Iron-nitride-coated iron microparticles were prepared by nitridation of the surface of iron microparticles with ammonia gas at a temperature of 510 °C. The phases, composition, morphology, magnetic properties, and chemical stability of the particles were studied. The phases were α-Fe, ε-Fe3N, and γ-Fe4N. The composition varied from the core to the surface, with 99.8 wt% Fe in the core, and 93.8 wt% Fe and 6 wt% N in the iron-nitride coating. The thickness of the iron-nitride coating was about 0.28 μm. The chemical stability of the microparticles was greatly improved, especially the corrosion resistance in corrosive aqueous media. The saturation magnetization and the coercive force were 17.1×103 and 68 kA/m, respectively. It can be concluded that iron-nitride-coated iron microparticles will be very useful in many fields, such as water-based magnetorheological fluids and polishing fluids.  相似文献

Using a semi-classical approach, Hood, Falicov and Penn have studied the effects of interfacial roughness on the magnetoresistance (MR) of iron based trilayers (Fe/Cr/Fe and Fe/Cu/Fe). We extend their theory to magnetic metallic multilayers composed of N bilayers ferromagnetic-normal metal. The in plane MR of Co/Cu multilayers is calculated for correlated quasiperiodic interfaces. The averaged effects due to impurities, interdiffusion, band structure, etc. are included in a simple way using two phenomenological parameters S and S for two directions of spin. MR variation with S, S and relaxation time is reported. We analyse also recent experimental data giving the influence of number of bilayers on the MR of Co/Cu multilayers for different temperatures.  相似文献

Mechanism of structure formation in bidispersed colloids is important for its physical and optical properties. It is microscopically observed that the mechanism of chain formation in magnetic nanofluid based magnetorheological (MR) fluid is quite different from that in the conventional MR fluid. Under the application of magnetic field the magnetic nanoparticles are filled inside the structural microcavities formed due to the association of large magnetic particles, and some of the magnetic nanoparticles are attached at the end of the chains formed by the large particles. The dipolar energy of the large particles in a magnetic nanofluid matrix becomes effective magnetic permeability (μeff) times smaller than that of the neutral medium. Inclusion of magnetic nanoparticles (∼10 nm) with large magnetic particles (∼3-5 μm) restricts the aggregation of large particles, which causes the field induced phase separation in MR fluids. Hence, nanofluid based MR fluids are more stable than conventional MR fluids, which subsequently increase their application potentiality.  相似文献

In this work, properties of a magnetorheological (MR) fluid, prepared by dispersing a mixture of two types of carbonyl iron powders (CIPs) of different sizes, in an ionic liquid (N,N-diethyl-N-methyl-N-(2-methoxyethyl) ammonium tetrafluoroborate) that is stable from 9 °C to ca. 300 °C, have been investigated. At first, the random packing density of the mixture was computed as function of mixing ratio of CIP, in order to find out the tendency of the variation. Next, several mixtures, all having the same weight, were prepared at various mixing ratios and dispersed in the ionic liquid, in order to experimentally find the most suitable mixing ratio of CIP. Then, the magnetic clusters of the synthesized MR fluids were observed by using a digital microscope equipped with two permanent magnets, whereas the MR properties were investigated by using a rotation viscometer equipped with a solenoid coil. The experimental results pointed out that the MR fluid with 60 wt% fraction of large particles exhibited the highest MR response.  相似文献

Reduction of Se(VI) to Se(-II) by zerovalent iron nanoparticle suspensions   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The reaction of selenate (Se(VI)) with zerovalent iron nanoparticles (nano Fe0) was studied using both conventional batch equilibrium and X-ray spectroscopic techniques. Nano Fe0 has a high uptake capacity for removal of dissolved Se(VI) reaching concentrations as high as 0.10 Se:Fe molar ratio in the solid product mixture. Kinetic studies of the Se(VI) uptake reaction in batch experiments showed an initial reaction rate (0–30 min) of 0.0364 min?1 which was four times greater than conventional Fe0 powder. Analysis of the oxidation state of Se in the solid products by X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy showed evidence for the reduction of Se(VI) to insoluble selenide (Se(-II)) species. Structural analysis of the product by extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy suggested that Se(-II) was associated with nano Fe0 oxidation products as a poorly ordered iron selenide (FeSe) compound. The fitted first shell Se–Fe interatomic distance of 2.402 (±0.004) Å matched closely with previous studies of the products of Se(IV)-treated Fe(II)-clays and zero-valent iron/iron carbide (Fe/Fe3C). The poorly ordered FeSe product was associated with Fe0 corrosion product phases such as crystalline magnetite (Fe3O4) and Fe(III) oxyhydroxide. The results of this investigation suggest that nano Fe0 is a strong reducing agent capable of efficient reduction of soluble Se oxyanions to insoluble Se(-II).  相似文献

Magnetorheological (MR) fluid, suspension of magnetic carbonyl iron (CI) and magnetic additives in mineral oil, were prepared. The novel core–shell structured additives, comprising monodisperse polystyrene (PS) spheres as cores and magnetite as shells, were fabricated by surfactant-free emulsion polymerization. This MR fluid with bimodal particles was suspended in mineral oil and their MR characteristics were examined via a rotational rheometer in a parallel plate geometry equipped with a magnetic field supplier. MR properties of the bimodal MR fluid with magnetic additive exhibit similar magnetic and MR properties compared to MR fluid consisting of pristine CI, but with much improved dispersion stability.  相似文献

We systematically study medium‐range structures including more than three neighboring atoms around iron ions (Fe2+ and Fe3+) in soda‐lime glass samples with low iron oxide concentrations (MFe2O3) and a wide number ratio of Fe2+ to all iron ions (Fe2+nFe). The precise medium‐range structures around iron ions in glass have not yet been revealed because of a lack of the appropriate measurement methods. To avoid this problem, we used element‐specific nuclear resonant inelastic scattering (NRIS) with synchrotron X‐rays to observe the vibrations of iron ions (57Fe). The vibrations are related to medium‐range structures with more than three neighboring atoms and to the potential asymmetry and the coordination environment, around iron ions. The NRIS method has high sensitivity and can measure over a wide concentration range. Linear combination fitting of the X‐ray absorption fine structure spectra, which measures only the first neighbors but is a faster than using the NRIS method, was also used additionally. A systematically produced set of glasses with 0.015–5 wt% MFe2O3 and 0–0.85 Fe2+nFe was measured with these methods. It was found that the soda‐lime glass possessed two different medium‐range structures with different iron ion valences (~2+ or ~3+), which were determined by the Fe2+nFe, and that these structures were generated during production of the glass. Moreover, these medium‐range structures were the same from 0.015 to 5 wt% MFe2O3.  相似文献

利用智能材料之一的磁流变液 (MRfluids)作为加工工具对光学玻璃进行了精密抛光加工。讨论了适用于光学玻璃抛光的磁流变液的配制机理及磁流变液对光学玻璃抛光效果的影响因素。针对光学玻璃磁流变的抛光原理和特点 ,开发配制了适合于光学玻璃加工用的磁流变液 ,并用该磁流变液对光学玻璃进行了实验加工。结果表明 ,最终得到的光学玻璃表面经过AFM测试 ,得到Ra =1 0 1 5nm。  相似文献

Mechanisms on the oxidation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and aniline by ferrate(VI) (FeVIO $_{4}{^{2-}}$ , Fe(VI)) in alkaline medium suggested the formation of Fe(VI)-SMX or Fe(VI)-aniline intermediates, respectively. Fe(V) and Fe(IV) as other intermediate iron species have also been proposed in the mechanism. In this paper, rapid freeze Mössbauer spectroscopy was applied in rapidly frozen samples to explore intermediate iron species in the reactions of SMX and aniline with Fe(VI). In both reactions, Fe(VI)-SMX and Fe(VI)-aniline intermediates were not seen in second-minute time scale. Fe(V) and Fe(IV) were also not observed. Fe(III) was the only final species of the reactions.  相似文献

In this study, a magnetorheological (MR) fluid is prepared using carbonyl iron filings and low viscosity lubricating oil. The effects of magnetic field and weight percentage of particles on the viscosity of the MR fluid have been measured using a rotational viscometer. The yield stress under an applied magnetic field was also obtained experimentally. In the absence of an applied magnetic field, the MR fluid behaves as a Newtonian fluid. When the magnetic field is applied, the MR fluid behaves like Bingham plastics with a magnetic field dependent yield stress. Afterward, the results compared with those of CFD simulation of two eccentric cylinders in the MR fluid. Results show that the influences of MR effects, caused by the applied magnetic field, on the model characteristics are significant and not negligible. The viscosity is enhanced by increasing of the magnetic field, eccentricity ratio and weight percentage of suspensions. The MR effects and increasing of weight percentage and eccentricity ratio also provide an enhancement in the yield stresses and required total torque for rotation of inner cylinder. Also the simulation results indicate a good representation of the experiment by the model.  相似文献

Pure iron is a potential material applying for coronary artery stents based on its biocorrodible and nontoxic properties. However, the degradation characteristics of pure iron in vivo could reduce the mechanical stability of iron stents prematurely. The purpose of this work was to implant the lanthanum ion into pure iron specimens by metal vapor vacuum arc (MEVVA) source at an extracted voltage of 40 kV to improve its corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. The implanted fluence was up to 5 × 1017 ions/cm2. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to characterize the chemical state and depth profiles of La, Fe and O elements. The results showed lanthanum existed in the +3 oxidation state in the surface layer, most of the oxygen combined with lanthanum and form a layer of oxides. The lanthanum ion implantation layer could effectively hold back iron ions into the immersed solution and obviously improved the corrosion resistance of pure iron in simulated body fluids (SBF) solution by the electrochemical measurements and static immersion tests. The systematic evaluation of blood compatibility, including in vitro platelets adhesion, prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), indicated that the number of platelets adhesion, activation, aggregation and pseudopodium on the surface of the La-implanted samples were remarkably decreased compared with pure iron and 316L stainless steel, the PT and TT were almost the same as the original plasma. It was obviously showed that lanthanum ion implantation could effectively improve the corrosion resistance and blood compatibility of pure iron.  相似文献

In this paper, the ultrasound-assisted leaching of iron from boron carbide waste-scrap was investigated and the optimization of different influencing factors had also been performed. The factors investigated were acid concentration, liquid-solid ratio, leaching temperature, ultrasonic power and frequency. The leaching of iron with conventional method at various temperatures was also performed. The results show the maximum iron leaching ratios are 87.4%, 94.5% for 80 min-leaching with conventional method and 50 min-leaching with ultrasound assistance, respectively. The leaching of waste-scrap with conventional method fits the chemical reaction-controlled model. The leaching with ultrasound assistance fits chemical reaction-controlled model, diffusion-controlled model for the first stage and second stage, respectively. The assistance of ultrasound can greatly improve the iron leaching ratio, accelerate the leaching rate, shorten leaching time and lower the residual iron, comparing with conventional method. The advantages of ultrasound-assisted leaching were also confirmed by the SEM-EDS analysis and elemental analysis of the raw material and leached solid samples.  相似文献

The iron phosphonates, tris (methyl methylphosphonate) iron (III) [Fe(MMP)3]; tris (ethylphosphonate) iron (III) [Fe(EEP)3]; and tris (isopropyl methylphosphonate) iron (III) [Fe(EEP)3]; have been obtained and studied previously by infrared spectroscopy and elemental analysis.1 The infrared obsorption spectra of the iron phosphonate compounds exhibited bands which could be assigned to functional groups of the phosphonate ligand; however, the role played by the iron atom in the molecule was unknown. In the present article, the results of Mössbauereffect spectroscopy are used to provide evidence for the interaction of the iron with the phosphonate esters.  相似文献

准确获取流体包裹体中盐的类型一直是包裹体研究的重要问题。采用原位低温拉曼光谱技术对民丰洼陷深部天然气储层流体包裹体进行了分析。常温拉曼光谱综合分析表明,包裹体中流体为含甲烷的盐水溶液。在—180℃下对包裹体进行了原位低温拉曼光谱分析,结果显示包裹体中含有NaCl,CaCl_2,MgCl_2等盐类,其中以NaCl为主,CaCl_2含量很少,MgCl_2含量极少。根据沉积成岩过程分析了包裹体中流体的成因,解释了储层成岩作用的机理。研究结果表明,原位低温拉曼光谱是获取储层包裹体中流体性质的一种有效方法。在包裹体原位低温拉曼光谱分析技术基础上,结合沉积成岩过程,可以给储层的成岩作用类型和成岩反应机理给出重要证据。  相似文献

The structural, magnetic and transport properties of sputtered Fe/Si multilayers were studied. The analyses of the data of the X-ray diffraction, resistance and magnetic measurements show that heavy atomic interdiffusion between Fe and Si occurs, resulting in multilayers of different complicated structures according to different sublayer thicknesses. The nominal Fe layers in the multilayers generally consist of Fe layers doped with Si, ferromagnetic Fe-Si silicide layers and nonmagnetic Fe-Si silicide interface layers, while the nominal Si spacers turn out to be Fe-Si compound layers with additional amorphous Si sublayers only under the condition either for the series or for the series multilayers. A strong antiferromagnetic (AFM) coupling and negative magnetoresistance (MR) effect, about 1%, were observed only in multilayers with iron silicide spacers and disappeared when -Si layers appear in the spacers. The dependences of MR on and on bilayer numbers N resemble the dependence of AFM coupling. The increase of MR ratio with increasing N is mainly attributed to the improvement of AFM coupling for multilayers with N. The dependence of MR ratio is similar to that in metal/metal system with predominant bulk spin dependent scattering and is fitted by a phenomenological formula for GMR. At 77 K both the MR effect and saturation field increase. All these facts suggest that the mechanisms of the AFM coupling and MR effect in sputtered Fe/Si multilayers are similar to those in metal/metal system. Thin layers of57Fe (2.5 nm, 10 nm and 70 nm thickness), vacuum evaporated onto Al and Si plates, have been investigated by conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy (CEMS). The measurements were performed employing both a proportional counter and a channeltron for conventional and ultrahigh-vacuum integral CEMS (UHV-ICEMS) studies, respectively, and a channeltron for depth-selective CEMS (DCEMS). The phase analysis of the layers on base of experimental results has indicated the presence of metallic iron and one or two iron compounds, ascribed to iron reaction products formed with the residual gas during evaporation. These products are most likely rather stable iron nitrides, are more or less clustered and are distributed throughout the whole layer.  相似文献

T 1 maps of phantoms containing the samples of pure serum or Mn(II)-doped serum at pH=2 were imaged by 1.5 T and 1 T MR Imagers. TheT 1 measurements made for the determination of the paramagnetic increase were carried out before and after adding ascorbic acid. The difference of the 1/T 1 in samples with and without ascorbic acid was evaluated as the paramagnetic contribution (PMC) of serum iron. As iron content of serum varied from iron deficient to iron overload, the PMC values increased from 0.93 to 0.565 s?1 at 1.5 T and from 0.103 to 0.609 s?1 at 1 T. For confirmative purposes, serum iron of each sample was determined from the paramagnetic contribution and also by an autoanalyzer. The contents of serum iron determined from PMC were in good agreement with those by the autoanalyzer and also with the literature. The data suggest that the paramagnetic contribution of serum iron can be measured by MRI.  相似文献

We have synthesized a surface functionalized superparamagnetic iron oxide colloid whose clearance from the vascular compartment was inhibited by asialofetuin but not fetuin. Unlike other particulate or colloidal magnetic resonance (MR) contrast agents, the agent of the current communication is not withdrawn from the vascular compartment by cells of the macrophage-monocyte phagocytic system, as indicated by its selective increase in hepatic relaxation rates. Because of this we refer to this colloid as a hepatic selective (HS) MR contrast agent. At 20 mumol Fe/kg the HS MR agent darkened MR images of liver. The HS MR agent exhibited no acute toxicity when injected into rats at 1800 mumol Fe/kg. Based on these observations, surface functionalized superparamagnetic iron oxide colloids may be the basis of MR contrast agents internalized by receptor mediated endocytosis generally, and by the asialoglycoprotein receptor in particular.  相似文献

在矩形裂缝通道中,应用高速摄像技术,研究了复杂流体压裂液水平流动过程中砂粒的沉降速度,测试了复杂流体的流变学特性,分析了复杂流体的水平流动如何影响砂粒的沉降.研究结果表明,流性指数不等于1的复杂流体,其水平流速影响砂粒的沉降规律,砂粒在裂缝中水平流动过程的沉降速度不仅随复杂流体表观粘度的减小而增大,同时随复杂流体水平流速的增大而增大,是静止沉降速度的数倍至十数倍.  相似文献
