We study the existence of dynamic compensation temperatures in the mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Ising ferrimagnetic system Hamiltonian with bilinear and crystal-field interactions in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field on a hexagonal lattice. We employ the Glauber transitions rates to construct the mean-field dynamic equations. We investigate the time dependence of an average sublattice magnetizations, the thermal behavior of the dynamic sublattice magnetizations and the total magnetization. From these studies, we find the phases in the system, and characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of transitions as well as obtain the dynamic phase transition (DPT) points and the dynamic compensation temperatures. We also present dynamic phase diagrams, including the compensation temperatures, in the five different planes. A comparison is made with the results of the available mixed spin Ising systems.  相似文献

The dynamic behavior of a mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Ising system with a crystal-field interaction in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field on a hexagonal lattice is studied by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The lattice is formed by alternate layers of spins σ=1σ=1 and S=2. The Hamiltonian model includes intersublattice, intrasublattice and crystal-field interactions. The set of mean-field dynamic equations is obtained by employing the Glauber transition rates. Firstly, we study time variations of the average sublattice magnetizations in order to find the phases in the system, and the thermal behavior of the average sublattice magnetizations in a period or the dynamic sublattice magnetizations to obtain the dynamic phase transition points as well as to characterize the nature (continuous and discontinuous) of transitions. Then, the behavior of the dynamic total magnetization as a function of the temperature is investigated to find the dynamic compensation points as well as determine the type of behavior. We also present the dynamic phase diagrams for both presence and absence of the dynamic compensation temperatures in the nine different planes. According to the values of Hamiltonian parameters, besides the paramagnetic (p), antiferromagnetic (af), ferrimagnetic (i) and non-magnetic (nm) fundamental phases, eight different mixed phases and the compensation temperature or L- and N-types behavior in the Néel classification nomenclature exist in the system.  相似文献

We present a study of the dynamic behavior of a two-sublattice spin-5/2 Ising model with bilinear and crystal-field interactions in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field on alternate layers of a hexagonal lattice by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The lattice is formed by alternate layers of spins σ=5/2 and S=5/2. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamic equations. First, we investigate the time variations of the average sublattice magnetizations to find the phases in the system and then the thermal behavior of the dynamic sublattice magnetizations to characterize the nature (first- or second-order) of the phase transitions and to obtain the dynamic phase transition (DPT) points. We also study the thermal behavior of the dynamic total magnetization to find the dynamic compensation temperature and to determine the type of the dynamic compensation behavior. We present the dynamic phase diagrams, including the dynamic compensation temperatures, in nine different planes. The phase diagrams contain seven different fundamental phases, thirteen different mixed phases, in which the binary and ternary combination of fundamental phases and the compensation temperature or the L-type behavior strongly depend on the interaction parameters.  相似文献

The stationary states of the kinetic mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Ising ferrimagnetic system with repulsive biquadratic coupling are examined within a mean-field approach under the presence of a time varying (sinusoidal) magnetic field. We employ Glauber-type stochastic dynamics to construct a set of coupled mean-field dynamic equations, and we solve these equations to find the phases in the system. We also investigate the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the dynamic phase transitions (DPTs) and obtain the DPT points. The phase diagrams are presented in the reduced magnetic field amplitude and reduced temperature plane, and a comparison is made with the results of other kinetic mixed spin systems. We also study the behavior of the dynamic magnetic hysteresis and investigate the effects of the frequency on hysteresis properties, and we find the results are in good agreement with some previous theoretical and experimental works.  相似文献

The transverse spin-2 Ising ferromagnetic model with a longitudinal crystal-field is studied within the mean-field theory based on Bogoliubov inequality for the Gibbs free energy. The ground-state phase diagram and the tricritical point are obtained in the transverse field Ω/z J-longitudinal crystal D/zJ field plane. We find that there are the first order-order phase transitions in a very smallrange of D/zJ besides the usual first order-disorder phase transitions and the second order-disorder phase transitions.  相似文献

The critical and compensation temperatures of the bilayer Bethe lattices with one of the layers having only spin-1/2 atoms and the other having only spin-1 atoms placed symmetrically are studied by using exact recursion relations in a pairwise approach. The Hamiltonian of the model consist of the bilinear intralayer coupling constants of the two layers J 1 and J 2 for the interactions of the atoms in layers with spin-1/2 and spin-1, respectively, and the bilinear interlayer coupling constant J 3 between the adjacent atoms with spin-1/2 and spin-1 of the layers. After obtaining the ground state phase diagram with J 1 > 0, the variations of the order-parameters and the free energy are investigated to obtain the phase diagram of the model by considering only the ferromagnetic ordering of the layers, i.e. J 1 > 0 and J 2 > 0, and ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic ordering of the adjacent spins of the layers, J 3 > 0 or J 3 < 0, respectively. It was found that the system presents both second- and first-order phase transitions and, tricritical points. The compensation temperatures was also observed for the appropriate values of the system parameters. PACS: 05.50.+q 05.70.Fh 64.60.Cn 75.10.Hk  相似文献

The magnetic properties of a mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 and a mixed spin-3/2and spin-5/2 Ising ferromagnetic system with different anisotropies are studied by means of mean-field theory (MFT). The dependence of the phase diagram on single-ion anisotropy strengths is studied too. In the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising model, besides the second-order phase transition, the first order-disorder phase transition and the tricritical line are found. In the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-5/2 Ising model, there is no first-order transition and tricritical line.  相似文献

The transverse spin-2 Ising ferromagnetic model with a longitudinal crystal field is studied within the mean-field theory. The phase diagrams and magnetization curves are obtained by diagonalizing the Hamiltonian Hi of the Ising system numerically, and the first order-order phase transitions, the first order-disorder phase transitions, and the second-order phase transitions are discussed in details. Reentrant phenomenaoccur when the value of the transverse field is not zero and the reentrantdiagram is given.  相似文献

The multisublattice Green's function technique is applied to study the magnetic properties of a mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Heisenberg ferrimagnetic system on a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice. The role of the different interactions in the Hamiltonian is explored. When only the nearest-neighbor interaction and the single-ion anisotropy are included, our results indicate that there are compensation points at finite temperatures. When the next-nearest-neighbor interaction exceeds a minimum value that depends on the other parameters in the Hamiltonian, the compensation point disappears. The next-nearest-neighbor interaction has the effect of changing the compensation temperature.  相似文献

Godoy et al. (Phys. Rev. B 69, 054428, 2004) presented a study of the magnetic properties of a mixed spin (1/2,1), Ising ferrimagnetic model on a hexagonal lattice without an oscillating magnetic field. They employed dynamic mean-field calculations and Monte Carlo simulations to find the compensation point of the model and to present the phase diagrams. It has been found that the N-type compensation temperature appears only when the intrasublattice interaction between spins in the σ sublattice is ferromagnetic. Moreover, the system only undergoes a second-order phase transition. In this work, we extend the study a dynamic compensation temperature of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnetic system on a hexagonal lattice in the presence of oscillating magnetic field within the framework of dynamic mean-field calculations. We find that the system displays the N-type compensation temperature. We also calculate dynamic phase diagrams in which contain the paramagnetic, ferrimagnetic, nonmagnetic fundamental phases and two different mixed phases, depending on the interaction parameters and oscillating magnetic field. The system also exhibits tricritical and reentrant behaviors.  相似文献

The dynamic phase transition has been studied, within a mean-field approach, in the kinetic spin-3/2 Ising model Hamiltonian with arbitrary bilinear and biquadratic pair interactions in the presence of a time dependent oscillating magnetic field by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The nature (first- or second-order) of the transition is characterized by investigating the behavior of the thermal variation of the dynamic order parameters and as well as by using the Liapunov exponents. The dynamic phase transitions (DPTs) are obtained and the phase diagrams are constructed in the temperature and magnetic field amplitude plane and found nine fundamental types of phase diagrams. Phase diagrams exhibit one, two or three dynamic tricritical points, and besides a disordered (D) and the ferromagnetic-3/2 (F3/2) phases, six coexistence phase regions, namely F 3/2+ F 1/2, F 3/2+ D, F 3/2+ F 1/2+ FQ, F 3/2+ FQ, F 3/2+ FQ + D and FQ + D, exist in which depending on the biquadratic interaction. The dynamic behavior of a two-sublattice spin-1 Ising model with a crystal-field interaction (D) in the presence of a time-varying magnetic field on a hexagonal lattice is studied by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The lattice is formed by alternate layers of spins σ=1 and S=1. For this spin arrangement, any spin at one lattice site has two nearest-neighbor spins on the same sublattice, and four on the other sublattice. The intersublattice interaction is antiferromagnetic. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamical equations. Firstly, we study time variations of the average magnetizations in order to find the phases in the system, and the temperature dependence of the average magnetizations in a period, which is also called the dynamic magnetizations, to obtain the dynamic phase transition (DPT) points as well as to characterize the nature (continuous and discontinuous) of transitions. Then, the behavior of the total dynamic magnetization as a function of the temperature is investigated to find the types of the compensation behavior. Dynamic phase diagrams are calculated for both DPT points and dynamic compensation effect. Phase diagrams contain the paramagnetic (p) and antiferromagnetic (af) phases, the p+af and nm+p mixed phases, nm is the non-magnetic phase, and the compensation temperature or the L-type behavior that strongly depend on the interaction parameters. For D<2.835 and H0>3.8275, H0 is the magnetic field amplitude, the compensation effect does not appear in the system.  相似文献

We present phase diagrams for a nonequilibrium mixed spin-1/2 and spin-2 Ising ferrimagnetic system on a square lattice in the presence of a time dependent oscillating external magnetic field. We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamical equations. The time variation of the average magnetizations and the thermal behavior of the dynamic magnetizations are investigated, extensively. The nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the transitions is characterized by studying the thermal behaviors of the dynamic magnetizations. The dynamic phase transition points are obtained and the phase diagrams are presented in two different planes. Phase diagrams contain paramagnetic (p) and ferrimagnetic (i) phases, and one coexistence or mixed phase region, namely the i+p, that strongly depend on interaction parameters. The system exhibits the dynamic tricritical point and the reentrant behaviors.  相似文献

We have used the real-space Migdal-Kadanoff renormalization group technique on d-dimensional hypercubic lattice to study the mixed spin-1/2 and spin-2 Blume-Capel model. First, we indicate a critical dimension dC ≈?2.05, above and below which different topologies of phase diagrams occur. The phase diagrams have been plotted in the (crystal field, temperature) plane around dC, in which there is a second-order phase transition. Moreover, using the variation of the free energy at low temperatures, we have established the ground-state phase diagrams in the (?/J, C/J) plane for d?<?dC and d?≥?dC. In particular, we have seen the appearance of two first-order transitions at very low temperatures by the use of the free energy and its isotherm derivative. A detailed analysis of fixed points and flow diagrams indicates that there is no tricritical point.

A mean-field theory is developed for a mixed Ising ferrimagnetic system consisting of spin 1 and spin 3/2 with different transverse fields. The phase diagram and the thermal behaviour of magnetizations are studied. We find that a compensation point induced by different transverse fields can be observed, although the system never exhibits any compensation point for either zero or uniform transverse fields. The anomalous behaviour of the initial longitudinal magnetic susceptibility in the vicinity of the compensation and critical temperatures is also obtained.  相似文献

The mixed spin-1 and spin- \frac52\frac{5}{2} ferromagnetic Ising model with bilinear (J) and biquadratic (K) nearest-neighbor exchange interactions and a single-ion potential or crystal-field interaction (D) is studied on the Bethe lattice by means of exact recursion equations. First, the phase diagram of the system at zero temperature is obtained in the (D/Jq, K/Jq) plane, where q denotes the coordination number of the lattice. Second, the sublattice magnetizations as functions of the temperature, the crystal-field and the biquadratic interaction strengths are thoroughly investigated. For q = 3, the resulting phase diagrams show first and second order phase transitions as well as compensation points where the net magnetization of the whole lattice should vanish in the antiferromagnetic version of the model. One interesting feature of the model concerns the presence of tricritical points. Our calculations show that at non-zero temperature, none of the sublattice can order separately. However, under an external magnetic field, some interesting phase diagrams with partially ordered phases arise.  相似文献

The effects of assuming equal or unequal crystal fields (CF) on the phase diagrams of a mixed spin-1 and spin-5/2 system are investigated in terms of the recursion relations on the Bethe lattice (BL). The equal CF case was considered for the coordination numbers q=3, 4, and 6, while for q=3 the unequal CF case was also studied. It was found that for the equal CF case, the model exhibits second-order phase transitions and two compensation temperatures for all q, the reentrant behavior for q=4 and first-order phase transitions and tricritical point (TCP) for q=6. In the unequal CF case for q=3, the system yields first- and second-order phase transitions, TCP's, and three compensation temperatures. In addition, the TCP's in a very short range are classified as the stable and unstable ones depending on their free energies.  相似文献

We present a study, within a mean-field approximation, of the dynamics of a spin-1 metamagnetic Ising system with bilinear and biquadratic interactions in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field. First, we employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the set of mean-field dynamic equations. Then, we study the time variation of the average order parameters to find the phases in the system. We also investigate the thermal behavior of dynamic order parameters to characterize the nature (first- or second-order) of the dynamic transitions. The dynamic phase transitions are obtained and the phase diagrams are constructed in two different the planes. The phase diagrams contain a disordered and ordered phases, and four different mixed phases that strongly depend on interaction parameters. Phase diagrams also display one or two dynamic tricritical points, a dynamic double critical end and dynamic quadruple points. A comparison is made with the results of the other metamagnetic Ising systems.  相似文献

The phase diagrams in the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising system with two alternative layers on a honeycomb lattice are investigated and discussed by the use of the effective-field theory with correlations. The interaction of the nearest-neighbour spins of each layer is taken to be positive (ferromagnetic interaction) and the interaction of the adjacent spins of the nearest-neighbour layers is considered to be either positive or negative (ferromagnetic or anti-ferromagnetic interaction). The temperature dependence of the layer magnetizations of the system is examined to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperatures. The system exhibits both second-and first-order phase transitions besides triple point (T P ), critical end point (E), multicritical point (A), isolated critical point (C) and reentrant behaviour depending on the interaction parameters. We have also studied the temperature dependence of the total magnetization to find the compensation points, as well as to determine the type of behaviour, and N-type behaviour in N′eel classification nomenclature existing in the system. The phase diagrams are constructed in eight different planes and it is found that the system also presents the compensation phenomena depending on the sign of the bilinear exchange interactions.  相似文献
