This paper is concerned with the space of all compact adjoint operators from dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces and approximation properties. For some topology on the space of all bounded linear operators from separable dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces, it is shown that if a bounded linear operator is approximated by a net of compact adjoint operators, then the operator can be approximated by a sequence of compact adjoint operators whose operator norms are less than or equal to the operator norm of the operator. Also we obtain applications of the theory and, in particular, apply the theory to approximation properties.  相似文献

By the method of geometry of Banach spaces, we have proven that a bounded linear operator in Banach space is a compact linear one iff it can be uniformly approximated by a sequence of the finite rank bounded homogeneous operators, which reveals the essence of the counter example given by Enflo.  相似文献

本文引入并研究Lipschitz-α算子(简称Lip-α算子)我们首先给出这类算子的定义及其基本性质;然后,讨论Lip-α算子的可逆性并引入它的α-阶条件数,并给出其在研究非线性算子方程扰动问题中的一个应用;其次,还研究了Lip-α算子列的收敛性,引入并研究了Lip-α极限与Lip-α Cauchy列,证明过零Lip-α算子空间是一个Banach空间.  相似文献

本文引进Banach空间E的一个全新对偶空间概念—Lipschitz对偶空间,并证明:任何Banach空间的Lipschitz对偶空间是某个包含E的Banach空间的线性对偶空间,以所引进的新对偶空间为框架,本文定义了非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipshitz对偶算子,证明:任何非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipschitz对偶算子是有界线性算子.所获结果为推广线性算子理论到非线性情形(特别,运用线性算子理论研究非线性算子的特性)开辟了一条新的途径.作为例证,我们应用所建立的理论证明了若干新的非线性一致Lipschitz映象遍历收敛性定理.  相似文献

This paper addresses the analysis of dynamical systems generated by doubly nonlinear evolution equations governed by subdifferential operators with non-monotone perturbations in a reflexive Banach space setting. In order to construct global attractors, an approach based on the notion of generalized semiflow is employed instead of the usual semigroup approach, since solutions of the Cauchy problem for the equation might not be unique. Moreover, the preceding abstract theory is applied to a generalized Allen-Cahn equation as well as a semilinear parabolic equation with a nonlinear term involving gradients.  相似文献

A new continuity theorem of minimum selection is presented for a continuous set-valued operator from a topological space into a Banach space with some uniform convexity. As applications, some problems concerning minimum right inverses for linear operators and minimum fixed points for condensing set-valued nonlinear operators are discussed. In this article, we give a characterization of a class of bounded Fredholm operators on a Banach space which is developed to present some general existence results of the operators equation of the second kind. We study a class of closed linear operators on a Banach space whose nonzero spectrum lies in the open left half plane, and for which 0 is at most a simple pole of the operator resolvent. Our spectral theory based methods enable us to give a simple proof of the characterization of C 0-semigroups of bounded linear operators with asynchronous exponential growth, and recover results of Thieme, Webb and van Neerven. The results are applied to the study of the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to a singularly perturbed differential equation in a Banach space.  相似文献

We present convergence analysis of operator splitting methods applied to the nonlinear Rosenau–Burgers equation. The equation is first splitted into an unbounded linear part and a bounded nonlinear part and then operator splitting methods of Lie‐Trotter and Strang type are applied to the equation. The local error bounds are obtained by using an approach based on the differential theory of operators in Banach space and error terms of one and two‐dimensional numerical quadratures via Lie commutator bounds. The global error estimates are obtained via a Lady Windermere's fan argument. Lastly, a numerical example is studied to confirm the expected convergence order.  相似文献

In this note, we use inexact Newton-like methods to find solutions of nonlinear operator equations on Banach spaces with a convergence structure. Our technique involves the introduction of a generalized norm as an operator from a linear space into a partially ordered Banach space. In this way, the metric properties of the examined problem can be analyzed more precisely. Moreover, this approach allows us to derive from the same theorem, on the one hand, semilocal results of Kantorovich-type, and on the other hand, global results based on monotonicity considerations. By imposing very general Lipschitz-like conditions on the operators involved, on the one hand, we cover a wider range of problems, and on the other hand, by choosing our operators appropriately, we can find sharper error bounds on the distances involved than before. Furthermore, we show that special cases of our results reduce to the corresponding ones already in the literature. Finally, several examples are being provided where our results compare favorably with earlier ones.  相似文献

The goal of the present work is to give an existence result for a nonlinear integral equation on time scales by considering the Banach space endowed with its weak topology. More precisely, we obtain the existence of weakly continuous solutions for an integral equation that has on the right hand side the sum of two operators, one of them continuous while the other one satisfies a partial continuity condition and some integrability (in a nonabsolute sense) assumptions.  相似文献

In this paper we consider two quasilinear boundary value problems. The first is vector valued and has periodic boundary conditions. The second is scalar valued with nonlinear boundary conditions determined by multivalued maximal monotone maps. Using the theory of maximal monotone operators for reflexive Banach spaces and the Leray-Schauder principle we establish the existence of solutions for both problems.  相似文献

We show examples of compact linear operators between Banach spaces which cannot be approximated by norm attaining operators. This is the negative answer to an open question posed in the 1970s. Actually, any strictly convex Banach space failing the approximation property serves as the range space. The aim of this work is to study operators naturally connected to Ergodic operators in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, such as Uniform-Ergodic, Cesaro-bounded and Power-bounded operators, as well as stable and superstable operators. In particular, super-Ergodic operators are introduced and shown to be strictly between Ergodic and Uniform-Ergodic operators, and that any power bounded operator is super-Ergodic in a superreflexive space. New relationships between these operators are shown, others are proven to be optimal or can be ameliorated according to structural properties of the Banach space, such as the superreflexivity or with unconditional basis.
