We have proposed a configuration of an integrated multi-point differential laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) using arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) as grating elements. This paper demonstrates two-point velocity measurement using the proposed configuration with diffraction grating elements. An experiment was conducted using a free-space optical setup with bulk diffraction gratings instead of AWGs. The experimental results indicate that velocities at different positions can be measured using the proposed configuration. The measured separation of the two measurement positions was about 20.5 mm, about 11% of the working distance.  相似文献

We demonstrate a novel approach to the moving grating technique for removal of velocity ambiguity in a laser Doppler velocimeter. The method replaces the continuous motion of a moving grating with a grating which can be positioned or switched to three distinct phase positions. Advantages of this approach are its potential for compact implementation and high stability of the velocity offset.  相似文献

The self-mixing interference for optical velocity sensing is experimentally investigated in an all-fiber configuration distributed Bragg reflector laser. Simultaneously, theory model of self-mixing interference laser Doppler velocimeter based on quasi-analytical method. The experimental results show Doppler shift frequency is linearly proportional to the value of the velocity which agrees well with theory analysis. The results preserve an enough signal-to-noise ratio around 40 dB in the range from 39.3–317.0 mm/s (measurement range depending on bandwidth of circuit) for velocity measurement. Additionally, the cutoff circuit is used in our system to get a stable Doppler signal and reduces the error rate to 0.136 % in practical measurement.  相似文献

A bi-directional laser Doppler velocimeter utilizing optical frequency shifting has been developed. Optical frequency shifting is achieved by using a rotating radial grating. A high diffraction efficiency permits the system to be used in the fringe mode. The zero velocity frequency shift can be varied from 0.1 to 2.5 MHz with a stability better than 0.2%. Important applications are velocity measurements in reversing flows, highly turbulent flows, two-phase flows, and boundary layers. The system described may also be used for vibration analysis. The chirp heterodyne technique allows a directional discrimination of laser Doppler velocity measurements without the use of additional frequency shift elements. This paper presents, for the first time, the use of a chirp frequency-modulated solid-state laser, emitting in the green spectral range. Experimental results of a fluid flow measurement verify the function of the realised chirp heterodyne laser Doppler velocimeter.  相似文献

We propose a fiber-optic non-mechanical scanning laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) with directional discrimination of the velocity component using a single transmission path. The LDV uses a polarization maintaining fiber (PMF) as the transmission path between the main body and probe. Two beams with different frequencies induced by acousto-optic modulators (AOMs) are transmitted to the probe as two orthogonal polarization modes of the PMF. The measurement position is axially scanned using gratings in the probe and the change in wavelength. The functions of the scan and directional discrimination are demonstrated experimentally.  相似文献

An idea of using laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) to measure the velocity for the vehicle inertial navigation system was put forward. The principle of measuring its own velocity with laser Doppler technique was elaborated and reference-beam LDV was designed. Then Doppler signal was processed by tracking filter, frequency spectrum refinement and frequency spectrum correction algorithm. The result of theory and experiment showed that the reference-beam LDV solved the problem that dual-beam LDV cannot be used for measuring when the system was out of focus. Doppler signal was tracked so that signal-to-noise ratio was improved, and the accuracy of the system was enhanced by the technology of frequency spectrum refinement and correction. The measurement mean error was less than 1.5% in velocity range of 0-30 m/s.  相似文献

提出一种基于激光多普勒技术和光学外差原理对高速回转机械进行扭振测量的新方法,分析了工作原理,推导出光路部分的数学模型,并通过实验分别验证了测量方法的可行性和准确性。高相干激光投射到转轴同一个截面上2点,反射光的多普勒频移正比于转轴转速,通过光学配置,使前后两个时刻的多普勒频移光信号在光探测器上发生光学混频,光电流拍差正比于转轴在两个时刻的速度差,控制两个时刻时间差很小,直接得到角加速度。与其他激光多普勒扭振测量方法相比,该方法直接测量转动角加速度,在保证测量精度的前提下,提高了扭转振动测量的实时性,极大地扩展了扭振测量的动态范围,对大型回转机械运行状态监测和故障诊断具有重要意义。  相似文献

A laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) for two-dimensional velocity measurement using a simple optical configuration without any optical modulator is proposed. The structure using polarized beams and the 90° phase shift of the reference beam is used to discriminate the direction of velocity. The analytical relation among beat frequencies and velocity components is derived and the characteristics of the proposed LDV are simulated. The simulation results indicate that the direction of velocity can be discriminated by the proposed LDV as well as the magnitudes of the components of the velocity.  相似文献

研究一种采用频移分离方法的新型三维激光多普勒测速仪(3DLDV)。该仪器以单色He-Ne激光器和单只光电探测器并配合简单的光学发射和接收系统即实现了三维速度分量的同时测量。三个分量的速度信号由声光调制器引入的三种光学频移区分,通过电子滤波器完成信号的相互分离。在光学发射系统设计中采用独特的单轴四光束结构,通过光束组合形成三双光束差动模式的激光多普勒测速仪光。本文中还给出了该仪器的系统设计参数并分析  相似文献

An axial non-mechanical scan in the laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) using a single diffraction grating is demonstrated. The measurement position in this LDV is axially scanned using a wavelength change and a dispersion function of the grating. The experimental result using a sensor probe setup indicates that a scanning function is successfully obtained with a simpler arrangement than that of the LDV previously reported, and the ratio of the scanning range to the working distance can be enhanced by virtue of using larger angular dispersion.  相似文献

An experimental demonstration of using a single longitudinal mode solid-state laser source in laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) is presented. The technology of frequency spectrum correction is used in processing Doppler signal. The results of the experiments show that: the magnitude and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of Doppler signal are both enhanced by the solid-state laser; the measurement accuracy of LDV is improved by the technology of frequency spectrum correction, and the variance of the measured Doppler frequency is larger than the Cramer-Rao low bound (CRLB) of Doppler frequency about one order of magnitude.  相似文献

A novel non-contact fiber optic accelerometer is presented. Two laser beams that have passed through two different lengths of feed fibers are launched to the same moving target. The frequency of each beam is Doppler shifted by movement of the target. The frequency shift of the laser beam corresponds to the velocity of the target at the time of launch. The difference in launching time due to the difference in feed fiber lengths samples the velocities of the target at times spaced by the differential arrival times of the laser beams. Two return passes of the reflected light are also made different so that the light passed through the shorter feed fiber is steered to the longer return fiber by means of a combination of A/4 plate and polarization beam splitter (PBS). This arrangement of equalizing the total paths relieved a stringent requirement of the coherency of the laser. Two reflected light beams are mixed and the beat frequency corresponds to the difference in the Doppler shift frequency at two different times of arrival of the launcher. An accelerometer based upon this principle was constructed and its performance was examined using a sinusoidally vibrating hydrophone as a target.  提出将激光多普勒测速仪(LDV)应用于车载惯性导航系统中,阐述了激光多普勒自身速度仪的基本原理和小波变换的相关理论,并运用小波变换对多普勒信号进行检测、去噪及提取多普勒频率,仿真及实验结果表明:信号进行小波分解后,对每一级小波进行阈值处理,得到了较好的去噪效果;在小波降噪常见的阈值原则中,无偏似然估计阈值和极值阈值不容易丢失信号中的有用成分,而启发式阈值原则和固定阈值原则可以更有效地去除噪声;对于提取多普勒频率而言,小波变换与快速傅里叶变换所得的结果是一致的,而小波变换不但可以求出系统自身的运动速度,而且还可以求出对应速度发生的时刻。  相似文献

A novel ultrasonic velocimeter is described and evaluated with a view to measuring blood flow in vivo. The device is not based on the Doppler principle but operates by analysing the random fluctuations of the echo backscattered by blood. The rate at which the amplitude of the reflected signal passes through its mean level is related (by the dimensions of the resolution cell) to the velocity of the scatterers. Experimental trials in vitro validate the concept although there is a factor of two disagreement with predictions. The device is compared with the conventional Doppler velocimeter and problems of operation in vivo are discussed.  相似文献

A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing system based on a spectrum-limited Fourier domain mode-locking (SL-FDML) fiber laser is proposed. Multiple FBGs cascaded in a long fiber are utilized as both the sensors in the system and the wavelength-selected components in the SL-FDML fiber laser. Both wavelength-division multiplexing and spatial-division multiplexing techniques are demonstrated for interrogation of multiple FBGs by mapping the wavelength measurement to the time measurement and by adjusting the driving frequency of the SL-FDML fiber laser. The proposed FBG sensing system, employing techniques of the wavelength- and spatial-domain interrogation of multiple FBGs, can be used in remote and quasi-distributed multipoint sensing.  相似文献

全光纤光子多普勒速度测量(PDV)系统是一种新型的激光测速系统,可广泛用于冲击波、爆轰波以及其他短时高速运动物体的速度测量。多点测量可以获得靶面不同位置的速度,以测量靶面的形变。为提高测量的空间分辨率,提出使用裸光纤束为PDV系统的探头,并在实验上实现了空间分辨率为375μm的双点速度测量。裸光纤探头的间距较小,一个探头的测量结果可能受到另一个探头反射光的干扰。理论和实验的研究结果表明,当靶面各点速度相同时,测量结果不受干扰光的影响;当各点速度不同时,其测速误差不但与两被测点的速度差有关,还与传感光和干扰光的光强和相位有关。  相似文献

As a preliminary study for the collection of dust particles in an electrostatic precipitator, laser Doppler velocimetry has been used to measure the velocity of small dust particles charged in the high electric field of a model electrostatic precipitator. A differential optical system is adopted for the velocimeter. The period-measuring system is used to analyse Doppler beat signals and to obtain velocity data from them. By means of the laser Doppler velocimeter, the dynamic behaviour of the velocity and direction of moving dust particles is fully revealed as a function of the applied electric voltage in the entire collecting space of the model electrostatic precipitator, and is shown in vectorial flow diagrams of particle velocity.  相似文献
