In view of obtaining some potential antimicrobial compounds, we have described synthesis of novel fluoroquinolones bearing 2‐(piperidin‐4‐yl)‐1H‐benzo[d]imidazole and evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. Alternatively, synthesis of these products was also demonstrated using microwave irradiation technique. The antimicrobial activity of newly synthesized compounds was evaluated against number of microorganisms and the activity is compared with highly active levofloxacin.  相似文献

A new series of chromene based 1,2,3-triazole derivatives has been synthesized by incorporating biologically active heterocyclic rings containing chromene and triazole moieties in one molecular structure. All newly synthesized compounds are characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, mass, and IR spectra. The title compounds are tested for their activity against different bacterial and fungal strains, and antioxidant activity. Several compounds are determined to be potent antimicrobial and antioxidant agents.

Abstract

A series of new hydrazones bearing pyridyl and thiazolyl scaffolds have been synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro anticancer and antimicrobial activities. The anticancer activity was evaluated against the A549 lung cancer cell line. The eight hydrazone derivatives have shown better anticancer activity than positive control doxorubicin against the A549 lung cancer cell line. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated against bacterial and fungal pathogens by using well diffusion method. The four hydrazone derivatives have displayed good antimicrobial activities. Molecular docking studies of the synthesized hydrazone derivatives revealed good binding via hydrogen bond interactions with key residues on active sites as well as neighboring residues with an active site of Focal adhesion kinase (PDB ID 2JKO). A computational study for the prediction of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties of all compounds has also been performed.  相似文献

A series of 10 p-substitutedbenzoylmethylene hydrazide derivatives 4a-j were synthesized by protecting carboxylic group of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid using methanol and sulfuric acid than reacting it with hydrazide to form 4-hydroxybenzohydrazide followed by reacting with a variety of aldehydes and evaluated for their activity against nosocomial infection. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and mass spectral data. The in vitro antimicrobial potential of synthesized compounds was estimated against prominent strains of nosocomial pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Aspergillus niger). The antimicrobial evaluation revealed compounds 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , and 4j to be the most active compounds of the series with IC50 value for antibacterial in the range 0.39 to 0.75 μM/mL. Furthermore, the in vitro cytotoxic potential of the compounds was appraised by hemolytic assay. The results showed that some of the synthesized compounds exhibited marked activity.  相似文献

A new series of 1H-pyrazole derivatives 5a-j bearing an aryl sulfonate moiety have been synthesized by a one-pot cyclo-condensation reaction of 2-(3-(dimethylamino)acryloyl)phenyl-4-methyl benzene sulfonates 4a-e and hydrazine hydrate or phenyl hydrazine in ethanol under reflux conditions.Some of the newly synthesized compounds were screened for their anti-inflammatory activity.All synthesized compounds were screened against Gram positive and Gram negative bacterial and fungal strains.The compound 5b was found to be a potent anti-inflammatory agent while the majority of the compounds were found to be active against microbial strains.  相似文献

In view of potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities exhibited by 5-substituted imidazolones, a variety of novel imidazolone analogs 3a-l were synthesized by the condensation of different substituted oxazolones 1 with various aromatic amines 2. All the synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro activities against a panel of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and the yeast-like pathogenic fungus Candida albicans. Several analogs produced good or moderate activities particularly against the tested Gram-positive bacteria Micrococcus luteus and Gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and. Meanwhile, compounds 3b and 3c displayed marked antifungal activity against C. albicans. In addition, the in vivo anti-inflammatory activity of the synthesized compounds was determined using the carrageenin-induced paw oedema method in rats. Two of 5-substituted imidazolone derivatives, 3k and 3d show good anti-inflammatory activity. The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were elucidated using IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR.  相似文献

A series of bis-isoxazoles blended chalcones 7a–7j are synthesized in high yields. The combination of three pharmacologically active moieties in a single scaffold results in the synergistic effect in their bioactivity. All the newly synthesized compounds are characterized by IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy. The target compounds 7a–7j are assessed for their antimicrobial activity and these demonstrate high to excellent activity against tested bacterial and fungal strains. The products 7f, 7h, 7j, and 7i demonstrate potent antimicrobial activity at concentrations 75 and 100 μg/mL.

A new series of N-arylquinoline derivatives 5a-x bearing 2-morpholinoquinoline moiety has been synthesized by one pot base catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction of 2-morpholinoquinoline-3-carbaldehydes 2a-c,malononitrile 3 andβ-enaminones 4a-h. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against six bacterial pathogens,namely Streptococcus pneumoniae,Clostridium tetani,Bacillus subtilis,Salmonella typhi,Vibrio cholerae,Escherichia coli and against two fungal pathogens,Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans using broth microdilution MIC method.Of the compounds studied,majority of the compounds were found to active against C.tetani,B.subtilis and C.albicans as compared to first-line standard drugs.  相似文献

A new series of pyrido[1,2-α]benzimidazole derivatives bearing the aryloxypyrazole nucleus have been synthesized by base-catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction through multi-component reaction(MCR) approach.All the synthesized compounds were investigated against a representative panel of pathogenic strains using broth microdilution minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) method for their in vitro antimicrobial activity.Reviewing the data,majority of the compounds were found to be active against employed pathogens.SAR study explores that antimicrobial activity is strongly depends on the nature of the substituents at the ether linked aryl ring attached to the pyrazole unit,together with the substituent present on the C5 of the benzimidazole unit.  相似文献

A novel series of 1,2,3-triazole-benzimidazolidinone hybrid derivatives were designed and synthesized via click reaction, between various aryl azide and a terminal alkyne bearing a benzimidazolidinone moiety. All newly synthesized compounds, were efficiently characterized using 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. Furthermore, the structure of one precursor 5b was supported by single crystal X-ray diffraction. All synthesized derivatives have been evaluated for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities. Biological activity tests exhibited that the target structures demonstrate that compounds 5a, 5b and 5f have a high antibacterial activity especially derivative 5b. Besides, the in vitro antifungal results revealed that the strongest inhibition recorded to compound 5b in comparison to other products against A. brasiliensis, A. fumigatus and C. albicans. Biological activity evaluation indicated that the synthesized compounds possess moderate anti-inflammatory effects. The most effective compound in terms of efficacy and potency was 5a. Molecular docking simulation was used to investigate the most active compounds' probable binding mechanisms in order to provide a plausible explanation for their biological activity.  相似文献

In the present study, a series of new isoniazid-1,2,3-triazole conjugates ( 5a-k ) was synthesized via click chemistry approach. The newly synthesized compounds were assessed for their in vitro antitubercular and antimicrobial activities. The compound 5g has displayed potent antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (Mtb) with MIC value 1.56 μg/mL. The active compounds were screened for their cytotoxicity profile by MTT assay against RAW 264.7 cell line. The four compounds have shown good in vitro antimicrobial activities against both antibacterial and antifungal pathogens. A molecular docking study was accomplished to identify the probable mode of action of synthesized derivatives. These compounds have shown excellent binding affinity toward Enoyl-acp reductase (INHA) and DNA gyrase.  相似文献

A series of new coumarin derivatives has been synthesized by condensation of 4-chloro-3-nitrocoumarin and the appropriate arylamine and sulfonamide in ethyl acetate in the presence of triethylamine. The synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against thirteen strains of bacteria and three fungal/yeast strains using disk diffusion assays. They were shown to possess a wide range of activities from almost completely inactive compounds to medium active ones. (4-[(5-Chloropyridin-2-yl)amino]-3-nitro-2H-chromen-2-one) showed similar activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae as tetracycline.  相似文献

The major diseases spread in the environment only because of microbes. Even, intensive care units in the hospitals are polluted by microorganisms, particularly, Gram-positive bacteria. Although many antibiotics are existed, there is a need to develop up to date microbial-resistant agents. Hence, the current study aimed to develop prominent antimicrobial drug-related compounds. Thus, a novel series of tri-substituted analogs and their intermediates were synthesized. In addition, total new compounds were screened for their antimicrobial assay and identified as the most efficient biologically active compounds. Moreover, minimal inhibitory antimicrobial activity and appropriate structure activity relationships were investigated. From the results it was observed that, viability of Gram-positive bacteria was most powerfully affected by all active compounds. Finally, this research demonstrated that, these biologically energetic amalgams can be utilized for further preclinical studies with the ambition of standing unique inventive drugs.  相似文献

A series of molecules containing acetylphenoxymethyl, triazole, and N‐phenylacetamide moieties were synthesized via the click chemistry approach. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities in vitro. The synthesized compounds 8a , 8b , 8m , and 8n showed better activities. We further performed exploratory docking studies to gain some insight regarding the molecular mechanism of antibacterial action of these compounds that could guide further structure‐activity relationship (SAR) studies. We examined the interaction of the most active compound with DNA gyrase (pdb id:1KZN). Based on antimicrobial and docking studies, the compounds 8a , 8b , 8m , and 8n were identified as potential antimicrobial agents.  相似文献

A newly synthesized series of chalcone derivatives containing pyrazole rings were synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxic activities in vitro against several human cancer cell lines. Most of the prepared compounds showed potential cytotoxicity against human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7, HEPG-2, and HCT-116. Also the compounds were evaluated as antimicrobial agents. The three compounds 3, 4, and 5 were proved to be better anticancer agents than the positive standard doxorubicin with IC50 values (4.7, 4.4, and 3.9???g/ml) against the same human cancer cell lines, whereas compounds 5 and 6 showed the most active antimicrobial compounds in comparison to the other chalcones.  相似文献

In this study, a new series of (4-(2,7-dichloro-9H-fluoren-4-yl)thiazol-yl)acetamide derivatives was synthesized, and the new heterocycles were completely characterized, evaluated for their antimicrobial activity, and screened for cytotoxic activity against human lung carcinoma (A-549) and human breast carcinoma (MCF-7) cell lines. A molecular docking study was undertaken to identify the possible mode of action of the synthesized compounds, which suggested binding interactions with the dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) active sites.Most of the synthesized compounds displayed meaningful activity against A-549 and MCF-7 cell lines when compared to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which was used as a reference drug. Furthermore, some of the prepared compounds exhibited potent antibacterial and antifungal activities. The highly pronounced biological activities of the compounds under investigation offer such species as promising future drug prospects which may find applications in the fields of biological and medicinal sciences.  相似文献

The reaction of 4‐thiochromane thiocarbohydrazone with a series of hydrazonoyl halides in dioxane in the presence of triethylamine afforded novel thiochromane derivatives incorporating 1,3‐thiazole moiety. The structure of the latter compounds was established by elemental analysis and spectral technique and by their chemical transformation. Moreover, the antimicrobial activity of the newly synthesized compounds was screened and the results showed that some compounds have higher activity than the applied fungicide and bactericide. A series of 2-pyrazolines was prepared in a reaction of quinolinylchalcones with phenyl hydrazine under both conventional and microwave-induced heating. Structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic data and CHN analyses. All prepared compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity against bacterial strains, viz. Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhii, Escherichia coli, and Shigella dysentery. The synthesis of some novel alkyl/aryl substituted tertiary alcohols was accomplished in two steps. The synthetic route involves preparation of Grignard reagents by treating alkyl/aryl bromides with magnesium turnings in dry ether. Then substituted chalcones were reacted with the Grignard reagents to afford alkyl/aryl substituted tertiary alcohols 1-10. The structures of the synthesized compounds were assigned on the basis of FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass spectroscopic data. The in vivo anti-inflammatory activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated using the carrageenan-induced hind paw edema method and was compared with that of ibuprofen. Some of the newly synthesized compounds showed promising anti-inflammatory activity. The tertiary alcohols 1-10 were also screened for antibacterial activity against ten bacterial strains using seven Gram-positive and three Gram-negative bacteria and for antifungal activity against Aspergillus Flavus, Aspergillus Niger and Aspergillus pterus. Tertiary alcohols 1-10 were found to exhibit good to excellent antimicrobial activities compared to levofloxacin and fluconazole used as standard drugs.  相似文献
