In this paper, aiming at practical dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system with ultralong fiber span, a simple co-fiber remotely pumped erbium-doped fiber amplifier (RP-EDFA) scheme is proposed to extend span distance with simple configuration and low pump power. Equivalent noise figure of -6 dB is achieved under 300-mW pump power. Using the experiment results, numerical simulation of ultra-long span systems shows that for a 40 × 11.6-Gb/s transmission system, the RP-EDFA scheme can support transmission of 1760 km with a fiber span of 160 km. These results demonstrate the potential of the PR-EDFA scheme in ultra-long span transmission. 相似文献

对一种基于马赫-曾德尔和萨格纳克混合干涉仪原理的分布式光纤泄漏检测系统调制解调技术进行研究,对PGC解调技术进行理论分析。针对所选泄漏分布式光纤传感特点设计了PGC解调硬件电路,并对PGC解调电路进行了测试。实验中待测信号为0~50 kHz,载波频率为300 kHz,截止频率为50 kHz, 移相后与待测信号的相关系数达到0.95,谐波失真小于3%,泄漏源位置为7.865 km,泄漏检测定位系统绝对定位误差为235 m,相对定位误差为2.35%。本解调定位系统具有稳定性和抗干扰性。 相似文献

The mobile Rayleigh Doppler lidar based on a Fabry–Perot etalon is developed for wind measurement. The structure and technical parameters of this lidar system are described in brief. The 1740 wind profiles from 8 to 40 km altitudes by the lidar in Xinjiang, China, were obtained in 2010 and 2011, and were used to analyze the characteristics and variations of wind. The results shown that the wind velocity is within a three-layer structure: westerly jet layer (9–14 km), quasi-zero velocity layer (18–22 km) and gale layer (22–40 km). In August and September, the wind direction is within a three-layer structure: zonal westerly wind layer (5–18 km) where wind direction is west, zonal wind reverse layer (18–22 km) where wind direction is unstable and easterly wind layer (22–40 km) where wind direction is east. In October, wind direction is west (8–40 km). Wind observations by lidar are a realistic offset to the rawins. 相似文献

We propose and simulate a novel full-duplex radio-over-fiber system using a single light source at central station (CS). The scheme is employed to generate 60-GHz optical millimeter wave at CS for down-link transmission while the same optical carrier is reused at base station for up-link connection. There is no additional laser source for the upstream data generation in the base station. The bidirectional full-duplex 2.5 Gb/s data are successfully transmitted over 40 km standard single-mode fiber (SMF). The power penalty for the down-link data after transmission over 40 km SMF is less than 0.6 dB, while for the up-link data, the power penalty after transmission over 40 km SMF is neglected. This system shows good performance over long-distance delivery and has important applicable value in high radio frequency (RF) sector and multi-channel full-duplex system. 相似文献

An experiment of laser propagation was carried out at the urban terrain range of 3.5 km during the period of March to May of 2006. The received intensity scintillations and atmosphere turbulence strength in complex urban atmosphere circumstance were simultaneously measured concentratively. The results show the statistical characteristics of irradiance scintillation and atmosphere turbulence strength and link fade margin for urban free-space optical links. 相似文献
