Although two‐dimensional (2D) metal–halide double perovskites display versatile physical properties due to their huge structural compatibility, room‐temperature ferroelectric behavior has not yet been reported for this fascinating family. Here, we designed a room‐temperature ferroelectric material composed of 2D halide double perovskites, (chloropropylammonium)4AgBiBr8, using an organic asymmetric dipolar ligand. It exhibits concrete ferroelectricity, including a Curie temperature of 305 K and a notable spontaneous polarization of ≈3.2 μC cm?2, triggered by dynamic ordering of the organic cation and the tilting motion of heterometallic AgBr6/BiBr6 octahedra. Besides, the alternating array of inorganic perovskite sheets and organic cations endows large mobility‐lifetime product (μτ=1.0×10?3 cm2 V?1) for detecting X‐ray photons, which is almost tenfold higher than that of CH3NH3PbI3 wafers. As far as we know, this is the first study on an X‐ray‐sensitive ferroelectric material composed of 2D halide double perovskites. Our findings afford a promising platform for exploring new ferroelectric materials toward further device applications.  相似文献

Cesium‐lead halide perovskites (e.g. CsPbBr3) have gained attention because of their rich physical properties, but their bulk ferroelectricity remains unexplored. Herein, by alloying flexible organic cations into the cubic CsPbBr3, we design the first cesium‐based two‐dimensional (2D) perovskite ferroelectric material with both inorganic alkali metal and organic cations, (C4H9NH3)2CsPb2Br7 ( 1 ). Strikingly, 1 shows a high Curie temperature (Tc=412 K) above that of BaTiO3 (ca. 393 K) and notable spontaneous polarization (ca. 4.2 μC cm?2), triggered by not only the ordering of organic cations but also atomic displacement of inorganic Cs+ ions. To our knowledge, such a 2D bilayered Cs+‐based metal–halide perovskite ferroelectric material with inorganic and organic cations is unprecedented. 1 also shows photoelectric semiconducting behavior with large “on/off” ratios of photoconductivity (>103).  相似文献

Organic–inorganic hybrid perovskites, with the formula ABX3 (A=organic cation, B=metal cation, and X=halide; for example, CH3NH3PbI3), have diverse and intriguing physical properties, such as semiconduction, phase transitions, and optical properties. Herein, a new ABX3‐type semiconducting perovskite‐like hybrid, (hexamethyleneimine)PbBr3 ( 1 ), consisting of one‐dimensional inorganic frameworks and cyclic organic cations, is reported. Notably, the inorganic moiety of 1 adopts a perovskite‐like architecture and forms infinite columns composed of face‐sharing PbBr6 octahedra. Strikingly, the organic cation exhibits a highly flexible molecular configuration, which triggers an above‐room‐temperature phase transition, at Tc=338.8 K; this is confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), specific heat capacity (Cp), and dielectric measurements. Further structural analysis reveals that the phase transition originates from the molecular configurational distortion of the organic cations coupled with small‐angle reorientation of the PbBr6 octahedra inside the inorganic components. Moreover, temperature‐dependent conductivity and UV/Vis absorption measurements reveal that 1 also displays semiconducting behavior below Tc. It is believed that this work will pave a potential way to design multifeatured perovskite hybrids by utilizing cyclic organic amines.  相似文献

Rubidium lead halides (RbPbX3), an important class of all‐inorganic metal halide perovskites, are attracting increasing attention for photovoltaic applications. However, limited by its lower Goldschmidt tolerance factor t≈0.78, all‐inorganic RbPbBr3 has not been reported. Now, the crystal structure, X‐ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, and band structure of perovskite‐phase RbPbBr3 has now been investigated. Perovskite‐phase RbPbBr3 is unstable at room temperature and transforms to photoluminescence (PL)‐inactive non‐perovskite. The structural evolution and mechanism of the perovskite–non‐perovskite phase transition were clarified in RbPbBr3. Experimentally, perovskite‐phase RbPbBr3 was realized through a dual‐source chemical vapor deposition and annealing process. These perovskite‐phase microspheres showed strong PL emission at about 464 nm. This new perovskite can serve as a gain medium and microcavity to achieve broadband (475–540 nm) single‐mode lasing with a high Q of about 2100.  相似文献

Halide double perovskites have recently emerged as a promising environmentally friendly optoelectronic and photovoltaic material for their inherent thermodynamic stability, high defect tolerance, and appropriate band gaps. However, to date, no ferroelectric material based on halide double perovskites has been discovered. Herein, by hetero‐substitution of lead and cation intercalation of n‐propylamine, the first halide double perovskite ferroelectric, (n‐propylammonium)2CsAgBiBr7 ( 1 ), is reported and it exhibits distinct ferroelectricity with a notable saturation polarization of about 1.5 μC cm?2. More importantly, single‐crystal photodetectors of 1 exhibit extraordinary performance with containing high on/off ratios of about 104, fast response rates of 141 μs, and detectivity as high as 5.3×1011 Jones. This finding opens a new way to design high‐performance perovskite ferroelectrics, and provides a viable approach in the search for stable and lead‐free optoelectronic materials as an alternative to the lead‐containing system.  相似文献

Piezoelectric materials are a class of important functional materials applied in high‐voltage sources, sensors, vibration reducers, actuators, motors, and so on. Herein, [(CH3)3S]3[Bi2Br9]( 1 ) is a brilliant semiconducting organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite‐type non‐ferroelectric piezoelectric with excellent piezoelectricity. Strikingly, the value of the piezoelectric coefficient d33 is estimated as ≈18 pC N?1. Such a large piezoelectric coefficient in non‐ferroelectric piezoelectric has been scarcely reported and is comparable with those of typically one‐composition non‐ferroelectric piezoelectrics such as ZnO (3pC N?1) and much greater than those of most known typical materials. In addition, 1 exhibits semiconducting behavior with an optical band gap of ≈2.58 eV that is lower than the reported value of 3.37 eV for ZnO. This discovery opens a new avenue to exploit molecular non‐ferroelectric piezoelectric and should stimulate further exploration of non‐ferroelectric piezoelectric due to their high stability and low loss characteristics.  相似文献

The unique optoelectronic properties and promising photovoltaic applications of organolead halide perovskites have driven the exploration of facile strategies to synthesize organometal halide perovskites and corresponding hybrid materials and devices. Currently, the preparation of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite nanowires, especially those with porous features, is still a great challenge. An efficient self‐template‐directed synthesis of high‐quality porous CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite nanowires in solution at room temperature using the Pb‐containing precursor nanowires as both the sacrificial template and the Pb2+ source in the presence of CH3NH3Br and HBr is now presented. The initial formation of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite layers on the surface of the precursor nanowires and the following dissolution of the organic component of the latter led to the formation of mesopores and the preservation of the 1D morphology. Furthermore, the perovskite nanowires are potential materials for visible‐light photodetectors with high sensitivity and stability.  相似文献

Low‐toxicity, air‐stable bismuth‐based perovskite materials are attractive substitutes for lead halide perovskites in photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices. The structural, optical, and electrical property changes of zero‐dimensional perovskite Cs3Bi2I9 resulting from lattice compression is presented. An emission enhancement under mild pressure is attributed to the increase in exciton binding energy. Unprecedented band gap narrowing originated from Bi?I bond contraction, and the decrease in bridging Bi‐I‐Bi angle enhances metal halide orbital overlap, thereby breaking through the Shockley–Queisser limit under relatively low pressure. Pressure‐induced structural evolutions correlate well with changes in optical properties, and the changes are reversible upon decompression. Considerable resistance reduction implies a semiconductor‐to‐conductor transition at ca. 28 GPa, and the final confirmed metallic character by electrical experiments indicates a wholly new electronic property.  相似文献

Perovskite‐type ferroelectrics composed of organometallic halides are emerging as a promising alternative to conventional photovoltaic devices because of their unique photovoltaic effects (PVEs). A new layered perovskite‐type photoferroelectric, bis(cyclohexylaminium) tetrabromo lead ( 1 ), is presented. The material exhibits an exceptional anisotropy of bulk PVEs. Upon photoexcitation, superior photovoltaic behaviors are created along its inorganic layers, which are composed of corner‐sharing PbBr6 octahedra. Semiconducting activity with remarkable photoconductivity is achieved in the vertical direction, showing sizeable on/off current ratios (>104), which compete with the most active photovoltaic material CH3NH3PbI3. In 1 the temperature‐dependence of photovoltage coincides fairly well with that of polarization, confirming the dominant role of ferroelectricity in such highly anisotropic PVEs. This finding sheds light on bulk PVEs in ferroelectric materials, and promotes their application in optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

The reduced dimension perovskite including 2D perovskites are one of the most promising strategies to stabilize lead halide perovskite. A mixed‐cation 2D perovskite based on a steric phenyltrimethylammonium (PTA) cation is presented. The PTA‐MA mixed‐cation 2D perovskite of PTAMAPbI4 can be formed on the surface of MAPbI3 (PTAI‐MAPbI3) by controllable PTAI intercalation by either spin coating or soaking. The PTAMAPbI4 capping layer can not only passivate PTAI‐MAPbI3 perovskite but also act as MA+ locker to inhibit MAI extraction and significantly enhance the stability. The highly stable PTAI‐MAPbI3 based perovskite solar cells exhibit a reproducible photovoltaic performance with a champion PCE of 21.16 %. Such unencapsulated devices retain 93 % of initial efficiency after 500 h continuous illumination. This steric mixed‐cation 2D perovskite as MA+ locker to stabilize the MAPbI3 is a promising strategy to design stable and high‐performance hybrid lead halide perovskites.  相似文献

Novel inorganic lead‐free double perovskites with improved stability are regarded as alternatives to state‐of‐art hybrid lead halide perovskites in photovoltaic devices. The recently discovered Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite exhibits attractive optical and electronic features, making it promising for various optoelectronic applications. However, its practical performance is hampered by the large band gap. In this work, remarkable band gap narrowing of Cs2AgBiBr6 is, for the first time, achieved on inorganic photovoltaic double perovskites through high pressure treatments. Moreover, the narrowed band gap is partially retainable after releasing pressure, promoting its optoelectronic applications. This work not only provides novel insights into the structure–property relationship in lead‐free double perovskites, but also offers new strategies for further development of advanced perovskite devices.  相似文献

Hybrid organic–inorganic lead halide perovskite APbX3 pigments, such as methylammonium lead iodide, have recently emerged as excellent light harvesters in solid‐state mesoscopic solar cells. An important target for the further improvement of the performance of perovskite‐based photovoltaics is to extend their optical‐absorption onset further into the red to enhance solar‐light harvesting. Herein, we show that this goal can be reached by using a mixture of formamidinium (HN=CHNH3+, FA) and methylammonium (CH3NH3+, MA) cations in the A position of the APbI3 perovskite structure. This combination leads to an enhanced short‐circuit current and thus superior devices to those based on only CH3NH3+. This concept has not been applied previously in perovskite‐based solar cells. It shows great potential as a versatile tool to tune the structural, electrical, and optoelectronic properties of the light‐harvesting materials.  相似文献

Following the Curie symmetry principle and Aizu rule, we discovered there is a centrosymmetric‐to‐noncentrosymmetric phase transition in Ca(NO3)2(15‐crown‐5) at Tc=205 K. The transition was confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry and second harmonic generation measurements. The transition gives rise to excellent ferroelectricity, such as a giant dielectric anomaly, with faster polarization switching (5×10?5 s) of up to 107 times without showing fatigue. The ferroelectric mechanism is attributable to the coordination environmental distortion of the central Ca atom. This finding can throw light on the further research in metal–organic ferroelectrics.  相似文献

Bi3+ and lanthanide ions have been codoped in metal oxides as optical sensitizers and emitters. But such codoping is not known in typical semiconductors such as Si, GaAs, and CdSe. Metal halide perovskite with coordination number 6 provides an opportunity to codope Bi3+ and lanthanide ions. Codoping of Bi3+ and Ln3+ (Ln=Er and Yb) in Cs2AgInCl6 double perovskite is presented. Bi3+‐Er3+ codoped Cs2AgInCl6 shows Er3+ f‐electron emission at 1540 nm (suitable for low‐loss optical communication). Bi3+ codoping decreases the excitation (absorption) energy, such that the samples can be excited with ca. 370 nm light. At that excitation, Bi3+‐Er3+ codoped Cs2AgInCl6 shows ca. 45 times higher emission intensity compared to the Er3+ doped Cs2AgInCl6. Similar results are also observed in Bi3+‐Yb3+ codoped sample emitting at 994 nm. A combination of temperature‐dependent (5.7 K to 423 K) photoluminescence and calculations is used to understand the optical sensitization and emission processes.  相似文献

A high‐performance 2D photodetector based on a bilayer structure comprising a WSe2 monolayer and CH3NH3PbI3 organolead halide perovskite is reported. High performance is realized by modification of the WSe2 monolayer with laser healing and perovskite functionalization. After modification, the output of the device was three orders of magnitude better than the pristine device; the performance is superior to that of most of the 2D photodetectors based on transition‐metal‐dichalcogenides (TMDs). This result indicates that combinatory TMDs–halide perovskite hybrids can be promising building blocks in optoelectronics.  相似文献

Recently, lead halide‐based perovskites have become one of the hottest topics in photovoltaic research because of their excellent optoelectronic properties. Among them, organic‐inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have made very rapid progress with their power conversion efficiency (PCE) now at 23.7 %. However, the intrinsically unstable nature of these materials, particularly to moisture and heat, may be a problem for their long‐term stability. Replacing the fragile organic group with more robust inorganic Cs+ cations forms the cesium lead halide system (CsPbX3, X is halide) as all‐inorganic perovskites which are much more thermally stable and often more stable to other factors. From the first report in 2015 to now, the PCE of CsPbX3‐based PSCs has abruptly increased from 2.9 % to 17.1 % with much enhanced stability. In this Review, we summarize the field up to now, propose solutions in terms of development bottlenecks, and attempt to boost further research in CsPbX3 PSCs.  相似文献

We report the development of a molecular ferroelectric material inspired by the hexamethylenetetramine (hmta) non‐centrosymmetric molecular rotator. The bromide salt of diprotonated hmta (hmtaH2) crystalized as (hmtaH2)(NH4)Br3 in a metal‐free ABX3 perovskite‐type structure, in which the A and B sites are occupied by hmtaH22+ and ammonium cations, respectively. The compound crystallized in the Pma2 polar space group. A distorted polar perovskite structure formed owing to the distortion of {(NH4)Br6} octahedrons that are stabilized through the formation of NH???Br hydrogen bonds and the orientational ordering of positive charges on the non‐centrosymmetric hmtaH2 molecules. This spontaneous polarization exhibited ferroelectric behavior with a nominally high Curie temperature (>400 K), in which the electrical switching of polarization originates from the rotation of the hmtaH2 unit.  相似文献

ABX3-type halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have been a hot topic recently due to their fascinating optoelectronic properties. It has been demonstrated that A-site ions have an impact on their photophysical and chemical properties, such as the optical band gap and chemical stability. The pursuit of halide perovskite materials with diverse A-site species would deepen the understanding of the structure–property relationship of the perovskite family. In this work we have attempted to synthesize rubidium-based perovskite NCs. We have discovered that the partial substitution of Rb+ by Cs+ help to stabilize the orthorhombic RbPbBr3 NCs at low temperature, which otherwise can only be obtained at high temperature. The inclusion of Cs+ into the RbPbBr3 lattice results in highly photoluminescent Rb1−xCsxPbBr3 NCs. With increasing amounts of Cs+, the band gaps of the Rb1−xCsxPbBr3 NCs decrease, leading to a redshift of the photoluminescence peak. Also, the Rb1−xCsxPbBr3 NCs (x=0.4) show good stability under ambient conditions. This work demonstrates the high structural flexibility and tunability of halide perovskite materials through an A-site cation substitution strategy and sheds light on the optimization of perovskite materials for application in high-performance optoelectronic devices.  相似文献
