Time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy has become a widely used experimental tool for the investigation of ultrafast dynamics of polar systems in the far infrared. We have recently proposed an analytical method for the extraction of a transient two-dimensional susceptibility from the experimental data [N?mec, Kadlec, and Kuzel, J. Chem. Phys. 117, 8454 (2002)]. In the present paper the methodology of optical pump-terahertz probe experiments is further developed for direct application in realistic experimental situations. The expected two-dimensional transient response function is calculated for a number of model cases (including Drude dynamics of free carriers, harmonic and anharmonic oscillator modes); these results serve as a basis for the interpretation of experimental results. We discuss also the cases where only partial (one-dimensional) information about the system dynamics can be experimentally obtained.  相似文献

We have calculated the critical cluster sizes and homogeneous nucleation rates of water at temperatures and vapor densities corresponding to experiments by Wolk and Strey [J. Phys. Chem B 105, 11683 (2001)]. The calculations have been done with an expanded version of a Monte Carlo method originally developed by Vehkamaki and Ford [J. Chem. Phys. 112, 4193 (2000)]. Their method calculates the statistical growth and decay probabilities of molecular clusters. We have derived a connection between these probabilities and kinetic condensation and evaporation rates, and introduce a new way for the calculation of the work of formation of clusters. Three different interaction potential models of water have been used in the simulations. These include the unpolarizable SPC/E [J. Phys. Chem. 91, 6269 (1987)] and TIP4P [J. Chem. Phys. 79, 926 (1983)] models and a polarizable model by Guillot and Guissani [J. Chem. Phys. 114, 6720 (2001)]. We show that TIP4P produces critical cluster sizes and a temperature and vapor density dependence for the nucleation rate that agree well with the experimental data, although the magnitude of nucleation rate is constantly overestimated by a factor of 2 x 10(4). Guissani and Guillot's model is somewhat less successful, but both the TIP4P and Guillot and Guissani models are able to reproduce a much better experimental temperature dependency of the nucleation rate than the classical nucleation theory. Using SPC/E results in dramatically too small critical clusters and high nucleation rates. The water models give different average binding energies for clusters. We show that stronger binding between cluster molecules suppresses the decay probability of a cluster, while the growth probability is not affected. 为了确定双核金属酞菁化合物对亚硫酰氯还原反应是否具有比单核金属酞菁更强的电催化性能, 通过循环伏安测试方法, 用酞菁钴和酞菁铁作为对比, 研究了双核钴锰酞菁在1.5 mol·L-1 LiAlCl4/SOCl2电解液中的电催化行为, 并计算出动力学参数, 由此来评估具有平面结构的双核金属酞菁化合物对亚硫酰氯还原的催化活性的影响. 通过比较循环伏安曲线发现, 与单核酞菁钴(II)和酞菁铁(II)相比, 双核钴锰酞菁对SOCl2还原反应具有更好的催化活性, 能提高SOCl2还原反应的交换速率常数和SOCl2在玻碳电极上的扩散系数, 从而提高SOCl2还原电位和电流.通过ER14250型实体电池10 mA放电性能测试验证表明, 与单核酞菁钴和酞菁铁催化剂的电池相比, 双核钴锰酞菁在低温(-30 ℃)下可提高放电中点电压0.3 V, 在常温(25 ℃)下可以提高放电容量约100 mAh, 催化效果比单核酞菁钴和酞菁铁显著.  相似文献

In this paper, we present simulations of the decay of quantum coherence between vibrational states of I(2) in its ground (X) electronic state embedded in a cryogenic Kr matrix. We employ a numerical method based on the semiclassical limit of the quantum Liouville equation, which allows the simulation of the evolution and decay of quantum vibrational coherence using classical trajectories and ensemble averaging. The vibrational level-dependent interaction of the I(2)(X) oscillator with the rare-gas environment is modeled using a recently developed method for constructing state-dependent many-body potentials for quantum vibrations in a many-body classical environment [J. M. Riga, E. Fredj, and C. C. Martens, J. Chem. Phys. 122, 174107 (2005)]. The vibrational dephasing rates gamma(0n) for coherences prepared between the ground vibrational state mid R:0 and excited vibrational state mid R:n are calculated as a function of n and lattice temperature T. Excellent agreement with recent experiments performed by Karavitis et al. [Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 7, 791 (2005)] is obtained.  相似文献

We present a variational formulation of the recently-proposed CCSD(2)(R12) method [Valeev, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2008, 10, 106]. The centerpiece of this approach is the CCSD(2)(R12) Lagrangian obtained via L?wdin partitioning of the coupled-cluster singles and doubles (CCSD) Hamiltonian. Extremization of the Lagrangian yields the second-order basis set incompleteness correction for the CCSD energy. We also developed a simpler Hylleraas-type functional that only depends on one set of geminal amplitudes by applying screening approximations. This functional is used to develop a diagonal orbital-invariant version of the method in which the geminal amplitudes are fixed at the values determined by the first-order cusp conditions. Extension of the variational method to include perturbatively the effect of connected triples produces the method that approximates the complete basis-set limit of the standard CCSD plus perturbative triples [CCSD(T)] method. For a set of 20 small closed-shell molecules, the method recovered at least 94.5/97.3% of the CBS CCSD(T) correlation energy with the aug-cc-pVDZ/aug-cc-pVTZ orbital basis set. For 12 isogyric reactions involving these molecules, combining the aug-cc-pVTZ correlation energies with the aug-cc-pVQZ Hartree-Fock energies produces the electronic reaction energies with a mean absolute deviation of 1.4 kJ mol(-1) from the experimental values. The method has the same number of optimized parameters as the corresponding CCSD(T) model, does not require any modification of the coupled-cluster computer program, and only needs a small triple-zeta basis to match the precision of the considerably more expensive standard quintuple-zeta CCSD(T) computation.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss molecular conductivity based on Green's function methods. In our calculations, we adopted the self-energy formalism to accommodate semi-infinite electrodes connected to a molecule, and the self-energy was obtained from the surface Green's function of the electrodes. We adopted the formalism of the surface Green's function derived by Sanvito et al. [Phys. Rev. B 59, 11936 (1999)] and Krstic et al. [Phys. Rev. B 66, 205319 (2002)], and although their formalisms for the surface Green's function were different, we were able to demonstrate that these formalisms are mathematically identical. We analyzed the electron transmission probability by using the spectrum expression of Green's function, instead of using the inverse matrix of the effective Hamiltonian that includes an isolated molecule and the electrodes. Finally, we calculated the transmission probability of benzenedithiol based on the Hartree-Fock method and analyzed the disappearance of the transmission probability due to the orbital interference.  相似文献

The method of Monte Carlo configuration interaction (MCCI) (Greer, J. Chem. Phys. 1995a, 103, 1821; Tong, Nolan, Cheng, and Greer, Comp. Phys. Comm. 2000, 142, 132) is applied to the calculation of multipole moments. We look at the ground and excited state dipole moments in carbon monoxide. We then consider the dipole of NO, the quadrupole of N2 and of BH. An octupole of methane is also calculated. We consider experimental geometries and also stretched bonds. We show that these nonvariational quantities may be found to relatively good accuracy when compared with full configuration interaction results, yet using only a small fraction of the full configuration interaction space. MCCI results in the aug‐cc‐pVDZ basis are seen to generally have reasonably good agreement with experiment. We also investigate the performance of MCCI when applied to ionisation energies and electron affinities of atoms in an aug‐cc‐pVQZ basis. We compare the MCCI results with full configuration interaction quantum Monte Carlo (Booth and Alavi, J. Chem. Phys. 2010, 132, 174104; Cleland, Booth, and Alavi, J. Chem. Phys. 2011, 134, 024112) and “exact” nonrelativistic results (Booth and Alavi, J. Chem. Phys. 2010, 132, 174104; Cleland, Booth, and Alavi, J. Chem. Phys. 2011, 134, 024112). We show that MCCI could be a useful alternative for the calculation of atomic ionisation energies however electron affinities appear much more challenging for MCCI. Due to the small magnitude of the electron affinities their percentage errors can be high, but with regards to absolute errors MCCI performs similarly for ionisation energies and electron affinities. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

We previously reported self‐association and interassociation equilibrium constant values describing hydrogen bonding in solutions of a hyperbranched polyester. These allow us to estimate the extent of intramolecular screening and the fraction of same‐chain contacts in this system as a function of generation number. In this article, we use a similar method to evaluate the degree of intramolecular screening in polymer blends. The calculated values reported here are consistent with those previously reported in our solution study, confirming the validity of the calculation procedures we used to evaluate the accessibility of functional groups in these highly branched systems. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. We have developed a parallelized integral-direct code of the perturbative doubles correction for configuration interaction with singles, proposed as CIS(D) by Head-Gordon et al. (Chem Phys Lett 219:21, 1994). The CIS(D) method provides the energy corrections both of the relaxation and differential correlation for the respective CIS excited states. The implementation of CIS(D) is based on our original algorithm for the second-order Møller–Plesset perturbation (MP2) calculations (Mochizuki et al. in Theor Chem Acc 112:442, 2004). There is no need to communicate bulky intermediate data among worker processes of the parallelized execution. This CIS(D) code is then incorporated into a developer version of ABINIT-MP program, in order to improve the overestimation in excitation energies calculated by the CIS method in conjunction with the multilayer fragment molecular orbital scheme (MLFMO-CIS) (Mochizuki et al. in Chem Phys Lett 406:283, 2005). The MLFMO-CIS(D) method is first used in evaluating the lowest n\(\pi^{*}\) excitation energy of the hydrated formaldehyde. The photoactive yellow protein (PYP) is the second target of MLFMO-CIS(D) calculation. Through these applications, it is shown that the CIS(D) correction improves the CIS results favorably.  相似文献

The electrostatic interactions in dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations are calculated using the standard Ewald [Ann. Phys. 64, 253 (1921)] sum method. Charge distributions on DPD particles are included to prevent artificial ionic pair formation. This proposal is an alternative method to that introduced recently by Groot [J. Chem. Phys. 118, 11265 (2003)] where the electrostatic field was solved locally on a lattice. The Ewald method is applied to study a bulk electrolyte and polyelectrolyte-surfactant solutions. The structure of the fluid is analyzed through the radial distribution function between charged particles. The results are in good agreement with those reported by Groot for the same systems. We also calculated the radius of gyration of a polyelectrolyte in salt solution as a function of solution pH and degree of ionization of the chain. The radius of gyration increases with the net charge of the polymer in agreement with the trend found in static light scattering experiments of polystyrene sulfonate solutions.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to a full quantum mechanical study of the cis-->trans isomerization of HONO. In contrast to our previous study [Richter et al., J. Chem. Phys. 120, 6072 (2004)], the dynamics is now performed in the presence of an external time-dependent field in order to be closer to experimental conditions. A six-dimensional dipole surface is computed. Using a previously developed potential energy surface [Richter et al., J. Chem. Phys. 120, 1306 (2004)], all eigenstates up to 4000 cm(-1) are calculated. We simulate the dynamics during and after excitation by an electromagnetic pulse whose parameters are chosen to efficiently trigger the isomerization. Our investigations show that there is a selective isomerization pathway.  相似文献

New analytical bending and stretching, ground electronic state, potential energy surfaces for CH(3)F are reported. The surfaces are expressed in bond-length, bond-angle internal coordinates. The four-dimensional stretching surface is an accurate, least squares fit to over 2000 symmetrically unique ab initio points calculated at the CCSD(T) level. Similarly, the five-dimensional bending surface is a fit to over 1200 symmetrically unique ab initio points. This is an important first stage towards a full nine-dimensional potential energy surface for the prototype CH(3)F molecule. Using these surfaces, highly excited stretching and (separately) bending vibrational energy levels of CH(3)F are calculated variationally using a finite basis representation method. The method uses the exact vibrational kinetic energy operator derived for XY(3)Z systems by Manson and Law (preceding paper, Part I, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2006, 8, DOI: 10.1039/b603106d). We use the full C(3v) symmetry and the computer codes are designed to use an arbitrary potential energy function. Ultimately, these results will be used to design a compact basis for fully coupled stretch-bend calculations of the vibrational energy levels of the CH(3)F system.  相似文献

STM实验发现长链烷烃分子能够改善多种有机分子的吸附性能,本文利用CVFF力场对长链烷烃与石墨吸附体系进行了分子力学模拟,用半经验ZINDO/1,AM1方法对烷基取代酞菁和卟啉的STM形貌反差机制进行了研究。理论计算表明,长链烷烃分子与基底的吸附作用增强了分子的吸附稳定性,而烷烃分子间的二维结晶作用使取代酞菁和卟啉分子形成密排的二维有序结构。前线轨道电子密度和STM实验结果比较证明,分子核部分的电子性质和烷基部分的几何结构决定了取代酞菁和卟啉分子的STM形貌反差。  相似文献

A stimulated emission pumping spectra of jet-cooled DFCO performed by Crane et al. (J. Mol. Spectrosc. 1997, 183, 273) has provided a great number of ro-vibrational lines up to 9000 cm(-1) of excitation energy. By combining a Jacobi-Wilson (JW) approach with a Davidson scheme, we calculate the lines provided by the experiment up to 9000 cm(-1) using an ab initio global potential energy surface (PES) developed by Kato et al. (J. Chem. Phys. 1997, 107, 6114). Comparisons between experimental and calculated data provide a critical test of the quality of the PES used. We show that the variational calculated energies can be efficiently corrected by taking into account the error observed for the A' fundamental transitions nu(i) (i = 1, ..., 5) and the first overtone 2nu(6). A detailed analysis of the eigenstates obtained by the calculation allows one to quantify the coupling between the different modes. Such an information is essential to understand and predict the energy flow through a DFCO molecule that is initially excited.  相似文献

We systematically investigated the weak epitaxy growth (WEG) behavior of a series of planar phthalocyanine compounds (MPc), i.e., metal-free phthalocyanine (H2Pc), nickel phthalocyanine (NiPc), copper phthalocyanine (CuPc), zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc), iron phthalocyanine (FePc), cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc), grown on a p-sexiphenyl ( p-6P) monolayer film by selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Two types of epitaxial relations, named as incommensurate epitaxy and commensurate epitaxy, were identified between phthalocyanine compounds and the substrate of the p-6P film. The tiny variation of the lattice constant of phthalocyanine compounds can result in different crystal orientations. The change rule of incommensurate and commensurate epitaxy was extracted. The tendency of commensurate epitaxy becomes weaker as the lattice constant b increases, while it gets stronger as the substrate temperature is elevated. Large size and continuous H2Pc films can be obtained by controlling the growth conditions. The WEG method is generally applicable in the whole family of planar phthalocyanine compounds and may be used to fabricate other high-quality organic films.  相似文献

We report here the results from theoretical calculations of the potential energy curves, the geometry optimizations, and the electronic structures for three dimers of lithium phthalocyanine (LiPc) by using three types of functional systems: PBE1PBE, B3LYP, and M06. The results were discussed in comparison with those obtained for the dimers of magnesium phthalocyanine (MgPc). The long-range dispersive interactions were considered in part using these functional systems in the increasing order of PBE1PBE, B3LYP, and M06. The mechanism whereby the dispersive interactions affect the geometric and electronic structures of the LiPc and MgPc dimers is discussed. The calculated results provide insight into the computational methods for both open- and closed-shell metal phthalocyanine (MPc) dimers: Although the PBE1PBE and B3LYP functional systems cannot evaluate a weak dispersion interaction appropriately, the M06 functional can estimate a weak dispersion interaction well in both open- and closed-shell MPc dimers. Basis set superposition error (BSSE) corrections play an important role for the quantitative analysis; however, the calculation results without BSSE corrections may be sufficient for the qualitative discussion on the properties of these dimers such as geometries, stabilities, electronic structures, and so on.  相似文献

The effects of introducing gallium and indium metals into phthalocyanine molecules were investigated via temperature and frequency dependent dielectric spectroscopy. The dielectric properties of Ga(III) and In(III) phthalocyanine pellets were measured at frequencies from 1 kHz to 1 MHz in the temperature range 300-530 K. The temperature dependence of the real part of the dielectric constant suggested that these compounds exhibit semiconductor behavior. The activation energy values were calculated from the Arrhenius plots at different frequencies. A distinct transition in these plots indicated the activation of ionic conductivity at higher temperatures.  相似文献
