The elusive phosphinidene-chlorotetrylenes, [PGeCl] and [PSiCl] have been stabilized by the hetero-bileptic cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene (cAAC), N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands, and isolated in the solid state at room temperature as the first neutral monomeric species of this class with the general formulae (L)P-ECl(L′) (E=Ge, 3 a – 3 c ; E=Si, 6 ; L=cAAC; L′=NHC). Compounds 3 a – 3 c have been synthesized by the reaction of cAAC-supported potassium phosphinidenides [cAAC=PK(THF)x]n ( 1 a – 1 c ) with the adduct NHC:→GeCl2 ( 2 ). Similarly, compound 6 has been synthesized via reaction of 1 a with NHC:→SiCl2 adduct ( 4 ). Compounds 3 a – 3 c , and 6 have been structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometric analysis. DFT calculations revealed that the heteroatom P in 3 bears two lone pairs; the non-bonding pair with 67.8 % of s- and 32 % of p character, whereas the other lone pair is involved in π backdonation to the CcAAC-N π* of cAAC. The Ge atom in 3 contains a lone pair with 80 % of s character, and slightly involved in the π backdonation to CNHC. EDA-NOCV analyses showed that two charged doublet fragments {(cAAC)(NHC)}+, and {PGeCl} prefer to form one covalent electron-sharing σ bond, one dative σ bond, one dative π bond, and a charge polarized weak π bond. The covalent electron-sharing σ bond contributes to the major stabilization energy to the total orbital interaction energy of 3 , enabling the first successful isolations of this class of compounds ( 3 , 6 ) in the laboratory.  相似文献

[ReNCl2(PPh3)2] and [ReNCl2(PMe2Ph)3] react with the N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) 1,3,4‐triphenyl‐1,2,4‐triazol‐5‐ylidene (HLPh) under formation of the stable rhenium(V) nitrido complex [ReNCl(HLPh)(LPh)], which contains one of the two NHC ligands with an additional orthometallation. The rhenium atom in the product is five‐coordinate with a distorted square‐pyramidal coordination sphere. The position trans to the nitrido ligand is blocked by one phenyl ring of the monodentate HLPh ligand. The Re–C(carbene) bond lengths of 2.072(6) and 2.074(6) Å are comparably long and indicate mainly σ‐bonding between the NHC ligand and the electron deficient d2 metal atom. The chloro ligand in [ReNCl(HLPh)(LPh)] is labile and can be replaced by ligands such as pseudohalides or monoanionic thiolates such as diphenyldithiophosphinate (Ph2PS2?) or pyridine‐2‐thiolate (pyS?). X‐ray structure analyses of [ReN(CN)(HLPh)(LPh)] and [ReN(pyS)(HLPh)(LPh)] show that the bonding situation of the NHC ligands (Re–C(carbene) distances between 2.086(3) and 2.130(3) Å) in the product is not significantly influenced by the ligand exchange. The potentially bidentate pyS? ligand is solely coordinated via its thiolato functionality. Hydrogen atoms of each one of the phenyl rings come close to the unoccupied sixth coordination positions of the rhenium atoms in the solid state structures of all complexes. Re–H distances between 2.620 and 2.712Å do not allow to discuss bonding, but with respect to the strong trans labilising influence of “N3?”, weak interactions are indicated.  相似文献

The addition of BCl3 to the carbene‐transfer reagent NHC→SiCl4 (NHC=1,3‐dimethylimidazolidin‐2‐ylidene) gave the tetra‐ and pentacoordinate trichlorosilicon(IV) cations [(NHC)SiCl3]+ and [(NHC)2SiCl3]+ with tetrachloroborate as counterion. This is in contrast to previous reactions, in which NHC→SiCl4 served as a transfer reagent for the NHC ligand. The addition of BF3 ? OEt2, on the other hand, gave NHC→BF3 as the product of NHC transfer. In addition, the highly Lewis acidic bis(pentafluoroethyl)silane (C2F5)2SiCl2 was treated with NHC→SiCl4. In acetonitrile, the cationic silicon(IV) complexes [(NHC)SiCl3]+ and [(NHC)2SiCl3]+ were detected with [(C2F5)SiCl3]? as counterion. A similar result was already reported for the reaction of NHC→SiCl4 with (C2F5)2SiH2, which gave [(NHC)2SiCl2H][(C2F5)SiCl3]. If the reaction medium was changed to dichloromethane, the products of carbene transfer, NHC→Si(C2F5)2Cl2 and NHC→Si(C2F5)2ClH, respectively, were obtained instead. The formation of the latter species is a result of chloride/hydride metathesis. These compounds may serve as valuable precursors for electron‐poor silylenes. Furthermore, the reactivity of NHC→SiCl4 towards phosphines is discussed. The carbene complex NHC→PCl3 shows similar reactivity to NHC→SiCl4, and may even serve as a carbene‐transfer reagent as well.  相似文献

Reactions of the oxorhenium(V) complexes [ReOX3(PPh3)2] (X = Cl, Br) with the N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) 1,3,4‐triphenyl‐1,2,4‐triazol‐5‐ylidene (LPh) under mild conditions and in the presence of MeOH or water give [ReOX2(Y)(PPh3)(LPh)] complexes (X = Cl, Br; Y = OMe, OH). Attempted reactions of the carbene precursor 5‐methoxy‐1,3,4‐triphenyl‐4,5‐dihydro‐1H‐1,2,4‐triazole ( 1 ) with [ReOCl3(PPh3)2] or [NBu4][ReOCl4] in boiling xylene resulted in protonation of the intermediately formed carbene and decomposition products such as [HLPh][ReOCl4(OPPh3)], [HLPh][ReOCl4(OH2)] or [HLPh][ReO4] were isolated. The neutral [ReOX2(Y)(PPh3)(HLPh)] complexes are purple, airstable solids. The bulky NHC ligands coordinate monodentate and in cis‐position to PPh3. The relatively long Re–C bond lengths of approximate 2.1Å indicate metal‐carbon single bonds.  相似文献

The N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) adducts Zn(CpR)2(NHC)] (CpR=C5HMe4, C5H4SiMe3; NHC=ItBu, IDipp (Dipp=2,6‐diisopropylphenyl), IMes (Mes=mesityl), SIMes) were prepared and shown to be active catalysts for the hydrogenation of imines, whereas decamethylzincocene [ZnCp*2] is highly active for the hydrogenation of ketones in the presence of noncoordinating NHCs. The abnormal carbene complex [Zn(OCHPh2)2(aItBu)]2 was formed from spontaneous rearrangement of the ItBu ligand during incomplete hydrogenation of benzophenone. Two isolated ZnI adducts [Zn2Cp*2(NHC)] (NHC=ItBu, SIMes) are presented and characterized as weak adducts on the basis of 13C NMR spectroscopic and X‐ray diffraction experiments. A mechanistic proposal for the reduction of [ZnCp*2] with H2 to give [Zn2Cp*2] is discussed.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of the first bis‐N‐heterocyclic carbene stabilized monomeric silicon disulfide (bis‐NHC)SiS2 2 (bis‐NHC=H2C[{NC(H)C(H)N(Dipp)}C:]2, Dipp=2,6‐iPr2C6H3) is reported. Compound 2 is prepared in 89 % yield from the reaction of the zero‐valent silicon complex (′silylone′) 1 [(bis‐NHC)Si] with elemental sulfur. Compound 2 can react with GaCl3 in acetonitrile to give the corresponding (bis‐NHC)Si(S)S→GaCl3 Lewis acid–base adduct 3 in 91 % yield. Compound 3 is also accessible through the reaction of the unprecedented silylone‐GaCl3 adduct [(bis‐NHC)Si→GaCl3] 4 with elemental sulfur. Compounds 2 , 3 , and 4 could be isolated and characterized by elemental analyses, HR‐MS, IR, 13C‐ and 29Si‐NMR spectroscopy. The structures of 3 and 4 could be determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses. DFT‐derived bonding analyses of 2 and 3 exhibited highly polar Si S bonds with moderate pπ–pπ bonding character.  相似文献

Salts of a copper and a silver carbene complex were prepared from dimesityl diazomethane, made possible by the steric shielding of the N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ancillary ligand IPr**. The mint‐green complex [IPr**Ag=CMes2]+[NTf2]? is the first isolated silver carbene complex without heteroatom donor substituents. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction provides evidence for a predominant carbenoid character, and supports the postulation of such reactive species as intermediates in silver‐catalyzed C? H activation reactions. The greenish yellow copper carbene complex [IPr**Cu=CMes2]+[NTf2]? has spectroscopic properties in between the isostructural silver complex and the already reported emerald green gold carbene complex. A comparison in the Group 11 series indicates that relativistic effects are responsible for the strong σ bond and the significant π back‐bonding in the gold carbene moiety.  相似文献

The phenylimidorhenium(V) complexes [Re(NPh)X3(PPh3)2] (X = Cl, Br) react with the N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) 1,3‐diethyl‐4,5‐dimethylimidazole‐2‐ylidene (LEt) under formation of the stable rhenium(V) complex cations [Re(NPh)X(LEt)4]2+ (X = Cl, Br), which can be isolated as their chloride or [PF6]? salts. The compounds are remarkably stable against air, moisture and ligand exchange. The hydroxo species [Re(NPh)(OH)(LEt)4]2+ is formed when moist solvents are used during the synthesis. The rhenium atoms in all three complexes are coordinated in a distorted octahedral fashion with the four NHC ligands in equatorial planes of the molecules. The Re–C(carbene) bond lengths between 2.171(8) and 2.221(3) Å indicate mainly σ‐bonding between the NHC ligand and the electron deficient d2 metal atoms. Attempts to prepare analogous phenylimido complexes from [Re(NPh)Cl3(PPh3)2] and 1,3‐diisopropyl‐4,5‐dimethylimidazole‐2‐ylidene (Li?Pr) led to a cleavage of the rhenium‐nitrogen multiple bond and the formation of the dioxo complex [ReO2(Li?Pr)4]+.  相似文献

The first manganese complex bearing a chiral N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand was prepared and studied by spectroscopic methods and X-ray diffraction. While IR spectroscopy revealed the existence of two isomers in solution with distinct νCO band patterns, DFT calculations indicated that these isomers correspond to rotamers around the Mn−NHC bond and their different spectroscopic properties were rationalized by the occurrence of attractive π(C=C)⋅⋅⋅π*(C≡O) or σ(C−H)⋅⋅⋅π*(C≡O) intramolecular interligand interactions. The evaluation of this complex in catalytic hydrosilylation of acetophenone using Ph2SiH2 under UV irradiation led to the formation of the corresponding (R)-alcohol with low enantioselectivity.  相似文献

In contrast to cyclic π‐conjugated hydrocarbons, the coordination chemistry of inorganic heterocycles is less developed. Dicarbondiphosphides stabilized by N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) NHC→C2P2←NHC ( 1 a , b ) (NHC=IPr or SIPr) contain a four‐membered C2P2 ring with an aromatic 6π‐electron configuration. These heterocycles coordinate to a variety of complex fragments with metals from groups 6, 9, and 10, namely [M0(CO)3] (M=Cr, Mo), [CoI(CO)2]+, or [NiIIBr2], through an η4‐coordination mode, leading to complexes 2 a , b , 3 a , b , 5 a , b , and 6 a , b , respectively. These complexes were characterized by X‐ray diffraction methods using single crystals, IR spectroscopy, and DFT calculations. In combination these methods indicate that 1 a , b behave as exceptionally strong 6π‐electron donors.  相似文献

Deprotonation of the MnI NHC‐phosphine complex fac‐[MnBr(CO)32P,C‐Ph2PCH2NHC)] ( 2 ) under a H2 atmosphere readily gives the hydride fac‐[MnH(CO)32P,C‐Ph2PCH2NHC)] ( 3 ) via the intermediacy of the highly reactive 18‐e NHC‐phosphinomethanide complex fac‐[Mn(CO)33P,C,C‐Ph2PCHNHC)] ( 6 a ). DFT calculations revealed that the preferred reaction mechanism involves the unsaturated 16‐e mangana‐substituted phosphonium ylide complex fac‐[Mn(CO)32P,C‐Ph2P=CHNHC)] ( 6 b ) as key intermediate able to activate H2 via a non‐classical mode of metal‐ligand cooperation implying a formal λ5‐P–λ3‐P phosphorus valence change. Complex 2 is shown to be one of the most efficient pre‐catalysts for ketone hydrogenation in the MnI series reported to date (TON up to 6200).  相似文献

The addition of PPh2H, PPhMeH, PPhH2, P(para-Tol)H2, PMesH2 and PH3 to the two-coordinate Ni0 N-heterocyclic carbene species [Ni(NHC)2] (NHC=IiPr2, IMe4, IEt2Me2) affords a series of mononuclear, terminal phosphido nickel complexes. Structural characterisation of nine of these compounds shows that they have unusual trans [H−Ni−PR2] or novel trans [R2P−Ni−PR2] geometries. The bis-phosphido complexes are more accessible when smaller NHCs (IMe4>IEt2Me2>IiPr2) and phosphines are employed. P−P activation of the diphosphines R2P−PR2 (R2=Ph2, PhMe) provides an alternative route to some of the [Ni(NHC)2(PR2)2] complexes. DFT calculations capture these trends with P−H bond activation proceeding from unconventional phosphine adducts in which the H substituent bridges the Ni−P bond. P−P bond activation from [Ni(NHC)2(Ph2P−PPh2)] adducts proceeds with computed barriers below 10 kcal mol−1. The ability of the [Ni(NHC)2] moiety to afford isolable terminal phosphido products reflects the stability of the Ni−NHC bond that prevents ligand dissociation and onward reaction.  相似文献

Reaction of the arylchlorosilylene‐NHC adduct ArSi(NHC)Cl [Ar=2,6‐Trip2C6H3; NHC=(MeC)2(NMe)2C:] 1 with one molar equiv of lithium diphenylphosphanide affords the first stable NHC‐stabilized acyclic phosphinosilylene adduct 2 (ArSi(NHC)PPh2), which could be structurally characterized. Compound 2 , when reacted with one molar equiv selenium and sulfur, affords the silanechalcogenones 4 a and 4 b (ArSi(NHC)(?E)PPh2, 4 a : E=Se, 4 b : E=S), respectively. Conversion of 2 with an excess of Se and S, through additional insertion of one chalcogen atom into the Si?P bond, leads to 3 a and 3 b (ArSi(NHC)(?E)‐E‐P(?E)Ph2, 3 a : E=Se, 3 b : E=S), respectively. Additionally, the exposure of 2 to N2O or CO2 yielded the isolable NHC‐stabilized silanone 4 c , Ar(NHC)(Ph2P)Si?O.  相似文献

The dative‐bond representation (L→E) in compounds with main group elements (E) has triggered extensive debate in the recent past. The scope and limits of this nonclassical coordination bond warrant comprehensive exploration. Particularly compounds with (L→N←L′)+ arrangement are of special interest because of their therapeutic importance. This work reports the design and synthesis of novel chemical species with the general structural formula (L→N←L′)+ carrying the unusual ligand cyclohexa‐2,5‐diene‐4‐(diaminomethynyl)‐1‐ylidene. Four species belonging to the (L→N←L′)+ class carrying this unconventional ligand were synthesized. Quantum chemical and X‐ray diffraction analyses showed that the electronic and geometric parameters are consistent with those of already reported divalent NI compounds. The molecular orbital analysis, geometric parameters, and spectral data clearly support the L→N and N←L′ interactions in these species. The newly identified ligand has the properties of a reactive carbene and high nucleophilicity.  相似文献

C−O bond activation of DPEphos occurs upon mild heating in the presence of [Ru(NHC)2(PPh3)2H2] (NHC=N-heterocyclic carbene) to form phosphinophenolate products. When NHC=IEt2Me2, C−O activation is accompanied by C−N activation of an NHC ligand to yield a coordinated N-phosphino-functionalised carbene. DFT calculations define a nucleophilic mechanism in which a hydride ligand attacks the aryl carbon of the DPEphos C−O bond. This is promoted by the strongly donating NHC ligands which render a trans dihydride intermediate featuring highly nucleophilic hydride ligands accessible. C−O bond activation also occurs upon heating cis-[Ru(DPEphos)2H2]. DFT calculations suggest this reaction is promoted by the steric encumbrance associated with two bulky DPEphos ligands. Our observations that facile degradation of the DPEphos ligand via C−O bond activation is possible under relatively mild reaction conditions has potential ramifications for the use of this ligand in high-temperature catalysis.  相似文献

A total of 35 [Au(NHC)2][MX2] (NHC=N‐heterocyclic carbene; M=Au or Cu; X=halide, cyanide or arylacetylide) complex salts were synthesized by co‐precipitation of [Au(NHC)2]+ cations and [MX2]? anions. These salts contain crystallographically determined polymeric Au???Au or Au???Cu interactions and are highly phosphorescent with quantum yields up to unity and emission color tunable in the entire visible regions. The nature of the emissive excited states is generally assigned to ligand (anion)‐to‐ligand (cation) charge‐transfer transitions assisted by d10???d10 metallophilicity. The emission properties can be further tuned by controlled triple‐component co‐crystallization or by epitaxial growth. Correct recipes for white light‐emitting phosphors with quantum yields higher than 70 % have been achieved by screening the combinatorial pool.  相似文献

Amide-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursors such as azolium compounds have been designed and synthesized. Reaction of PdCl2(CH3CN)2 with the NHC-Ag complex derived from the azolium salt gave [(NHC)PdCl2]2 or (NHC)2PdCl2, whereas PdCl2(PPh3)2 reacted with the Ag complex to afford a mixed carbene/phosphine complex such as (NHC)(PPh3)PdCl2 together with a cationic [(NHC)(PPh3)2PdCl]+Cl whose structure was characterized by X-ray crystallographic studies. Thus, the library of NHC-Pd complexes with a tethered amide group has been successfully expanded.  相似文献

A common method to dissolve elemental gold involves the combination of an oxidant with a Lewis base that coordinates to the gold surface, thus lowering the metal's redox potential. Herein we report the usage of organic iodide salts, which provide both oxidative power and a coordinating ligand, to dissolve gold under formation of organo-gold complexes. The obtained products were identified as AuIII complexes, all featuring Au−C bonds, as shown by X-ray single-crystal analysis, and can be isolated in good yields. Additionally, our method provides direct access to N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC-type) complexes and avoids costly organometallic precursors. The investigated complexes show dynamic behavior in acetonitrile and in the case of the NHC(-type) complexes, the involved species could be identified as a monocarbene [AuI3(carbene)] and biscarbene complex [AuI2(carbene)2]+.  相似文献

Syntheses of the array of heterobimetallic complexes [(OC)3M(μ‐PPh2)2(μ‐OC(CHMe(CH2)2PPh2)RhL], M = Cr, Mo, W, L = tBuNC, are described, extending the previous study of the counterpart array for L = CO. A single crystal X‐ray structure determination is reported for the M = Mo adduct, enabling comparison with its previously reported L = CO counterpart, for which an improved redetermination is also reported. In the present complex the tBuNC ligand is found to be much more weakly bound (Rh‐C 2.026(5) Å) than the carbonyl group it displaces (Rh‐C 1.945(2) Å) with concomitant minor impact on the remainder of the rhodium ambience.  相似文献
