We study the problem of bending vibrations of a prestressed flexible annular plate made of a cylindrically anisotropic material. The problem is solved using the method of initial functions and the theory of multiplicative integration. Using the resulting computational formulas we analyze the critical values of the loading parameters of the plate by the dynamic criterion. One table. Bibliography: 2 titles. The method of boundary integral equations is developed as applied to initial-boundary value problems for strictly hyperbolic systems of second-order equations characteristic of anisotropic media dynamics. Based on the theory of distributions (generalized functions), solutions are constructed in the space of generalized functions followed by passing to integral representations and classical solutions. Solutions are considered in the class of singular functions with discontinuous derivatives, which are typical of physical problems describing shock waves. The uniqueness of the solutions to the initial-boundary value problems is proved under certain smoothness conditions imposed on the boundary functions. The Green’s matrix of the system and new fundamental matrices based on it are used to derive integral analogues of the Gauss, Kirchhoff, and Green formulas for solutions and solving singular boundary integral equations.  相似文献

In this paper we consider some Kolmogorov–Feller equations with a small parameter h. We present a method for constructing the exact (exponential) asymptotics of the fundamental solution of these equations for finite time intervals uniformly with respect to h. This means that we construct an asymptotics of the density of the transition probability for discontinuous Markov processes. We justify the asymptotic solutions constructed. We also present an algorithm for constructing all terms of the asymptotics of the logarithmic limit (logarithmic asymptotics) of the fundamental solution as t → +0 uniformly with respect to h. We write formulas of the asymptotics of the logarithmic limit for some special cases as t → +0. The method presented in this paper also allows us to construct exact asymptotics of solutions of initial–boundary value problems that are of probability meaning.  相似文献

We consider fundamental (Dirichlet and Neumann-type) boundary value problems in a theory of generalized plane strain for the steady-state vibrations of an infinite piezoelectric medium with transversely isotropic symmetry (6 mm). Using integral equation methods with the appropriate Sommerfeld-type radiation conditions, we prove existence and uniqueness results for the corresponding exterior boundary value problems. We study two-dimensional stationary and nonstationary boundary value problems of fluid filtration in an anisotropic inhomogeneous porous layer whose conductivity is modeled by a not necessarily symmetric tensor. For the velocity field, we introduce generalized singular Cauchy and Cauchy type integrals whose kernels are expressed via the leading solutions of the main equations and have a hydrodynamic interpretation. We obtain the limit values of a Cauchy type generalized integral (Sokhotskii-Plemelj generalized formulas). This permits one to develop a method for solving boundary value problems for the filtration velocity field. The idea of the method and its efficiency are illustrated for the boundary value problem of filtration in adjacent layers of distinct conductivities and the problem of the evolution of liquid interface.  相似文献

Rank-deficient matrices arise naturally in many applications. Detecting rank changes and computing parameter values for which a matrix has a prescribed (low) rank deficiency is a fundamental task in computing least squares and minimum norm solutions to systems of linear equations. We describe an approach that originates from numerical continuation and bifurcation theory but has a wider applicability. It uses only linear solves with a bordered extension of the rank-deficient matrix and the transpose of that extension. We discuss the basic methods and their application in fundamental problems such as minimization and in more advanced problems in non-linear analysis. We present extensive numerical evidence in instructive test cases as well as in chemical model (one-dimensional PDE) and a biological model (using the software package CONTENT for dynamical systems). © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for new classes of parabolic type pseudodifferential equations over the rings of finite adeles and adeles. We show that the adelic topology is metrizable and give an explicit metric. We find explicit representations of the fundamental solutions (the heat kernels). These fundamental solutions are transition functions of Markov processes which are adelic analogues of the Archimedean Brownian motion. We show that the Cauchy problems for these equations are well-posed and find explicit representations of the evolution semigroup and formulas for the solutions of homogeneous and non-homogeneous equations.  相似文献

This article studies a numerical solution method for a special class of continuous time linear programming problems denoted by (SP). We will present an efficient method for finding numerical solutions of (SP). The presented method is a discrete approximation algorithm, however, the main work of computing a numerical solution in our method is only to solve finite linear programming problems by using recurrence relations. By our constructive manner, we provide a computational procedure which would yield an error bound introduced by the numerical approximation. We also demonstrate that the searched approximate solutions weakly converge to an optimal solution. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the provided procedure.  相似文献

In this paper we present some new applications of Lie symmetry analysis to problems in stochastic calculus. The major focus is on using Lie symmetries of parabolic PDEs to obtain fundamental solutions and transition densities. The method we use relies upon the fact that Lie symmetries can be integrated with respect to the group parameter. We obtain new results which show that for PDEs with nontrivial Lie symmetry algebras, the Lie symmetries naturally yield Fourier and Laplace transforms of fundamental solutions, and we derive explicit formulas for such transforms in terms of the coefficients of the PDE.  相似文献

Small free vibrations of an infinitely long rotating cylindrical shell being in contact with rigid cylindrical rollers are considered. A system of linear differential equations for the vibrations of such a shell is derived. By using the Fourier transform of the solutions in the circumferential coordinate, a system of algebraic equations for approximately determining the vibration frequencies and mode shapes is obtained. It is shown that, for any number n of uniformly distributed rollers, the approximate values of the first n frequencies and mode shapes can be found explicitly. On the basis of the orthogonal sweep method, an algorithm for numerically solving the boundary value eigenvalue problem describing the vibrations of a rotating shell is developed. Analytical and numerical results are compared. The obtained approximate formulas for frequencies and the numerical algorithm can be used to design centrifugal concentrators for ore enrichment.  相似文献

We construct a new Evans function for quasi-periodic solutions to the linearisation of the sine-Gordon equation about a periodic travelling wave. This Evans function is written in terms of fundamental solutions to a Hill’s equation. Applying the Evans-Krein function theory of Kollár and Miller (SIAM Rev 56(1):73–123, 2014) to our Evans function, we provide a new method for computing the Krein signatures of simple characteristic values of the linearised sine-Gordon equation. By varying the Floquet exponent parametrising the quasi-periodic solutions, we compute the linearised spectra of periodic travelling wave solutions of the sine-Gordon equation and track dynamical Hamiltonian–Hopf bifurcations via the Krein signature. Finally, we show that our new Evans function can be readily applied to the general case of the nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation with a non-periodic potential.

We have solved the problem of determination of the stressed state in an isotropic elastic body near ring-shaped defects (a crack or a thin rigid inclusion) as a result of the action of a harmonic torsional wave. The method of solution is based on the use of discontinuous solutions of the equation of torsional vibrations and lies in the reduction of the initial boundary-value problems to integral equations for the unknown jumps of angular displacement or tangential stress.  相似文献

Active noise control is an efficient strategy of noise control. A numerical wave shielding model to inhibit wave propagation, which can be considered as an extension of traditional active noise control, is established using the singular boundary method using time‐dependent fundamental solutions in this study. Two empirical formulas to evaluate the origin intensity factors with Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions are derived respectively. In comparison with other similar numerical methods, the method can obtain highly accurate results using very few boundary nodes and small CPU time. These meet the major technical requirements of simulation of active noise control. The subsequent numerical experiments show that the proposed model can shield efficiently from the wave propagation for both inner and exterior problems. By applying the newly derived empirical formulas, the CPU time of the singular boundary method is further reduced significantly, which makes the method a competitive new and efficient meshless method. In addition, the singular boundary method makes active noise control in an online manner via time‐dependent fundamental solutions as its basis functions.  相似文献

We solve state observation problems for string vibrations, i.e., problems in which the initial conditions generating the observed string vibrations should be reconstructed from a given string state at two distinct time instants. The observed vibrations are described by the boundary value problem for the wave equation with homogeneous boundary conditions of the first kind. Regular solutions to second-order elliptic systems on the plane are representable in terms of A-analytic functions satisfying an operator equation of the Beltrami type. We prove Carleman-type formulas for reconstruction of solutions from data on a part of the boundary of the domain. We use these formulas for solving the Cauchy problems for the system of Lame equations, the Navier–Stokes system, and the system of equations of elasticity with resilience.  相似文献

We consider the vibrations of a conical shell filled with a fluid. We obtain a system of differential equations that describes the interaction of a variable volume of fluid with the shell. We solve the problem of determining the natural frequencies for a completely full shell.
