method to determine rail vibration and the grinding instability, such as chatter caused by feed force misalignment and grinding wheel imbalance. When compared to conventional single-wheel grinding, the results indicate twin-wheel grinding reduces rail vibration, leading to low incidence of grinding chatter and better grinding performance. However, feed force misalignment between the two grinding wheels can lead to increased chatter, and both resonance and chatter may occur at lower grinding speeds as feed force misalignment increases. Results also show that feed force misalignment has a greater effect on rail vibration and chatter than imbalance asynchronization between the two grinding wheels.  相似文献

Rolling noise is excited by surface roughness at the wheel/rail contact. The contact patch is known to attenuate the excitation at wavelengths that are short in comparison with its length. A distributed point-reacting spring (DPRS) model is used with measured roughness data to determine the contact filter effect, and this result is compared with analytical predictions. It is found that the analytical model gives an attenuation that is too large at short wavelengths but is usable for wavelengths down to somewhat smaller than the length of the contact patch. Additionally, variations in the detailed geometry of the profile can cause the contact point on the wheel and rail to oscillate laterally. This introduces an oscillating moment that can induce additional vibration and noise. The DPRS model and rolling noise prediction model are both extended and used together to allow an estimate of the contribution to the radiated noise. It is found that, while the direct roughness excitation is still more important, the moment excitation can be significant, particularly for conforming profiles.  相似文献

An analytical model has been developed that simulates the generation and propagation of wheel/rail noise. In the model, wheel/rail vibrations are induced by running surface roughness. The vibration responses are determined from considering contact stiffness effects and wheel/rail impedance interactions. Near field sound power levels are then calculated by combining the responses with radiation efficiencies, space-averaging the velocity squared on the wheel, and accounting for the decay of vibration along the rail. Finally, the noise levels predicted for the wayside are obtained from an analysis of the propagation that includes the effect of finite ground impedance. Good agreement exists between the analytical model and a series of validation measurements taken at DOT's Transportation Test Center in Pueblo, Colorado. A sensitivity analysis conducted for the parameters of a typical baseline system achieved significant changes in rolling noise only for reductions in wheel/rail contact stiffness, increases in wheel/rail contact area, and decreases in wheel/rail roughness through wheel truing and rail grinding.  相似文献

为探究地铁车辆阻尼环扩张状态对阻尼环车轮声振特性影响,在半消声室内进行阻尼环车轮自由状态下的声振特性实验研究,结合有限元仿真对实验结果进行分析。研究表明,环-轮组合振动固有频率与原车轮相比变化不大,但阻尼环使车轮的模态阻尼比显著增加,有效抑制了车轮各模态的振动幅值。改变阻尼环扩张状态,阻尼环降噪效果发生非线性变化,幅值在5.6 dB(A)之内。阻尼环扩张状态可通过调节非闭合阻尼环两端扩张装置来改变。阻尼环处于非最大扩张状态W_3时,可获得最佳降噪效果。  相似文献

依据声学测试标准,为了评价某型高铁车轮在安装不同形式橡胶块装置后的减振降噪效果,在半消声室内基于B&K振动噪声测试分析系统,对裸轮和橡胶块车轮开展振动声辐射室内测试实验,并基于有限元方法对车轮模态进行了仿真分析。测试结果可知:相比裸轮,WA、WB车轮模态阻尼比显著增加,车轮的减振效果明显,其中WA车轮的减振效果略优于WB车轮。径向激励下,WA车轮声功率级降低了8 dB(A),WB车轮声功率级降低了5.5 dB(A);轴向激励下,WA车轮声功率级降低了8.2 dB(A),WB车轮声功率级降低了6.2 dB(A)。分析可知橡胶块装置能有效抑制车轮的滚动噪声和曲线啸叫,对车轮的减振降噪有积极作用。  相似文献

A linear array of 14 microphones was used to measure radiated noise generated by a four-carriage electric train travelling at speeds between 160 and 250 km/h. Most of the results given in this paper pertain to apparent source locations of wheel/rail interaction noise, although preliminary data collected in a concurrent study of railway aerodynamic noise are briefly mentioned. An analysis of the measurements suggests that apparent sources of wheel/rail interaction noise are located (i) in the rail or substructure at low frequencies, (ii) on the wheel rim just below the axle at intermediate or peak frequencies, and (iii) on the lower part of the wheel and possibly in the rail at high frequencies.  相似文献

Preliminary results are presented of the axial vibration of a railway wheel on a vehicle travelling at speeds of up to 100 miles/h. Frequency analysis shows that the wheel response is resonant, at modes of vibration which have been identified from static tests. Further developments of measurement and analysis techniques will be necessary before a more complete picture of the importance of wheel vibration on wheel/rail noise radiation can be determined.  相似文献

在实车怠速工况下的噪声振动性能评价过程中,燃油系统是发动机诸多子系统当中一个重要的声源。针对这一子系统产生的车内脉动噪声偏大的问题,总结出了对燃油类液体的脉动噪声振动控制机理、原因及诊断方法。首先,采用在燃油轨内追加阻尼器的方案很好地抑制了谐频噪声;然后,从燃油泵这一主要激振源出发,提出了设定燃油泵单品噪声振动、声品质等目标值的策略,即从源头上控制关键产品的噪声性能。在此基础之上,与之相应的解决方案实施之后,怠速工况下的车内噪声提升到了较好的水平,而且,燃油系统噪声的主观评价结论也认为得到了明显改善。  相似文献
