接枝丙烯酰胺改善聚乙烯膜表面亲水性的研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
利用等离子体技术和紫外照射接枝相结合在聚乙烯膜表面接枝丙烯酰胺(AAm)以改善其亲水性。通过衰减全反射红外光谱(ATR-FTIR)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)和接触角测定验证了在无光引发剂的条件下,将等离子体预处理和紫外照射接枝结合起来可以有效地提高AAm的接枝效果,很好地改善PE膜表面的亲水性。探讨了等离子体复合参数W/(FM)、等离子体预处理时间、AAm单体浓度以及紫外照射时间对改善PE膜表面亲水性的影响,确定改善PE膜表面亲水性的最佳实验条件。  相似文献

Binary graft copolymerization of thermosensitive 2-(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) and pH sensitive acrylic acid (AAc) monomers onto polypropylene (PP) films was carried out by a two step method using a 60Co gamma radiation source. The PP film was initially modified by grafting of DMAEMA through a direct method. The DMAEMA-g-PP film obtained was then subjected to radiation grafting of AAc by the pre-irradiation method to give (DMAEMA-g-PP)-g-AAc. The optimal conditions, such as reaction time, reaction temperature, monomer concentration, and dose were studied. The grafted samples were verified by the FTIR-ATR spectroscopy and swelling; thermal properties were analyzed by DSC and TGA.  相似文献

Acrylic acid (AAc) was grafted onto polypropylene (PP) fabric by a preirradiation method using a Co-60 gamma ray. The effect of absorbed dose, AAc concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time, storage time, as well as the effect of ferrous ion and sulfuric acid on the degree of grafting were determined. It has been shown that the synergistic effect of sulfuric acid with the ferrous sulfate can not only increase the grafting yield, but also decrease the apparent activation energy for the grafting. It leads to the possibility of getting a particular grafting yield at a lower absorbed dose. In this experiment, It has also been shown that the grafting activity of preirradiated PP fabric in AAc aqueous solution could be well kept at room temperature for a long period.  相似文献

Abstract

Graft polymerization of acrylamide (AAm) on 1, 1, 2, 2 tetrachloro-ethane (TCE) preswelled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) films were performed with chemical initiation method using asobisiso-butyronitrile (AIBN) initiator. Temperature was found to have a greater effect on the swelling then the swelling time. Variation of the graft yield with polymerization temperature, time, AIBN concentration, AAm concentration, AIBN and AAm inclusion times were investigated. The optimum temperature for grafting was found to be 70°CC. The graft yield was observed to increase with polymerization time, AAm concentration, initiator and monomer diffusion time up to a saturation graft yield and then leveled off. An increase in AIBN concentration first enhanced the percent grafting then showed a decrease. The addition of some salts (Ni2+, Cr3+, Co2+, Cu2+) on the rate of grafting was also investigated. From the temperature dependence of the initial rate of grafting, the overall activation energy was found to be 4. 1 kcal/mol and relevant rate equation have been derived. The effect of grafting on film propities, such as water absorption capacity, intrinsic viscosity were determined. Grafted films were characterized by FTIR spectros-copy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).  相似文献

After one atmospheric pressure plasma treatment of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film, acrylic acid (AAc) in aqueous solution was successfully graft‐copolymerized onto PET films. The effects of reaction time, AAc monomer concentration and reaction temperature on grafting behavior of AAc were systematically studied. Possible reaction kinetics of plasma‐induced graft copolymerization, starting from initial hydroperoxide decomposition, were proposed. Through the Arrhenius analysis about graft copolymerization kinetics of AAc monomers on PET surface, it was revealed that the activation energies of decomposition, propagation and termination were 98.4, 63.5, and 17.5 kJ/mol, respectively. The temperature around 80 °C was favorable not only for the formation of oxide radicals through the thermal decomposition of hydroperoxide on PET surface but also for the extension of graft copolymer chain through direct polymer grafting. Poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc) grains grafted onto PET surfaces possessed relatively uniform size and both PAAc grain size and surface roughness increased with increasing the grafting degree of AAc. The increase of grain size with increasing grafting degree results from the possibility of forming long chain graft copolymers and their shielding of reactive sites. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC) was grafted onto polyethylene (PE) films by a double grafting procedure. The PE film was initially modified by grafting acrylic acid (AA), through a mutual irradiation method. AA-g-PE film, thus obtained was subjected to subsequent radiation grafting reaction of DADMAC, to give a DADMAC-g-AA-g-PE film having a comb-type structure. The influence of different conditions, such as the extent of AA grafting, DADMAC concentration, absorbed dose and dose rate, on the grafting yield of DADMAC was investigated. A maximum DADMAC grafting of 30% was achieved. The equilibrium degree of swelling (EDS) of the grafted films were gravimetrically determined. TGA and FT-IR techniques were employed to characterize the grafted PE films.  相似文献

Phospholipid polymer, poly[2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC)], was grafted with polyethylene (PE) membrane using photoinduced polymerization technique to make the membrane resistant to cell adhesion. The water contact angle on the PE membrane grafted with poly(MPC) decreased with an increase in the photopolymerization time. This decrease corresponded to the increase in the amount of poly(MPC) grafted on the PE surface. The same graft polymerization procedure was applied using other hydrophilic monomers, such as acrylamide (AAm), N-vinylpyrrolidone (VPy) and methacryloyl poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG). These monomers were also polymerized to form grafted chains on the PE membrane, and the grafting was confirmed with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Analysis of amount and distribution of plasma proteins at the plasma-contacting surface of the original and the modified PE membranes were analyzed using immunogold assay. The grafting of poly(MPC) and poly(VPy) on PE membrane reduced the plasma protein adsorption significantly compared with that on the original PE membrane. However, the PE membranes grafted with poly(AAm) or poly(MPEG) did not show any effects on protein adsorption. Platelet adhesion on the original and modified PE membranes from platelet-rich plasma was also examined. A large number of platelets adhered and activated on the original PE membrane. Grafting with poly(AAm) did not suppress platelet adhesion, but grafting with poly(MPC) or poly(VPy) on the PE membrane was effective in preventing platelet adhesion. It is concluded that the introduction of the phosphorylcholine group on the surface could decrease the cell adhesion to substrate polymer.  相似文献

In this work, we report a series of poly(itaconic acid‐co‐acrylic acid‐co‐acrylamide) (poly(IA‐co‐AAc‐co‐AAm)) hydrogels via frontal polymerization (FP). FP starts on the top of the reaction mixture with aid of heating provided from soldering iron gun. Once polymerization initiated, no further energy is required to complete the process. The influences of IA/AAc weight ratios on frontal velocities, temperatures, and conversions on the reaction time are thoroughly investigated and discussed where the amount of AAm monomer remains constant. Fourier transform‐infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscope (SEM), dynamic mechanical analysis, and the swelling measurement are applied to characterize the as‐synthesized poly(IA‐co‐AAc‐co‐AAm) hydrogels. Interestingly, the swelling ratios of the hydrogels are changed with different IA/AAc contents, and the maximum swelling ratios are ~4439% in water. SEM images describe highly porous morphologies and explain good swelling capabilities. Graft-polymerization of acrylic acid (AAc) monomer onto poly(tetraflouroethylene-perflouro vinyl ether) (PFA) copolymer film was carried out using gamma irradiation technique to synthesize grafted copolymer film PFA-g-PAAc (PFA-COOH). The effect of the dose on the degree of grafting of AAc onto PFA film was investigated. The results showed that the degree of grafting increases with increasing the irradiation dose. The grafted [PFA-COOH] film was chemically modified by reaction with aniline to produce modified [PFA-CO-NH-ph] film, followed by sulphonation reaction to introduce sulfonic acid (SO3H) groups to get other modified [PFA-CO-NH-ph-SO3H] film. The chemical structures of the grafted and modified films were identified by FT-IR, XRD, and SEM. It is of particular interest to measure the electrical conductivity of grafted and modified membranes as a function of degree of grafting. It was found that the conductivity of the grafted films increases with increasing the degree of grafting, however a slightly increase in conductivity was observed in [PFA-CO-NH-ph-SO3H] sample. The electrical conductivity property of the modified PFA membranes suggests their possible use for fuel cell applications.  相似文献

Interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) hydrogels were prepared by grafting of acrylamide (AAm), N-methylol acrylamide (NMA) and acrylic acid (AAc) onto preirradiated polypropylene (PP) membrane. To obtain PP-g-AAc/AAm/NMA IPN hydrogels, at first, AAc were grafted onto preirradiated PP and then AAm were grafted onto the PP-g-AAc membranes. Finally NMA were grafted onto PP-g-AAc/AAm membranes. In the different stages of grafting under different reaction conditions, trapped radicals in the membrane samples were probed by electron spin resonance (ESR). The temperature response behaviors of the IPN hydrogels were studied. Reversible behavior and controlled release of drug tests made reflecting the switching to on state at higher temperatures and to off state at lower temperatures were achieved. By increasing the grafted content of NMA, higher transition temperature of the hydrogel could be attained.  相似文献

The major objective of this research was to modify the surface characteristics of poly(L ‐lactide) (PLA) by grafting a combination of hydrophilic polymers to produce a continuum of hydrophilicity. The PLA film was solvent cast, and the film surfaces were activated by ultra violet (UV) irradiation. A single monomer or combination of two monomers, selected from vinyl acetate (VAc), acrylic acid (AA), and acrylamide (AAm), were then grafted to the PLA film surface using a UV induced photopolymerization process. The film surfaces resulting from each reaction step were analyzed using ATR‐FTIR spectroscopy and contact angle goniometry. Results showed that AAm dominated the hydrophilicity of the film surface when copolymerized with VAc or AA, while the water contact angles for PLA films grafted with poly(vinyl acetate‐co‐acrylic acid) varied more gradually with feed composition. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Methyl α,β,β-trifluoroacrylate (MTFA) was grafted onto polyethylene (PE) film and fluorine-containing films to make ion-exchange membranes. In the case of PE the grafting yield was not influenced by the presence of trifluorotrichloroethane (Freon 113) in the reaction mixture, while the presence of methanol decreased the grafting yield. The transversal distribution of graft chains in the film observed by electron-probe x-ray microanalysis showed that when the grafting was carried out in the presence of Freon the amount of graft chains in the central part of PE film was much larger than that at the film surface and that the grafts obtained in the absence of Freon were located mainly at the film surface. The electric resistance of the graft PE film obtained in the presence of Freon decreased more than that of the one obtained in the absence of Freon. The weight loss of the graft films in H2O2 solution was negligibly small.  相似文献

Methyl methacrylate (MMA), acrylic acid (AAc), and vinyl acetate (VAc) were graft copolymerized onto Himachali wool in an aqueous medium by using vanadium oxyacetyl acetonate as initiator. Graft copolymerization was studied at 45, 55, 65, and 75°C for various reaction periods. The percentage of grafting was determined as functions of concentration of monomers, concentration of initiator, time, and temperature. The maximum percentage of grafting with each monomer occurred at 55°. Several grafting experiments were carried out in the presence of various additives which include HNO3, DMSO, and pyridine. Nitric acid was found to promote grafting of MMA. All these additives had adverse effects on grafting of VAc and AAc. MMA, VAc, and AAc were found to differ in reactivity toward grafting and followed the order MMA > AAc > VAc.  相似文献

Direct radiation-induced grafting of aqueous acrylic acid (AAc) onto poly(tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene) (ET) film has been studied. The effect of grafting conditions such as monomer concentration, exposure dose, dose rate, and film thickness on the grafting yield was investigated. The dependence of the grafting rate on monomer concentration was found to be 1.2 order. The dependence of the grafting rate on dose rate was found to be 0.6 order regardless of the film thickness. The relationship between the grafting rate and film thickness gave a negative first-order dependence. The results suggest that the grafting process is mainly controlled by monomer diffusion, and it was concluded that this grafting system proceeded by the front mechanism. The swelling behavior increases linearly with degree of grafting. The electrical conductivity and mechanical properties for the trunk and grafted polymer were investigated at different irradiation doses in air and under vacuum irradiations. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Acrylamide (AAm)/Acrylic Acid (AAc) copolymers have been prepared by gamma irradiation of binary mixtures at three different compositions where the acrylamide/acrylic acid mole ratios varied around 15, 20, and 30%. Threshold dose for 100% conversion of monomers into hydrogels was found to be 8.0 kGy. Poly(Acrylamide‐co‐Acrylic Acid) (poly(AAm‐co‐AAc)) hydrogels have been considered for the removal of uranyl ions from aqueous solutions. Swelling behavior of these hydrogels was determined in distilled water at different pH values and in aqueous solutions of uranyl ions. The results of swelling tests at pH 8.0 indicated that poly(AAm‐co‐AAc) hydrogel, containing 15% acrylamide showed maximum % swelling. Diffusion of water and aqueous solutions of uranyl ion into hydrogels was found to be non‐Fickian in character and their diffusion coefficients were calculated. The effect of pH, composition of hydrogel, and concentration of uranyl ions on the adsorption process were studied at room temperature. It was found that one gram of dry poly(AAm‐co‐AAc) hydrogel adsorbed 70–320 mg and 70–400 mg uranyl ions from aqueous solutions of uranyl nitrate and uranyl acetate in the initial concentration range of 50–1500 mg UO2 2+L?, depending on the amount of AAc in the hydrogels, respectively. Adsorption isotherms were constructed for poly(AAm‐co‐AAc)–uranyl ion system indicating an S type of adsorption in the Giles classification system. It is concluded that crosslinked poly(AAm‐co‐AAc) hydrogels can be successfully used for the removal of uranyl ions from their aqueous solutions.  相似文献

通过N-丙烯酰-1,2-乙二胺盐酸盐(ADE)的Michael加成反应制备阳离子超支化低聚物聚N-丙烯酰-1,2-乙二胺盐酸盐(HADE),以HADE为大分子单体,以丙烯酰胺(AAm)和丙烯酸(AAc)为单体,在无需外加有机交联剂的条件下制备具有高机械强度的两性聚电解质水凝胶(HAH凝胶).结果表明,HAH凝胶可以被压缩超过99%的形变而不断裂,压缩强度高达61.2 MPa;HAH凝胶的断裂伸长率和断裂强度分别达到1700%和70.2 k Pa.由于HADE末端伯胺基与强氧化引发剂通过氧化还原反应生成胺自由基和自身结构中的双键同时参与聚合反应,因而为凝胶网络形成提供了必要的化学交联作用.同时HADE结构中胺基正电荷与AAc的羧基负电荷之间的离子交联也为凝胶网络提供了物理交联作用.2种交联作用的协同作用是HAH凝胶具有良好机械性能的根本原因.  相似文献

Gamma radiation induced grafting of acrylamide (AAm) onto vulcanized strips of EPDM and EPDM/PE blends has been carried out. The effects of different parameters on the graft yield have been investigated. These parameters include: radiation dose, monomer concentration, diluent composition and types of inhibitors. It has been found that water is the most appropriate solvent. The preswelling of crosslinked rubber samples in cyclohexane prior to grafting enhances the grafting and the addition of methanol to water as binary diluent in the ratio (1 : 1) decreases the graft yield. The presence of Mohr's salt and copper sulfate in the reaction mixture in the molar ratio (2.1 : 0.5) markedly increases the graft yield. Evidence of grafting have been conducted using thermal analysis as well as swelling measurements in water. A study has been made for the preparation of membranes by the direct radiation grafting of N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP), acrylamide (AAm) and its comonomer onto low density polyethylene (LDPE) films. The factors affecting the grafting process such as solvent, inhibitor, radiation dose, dose rate, monomer and comonomer concentrations on the grafting yield were studied. Dioxane was chosen as a diluent and the addition of any inhibitor failed in this grafting system. The optimum comonomer composition at which the highest grafting yield was obtained, was found to be (20/80 wt% of AAm/NVP) comonomer. The dependence of the grafting rate upon NVP, AAm and its comonomer concentration for comonomer composition (50/50 and 20/80 AAm/NVP) was found to be 1.7, 1.44, 1.9 and 1.7 order, respectively. Some selective properties of the graft copolymers such as, swelling behaviour, electrical and mechanical properties were investigated. On the other hand, the thermal stability of these membranes was measured by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). An improvement of these properties was observed which makes possible the use of these membranes in some practical applications such as the removal of some heavy metals from waste water.  相似文献

This paper utilizes a silver electrode quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) mass sensor to detect the physiology of cells. This study also investigates the plasma surface modification of silver electrode QCMs through deposition of hexamethyldisilazane (HMDSZ) films as a protection film. To improve the cell growth, this paper also performs post-treatments by surface-grafting acrylic acid (AAc), acrylamide (AAm), and oxygen plasma treatment onto the QCM electrodes. Experimental results indicate that plasma deposition is a useful technique to protect the surface of silver electrodes. This technique extends the unpeeling time of silver electrodes from 1 to 7 days. The hydrophilic silver electrode QCM surface modified by AAm exhibited a better storage time effect than other post-treatments.  相似文献
