For n even, we prove Pozhidaev's conjecture on the existence of associative enveloping algebras for simple n-Lie (Filippov) algebras. More generally, for n even and any (n + 1)-dimensional n-Lie algebra L, we construct a universal associative enveloping algebra U(L) and show that the natural map L → U(L) is injective. We use noncommutative Gröbner bases to present U(L) as a quotient of the free associative algebra on a basis of L and to obtain a monomial basis of U(L). In the last section, we provide computational evidence that the construction of U(L) is much more difficult for n odd.  相似文献

We obtain conditions for the nilpotency of finite-dimensional n-tuple Lie algebras and finite-dimensional associative n-tuple algebras. The established conditions are analogous to theorems of Engel and Wedderburn for Lie algebras and associative algebras.  相似文献

Finite vs affine W-algebras   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In Section 1 we review various equivalent definitions of a vertex algebra V. The main novelty here is the definition in terms of an indefinite integral of the λ-bracket. In Section 2 we construct, in the most general framework, the Zhu algebra ZhuΓV, an associative algebra which “controls” Γ-twisted representations of the vertex algebra V with a given Hamiltonian operator H. An important special case of this construction is the H-twisted Zhu algebra ZhuH V. In Section 3 we review the theory of non-linear Lie conformal algebras (respectively non-linear Lie algebras). Their universal enveloping vertex algebras (resp. universal enveloping algebras) form an important class of freely generated vertex algebras (resp. PBW generated associative algebras). We also introduce the H-twisted Zhu non-linear Lie algebra ZhuH R of a non-linear Lie conformal algebra R and we show that its universal enveloping algebra is isomorphic to the H-twisted Zhu algebra of the universal enveloping vertex algebra of R. After a discussion of the necessary cohomological material in Section 4, we review in Section 5 the construction and basic properties of affine and finite W-algebras, obtained by the method of quantum Hamiltonian reduction. Those are some of the most intensively studied examples of freely generated vertex algebras and PBW generated associative algebras. Applying the machinery developed in Sections 3 and 4, we then show that the H-twisted Zhu algebra of an affine W-algebra is isomorphic to the finite W-algebra, attached to the same data. In Section 6 we define the Zhu algebra of a Poisson vertex algebra, and we discuss quasiclassical limits. In the Appendix, the equivalence of three definitions of a finite W-algebra is established. “I am an old man, and I know that a definition cannot be so complicated.” I.M. Abstract

In the paper, the deriviation algebras of the associative algebras of the one-variable (resp. multivariable) q-differential operators and of their corresponding Lie algebras are determined. The completeness of the derivation algebras of the algebras of q-differential operators is also discussed. Finally, we calculate H 2(𝒟 q (n)?, C) for n ≥ 1, as well as H 2(g l n (𝒟 q ), C) under the assumption that q is transcendental over the rational numbers field Q.  相似文献

We define and study the property finite presentability in the category  of Hopf algebras that are smash product of universal enveloping algebra of a Lie algebra by a group algebra. We show that for such Hopf algebras finite presentability is equivalent with finite presentability as an associative k-algebra.  相似文献

We study Lie nilpotent varieties of associative algebras. We explicitly compute the codimension growth for the variety of strong Lie nilpotent associative algebras. The codimension growth is polynomial and found in terms of Stirling numbers of the first kind. To achieve the result we take the free Lie algebra of countable rank L(X), consider its filtration by the lower central series and shift it. Next we apply generating functions of special type to the induced filtration of the universal enveloping algebra U(L(X)) = A(X).  相似文献

We present notions of module over a universal algebra, and linear representation of a universal algebra, which have gained currency with categorical algebraists, we give several intriguing examples of these objects, showing that important aspects of universal algebras can be studied in this context, and we describe the theory ofenveloping ringoids, which have categories of left modules equivalent to corresponding categories of modules and linear representations. Algebras in many of the familiar varieties of algebras, which have underlying groups, turn out to have enveloping ringoids that are equivalent to familiar rings. Nonempty algebras in an abelian varietyV have an enveloping ringoid equivalent toR(V), the so-calledring of the variety V.Dedicated to the memory of Alan DayPresented by J. Sichler.  相似文献

The problem of classification of Jordan bimodules over (non-semisimple) finite dimensional Jordan algebras with respect to their representation type is considered. The notions of diagram of a Jordan algebra and of Jordan tensor algebra of a bimodule are introduced and a mapping Qui is constructed which associates to the diagram of a Jordan algebra J the quiver of its universal associative enveloping algebra S(J). The main results are concerned with Jordan algebras of semi-matrix type, that is, algebras whose semi-simple component is a direct sum of Jordan matrix algebras. In this case, criterion of finiteness and tameness for one-sided representations are obtained, in terms of diagram and mapping Qui, for Jordan tensor algebras and for algebras with radical square equals to 0.  相似文献

We study Zariski-closed linear groupsG GL n (k) over fieldsk of characteristic 0 which act sharply transitively on the non-zero vectors ofk n . For square-freen, orn15, or ifk has cohomological dimension 1 we obtain a complete classification (i.e. a reduction to questions about associative division algebras). The main tools are representation theory of Lie algebras over algebraically closed and non-closed fields, and results about simple associative algebras in order to control the interplay between linear Lie algebras and the associative algebras generated by them. The relation to nearfields and left-symmetric division algebras is also discussed.  相似文献

For simple conformal Lie superalgebras of type WN, Gröbner–Shirshov bases of their universal enveloping associative conformal algebras are found. The universal enveloping algebras considered correspond to a minimal locality function for which there is an injective embedding.  相似文献

Let A have a locally finite and multiparameter indexed filtration ?, and let B be a homomorphic image of A. Thus B has the locally finite and multiparameter indexed filtration induced from ?. Here we study a relation between the associated graded algebra of A and that of B and use this result to calculate the Gelfand–Kirillov dimension of several algebras related to quantized algebras and Poisson enveloping algebras.  相似文献

By analogy with n-Lie algebras, which are a natural generalization of Lie algebras to the case of n-ary multiplication, we define the concept of an n-ary Mal'tsev algerba. It is shown that exceptional algebras of a vector cross product are ternary central simple Mal'tsev algebras, which are not 3-Lie algebras if the characteristic of a ground field is distinct from 2 and 3. The basic result is that every n-ary algebra of the vector cross product is an n-ary central simple Mal'tsev algebra.  相似文献

In 1990 Kantor defined the conservative algebra W(n) of all algebras (i.e. bilinear maps) on the n-dimensional vector space. If n>1, then the algebra W(n) does not belong to any well-known class of algebras (such as associative, Lie, Jordan, or Leibniz algebras). We describe automorphisms, one-sided ideals, and idempotents of W(2). Also similar problems are solved for the algebra W2 of all commutative algebras on the 2-dimensional vector space and for the algebra S2 of all commutative algebras with trace zero multiplication on the 2-dimensional vector space.  相似文献

Let U q + be the “upper triangular part” of the quantized enveloping algebra associated with a symetrizable Cartan matrix. We show that U q + is isomorphic (as a Hopf algebra) to the subalgebra generated by elements of degree 0 and 1 of the cotensor Hopf algebra associated with a suitable Hopf bimodule on the group algebra of Z n . This method gives supersymetric as well as multiparametric versions of U q + in a uniform way (for a suitable choice of the Hopf bimodule). We give a classification result about the Hopf algebras which can be obtained in this way, under a reasonable growth condition. We also show how the general formalism allows to reconstruct higher rank quantized enveloping algebras from U q sl(2) and a suitable irreducible finite dimensional representation. We construct all the alternative (but not associative) algebras of dimension at most 5 over a perfect field. For any prime p, we show that there are fifteen alternative rings of prime power order pn ,n≤5, which are not associative. None of these rings is nil. Just one has a unity.  相似文献

Abstract

For a (left and right) noetherian semilocal ring R we analyse a regularity concept (called weak regularity) based on the equation gld R = dim R. Examples are regular Cohen-Macaulay orders over a regular local ring, localized enveloping algebras of finite dimensional Lie algebras, and the regular rings classified in Rump (2001b). We prove that weakly regular rings are Auslander-regular and Macaulay.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Starting from a Hopf algebra endowed with an action of a group π by Hopf automorphisms, we construct (by a “twisted” double method) a quasitriangular Hopf π-coalgebra. This method allows us to obtain non-trivial examples of quasitriangular Hopf π-coalgebras for any finite group π and for infinite groups π such as GL n (𝕂). In particular, we define the graded quantum groups, which are Hopf π-coalgebras for π = ?[[h]] l and generalize the Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum enveloping algebras.  相似文献

For the two Cartan type S subalgebras of the Witt algebra 𝒲n, called Lie algebras of divergence-zero vector fields, we determine all module structures on the universal enveloping algebra of their Cartan subalgebra 𝔥n. We also give all submodules of these modules.  相似文献

Iterating the triple construction applied consecutively to n Boolean algebras, we introduce two finitely axiomatizable subclasses SAin{{\bf SA}^{\rm i}_n} and SAsn{{\bf SA}^{\rm s}_n} of the class SA n of all Stone algebras of degree n with all the structure homomorphisms in their P-product representation injective or surjective, respectively. Then the class of all Post algebras of degree n is definitionally equivalent to the intersection SAin ?SAsn{{\bf SA}^{\rm i}_{n} \cap {\bf SA}^{\rm s}_{n}}. We show that for each n ≥ 2 the class SAin{{\bf SA}^{\rm i}_n} is hereditarily undecidable while SAsn{{\bf SA}^{\rm s}_{n}} is decidable. As a consequence we obtain several (un)decidability results for various axiomatic classes of Stone algebras: among them the decidability of the class of all Stone algebras of degree n which are dually pseudocomplemented and form a dual Stone algebra under the operation of dual pseudocomplement, and undecidability of the class of all Stone algebras with Boolean dense set. On the other hand, the class of all finite members in SA n is decidable.  相似文献

We introduce triples of associative algebras as a tool for building solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation. It turns out that the class of R-matrices thus obtained is related to a Hecke-like condition, which is formulated in the framework of associative algebras with non-degenerate symmetric cyclic inner product. R-matrices for a subclass of theA n-type Belavin-Drinfel’d triples are derived in this way.  相似文献
