In this paper, by using the scalarization approach of Konnov, several kinds of strong and weak scalar variational inequalities (SVI and WVI) are introduced for studying strong and weak vector variational inequalities (SVVI and WVVI) with set-valued mappings, and their gap functions are suggested. The equivalence among SVVI, WVVI, SVI, WVI is then established under suitable conditions and the relations among their gap functions are analyzed. These results are finally applied to the error bounds for gap functions. Some existence theorems of global error bounds for gap functions are obtained under strong monotonicity and several characterizations of global (respectively local) error bounds for the gap functions are derived.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce two new classes of generalized monotone set-valued maps, namely relaxed μ–p monotone and relaxed μ–p pseudomonotone. Relations of these classes with some other well-known classes of generalized monotone maps are investigated. Employing these new notions, we derive existence and well-posedness results for a set-valued variational inequality problem. Our results generalize some of the well-known results. A gap function is proposed for the variational inequality problem and a lower error bound is obtained under the assumption of relaxed μ–p pseudomonotonicity. An equivalence relation between the well-posedness of the variational inequality problem and that of a related optimization problem pertaining to the gap function is also presented.  相似文献

This paper concerns with the study of a differential variational–hemivariational inequality (DVHVI, for short) in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. We first introduce the new concept of gap functions for the variational control system of (DVHVI). Then, we consider two kinds of gap functions which are regularized gap function and Moreau–Yosida regularized gap function, respectively, and examine the relevant properties of the gap functions. Moreover, two global error bounds which depend implicitly on the regularized gap function and the Moreau–Yosida regularized gap function, accordingly, are obtained. Finally, in order to illustrate the applicability of the theoretical results, we investigate a coupled dynamic system which is formulated by a nonlinear reaction–diffusion equation described by a time-dependent nonsmooth semipermeability problem.  相似文献

The paper aims to obtain new local/global error bounds for quasi variational inequality problems in terms of the regularized gap function and the D-gap function. These bounds provide effective estimated distances between a specific point and the exact solution of quasi variational inequality problem.  相似文献

We consider weak sharp solutions for the generalized variational inequality problem, in which the underlying mapping is set-valued, and not necessarily monotone. We extend the concept of weak sharpness to this more general framework, and establish some of its characterizations. We establish connections between weak sharpness and (1) gap functions for variational inequalities, and (2) global error bound. When the solution set is weak sharp, we prove finite convergence of the sequence generated by an arbitrary algorithm, for the monotone set-valued case, as well as for the case in which the underlying set-valued map is either Lipschitz continuous in the set-valued sense, for infinite dimensional spaces, or inner-semicontinuous when the space is finite dimensional.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of split mixed vector quasivariational inequality problems in real Hilbert spaces and establish new gap functions by using the method of the nonlinear scalarization function. Further, we obtain some error bounds for the underlying split mixed vector quasivariational inequality problems in terms of regularized gap functions. Finally, we give some examples to illustrate our results. The results obtained in this paper are new.  相似文献

The D-gap function, recently introduced by Peng and further studied by Yamashita et al., allows a smooth unconstrained minimization reformulation of the general variational inequality problem. This paper is concerned with the D-gap function for variational inequality problems over a box or, equivalently, mixed complementarity problems. The purpose of this paper is twofold. First we investigate theoretical properties in depth of the D-gap function, such as the optimality of stationary points, bounded level sets, global error bounds and generalized Hessians. Next we present a nonsmooth Gauss-Newton type algorithm for minimizing the D-gap function, and report extensive numerical results for the whole set of problems in the MCPLIB test problem collection. In this paper, we introduce and investigate a constrained mixed set-valued variational inequality (MSVI) in Hilbert spaces. We prove the solution set of the constrained MSVI is a singleton under strict monotonicity. We also propose four merit functions for the constrained MSVI, that is, the natural residual, gap function, regularized gap function and D-gap function. We further use these functions to obtain error bounds, i.e. upper estimates for the distance to solutions of the constrained MSVI under strong monotonicity and Lipschitz continuity. The approach exploited in this paper is based on the generalized f-projection operator due to Wu and Huang, but not the well-known proximal mapping.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a class of differentiable gap functions in order to formulate a generalized variational inequality (GVI) problem, involving a set-valued map with closed and convex graph, as an optimization problem. We also show that under appropriate assumptions on the set-valued map, any stationary point of the equivalent optimization problem is a global optimal solution and solves the GVI. Finally, we describe descent methods for solving the optimization problem equivalent to the GVI and we prove its global convergence.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce four new types of the system of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems with set-valued maps which include system of vector quasi-equilibrium problems, system of vector equilibrium problems, system of variational inequality problems, and vector equilibrium problems in the literature as special cases. We prove the existence of solutions for such kinds of system of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems. Consequently, we derive some existence results of a solution for the system of vector quasi-equilibrium problems and the generalized Debreu type equilibrium problem for vector-valued functions.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to extend the so-called perturbation approach in order to deal with conjugate duality for constrained vector optimization problems. To this end we use two conjugacy notions introduced in the past in the literature in the framework of set-valued optimization. As a particular case we consider a vector variational inequality which we rewrite in the form of a vector optimization problem. The conjugate vector duals introduced in the first part allow us to introduce new gap functions for the vector variational inequality. The properties in the definition of the gap functions are verified by using the weak and strong duality theorems.  相似文献

The system of generalized vector equilibrium problems with applications   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8
In this paper, we introduce the system of generalized vector equilibrium problems which includes as special cases the system of generalized implicit vector variational inequality problems, the system of generalized vector variational and variational-like inequality problems and the system of vector equilibrium problems. By using a maximal element theorem, we establish existence results for a solution of these systems. As an application, we derive existence results for a solution of a more general Nash equilibrium problem for vector-valued functions.  相似文献

In this paper, the image space analysis is applied to investigate scalar-valued gap functions and their applications for a (parametric)-constrained vector variational inequality. Firstly, using a non-linear regular weak separation function in image space, a gap function of a constrained vector variational inequality is obtained without any assumptions. Then, as an application of the gap function, two error bounds for the constrained vector variational inequality are derived by means of the gap function under some mild assumptions. Further, a parametric gap function of a parametric constrained vector variational inequality is presented. As an application of the parametric gap function, a sufficient condition for the continuity of the solution map of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality is established within the continuity and strict convexity of the parametric gap function. These assumptions do not include any information on the solution set of the parametric constrained vector variational inequality.  相似文献

A new method for obtaining computable estimates for the difference between exact solutions of elliptic variational inequalities and arbitrary functions in the respective energy space is suggested. The estimates are obtained by transforming the corresponding variational inequality without the use of variational duality arguments. These estimates are valid for any function in the energy class and contain no constants depending on the mesh used to find an approximate solution. This method for linear elliptic and parabolic problems was earlier suggested by the author. The guaranteed error bounds we derive can be of two types. Estimates of the first type contain only one global constant, which is a constant in the Friedrichs type inequality. Estimates of the second type are based on the decomposition of Ω into convex subdomains and the Payne–Weinberger inequalities for these subdomains. Bibliography: 20 titles. We study the Clarke–Rockafellar directional derivatives of the regularized gap functions (and of some modified ones) for the variational inequality problem (VIP) defined by a locally Lipschitz but not necessarily differentiable function on a closed convex set in an Euclidean space. As applications we show that, under the strong monotonicity assumption, the regularized gap functions have fractional exponent error bounds and consequently that the sequences provided by an algorithm of Armijo type converge to the solution of the (VIP). We investigate whether some merit functions for variational inequality problems (VIP) provide error bounds for the underlying VIP. Under the condition that the involved mapping F is strongly monotone, but not necessarily Lipschitz continuous, we prove that the so-called regularized gap function provides an error bound for the underlying VIP. We give also an example showing that the so-called D-gap function might not provide error bounds for a strongly monotone VIP.This research was supported by United College and by a direct grant of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Under the condition that the involved function F is locally Lipschitz, but not necessarily differentiable, we investigate the regularized gap function defined by a generalized distance function for the variational inequality problem (VIP). First, we compute exactly the Clarke-Rockafellar directional derivatives of the regularized gap functions (and of some modified ones). Second, using these results, we show that, under the strongly monotonicity assumption, the regularized gap functions have fractional exponent error bounds, and thereby we provide an algorithm of Armijo type to solve the VIP.  相似文献

In this paper, we give two versions of Ky Fan's inequality for set-valued maps acting between normed vector spaces and we consider sufficient conditions to solve a variational inclusion problem concerning derivatives of set-valued maps. A selection result for set-valued maps between finite dimensional vector spaces and its contingent derivative is obtained as well; from this result we derive some conditions for the existence of a solution of a generalized variational inequality problem.  相似文献
