In this paper, the variable-coefficient diffusion–advection(DA) equation, which arises in modeling various physical phenomena, is studied by the Lie symmetry approach. The similarity reductions are derived by determining the complete sets of point symmetries of this equation, and then exact and numerical solutions are reported for the reduced second-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Further, an extended(G /G)-expansion method is applied to the DA equation to construct some new non-traveling wave solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, the short-wave model equations are investigated, which are associated with the Camassa- Holm (CH) and Degasperis Procesi (DP) shallow-water wave equations. Firstly, by means of the transformation of the independent variables and the travelling wave transformation, the partial differential equation is reduced to an ordinary differential equation. Secondly, the equation is solved by homotopy analysis method. Lastly, by the transformatioas back to the original independent variables, the solution of the original partial differential equation is obtained. The two types of solutions of the short-wave models are obtained in parametric form, one is one-cusp soliton for the CH equation while the other one is one-loop soliton for the DP equation. The approximate analytic solutions expressed by a series of exponential functions agree well with the exact solutions. It demonstrates the validity and great potential of homotopy analysis method for complicated nonlinear solitary wave problems.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to obtain the approximate analytical solution of a fractional Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation by using homotopy perturbation method (HPM). The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. Several examples are given and the results are compared to exact solutions. The results reveal that the method is very effective and simple.  相似文献

In this paper, an explicit Bgcklund transformation (BT) of the Burgers equation is obtained by using the further extended tanh method [Phys. Lett. A 307 (2003) 269; Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 17 (2003) 669]. Based on the BT and some newly obtained seed solutions, infinite sequences of exact solutions for the Burgers equation are generated. Further more, this BT of the Burgers equation is applied to solve the variant Boussinesq equations and the approximate equations of long water wave.  相似文献

The Ablowitz-Ladik equation is a very important model in nonlinear mathematical physics. In this paper, the hyper- bolic function solitary wave solutions, the trigonometric function periodic wave solutions, and the rational wave solutions with more arbitrary parameters of two-dimensional Ablowitz-Ladik equation are derived by using the (GI/G)-expansion method, and the effects of the parameters (including the coupling constant and other parameters) on the linear stability of the exact solutions are analysed and numerically simulated.  相似文献

In this paper, the modified CK's direct method to find symmetry groups of nonlinear partial differential equation is extended to (2+1)-dimensional variable coeffficient canonical generalized KP (VCCGKP) equation. As a result, symmetry groups, Lie point symmetry group and Lie symmetry for the VCCGKP equation are obtained. In fact, the Lie point symmetry group coincides with that obtained by the standard Lie group approach. Applying the given Lie symmetry, we obtain five types of similarity reductions and a lot of new exact solutions, including hyperbolic function solutions, triangular periodic solutions, Jacobi elliptic function solutions and rational solutions, for the VCCGKP equation.  相似文献

The sinh-Gordon equation expansion method is further extended by generMizing the sinh-Gordon equation and constructing new ansatz solution of the considered equation. As its application, the (2+1)-dimensional Konopelchenko-Dubrovsky equation is investigated and abundant exact travelling wave solutions are explicitly obtained including solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions and Jacobi elliptic doubly periodic function solutions, some of which are new exact solutions that we have never seen before within our knowledge. The method can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

The symmetries, symmetry reductions, and exact solutions of a coupled nonlinear Schrodinger (CNLS) equation derived from the governing system for atmospheric gravity waves are researched by means of classical Lie group approach in this paper. Calculation shows the CNLS equation is invariant under some Galilean transformations, scaling transformations, phase shifts, and space-time translations. Some ordinary differential equations are derived from the CNLS equation. Several exact solutions including envelope cnoidal waves, solitary waves and trigonometric function solutions for the CNLS equation are also obtained by making use of symmetries.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate some exact soliton solutions for a generalized variable-coefficients nonlinear SchrSdinger equation (NLS) with an arbitrary time-dependent linear potential which describes the dynamics of soliton solutions in quasi-one-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensations. Under some reasonable assumptions, one-soliton and two-soliton solutions are constructed analytically by the Hirota method. From our results, some previous one- and two- soliton solutions for some NLS-type equations can be recovered by some appropriate selection of the various parameters. Some figures are given to demonstrate some properties of the one- and the two-soliton and the discussion about the integrability property and the Hirota method is given finally.  相似文献

In this paper, based on hyperbolic tanh-function method and homogeneous balance method, and auxiliary equation method, some new exact solitary solutions to the generalized mKdV equation and generalized Zakharov--Kuzentsov equation are constructed by the method of auxiliary equation with function transformation with aid of symbolic computation system Mathematica. The method is of important significance in seeking new exact solutions to the evolution equation with arbitrary nonlinear term.  相似文献

In this article, a novel (G'/G)-expansion method is proposed to search for the traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. We construct abundant traveling wave solutions involving parameters to the Boussinesq equation by means of the suggested method. The performance of the method is reliable and useful, and gives more general exact solutions than the existing methods. The new (G'/G)-expansion method provides not only more general forms of solutions but also cuspon, peakon, soliton, and periodic waves.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the symmetry method, the relationships between new explicit solutions and old ones of the (2+1)-dimensional Kaup-Kupershmidt (KK) equation are presented. We successfully obtain more general exact travelling wave solutions for (2+ 1)-dimensional KK equation by the symmetry method and the (G1/G)-expansion method. Consequently, we find some new solutions of (2+1)-dimensional KK equation, including similarity solutions, solitary wave solutions, and periodic solutions.  相似文献

Based on a transformed Painlev~ property and the variable separated ODE method, a function transfor- mation method is proposed to search for exact solutions of some partial differential equations (PDEs) with hyperbolic or exponential functions. This approach provides a more systematical and convenient handling of the solution process of this kind of nonlinear equations. Its key point is to eradicate the hyperbolic or exponential terms by a transformed Painleve property and reduce the given PDEs to a variable-coefficient the resulting equations by some methods. As an application, are formally derived. ordinary differential equations, then we seek for solutions to exact solutions for the combined sinh-cosh-Gordon equation  相似文献

In this paper, a new auxiliary equation method is presented of constructing more new non-travelling wave solutions of nonlinear differential equations in mathematical physics, which is direct and more powerful than projective Riccati equation method. In order to illustrate the validity and the advantages of the method, (2+1)-dimensional asymmetric Nizhnik-Novikov-Vesselov equation is employed and many new double periodic non-travelling wave solutions are obtained. This algorithm can also be applied to other nonlinear differential equations.  相似文献

The purpose of the present paper is twofold. First, the projective Riccati equations (PREs for short) are resolved by means of a linearized theorem, which was known in the literature. Based on the signs and values of coeffcients of PREs, the solutions with two arbitrary parameters of PREs can be expressed by the hyperbolic functions, the trigonometric functions, and the rational functions respectively, at the same time the relation between the components of each solution to PREs is also implemented. Second, more new travelling wave solutions for some nonlinear PDEs, such as the Burgers equation, the mKdV equation, the NLS^+ equation, new Hamilton amplitude equation, and so on, are obtained by using Sub-ODE method, in which PREs are taken as the Sub-ODEs. The key idea of this method is that the travelling wave solutions of nonlinear PDE can be expressed by a polynomial in two variables, which are the components of each solution to PREs, provided that the homogeneous balance between the higher order derivatives and nonlinear terms in the equation is considered.  相似文献

In this paper, by means of double elliptic equation expansion approach, the novel double nonlinear wave solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional break soliton equation are obtained. These double nonlinear wave solutions contain the double Jacobi elliptic function-like solutions, the double solitary wave-like solutions, and so on. The method is also powerful to some other nonlinear wave equations in (2+1) dimensions.  相似文献

In this short note, a new projective equation (Ф = σФ + Ф^2) is used to obtain the variable separation solutions with two arbitrary functions of the (2+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Manna Pempinelli system (BLMP). Based on the derived solitary wave solution and by selecting appropriate functions, some novel localized excitations such as multi dromion-solitoffs and fractal-solitons are investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct exact solutions for the (2+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Pempinelle equation by using the (G′/G)-expansion method, and with the help of Maple. As a result, non-travelling wave solutions with three arbitrary functions are obtained including hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions, and rational solutions. This method can be applied to other higher-dimensional nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献

A (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear partial differential evolution (NLPDE) equation is presented as a model equation for relaxing high-rate processes in active barothropic media. With the aid of symbolic computation and Hirota's method, some typical solitary wave solutions to this (2+1)-dimensional NLPDE equation are unearthed. As a result, depending on the dissipative parameter, single and multivalued solutions are depicted.  相似文献

Some doubly-periodic solutions of the Zakharov--Kuznetsov equation are presented. Our approach is to introduce an auxiliary ordinary differential equation and use its Jacobi elliptic function solutions to construct doubly-periodic solutions of the Zakharov--Kuznetsov equation, which has been derived by Gottwald as a two-dimensional model for nonlinear Rossby waves. When the modulus k \rightarrow 1, these solutions reduce to the solitary wave solutions of the equation.  相似文献
