Moiré interferometry utilizes high frequency gratings to contour displacement components with a sensitivity of the order of 0·5 μ. This paper briefly reviews the technique for in-plane deformation measurement and its current applications to analyze adhesive bonded joints and composite deformation. The modified set-up for out-of-plane displacement measurement is described and used for fracture mechanics studies and vibration analysis. Finally, a set-up for simultaneous measurement of all three displacement components is described.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a novel interferometric technique for 3-D displacement measurement. The method is based on the analysis of the phase difference distribution measured when two coherent curved wavefronts originating from different locations interfere. Both the in-plane and out-of-plane displacements are found simultaneously from a single phase difference distribution. We find that our system could measure with an accuracy better than 1.5 μm for in-plane displacements and 36 μm for out-of-plane displacements over 1 mm range. This accuracy was limited by the output lens performance. Theoretical analysis reveals that sub-micron accuracy may be possible with more careful calibration.  相似文献

The fine grid technique has been a standard engineering tool for measuring large strains for many years. The sample surface is marked with a grid, and the deformation of this grid allows the deformation of the sample to be monitored. However, it has never been easy quantitatively to analyse the strain across the whole of a specimen's surface. We describe here an automated approach in which digitised images of a sample prepared with a grid are analysed by the Fourier transform method. This provides phase maps which, when unwrapped, yield planes representing the two in-plane specimen coordinates. An iterative technique follows these deforming planes from one frame to the next as the specimen deforms, allowing displacement fields to be calculated. Numerical differentiation gives strains across the specimen surface. Gerchberg iteration is used to provide immunity to errors resulting from holes or tears in the specimen surface. The method is demonstrated on a propellant simulant containing burn holes (a cylinder of diameter 10 mm; grid PITCH = 76 μm), loaded in compression across a diameter. All in-plane components of strain are calculated up to strains of approximately one-third. Displacement accuracy is of order 1 μm.  相似文献

The peak absorption coefficients for two near-infrared absorptions of monomethylhydrazine, CH3-N2H3, (MMH) were measured. Absorption bands located at 1.524 μm (6560 cm-1), 1.557 μm (6423 cm-1), and 1.583 μm (6316 cm-1) are assigned to the υ = 2 overtones of the infrared N-H stretching fundamentals at 3317, 3245 and 3177 cm-1. An absorption band located at 1.04 μm (9620±100 cm-1) is assigned to the υ = 3 overtone of one of these fundamentals. The peak absorption coefficients (10) at 1.524 μm (6560±20 cm-1) and 1.04 μm (9620±100 cm-1) are 31 × 10-3 and 0.97 × 10-3 (cm atm)-1, respectively. Uncertainties in these coefficients were estimated to be less than ±20% due primarily to uncertainties in the partial vapor pressure of MMH.  相似文献

The anomalous eμ and 2-prong μx events produced in e+e annihilation are used to determine the properties of the proposed τ charged lepton. We find the τ mass is 1.90 ± 0.10 GeV/c2; the mass of the associated neutrino, ντ, is less than 0.6 GeV/c2 with 95% confidence; V - A coupling is favored over V + A coupling for the τ − ντ current; and the leptonic branching ratios are 0.186 ± 0.010 ± 0.028 from the eμ events and 0.175 ± 0.027 ± 0.030 from the μx events where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic.  相似文献

Measurements are presented of the angular distribution of four wavelengths of light scattered by a one-dimensional random rough surface, whose probability density function is Gaussian with a standard deviation σ=1.22±0.02 μm and whose lateral correlation function is also Gaussian with 1/e width τ=3.17±0.07 μm. The wavelengths used are 0.63, 1.15, 3.39 and 10.6 μm. The surface is used in two forms: coated with gold and as an almost lossless dielectric. The results are compared to those predicted by a double scattering form of the Kirchhoff formulation. Agreement is good at small angles of incidence but less good at larger angles of incidence.  相似文献

Pulsed optical stimulation of luminescence has been used to study the thermal dependence of luminescence lifetimes in quartz over the temperature range 20–200°C. Time-resolved spectra for lifetime analysis were recorded from samples of quartz over a dynamic range of 64 μs following stimulation of luminescence by pulsed 525 nm green light emitting diodes (LEDs) using an 11 μs pulse and 12% duty cycle. It has been demonstrated that an increase in measurement temperature generally leads to a decrease in lifetimes from about 30 μs at 20°C to about 7 μs at 200°C. The form of the decrease is influenced by the initial optical or thermal pre-treatment of samples.  相似文献

This paper describes an optical system for high temperature creep strain measurement using quartz optical fiber, super long working distance microscope and digital image processing techniques. In this system one end of the quartz optical fibers is arrayed in a small area on the specimen surface and the other end is illuminated by a laser beam. The fiber ends on the specimen surface form the spot array. The small optical spots on the specimen are tracked by a CCD camera and the images are processed by digital image processing software. The diameter of each quartz fiber is 100 μm and the fibers can be arrayed in a small area. The local strains are determined by measuring the variety of relative distance between two spots. Experimental results of local creep strain on the welding joints of 15CrMo and HK40 at 850°C are obtained.  相似文献

The paper describes experiments concerning distance measurement with fiber-optic sensor and improvement of the measurement principle. The sensor probe was well-designed with a small structure and multi-function. The novel optical fiber probe arrangement as well as the possibilities of use for complex measurement problems are explained using the measurement of an internal screw thread as an example. The experimental results show that the measurement uncertainty of the thread minor diameter can reach ±10 μm, and the stability of the measurement system is better than 0.07%.  相似文献

Simultaneous strain and temperature measurement for advanced 3-D braided composite materials using fibre-optic sensor technology is demonstrated, for the first time. These advanced 3-D braided composites can virtually eliminate the most serious problem of delamination for conventional composites. A tandem in-fibre Bragg-grating (FBG)/extrinsic Fabry–Perot interferometric sensor (EFPI) system with improved accuracy has been used to facilitate simultaneous temperature and strain measurement in this work. The non-symmetric distortion of the optical spectrum of the FBG, due to the combination of the FBG and the EFPI, is observed for the first time. Experimental and theoretical studies indicate that this type of distortion can affect the measurement accuracy seriously and it is mainly caused by the modulation of the periodic output of the EFPI. A simple method has been demonstrated to improve the accuracy for detection of the wavelength-shift of the FBG induced by temperature change. A strain accuracy of ±20μ and a temperature accuracy of ±1°C have been achieved, which can meet the requirements for practical applications of 3-D braided composites.  相似文献

The magnetic structure of MnPd3 has been refined using improved crystal structure data for the I4/mmm space group. The magnetic moment on Pd atoms coupled antiparallel to the Mn moments of 4.1 ± 0.3 μB was found by neutron diffraction to be 0.15 ± 0.03 μB in the 4(c) and 4(e) positions. The Pd moments on the 4(d) sites are assumed to be zero on symmetry grounds.  相似文献

提供了一种可将离面位移与面内位移分离的三维位移场测量方法.在双光束电子散斑干涉中增加参考光,使这一路参考光为两光束所共用.两束光各自独立地对变形物体进行测量,结合相移技术,可分别得到包含离面和面内位移信息的二幅位相图.只需简单的位相运算就能够将面内位移场与离面位移场分离.在竖直方向上,采用两光束对称照明被测物,直接测量面内位移竖直方向分量.本文将该技术应用到柴油机油泵测量上,得到了油泵的三维位移场.该技术为三维位移场的测量提供了一种新的有效途径,也为柴油机零部件的强度和刚度分析评价提供了新的方法.  相似文献

The similarity between the weak interactions of electron and muon is extended to the principle that all e and μ interactions in gauge models are invariant under e ↔ μ exchange. This necessitates the existence of two Higgs doublets φe and φμ, and an extended e ↔ μ permutation invariance. After symmetry-breaking, a multiplicatively conserved “permutation parity” π = ± 1 for all particles naturally emerges, with πμ = −πe = 1. The model forbids μ → eγ but predicts ee → μμ mediated by π = −1 Higgs bosons at 10−11 times the rate of typical weak cross sections.  相似文献

Energies and lorentzian widths of pionic K X-ray transitions have been measured in liquid 3He with improved accuracy. The strong interaction on the π3He 1s level is found to be attractive and to produce an increase in the K transition energies of 34 ± 4 eV; the measured lorentzian width is 36 ±7 eV. Measured values are also presented for K X-ray energies in liquid π4He and μ4He, the lorentzian width of the 1s level in π4He, and relative intensities of K X-ray transitions in π3He, π4He and μ4He. The measurements are compared with those of others and with recent theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Muon-induced fission of 232Th and 238U was studied, measuring the time correlation between stopping muons, fission events and electrons.

The measured muon lifetimes are τμ(232Th) = 77.3±0.3 ns and τμ(238U) = 77.1±0.2 ns. After prompt fission the muon was found to be attached predominantly to the heavy fragment with a lifetime for 232Th of 132±7 ns and for 238U of 134±4 ns. The probability for muon conversion was found to be a few percent per fission event.

Indications were found that the muonic shape isomer is populated in 238U when the nucleus is excited in a radiationless muonic transition.  相似文献

High-quality epitaxial YBa2Cu3O7−δ (F) films were grown directly on r-plane (1 02) sapphire by a pulsed laser deposition technique using a multiphase fluorinated target. X-ray diffraction data showed that the film is highly c-axis oriented and in-plane aligned. The c-axis and in-plane mosaic spread are 1.1° and 2.4°, respectively. The microwave surface resistance measured by a con-focal resonator configuration is 56 mΩ at 94.1 GHz at 77 K which is the best reported value for a YBCO film on sapphire.

The improved film quality is attributed to the fluorine which is transported from the target to the growing surface of the film where it acts as an etching and/or catalytic agent to preferentially remove defects and second phase impurities and to promote better in-plane epitaxy.  相似文献

We report room temperature (20 °C) continuous-wave operation of 1.55 μm vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting lasers. The optically pumped monolithic InP-based structure, grown by metal–organic chemical vapor deposition, includes a InP/InGaAsP Bragg reflector, and an active region with strain compensated quantum wells. Output power up to 4 mW is obtained at 0 °C. The thermal impedance of the structure is deduced from the experimental data.  相似文献

The problem of retrieval of size and refractive index of a spherical particle by angular dependence of scattered light in scanning flow cytometry is considered. For its solution, the high-order neural networks are used. We restricted the range of angles available for measurement from 10° to 60°. The retrieval errors of characteristics of nonabsorbing particles were investigated at the ranges of the radius and relative refractive index 0.6–10.6 μm, and 1.02–1.38, respectively.  相似文献

Ion bombardment induced magnetic patterning (IBMP) was used to write in-plane magnetized micro and submicron patterns in exchange biased magnetic bilayers, where the magnetization directions of the adjacent patterns are antiparallel to each other in remanence. These magnetic patterns were investigated by non-contact magnetic force microscopy (MFM). It is shown that the recorded MFM images of the IBMP patterns in two exemplarily chosen standard layer systems (NiFe (4.8 nm)/NiO (68 nm) and Co (4.8 nm)/NiO (68 nm)) can be well described by a model within the point-dipole approximation for the tip magnetization. For 5 and 0.9 μm wide bar patterns the domain wall widths between adjacent magnetically patterned areas were determined to a≈1 μm. The minimum magnetically stable pattern width was estimated to be 0.7 μm in the standard system Co (4.8 nm)/NiO (68 nm).  相似文献

A High Resolution Fiber Bragg Grating Resonator Strain Sensing System   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A strain sensing system is demonstrated, consisting of a fiber Bragg grating resonator as the strain-sensing element. Signal encoding and decoding is achieved by a synthetic heterodyne technique. A strain accuracy of ±0.426 μεwas attained; a value comparable to that of the classical fiber Fabry Perot (FFP) sensor and higher than conventional Bragg grating strain sensing schemes. This sensing element does not suffer from fabrication problems like the FFP sensor and the interrogation problems of the conventional Bragg grating sensor.  相似文献
