The structures of new phases Li6CaLa2Sb2O12 and Li6.4Ca1.4La2Sb2O12 have been characterised using neutron powder diffraction. Rietveld analyses show that both compounds crystallise in the space group la3?d and contain the lithium cations in a complex arrangement with occupational disorder across oxide tetrahedra and distorted oxide octahedra, with considerable positional disorder in the latter. Variable temperature neutron diffraction experiments on Li6.4Ca1.4La2Sb2O12 show the structure is largely invariant with only a small variation in the lithium distribution as a function of temperature. Impedance spectroscopy measurements show that the total conductivity of Li6CaLa2Sb2O12 is several orders of magnitude smaller than related lithium-stuffed garnets with σ=10−7 S cm−1 at 95 °C and an activation energy of 0.82(3) eV. The transport properties of the conventional garnets Li3Gd3Te2O12, Li3Tb3Te2O12, Li3Er3Te2O12 and Li3Lu3Te2O12 have been evaluated and consistently show much lower values of conductivity, σ≤4.4×10−6 S cm−1 at 285 °C and activation energies in the range 0.77(4)≤Ea/eV≤1.21(3).  相似文献

Garnet-structure related metal oxides with the nominal chemical composition of Li5La3Nb2O12, In-substituted Li5.5La3Nb1.75In0.25O12 and K-substituted Li5.5La2.75K0.25Nb2O12 were prepared by solid-state reactions at 900, 950, and 1000 °C using appropriate amounts of corresponding metal oxides, nitrates and carbonates. The powder XRD data reveal that the In- and K-doped compounds are isostructural with the parent compound Li5La3Nb2O12. The variation in the cubic lattice parameter was found to change with the size of the dopant ions, for example, substitution of larger In3+(rCN6: 0.79 Å) for smaller Nb5+ (rCN6: 0.64 Å) shows an increase in the lattice parameter from 12.8005(9) to 12.826(1) Å at 1000 °C. Samples prepared at higher temperatures (950, 1000 °C) show mainly bulk lithium ion conductivity in contrast to those synthesized at lower temperatures (900 °C). The activation energies for the ionic conductivities are comparable for all samples. Partial substitution of K+ for La3+ and In3+ for Nb5+ in Li5La3Nb2O12 exhibits slightly higher ionic conductivity than that of the parent compound over the investigated temperature regime 25-300 °C. Among the compounds investigated, the In-substituted Li5.5La3Nb1.75In0.25O12 exhibits the highest bulk lithium ion conductivity of 1.8×10−4 S/cm at 50 °C with an activation energy of 0.51 eV. The diffusivity (“component diffusion coefficient”) obtained from the AC conductivity and powder XRD data falls in the range 10−10-10−7 cm2/s over the temperature regime 50-200 °C, which is extraordinarily high and comparable with liquids. Substitution of Al, Co, and Ni for Nb in Li5La3Nb2O12 was found to be unsuccessful under the investigated conditions.  相似文献

We report the single crystal structures of a series of lanthanide containing tantalates, Ln3Li5Ta2O12 (Ln=La, Pr, Nd) that were obtained out of a reactive lithium hydroxide flux. The structures of Ln3Li5Ta2O12 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, where the Li+ positions and Li+ site occupancies were fixed based on previously reported neutron diffraction data for isostructural compounds. All three oxides crystallize in the cubic space group (No. 230) with lattice parameters a=12.7735(1), 12.6527(1), and 12.5967(1) Å for La3Li5Ta2O12, Pr3Li5Ta2O12, and Nd3Li5Ta2O12, respectively. A UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum of Nd3Li5Ta2O12 was collected to explain its unusual Alexandrite-like optical behavior. To evaluate the transport properties of Nd3Li5Ta2O12, the impedance data were collected in air in the temperature range 300?T(°C)?500.  相似文献

We have successfully synthesized a polycrystalline sample of tetragonal garnet-related Li-ion conductor Li7La3Hf2O12 by solid state reaction. The crystal structure is analyzed by the Rietveld method using neutron powder diffraction data. The structure analysis identifies that tetragonal Li7La3Hf2O12 has the garnet-related type structure with a space group of I41/acd (no. 142). The lattice constants are a=13.106(2) Å and c=12.630(2) Å with a cell ratio of c/a=0.9637. The crystal structure of tetragonal Li7La3Hf2O12 has the garnet-type framework structure composed of dodecahedral La(1)O8, La(2)O8 and octahedral HfO6. Li atoms occupy three types of crystallographic site in the interstices of this framework structure, where Li(1) atom is located at the tetrahedral 8a site, and Li(2) and Li(3) atoms are located at the distorted octahedral 16f and 32g sites, respectively. These Li sites are filled with the Li atom. The present tetragonal Li7La3Hf2O12 sample exhibits bulk Li-ion conductivity of σb=9.85×10−7 S cm−1 and grain-boundary Li-ion conductivity of σgb=4.45×10−7 S cm−1 at 300 K. The activation energy is estimated to be Ea=0.53 eV in the temperature range of 300-580 K.  相似文献

Two pure light rare earth iron garnets Pr3Fe5O12 and Nd3Fe5O12 single crystals were synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction methods. Both compounds crystallize in cubic space group Ia3?d with lattice parameters a=12.670(2) Å for Pr3Fe5O12 and a=12.633(2) Å for Nd3Fe5O12, respectively. The synthesis of compounds was studied with regard to phase evolution and morphology development with hydrothermal conditions. We proposed the formation mechanisms and formulated a reasonable explanation for their growth habits. Ferrimagnetic Curie temperatures which have been inferred from thermo-magnetization curves were 580 K for Pr3Fe5O12 and 565 K for Nd3Fe5O12, and the transitions of long range order were also evidenced by differential scanning calorimetry method. The result of magnetic properties has shown that moments of the large radius Pr3+ and Nd3+ ions are parallelly coupled with net moments of iron ions.  相似文献

The Li1.746Nd4.494FeO9.493 (LNF) ternary phase, located in the Li2O-rich part of the Li2O-Nd2O3-Fe2O3 system, crystallizes with a cubic unit cell of dimension and the space group Im3m. Refinement on F resulted in R=1.9%. The structure is comprised of a network of corners, edges and faces sharing the coordination polyhedra of neodymium. In between this skeleton the regular octahedra of oxygen-coordinated iron and trigonal prisms of lithium are located. The Mössbauer spectra revealed the presence of Fe3+, Fe4+ and Fe5+ ions distributed on two symmetry-independent lattice positions.  相似文献

A quaternary phase, Ba3La3Mn2W3O18, was synthesized in reduced atmosphere (5% H2/Ar) at 1200 °C and characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and high resolution TEM. Ba3La3Mn2W3O18 crystallizes in rhombohedral space group with the cell parameters, and , and can be attributed to the n=6 member in the B-site deficient perovskite family, AnBn−1O3n. The structure can be described as close-packed [La/BaO3] arrays in the sequence of (hcccch)3, wherein the B-site cations, W and Mn, occupy five octahedral layers in every six octahedral layers, which leave a vacant octahedral layers separating the 5-layer perovskite blocks. The B-cation layers in the perovskite block alternate along the c-axis in a sequence of W6+-Mn2+-W5+-Mn2+-W6+. The bond valence calculation and optical reflection spectrum confirm the presence of W5+. This compound behaves paramagnetically in wide temperature range and weak antiferromagnetic interaction only occurs at low temperatures.  相似文献

The infrared and Raman spectra of Ba5Li2W3O15 are reported down to 200 cm?1. From the internal stretching modes of the tungstate octahedra the crystallographic order between lithium and tungsten in the face-sharing octahedra can be derived. The green tungstate luminescence shows a low quenching temperature that is described with the Dexter-Klick-Russell model. The U6+ ion shows a yellow emission in Ba5Li2W3O15. There is ample evidence for two different U6+ centers with different decay times (10 and 80 μsec) and different emission and excitation spectra. One of these is located in a single layer of tungstate octahedra, the other in a double layer of octahedra.  相似文献

Thin crystals of La2O3, LaAlO3, La2/3TiO3, La2TiO5, and La2Ti2O7 have been irradiated in situ using 1 MeV Kr2+ ions at the Intermediate Voltage Electron Microscope-Tandem User Facility (IVEM-Tandem), Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). We observed that La2O3 remained crystalline to a fluence greater than 3.1×1016 ions cm−2 at a temperature of 50 K. The four binary oxide compounds in the two systems were observed through the crystalline-amorphous transition as a function of ion fluence and temperature. Results from the ion irradiations give critical temperatures for amorphisation (Tc) of 647 K for LaAlO3, 840 K for La2Ti2O7, 865 K for La2/3TiO3, and 1027 K for La2TiO5. The Tc values observed in this study, together with previous data for Al2O3 and TiO2, are discussed with reference to the melting points for the La2O3-Al2O3 and La2O3-TiO2 systems and the different local environments within the four crystal structures. Results suggest that there is an observable inverse correlation between Tc and melting temperature (Tm) in the two systems. More complex relationships exist between Tc and crystal structure, with the stoichiometric perovskite LaAlO3 being the most resistant to amorphisation.  相似文献

The structures of NaRu2O4 and Na2.7Ru4O9 are refined using neutron diffraction. NaRu2O4 is a stoichiometric compound consisting of double chains of edge sharing RuO6 octahedra. Na2.7Ru4O9 is a non-stoichiometric compound with partial occupancy of the Na sublattice. The structure is a mixture of single, double and triple chains of edge-shared RuO6 octahedra. NaRu2O4 displays temperature independent paramagnetism with . Na2.7Ru4O9 is paramagnetic, χ0= with and a Curie constant of 0.0119 emu/mol Oe K. Specific heat measurements reveal a small upturn at low temperatures, similar to the upturn observed in La4Ru6O19. The electronic contribution to the specific heat (γ) for Na2.7Ru4O9 was determined to be15 mJ/moleRu K2.  相似文献

By activation of the new host lattice Sr3La2W2O12 with the trivalent rare earth ions Nd, Eu, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb an intense emission in the visible and/or infrared region is obtained. Energy transfer from Er3+ to Tm3+ and Nd3+ to Yb3+ has been found to occur. The excitation, emission, and diffuse reflectance spectra are analyzed for Sr3La2W2O12: Ln3+ (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb).  相似文献

Single-phase 1:2 B-site ordered perovskites are formed in the (1−x)A2+(Li1/4Nb3/4)O3-(x)A2+(Li2/5W3/5)O3 systems, A2+=Sr and Ca, within the range 0.238?x?0.333. The X-ray and electron diffraction patterns are consistent with a P21/c monoclinic supercell, , , , β≈125°, where the 1:2 order is combined with bbc+ octahedral tilting. Rietveld refinements of the ordered A(BI1/3BII2/3)O3 structures give a good fit to a model with BI occupied by Li and Nb, BII by W and Nb, and a general stoichiometry (Sr,Ca)(Li3/4+y/2Nb1/4−y/2)1/3(Nb1−yWy)2/3O3, y=0.9x=0.21-0.30. The Sr system also includes regions of stability of a 1:3 ordered phase for 0.0?x?0.111, and a 1:1 ordered double perovskite for 0.833?x?1.0. The formation of the non-stoichiometric 1:2 ordered phases is associated with the large site charge/size differences that can be accessed in these systems, and restricted by local charge imbalances at the A-sites for W-rich compositions. These concepts are used to generate stability maps to rationalize the formation of the known 1:2 ordered oxide perovskites.  相似文献

The lithium insertion in the positive electrode material Li1+αV3O8 (α close to 0.1-0.2) includes a phenomenon near 2.6 V (voltage vs. the Li metal electrode), the mechanism being a two-phase process with the transformation from ca. Li2.9V3O8 to ca. Li4V3O8. Near 2.4 V down to 2 V, Li is inserted in a single phase up to ca. Li5V3O8. Chemical Li insertions have been performed in a Li1.1V3O8 precursor prepared at 350 °C and the structures of the products Li2.7V3O8 (before the 2.6 V phenomenon) and Li4.8V3O8 (near the expected maximum) have been studied by a combined Rietveld refinement of X-ray and neutron diffraction data. The structure of Li4.8V3O8 is an ordered derivative of the rock-salt type, with all the Li and V ions in slightly distorted octahedral sites. Li2.7V3O8 has a poor crystallization state and, although the expected V3O8 layers are obtained, only a part of the Li sites have been reliably determined. Between adjacent V3O8 layers, several unidentified sites are likely weakly occupied, thus giving a markedly disordered character for the structure of the compound formed just before the transition at 2.6 V. The atomic shifts at the transition are briefly discussed.  相似文献

A new vanado-molybdate LiMg3VMo2O12 has been synthesized, the crystal structure determined an ionic conductivity measured. The solid solution Li2−zMg2+zVzMo3−zO12 was investigated and the structures of the z=0.5 and 1.0 compositions were refined by Rietveld analysis of powder X-ray (XRD) and powder neutron diffraction (ND) data. The structures were refined in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a∼5.10, b∼10.4 and c∼17.6 Å, and are isostructural with the previously reported double molybdates Li2M2(MoO4)3 (M=M2+, z=0). The structures comprise of two unique (Li/Mg)O6 octahedra, (Li/Mg)O6 trigonal prisms and two unique (Mo/V)O4 tetrahedra. A well-defined 1:3 ratio of Li+:Mg2+ is observed in octahedral chains for LiMg3VMo2O12. Li+ preferentially occupies trigonal prisms and Mg2+ favours octahedral sheets. Excess V5+ adjacent to the octahedral sheets may indicate short-range order. Ionic conductivity measured by impedance spectroscopy (IS) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements show the presence of a phase transition, at 500-600 °C, depending on x. A decrease in activation energy for Li+ ion conductivity occurs at the phase transition and the high temperature structure is a good Li+ ion conductor, with σ=1×10−3-4×10−2 S cm−1 and Ea=0.6 to 0.8 eV.  相似文献

The solid-state reactions of UO3 and WO3 with M2CO3 (M=Na, K, Rb) at 650°C for 5 days result, accordingly the starting stoichiometry, in the formation of M2(UO2)(W2O8) (M=Na (1), K (2)), M2(UO2)2(WO5)O (M=K (3), Rb (4)), and Na10(UO2)8(W5O20)O8 (5). The crystal structures of compounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction using Mo(Kα) radiation and a charge-coupled device detector. The crystal structures were solved by direct methods and Fourier difference techniques, and refined by a least-squares method on the basis of F2 for all unique reflections. For (1), unit-cell parameters were determined from powder X-ray diffraction data. Crystallographic data: 1, monoclinic, a=12.736(4) Å, b=7.531(3) Å, c=8.493(3) Å, β=93.96(2)°, ρcal=6.62(2) g/cm3, ρmes=6.64(1) g/cm3, Z=4; 2, orthorhombic, space group Pmcn, a=7.5884(16) Å, b=8.6157(18) Å, c=13.946(3) Å, ρcal=6.15(2) g/cm3, ρmes=6.22(1) g/cm3, Z=8, R1=0.029 for 80 parameters with 1069 independent reflections; 3, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a=8.083(4) Å, b=28.724(5) Å, c=9.012(4) Å, β=102.14(1)°, ρcal=5.83(2) g/cm3, ρmes=5.90(2) g/cm3, Z=8, R1=0.037 for 171 parameters with 1471 reflections; 4, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a=8.234(1) Å, b=28.740(3) Å, c=9.378(1) Å, β=104.59(1)°, ρcal=6.13(2) g/cm3,  g/cm3, Z=8, R1=0.037 for 171 parameters with 1452 reflections; 5, monoclinic, space group C2/c, a=24.359(5) Å, b=23.506(5) Å, c=6.8068(14) Å, β=94.85(3)°, ρcal=6.42(2) g/cm3,  g/cm3, Z=8, R1=0.036 for 306 parameters with 5190 independent reflections. The crystal structure of 2 contains linear one-dimensional chains formed from edge-sharing UO7 pentagonal bipyramids connected by two octahedra wide (W2O8) ribbons formed from two edge-sharing WO6 octahedra connected together by corners. This arrangement leads to [UW2O10]2− corrugated layers parallel to (001). Owing to the unit-cell parameters, compound 1 probably contains similar sheets parallel to (100). Compounds 3 and 4 are isostructural and the structure consists of bi-dimensional networks built from the edge- and corner-sharing UO7 pentagonal bipyramids. This arrangement creates square sites occupied by W atoms, a fifth oxygen atom completes the coordination of W atoms to form WO5 distorted square pyramids. The interspaces between the resulting [U2WO10]2− layers parallel to plane are occupied by K or Rb atoms. The crystal structure of compound 5 is particularly original. It is based upon layers formed from UO7 pentagonal bipyramids and two edge-shared octahedra units, W2O10, by the sharing of edges and corners. Two successive layers stacked along the [100] direction are pillared by WO4 tetrahedra resulting in sheets of double layers. The sheets are separated by Na+ ions. The other Na+ ions occupy the rectangular tunnels created within the sheets. In fact complex anions W5O2010− are built by the sharing of the four corners of a WO4 tetrahedron with two W2O10 dimmers, so, the formula of compound 5 can be written Na10(UO2)8(W5O20)O8.  相似文献

Single crystals of both Ba7Li3Ru4O20 and Ba4NaRu3O12 were grown from reactive molten hydroxide fluxes. Ba7Li3Ru4O20 is a 7L-layer perovskite-related phase resulting from the stacking of six [AO3] layers and one oxygen deficient [AO2] layer, thereby creating LiO4 tetrahedra in addition to the LiO6 octahedra and face-sharing Ru2O9 bi-octahedra formed from the [AO3] layers. The compound crystallizes in the space group with a=5.7927(1) Å and c=50.336(2) Å, Z=3. Ba4NaRu3O12 crystallizes in the space group P63mc with lattice parameters of a=5.8014(2) Å and c=19.2050(9) Å, Z=2. Ba4NaRu3O12 is identical to a previously reported neutron refinement structure. The magnetic properties of Ba7Li3Ru4O20 are also reported.  相似文献

A new phase, Li4VO(PO4)2 was synthesized by a lithium ion exchange reaction from protonic phase, VO(H2PO4)2. The structure was determined from neutron and synchrotron powder diffraction data. The exchange of lithium causes a stress, leading to a change in the dimensionality of the structure from 3D to 2D by the displacement of oxygen atoms. Thus, Li4VO(PO4)2 crystallizes in P4/n space group with lattice parameters a=8.8204(1) Å and c=8.7614(2) Å. It consists of double layers [V2P4O18] formed by successive chains of VO6 octahedra and VO5 pyramids with isolated PO4 tetrahedra. The lithium ions located in between the layers promote mobility. Furthermore, the ionic conductivity of 10−4 S/cm at 550 °C for Li4VO(PO4)2 confirms the mobility of lithium ions in the layers. On the other hand, VO(H2PO4)2 exhibits a conductivity of 10−4 S/cm at room temperature due to the presence of protons in tunnels.  相似文献

Li2Rh3B2 has been synthesized at 1000 °C from a stoichiometric mix of rhodium and boron and an excess of lithium. Li2Rh3B2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbam (no. 55, Z=2) with room temperature lattice constants a=5.7712(1) Å, b=9.4377(2) Å, c=2.8301(1) Å and cell volume 154.149(6) Å3. The structure was solved from single crystal X-ray diffraction yielding the final R indices (all data) R1=2.8% and wR2=4.7%. The structure is a distortion of the CeCo3B2 structure type, containing a network of Rh6B trigonal prisms and short Li-Li contacts of 2.28(2) Å. Li2Rh3B2 is a diamagnetic metal with a room temperature resistivity of 19 μΩ cm, as determined by magnetic susceptibility and single crystal transport measurements. The measured diamagnetism and electronic structure calculations show that Li2Rh3B2 contains rhodium in a d10 configuration.  相似文献

Quadruple perovskites Ba4LnRu3O12 (Ln=La, Nd, Sm-Gd, Dy-Lu) were prepared and their magnetic properties were investigated. They adopt the 12L-perovskite-type structure consisting of Ru3O12 trimers and LnO6 octahedra. All of these compounds show an antiferromagnetic transition at 2.5-30 K. For Ba4NdRu3O12, ferrimagnetic ordering has been observed at 11.5 K. The observed magnetic transition is due to the magnetic behavior of the Ru4.33+3O12 trimer with S=. Magnetic properties of Ba4LnRu3O12 were compared with those of triple perovskites Ba3LnRu2O9 and double perovskites Ba2LnRuO6.  相似文献

A new neodymium molybdate, Nd6Mo10O39, has been identified in the Nd2O3-MoO3 phase system. Nd6Mo10O39 appears to be a metastable phase, which does not form directly from a stoichiometric mixture of Nd2O3 and MoO3 oxides. Instead, it can be obtained by thermal decomposition of Nd2Mo4O15. Nd2Mo4O15 usually decomposes into Nd2(MoO4)3, and the formation of Nd6Mo10O39 critically depends on the heating regime used. The structure of Nd6Mo10O39 has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c, with unit cell parameters of , , , β=100.767(2)°, at 120 K. Nd atoms are seven and eight coordinate, and pairs of coordination polyhedra share edges and faces, respectively, to form Nd2O12 and Nd2O13 groups. All Mo atoms are in tetrahedral coordination environments, with some of the tetrahedra sharing corners to form pyromolybdate groups.  相似文献
