ABSTRACT

This paper investigates the theoretical aspects for an optimal contraception control problem of a linear size-structured population model with extra mortality. The existence of a unique non-negative solution is established by using the Banach fixed-point theorem. The existence of a unique optimal strategy is derived by the Mazur theorem in convex analysis and the optimality conditions are obtained by means of normal cone and adjoint system techniques. Finally, some numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results in our paper.  相似文献

This work studies a nonlinear inverse problem of reconstructing the diffusion coefficient in a parabolic‐elliptic system using the final measurement data, which has important application in a large field of applied science. Being different from other works, which are governed by single partial differential equations, the underlying mathematical model in this paper is a coupled parabolic‐elliptic system, which makes theoretical analysis rather difficult. On the basis of the optimal control framework, the identification problem is transformed into an optimization problem. Then the existence of the minimizer is proved, and the necessary condition that must be satisfied by the minimizer is also given. Since the optimal control problem is nonconvex, one may not expect a unique solution universally. However, the local uniqueness and stability of the minimizer are deduced in this paper.  相似文献

We investigate the approximation of fractional resolvents, extending and improving some corresponding results on semigroups and resolvents. As applications, we utilize the approach of Meyer approximation to analyze the time optimal control problem of a Riemann-Liouville fractional system without Lipschitz continuity. Abstract

An optimal control problem constrained by a reaction–diffusion mathematical model which incorporates the cancer invasion and its treatment is considered. The state equations consisting of three unknown variables namely tumor cell density, normal cell density, and drug concentration. The main goal of the considered optimal control problem is to minimize the density of cancer cells and decreasing the side effects of treatment. Moreover, existence of a weak solution of brain tumor reaction–diffusion system and the corresponding adjoint system of optimal control problem is also investigated. Further, existence of minimizer for the optimal control problem is established and also the first-order optimality conditions are derived.  相似文献
