Stille coupling under standard conditions proceeds in low yield when using hindered organostannanes (1) or (2) and aryl bromide partners. The inclusion of aryl iodide instead of aryl bromide with the same organostannanes, significantly improves the efficiency of the coupling, providing a variety of desired products in good to excellent yield. The yields of Stille coupling are compared to the different reactivity of aryl halides. This study of Stille coupling with different aryl halides are documented and rationalized.  相似文献

N-Aryl-aza-crown ethers were efficiently prepared by reaction of an aza-crown ether with an aryl bromide via a palladium-catalyzed amination. The combination of Pd(2)(dba)(3) and a biphenyl-based electron-rich bulky monophosphine is effective for catalyzing the coupling of 1-aza-15-crown-5 with both electron-deficient and electron-rich aryl bromides under mild conditions. N-Aryl-aza-crown ethers were produced in 75-91% yields. N-Aryl-aza-crown ethers with o-aryl substituents can also be synthesized using this catalyst system, albeit in lower yields ( approximately 40%).  相似文献

We report an expedient method for the heteroarylation of acetone under tin-free conditions. The coupling is performed using the commercially available enol silane of acetone (2-trimethylsilyloxypropene) and a corresponding aryl bromide, chloride or triflate under microwave-assisted conditions, with tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium (Pd2(dba)3) or palladium acetate (Pd(OAc)2) and 2-(2′,6′-dimethoxybiphenyl)dicyclohexylphosphine (S-Phos) as the catalyst system.  相似文献

The coupling of aryl iodides with alcohols under mild conditions has been explored using self-assembled octanuclear copper clusters as catalysts. Reactions involving tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol were typically complete in 4-8 h at 110 degrees C using an oil bath or 1-3 h with microwave heating. High yields of alkyl aryl ethers were obtained with catalyst loadings as low as 0.4 mol % cluster.  相似文献

A practical, functional group tolerant method for the Rh-catalyzed direct arylation of a variety of pharmaceutically important azoles with aryl bromides is described. Many of the successful azole and aryl bromide coupling partners are not compatible with methods for the direct arylation of heterocycles using Pd(0) or Cu(I) catalysts. The readily prepared, low molecular weight ligand, Z-1-tert-butyl-2,3,6,7-tetrahydrophosphepine, which coordinates to Rh in a bidentate P-olefin fashion to provide a highly active yet thermally stable arylation catalyst, is essential to the success of this method. By using the tetrafluoroborate salt of the corresponding phosphonium, the reactions can be assembled outside of a glovebox without purification of reagents or solvent. The reactions are also conducted in THF or dioxane, which greatly simplifies product isolation relative to most other methods for direct arylation of azoles employing high-boiling amide solvents. The reactions are performed with heating in a microwave reactor to obtain excellent product yields in 2 h.  相似文献

Two procedures for the alpha-arylation of carbonyl compounds under conditions that are more neutral than those of reactions of aryl halides with alkali metal enolates are reported. The first procedure rests upon the development of catalysts bearing the hindered pentaphenylferrocenyl di-tert-butylphosphine (Q-phos) and the highly reactive dimeric Pd(I) complex {P(t-Bu)3]PdBr}2. By this procedure, zinc enolates prepared from alpha-bromo esters and amides react with aryl halides to form alpha-aryl esters and amides in high yields under mild conditions with 1-2 mol % catalyst and with remarkable functional group tolerance. By the second procedure, silyl ketene and silyl ketimine acetals react with aryl bromides in the presence of substoichiometric zinc fluoride, 1 mol % Pd(dba)2, and 2 mol % P(t-Bu)3 in DMF solvent at 80 degrees C. Reactions of zinc tert-butyl acetate and propionate enolates and trimethylsilyl ketene acetals of tert-butyl propionate and methyl isobutyrate with aryl bromides bearing electron-donating and potentially reactive, base-sensitive electron-withdrawing groups and with pyridyl bromides are reported. In addition, the diastereoselective coupling of phenyl bromide with an imide enolate bearing the Evans auxiliary is reported, and this study shows that racemization of base-sensitive stereocenters does not occur during the coupling process under these more neutral conditions.  相似文献

The aliphatic, phosphine-based pincer complex [(C(10)H(13)-1,3-(CH(2)P(Cy(2))(2))Pd(Cl)] (1) is a highly active Negishi catalyst, enable to quantitatively couple various electronically activated, non-activated, deactivated, sterically hindered and functionalized aryl bromides with various diarylzinc reagents within short reaction times and low catalyst loadings. Experimental observations strongly indicate that a molecular mechanism is operative with initial chloride dissociation of 1 and formation of the cationic T-shaped 14e(-) complex [(C(10)H(13)-1,3-(CH(2)P(C(6)H(11))(2))(2))Pd](+) (B), which undergoes oxidative addition of an aryl bromide (Ar'Br) to yield the cationic, penta-coordinated aryl bromide pincer complexes of type [(C(10)H(13)-1,3-(CH(2)P(Cy(2))(2))Pd(Br)(aryl')](+) (C) with the metal center in the oxidation state of +IV and the aryl unit in cis position relative to the aliphatic pincer core. Subsequent transmetalation with Zn(aryl)(2) result in the cationic diaryl pincer complexes of type [(C(10)H(13)-1,3-(CH(2)P(Cy(2))(2))Pd(aryl)(aryl')](+) (D), which reductively eliminate the coupling products, thereby regenerating the catalyst. The neutral square planar aryl pincer complex--a possible key intermediate in the catalytic cycle--was found to be reversibly formed in the reaction mixture but is not involved in the catalytic mechanism. Similarly, palladium nanoparticles as the catalytically active form of 1 could have been excluded.  相似文献

Phosphane-free oxime-derived palladacycle 2 is an efficient precatalyst for the copper-free acylation of terminal alkynes with different carboxylic acid chlorides in toluene in the presence of 3 equiv of TEA as base, giving the corresponding ynones in good yields. The coupling reaction can normally be performed under air or under inert atmosphere when very low catalyst loadings (10(-3) mol % Pd) (turnover numbers (TONs) up to 23,000, turnover frequencies (TOFs) up to 958 h(-1)) or sensitive carboxylic acid chlorides are used. In addition, Pd(OAc)(2) has been shown as an efficient catalyst for the ligandless process, although usually working under higher loading conditions. This new protocol allows one to perform the synthesis of ynones at 110 degrees C, at room temperature, or under microwave irradiation conditions.  相似文献

Potassium aryltrifluoroborates are cross-coupled with aryl and heteroaryl chlorides using a 4-hydroxyacetophenone oxime-derived palladacycle as precatalyst, K2CO3 as base, and TBAB as additive in refluxing water under conventional and microwave heating affording the corresponding biphenyls under phosphine-free conditions. For the arylation of allyl and benzyl chlorides, KOH is used as base in acetone-water (3:2) at rt or 50 degrees C using 0.1 mol % Pd loading providing allylbenzenes and diarylmethanes, respectively.  相似文献

The use of second-generation [(NHC)Pd(R-allyl)Cl] complexes for Suzuki-Miyaura and Buchwald-Hartwig cross-coupling reactions involving heteroaromatic halides at room temperature is reported. The first examples of room temperature Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of deactivated aryl chlorides with alkenyl boronic acids are also disclosed. Terminal substitution at the allyl moiety of the palladium complex facilitates its activation at room temperature leading to very active catalytic species enabling the present catalytic transformations to be performed rapidly using very mild reaction conditions. Catalyst loadings can be as low as 10 ppm for the Buchwald-Hartwig aryl amination and 50 ppm for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction.  相似文献

Kinetic studies using reaction calorimetry were carried out under synthetically relevant conditions to study the mechanism of the amination of bromobenzene with primary and secondary amines using Pd(2)(dba)(3)/BINAP mixtures as well as preformed (dba)Pd(BINAP), (p-tolyl)(Br)Pd(BINAP), and Pd(BINAP)(2) complexes. The presence of a significant induction period in the reaction was attributed to the slow activation of the catalytic precursor, resulting in an increase in the concentration of active species within the catalytic cycle. The induction period can mask the true kinetics of the reaction, which exhibits positive order dependences on aryl bromide and amine and zero-order dependence on base. It is also determined that the bis-ligand complex Pd(BINAP)(2) does not play a role directly on the catalytic cycle. In addition to the conventionally accepted pathway involving oxidative addition of the aryl halide to (BINAP)Pd as the first step, a pathway initiated by addition of the amine to the catalyst is proposed and supported by kinetic modeling of sequential reaction experiments. A subtle dependence of the reaction mechanism on the relative concentrations of substrates is revealed in these studies. The dependence of the catalyst resting state on reaction conditions is also discussed. This work suggests that conclusions from kinetic studies may be meaningful only for the conditions under which they are carried out, calling into question the use of conventional kinetic methods in this system.  相似文献

The regioselective 5-arylation of imidazole derivatives with aryl bromides using a low loading of a phosphine-free palladium catalyst gives a simple and economic access to the corresponding 5-arylimidazoles. The choice of the base and of the solvent was found to be crucial to form these products in high yields. Using KOAc as the base, DMAc as the solvent and only 0.5-0.01 mol % Pd(OAc)2 as the catalyst, the target products were obtained in moderate to good yields with a wide variety of aryl bromides. Substituents such as fluoro, trifluoromethyl, formyl, acetyl, propionyl, ester or nitrile on the aryl bromide are tolerated. Sterically congested aryl bromides or heteroaryl bromides can also be employed. The nature of the substituents on the imidazole derivative has an important influence on the yields.  相似文献

A series of (NHC)Pd(R-allyl)Cl complexes [NHC: IPr = N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene, SIPr = N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene; R = H, Me, gem-Me2, Ph] have been synthesized and fully characterized. When compared to (NHC)Pd(allyl)Cl, substitution at the terminal position of the allyl scaffold favors a more facile activation step. This translates into higher catalytic activity in the Suzuki-Miyaura and Buchwald-Hartwig reactions, allowing for the coupling of unactivated aryl chlorides at room temperature in minutes. In the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction, aryl triflates, bromides, and chlorides react with boronic acids using very low catalyst loading. In the N-aryl amination reaction, a wide range of substrates has been coupled efficiently; primary-, secondary-, alkyl-, or aryl-amines react in high yields with unactivated, neutral, and activated aryl chlorides and bromides. In both reactions, extremely hindered substrates such as tri-ortho-substituted biaryls and tetra-ortho-substituted diarylamines can be produced without loss of activity. Finally, the present catalytic system has proven to be efficient with as low as 10 parts-per-million (ppm) of precatalyst in the Buchwald-Hartwig reaction and 50 ppm in the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction.  相似文献

Graphene oxide (GO) was functionalized with a N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursor, 3-(3-aminopropyl)-1-methylimidazolium bromide ([APMIm][Br]) for the immobilization of palladium catalyst. The GO-supported NHC precursor (IMGO) formed a stable complex with Pd(OAc)2 (GO–NHC–Pd), which showed excellent catalytic activity and fast reaction kinetics in the aqueous-phase Suzuki reaction of aryl bromides and chlorides at relatively mild conditions (1 h at 50 °C). The GO–NHC–Pd catalyst was reused several times without any loss of its catalytic activity in the Suzuki reaction of aryl bromide.  相似文献

The designs of robust natural polymer based catalysts are important for catalytic systems in the view of industrial purposes and green chemistry. In this study, a new air and moisture stable robust starch‐based Pd(II) catalyst was designed and characterized with different analytical techniques. Catalytic behavior of the prepared robust palladium(II) catalyst was investigated in the Suzuki coupling reactions of aryl iodides, aryl bromides and aryl chlorides with phenyl boronic acid under microwave irradiation using very short reaction time. Sustainability and reusability of the catalyst was also explored under benign conditions. As a result of the catalytic tests, the green catalyst gave excellent biphenyl yields, TONs and TOFs with very low catalyst loading. More importantly, the robust catalyst has showed that it can be reused several times without important loses from its activity in the coupling reactions. The study showed that the robust starch‐based Pd(II) catalyst had more advantages than other catalysts reported in the literature due to its economic, sustainable, thermal durable, environmentally friendly and practice properties.  相似文献

Aryl tosylates are attractive substrates for Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions, but they are much less reactive than the more commonly used aryl triflates. We report the oxidative addition of aryl tosylates to Pd(PPF-t-Bu)[P(o-tolyl)3] and to Pd(CyPF-t-Bu)[P(o-tolyl)3] at room temperature to produce the corresponding palladium(II) aryl tosylate complexes. In the presence of added bromide ions, arylpalladium(II) bromide complexes were formed. The rate of oxidative addition was accelerated by addition of either coordinating or weakly coordinating anions, and the reactions were faster in more polar solvents. The mild conditions for oxidative addition allowed for the development of Pd-catalyzed Kumada couplings and amination reactions of unactivated aryl tosylates at room temperature. The catalysts for these mild couplings of aryl tosylates were generated from palladium precursors and the sterically hindered Josiphos-type ligands that induced oxidative addition of aryl tosylates to Pd(0) at room temperature.  相似文献

The activity of {Pd[C6H2(CH2CH2NH2)‐(OMe)2,3,4] (µ‐Br)}2 complex was investigated in the Heck–Mizoroki C C cross‐coupling reaction under conventional heating and microwave irradiation conditions in molten salt tetrabutylammonium bromide as the solvent and promoter at 130 °C. This complex in these conditions is an active and efficient catalyst for the Heck reaction of aryl iodides, bromides and even chlorides, and also arenesulfonyl chlorides. A general method for the intermolecular coupling of aryl halides and amides using a Xantphos/Pd catalyst is described. This system displays good functional group compatibility, and the desired C-N bond forming process proceeds in good to excellent yields with 1-4 mol % of the Pd catalyst. Additionally, the arylation of sulfonamides, oxazolidinones, and ureas is reported. The efficiency of these transformations was found to be highly dependent on reaction concentrations and catalyst loadings. A Pd complex resulting from oxidative addition of 4-bromobenzonitrile, (Xantphos)Pd(4-cyanophenyl)(Br) (II), was prepared in one step from Xantphos, Pd(2)(dba)(3), and the aryl bromide. Complex II proved to be an active catalyst for the coupling between 4-bromobenzonitrile and benzamide. X-ray crystallographic analysis of II revealed a rare trans-chelating bisphosphine-Pd(II) structure with a large bite angle of 150.7 degrees.  相似文献

Reported here is the Pd‐catalyzed C–N coupling of hydrazine with (hetero)aryl chlorides and bromides to form aryl hydrazines with catalyst loadings as low as 100 ppm of Pd and KOH as base. Mechanistic studies revealed two catalyst resting states: an arylpalladium(II) hydroxide and arylpalladium(II) chloride. These compounds are present in two interconnected catalytic cycles and react with hydrazine and base or hydrazine alone to give the product. The selectivity of the hydroxide complex with hydrazine to form aryl over diaryl hydrazine was lower than that of the chloride complex, as well as the catalytic reaction. In contrast, the selectivity of the chloride complex closely matched that of the catalytic reaction, indicating that the aryl hydrazine is derived from this complex. Kinetic studies showed that the coupling process occurs by rate‐limiting deprotonation of a hydrazine‐bound arylpalladium(II) chloride complex to give an arylpalladium(II) hydrazido complex.  相似文献
