6Li and 7Li MAS NMR spectra including 1D-EXSY (exchange spectroscopy) and inversion recovery experiments of fast ionic conducting Li2MgCl4, Li2-xCuxMgCl4, Li2-xNaxMgCl4, and Li2ZnCl4 have been recorded and discussed with respect to the dynamics and local structure of the lithium ions. The chemical shifts, intensities, and half-widths of the Li MAS NMR signals of the inverse spinel-type solid solutions Li2-xMIxMgCl4 (MI=Cu, Na) with the copper ions solely at tetrahedral sites and sodium ions at octahedral sites and the normal spinel-type zinc compound, respectively, confirm the assignment of the low-field signal to Litet of inverse spinel-type Li2MgCl4 and the high-field signal to Lioct as proposed by Nagel et al. (2000). In contrast to spinel-type Li2-2xMg1+xCl4 solid solutions with clustering of the vacancies and Mg2+ ions, the Cu+ and Na+ ions are randomly distributed on the tetrahedral and octahedral sites, respectively. The activation energies due to the various dynamic processes of the lithium ions in inverse spinel-type chlorides obtained by the NMR experiments are Ea=6.6-6.9 and ΔG*>79 KJ mol−1 (in addition to 23, 29, and 75 kJmol-1 obtained by other techniques), respectively. The largest activation energy of >79 KJ mol−1 corresponds to hopping exchange processes of Li ions between the tetrahedral 8a sites and the octahedral 16d sites. The smallest value of 6.6-6.9 KJ mol−1, which was derived from the temperature dependence of both the spin-lattice relaxation times T1 and the correlation times τC of Litet, reveals a dynamic process for the Litet ions inside the tetrahedral voids of the structure, probably between fourfold 32e split sites around the tetrahedral 8a site.  相似文献

The transport properties and lithium insertion mechanism into the first mixed valence silver-copper oxide AgCuO2 and the B-site mixed magnetic delafossite AgCu0.5Mn0.5O2 were investigated by means of four probes DC measurements combined with thermopower measurements and in situ XRD investigations. AgCuO2 and AgCu0.5Mn0.5O2 display p-type conductivity with Seebeck coefficient of Q=+2.46 and +78.83 μV/K and conductivity values of σ=3.2×10−1 and 1.8×10−4 S/cm, respectively. The high conductivity together with the low Seebeck coefficient of AgCuO2 is explained as a result of the mixed valence state between Ag and Cu sites. The electrochemically assisted lithium insertion into AgCuO2 shows a solid solution domain between x=0 and 0.8Li+ followed by a plateau nearby 1.7 V (vs. Li+/Li) entailing the reduction of silver to silver metal accordingly to a displacement reaction. During the solid solution, a rapid structure amorphization was observed. The delafossite AgCu0.5Mn0.5O2 also exhibits Li+/Ag+ displacement reaction in a comparable potential range than AgCuO2; however, with a prior narrow solid solution domain and a less rapid amorphization process. AgCuO2 and AgCu0.5Mn0.5O2 provide a discharge gravimetric capacity of 265 and 230 mA h/g above 1.5 V (vs. Li+/Li), respectively, with no evidence of a new defined phases.  相似文献

X-band and high-frequency EPR spectroscopy were used for studying the manganese environment in layered Li[MgxNi0.5−xMn0.5]O2, 0?x?0.5. Both layered LiMg0.5Mn0.5O2 and monoclinic Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 oxides (containing Mn4+ ions only) were used as EPR standards. The EPR study was extended to the Ni-substituted analogues, where both Ni2+ and Mn4+ are paramagnetic. For LiMg0.5−xNixMn0.5O2 and Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2, an EPR response from Mn4+ ions only was detected, while the Ni2+ ions remained EPR silent in the frequency range of 9.23-285 GHz. For the diamagnetically diluted oxides, LiMg0.25Ni0.25Mn0.5O2 and Li[Li0.10Ni0.35Mn0.55]O2, two types of Mn4+ ions located in a mixed (Mn-Ni-Li)-environment and in a Ni-Mn environment, respectively, were registered by high-field experiments. In the X-band, comparative analysis of the EPR line width of Mn4+ ions permits to extract the composition of the first coordination sphere of Mn in layered LiMg0.5−xNixMn0.5O2 (0?x?0.5) and Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2 (x>0.2). It was shown that a fraction of Mn4+ are in an environment resembling the ordered “α,β”-type arrangement in Li1−δ1Niδ1[Li(1−2x)/3+δ1Ni2x/3−δ1)α(Mn(2−x)/3Nix/3)β]O2 (where and δ1=0.06 were calculated), while the rest of Mn4+ are in the Ni,Mn-environment corresponding to the Li1−δ2Niδ2[Ni1−yMny]O2 () composition with a statistical Ni,Mn distribution. For Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2 with x?0.2, IR spectroscopy indicated that the ordered α,β-type arrangement is retained upon Ni introduction into monoclinic Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2.  相似文献

Layered LiNi0.4Co0.2Mn0.4O2, Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2, Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 powder materials were prepared by rheological phase method. XRD characterization shows that these samples all have analogous structure to LiCoO2. Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 can be considered to be the solid solution of LiNi0.4Co0.2Mn0.4O2 and Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2. Detailed information from XRD, ex situ XPS measurement and electrochemical analysis of these three materials reveals the origin of the irreversible plateau (4.5 V) of Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 electrode. The irreversible oxidation reaction occurred in the first charging above 4.5 V is ascribed to the contribution of Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 component, which maybe extract Li+ from the transition layer in Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 or Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 through oxygen release. This step also activates Mn4+ of Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 or Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2, it can be reversibly reduced/oxidized between Mn4+ and Mn3+ in the subsequent cycles.  相似文献

Superfine Li1−xMn2O4−σ powders were successfully synthesized by the alcohol-thermal method using 0.01 mol of MnO2, 0.01mol of LiOH·H2O, and 0.06mol of NaOH as starting materials at 160-200°C. The products are characterized by XRD, TEM, ED, BET, and ICP. Results show that the Li0.74Mn2O3.74 powder prepared at 200°C has an average size of 180 nm with BET surface areas of 16.44 m2/g. A possible formation mechanism is proposed. It was concluded that the alcohol acts not only as the solvent but also as the reducing agent in the synthesis of Li1−xMn2O4−σ powders. The effects of reaction temperature and the contents of NaOH and LiOH on the formation of single phase Li1−xMn2O4−σ were investigated.  相似文献

Lithium-nickel-manganese oxides (Li1+x(Ni1/2Mn1/2)1−xO2, x=0 and 0.2), having different cationic distributions and an oxidation state of Ni varying from 2+ to 3+, were formed under a high-pressure (3 GPa). The structure and cationic distribution in these oxides were examined by powder X-ray diffraction, infrared (IR) and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) in X-band (9.23 GHz) and at higher frequencies (95 and 285 GHz). Under a high pressure, a solid-state reaction between NiMnO3 and Li2O yields LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 with a disordered rock-salt type structure. The paramagnetic ions stabilized in this oxide are mainly Ni2+ and Mn4+ together with Mn3+ (about 10%). The replacement of Li2O by Li2O2 permits increasing the oxidation state of Ni ions in lithium-nickel-manganese oxides. The higher oxidation state of Ni ions favours the stabilization of the layered modification, where the Ni-to-Mn ratio is preserved: Li(Li0.2Ni0.4Mn0.4)O2. The paramagnetic ions stabilized in the layered oxide are mainly Ni3+ and Mn4+ ions. The disordered and ordered phases display different intercalation properties in respect of lithium. The changes in local Ni,Mn-environment during the electrochemical reaction are discussed on the basis of EPR and IR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Solid solutions of Li-doped Mg0.857Cu2.143O3 (LixMg0.857−xCu2.143O3−y) were prepared at 950°C for 12 h in air by the solid-state method using Li2CO3, MgO and CuO powders. The solid solutions were obtained as the single α phase with the güggenite structure in 0≦x≦0.06 region. With the increasing of the Li content x, the lattice parameters a, b and unit cell volume V decreased, while c increased. On the basis of the charge neutrality, hole carrier estimated by the oxygen content increased with the Li substitution. The Seebeck coefficient at room temperature of x = 0.03 sample was +400 μV/K. The electrical resistivity ρ at room temperature drastically decreased with the increasing x. Temperature dependences of ρ for x = 0.01, 0.03 and 0.06 samples were semi-conductive behavior from room temperature to about 12 K. Interaction between Cu2+ and Cu2+ through O2− seems to be somewhat large antiferromagnetic one. Sperconducting transition was not detected in the temperature range.  相似文献

The new lithium ionic conductors, thio-LISICON (LIthium SuperIonic CONductor), were found in the ternary Li2S-SiS2-Al2S3 and Li2S-SiS2-P2S5 systems. Their structures of new materials, Li4+xSi1−xAlxS4 and Li4−xSi1−xPxS4 were determined by X-ray Rietveld analysis, and the electric and electrochemical properties were studied by electronic conductivity, ac conductivity and cyclic voltammogram measurements. The structure of the host material, Li4SiS4 is related to the γ-Li3PO4-type structure, and when the Li+ interstitials or Li+ vacancies were created by the partial substitutions of Al3+ or P5+ for Si4+, large increases in conductivity occur. The solid solution member x=0.6 in Li4−xSi1−xPxS4 showed high conductivity of 6.4×10-4 S cm−1 at 27°C with negligible electronic conductivity. The new solid solution, Li4−xSi1−xPxS4, also has high electrochemical stability up to ∼5 V vs Li at room temperature. All-solid-state lithium cells were investigated using the Li3.4Si0.4P0.6S4 electrolyte, LiCoO2 cathode and In anode.  相似文献

LaMnxV1−xO4−δ(0≤x≤1) samples were characterized using thermogravimetry, thermo-dilatometry, high-temperature X-ray diffraction (HTXRD) and temperature-programmed reduction techniques, with an objective to explore the role of substitution on their thermo-physical properties, which may have a direct bearing on their catalytic behavior. Even though the substituted compositions (x<0.8) were of a single phase, their reduction occurred in two steps, a lower temperature step corresponding to Mn4+→Mn3+/Mn2+ and another higher temperature one related to V5+→V3+. The dilatometric measurements gave similar values of linear thermal expansion coefficient (α1) at temperatures up to 600 °C, both for LaVO4 and substituted samples. A different behavior was, however, observed at higher temperatures, whereas thermal contraction was observed in case of LaVO4 for measurements at temperatures above 700 °C, the value of α1 remained almost constant in case of the substituted samples. Furthermore, the HTXRD data revealed expansion in cell volume for all temperatures up to 950 °C, irrespective of the substitution. These results therefore point to a higher degree of sintering in LaVO4 as compared to Mn-doped samples on heating at temperatures above 700 °C. It is inferred that the resistance to sintering and the lowering of the reduction temperature are both responsible to the higher catalytic activity of the substituted samples and their compositional stability during the repeated cycles of reduction-reoxidation, as reported earlier [Appl. Catal. A 205 (2001) 295].  相似文献

To study crystallization process of spinel-type Li1+xMn2−xO4, in-situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction technique (HT-XRD) was utilized for the mixture consisting of Li2CO3 and Mn2O3 as starting material in the temperature range of 25-700 °C. In-situ HT-XRD analysis directly revealed that crystallization process of Li1+xMn2−xO4 was significantly affected by the difference in the Li/Mn molar ratio in the precursor. Single phase of stoichiometric LiMn2O4 formed at 700 °C. The formation of single phase of spinel was achieved at the lower temperature than the stoichiometric sample as Li/Mn molar ratio in the precursor increased. Lattice parameter of the stoichiometric LiMn2O4 at 25 °C was 8.24 Å and expanded to 8.31 Å at 700 °C, which corresponds to the approximately 3% expansion in the unit cell volume. From the slope of the lattice parameter change as a function of temperatures, linear thermal expansion coefficient of the stoichiometric LiMn2O4 was calculated to be 1.2×10−5 °C−1 in this temperature range. When the Li/Mn molar ratio in Li1+xMn2−xO4 increased (x > 0.1), the spinel phase segregated into the Li1+yMn2−yO4 (x > y) and Li2MnO3 during heating, which involved the oxygen loss from the materials. During the cooling process from 700 °C, and the segregated phase merged into Li1+xMn2−xO4 with oxygen incorporation. Such trend directly observed by in-situ HT-XRD was supported by thermal gravimetric analysis as reversible weight (oxygen) loss/gain at higher temperature (500-700 °C).  相似文献

The layered LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2−zFz (0 ≤ z ≤ 0.12) cathode materials were synthesized from oxalate precursors by a simple self-propagating solid-state metathesis method with the help of the ball milling and the following calcination. Li(Ac)·2H2O, Ni(Ac)2·4H2O, Co(Ac)2·4H2O, Mn(Ac)2·4H2O(Ac = acetate), LiF and excess H2C2O4·2H2O were used as starting materials without any solvent. The structural and electrochemical properties of the prepared LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2−zFz were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and electrochemical measurements, respectively. The XRD patterns indicate that all samples have a typical hexagonal structure with a space group of . The FESEM images show that the primary particle size of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2−zFz gradually increases with increasing fluorine content. Though the fluorine-substituted LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2−zFz have lower initial discharge capacities, a small amount of fluorine-substituted LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2−zFz (z = 0.04 and 0.08) exhibit excellent cycling stability and rate capability compared to fluorine-free LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2.  相似文献

LiMnC2O4(Ac) precursor in which Li+ and Mn2+ were amalgamated in one molecule was prepared by solid-state reaction at room-temperature using manganese acetate, lithium hydroxide and oxalic acid as raw materials. By thermo-decomposition of LiMnC2O4(Ac) at various temperatures, a series of Li1+y[Mn2−xLix]16dO4 spinels were prepared with Li2MnO3 as impurities. The structure and phase transition of these spinels were investigated by XRD, TG/DTA, average oxidation state of Mn and cyclic voltammeric techniques. Results revealed that the Li-Mn-O spinels with high Li/Mn ratio were unstable at high temperature, and the phase transition was associated with the transfer of Li+ from octahedral 16c sites to 16d sites. With the sintering temperature increasing from 450 to 850 °C, the phase structure varied from lithiated-spinel Li2Mn2O4 to Li4Mn5O12-like to LiMn2O4-like and finally to rock-salt LiMnO2-like. A way of determining x with average oxidation state of Mn and the content of Li2MnO3 was also demonstrated.  相似文献

Magnetism for the LixMn2O4 samples with 0.07≤x≤1, which are prepared by a chemical reaction in HNO3 solution, is investigated by direct current susceptibility (χ) and muon-spin rotation/relaxation (μSR) measurements. The effective magnetic moment (μeff) of Mn ions decreases monotonically with decreasing x, indicating that Mn3+ ions with S=2 () are oxidized to Mn4+ ions with S=3/2 () with decreasing x. On the other hand, as x decreases from 1 to 0.6, the Curie-Weiss temperature (Θp) increases monotonically from ∼260 to 100 K, and then levels off to 100 K with further decreasing x. This indicates that the antiferromagnetic interaction is dominant in the whole x range. For the x=0.48 sample, the temperature dependence of χ in field-cooling mode clearly deviates from that in zero-field-cooling mode below ∼63 K (=Tm). Furthermore, the hysteresis loop is observed in the magnetization vs. field curve at 5 K. Since the zero-field μSR spectrum is well fitted by a strongly damped oscillation function, the Mn moments for the x=0.48 sample are in a highly disordered fashion down to the lowest temperature measured.  相似文献

Several compounds of the (Na1−xLix)CdIn2(PO4)3 solid solution were synthesized by a solid-state reaction in air, and pure alluaudite-like compounds were obtained for x=0.00, 0.25, and 0.50. X-ray Rietveld refinements indicate the occurrence of Cd2+ in the M(1) site, and of In3+ in the M(2) site of the alluaudite structure. This non-disordered cationic distribution is confirmed by the sharpness of the infrared absorption bands. The distribution of Na+ and Li+ on the A(1) and A(2)′ crystallographic sites cannot be accurately assessed by the Rietvled method, probably because the electronic densities involved in the Na+→Li+ substitution are very small. A comparison with the synthetic alluaudite-like compounds, (Na1−xLix)MnFe2(PO4)3, indicates the influence of the cations occupying the M(1) and M(2) sites on the coordination polyhedra morphologies of the A(1) and A(2)′ crystallographic sites.  相似文献

Mixed crystals of Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 have been obtained by evaporation from aqueous solution at 313 K using different molar ratios of mixtures of LiKSO4 and LiNH4SO4. The crystals were characterized by Raman scattering and single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. Two types of compound were obtained: Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 with x?0.94 and Li2KNH4(SO4)2. Different phases of Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 were yielded according to the molar ratio used in the preparation. The first phase is isostructural to the room-temperature phase of LiKSO4. The second phase is the enantiomorph of the first, which is not observed in pure LiKSO4, and the last is a disordered phase, which was also observed in LiKSO4, and can be assumed as a mixture of domains of two preceding phases. In the second type of compound with formula Li2KNH4(SO4)2, the room-temperature phase is hexagonal, symmetry space group P63 with cell-volume nine times that of LiKSO4. In this phase, some cavities are occupied by K+ ions only, and others are occupied by either K+ or NH4+ at random. Thermal analyses of both types of compounds were performed by DSC, ATD, TG and powder X-ray diffraction. The phase transition temperatures for Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4x?0.94 were affected by the random presence of the ammonium ion in this disordered system. The high-temperature phase of Li2KNH4(SO4)2 is also hexagonal, space group P63/mmc with the cell a-parameter double that of LiKSO4. The phase transition is at 471.9 K.  相似文献

Cathode materials Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 for lithium secondary batteries have been prepared by a new route—precursor method of layered double hydroxides (LDHs). In situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (TG-MS) were used to monitor the structural transformation during the reaction of CoMn LDHs and LiOH·H2O: firstly the layered structure of LDHs transformed to an intermediate phase with spinel structure; then the distortion of the structure occurred with the intercalation of Li+ into the lattice, resulting in the formation of layered Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 with α-NaFeO2 structure. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) data showed that the Co-O bonding length and the coordination number of Co were close to those of Mn in Li[CoxMn1−x]O2, which indicates that the local environments of the transitional metals are rather similar. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to measure the oxidation state of Co and Mn. The influences of Co/Mn ratio on both the structure and electrochemical property of Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 have been investigated by XRD and electrochemical tests. It has been found that the products synthesized by the precursor method demonstrated a rather stable cycling behavior, with a reversible capacity of 122.5 mAh g−1 for the layered material Li[Co0.80Mn0.20]O2.  相似文献

Phase relations in the MnO-SiO2-Li4SiO4 subsystem have been investigated by X-ray diffraction after solid-state reactions in hydrogen at 950-1150 °C. Both cation-deficient and cation-excess solid solutions Li2+2xMn1−xSiO4 (−0.2?x?0.2) based on Li2MnSiO4 have been found. According to Rietveld analysis, Li2MnSiO4 (monoclinic, P21/n, a=6.3368(1), b=10.9146(2), c=5.0730(1) Å, β=90.987(1)°) is isostructural with γII-Li2ZnSiO4 and low-temperature Li2MgSiO4. All components are in tetrahedral environment, (MnSiO4)2− framework is built of four-, six- and eight-member rings of tetrahedra. Testing Li2MnSiO4 in an electrochemical cell showed that only 4% Li could be extracted between 3.5 and 5 V against Li metal. These results are discussed in comparison with those for recently reported orthorhombic layered Li2MnSiO4 and other tetrahedral Li2MXO4 phases.  相似文献

New phases which arise from partial substitution of Ti4+ by Cr3+ and Li+ of the compound La2/3TiO3 have been obtained, giving rise to the series La1.33LixCrxTi2−xO6 (x=0.66, 0.55 and 0.44). These phases adopt a perovskite-type structure as deduced from their structural characterization. Rietveld's analyses of neutron diffraction data show that it is orthorhombic (S.G. Pbnm) with ordered domains. Conductivity has been examined by complex impedance spectroscopy and it increases with increasing lithium and chromium content. These materials behave as mixed conductors with low activation energies. Magnetic susceptibility variation with temperature shows antiferromagnetic interactions at the lowest temperatures.  相似文献

Spinel Li1−xCo2O4−δ samples with 0.44≤(1−x)≤1 have been synthesized by chemically extracting lithium with the oxidizer NO2BF4 in acetonitrile medium from the LT-LiCoO2 synthesized at 400°C. Rietveld analysis of the X-ray diffraction data reveals that the Li1−xCo2O4−δ samples adopt the normal cubic spinel structure with a cation distribution of (Li1−x)8a[Co2]16dO4−δ. Redox iodometric titration data indicate that the LT-LiCoO2 tends to lose oxygen on extracting lithium and the spinel Li1−xCo2O4−δ samples are oxygen-deficient. Both infrared spectroscopic and magnetic susceptibility data suggest that the LiCo2O4−δ spinel is metallic with itinerant electrons. The tendency to lose oxygen on extracting lithium from the LT-LiCoO2 and the observed metallic behavior of the spinel LiCo2O4−δ are explained on the basis of a qualitative band diagram.  相似文献
