The complex cis‐[RuIII(dmbpy)2Cl2](PF6) ( 2 ) (dmbpy = 4, 4′‐dimethyl‐2, 2′‐bipyridine) was obtained from the reaction of cis‐[RuII(dmbpy)2Cl2] ( 1 ) with ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate followed by precipitation with saturated ammonium hexafluoridophosphate. The 1H NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex confirms the presence of paramagnetic metal atoms, whereas that of the RuII complex displays diamagnetism. The 31P NMR spectrum of the RuIII complex shows one signal for the phosphorus atom of the PF6 ion. The perspective view of each [RuII/III(dmbpy)2Cl2]0/+ unit manifests that the ruthenium atom is in hexacoordinate arrangement with two dmbpy ligands and two chlorido ligands in cis position. As the oxidation state of the central ruthenium metal atom becomes higher, the average Ru–Cl bond length decreases whereas the Ru–N (dmbpy) bond length increases. The cis‐positioned dichloro angle in RuIII is 1.3° wider than that in the RuII. The dihedral angles between pair of planar six‐membered pyridyl ring in the dmbpy ligand for the RuII are 4.7(5)° and 5.7(4)°. The observed inter‐planar angle between two dmbpy ligands in the RuII is 89.08(15)°, whereas the value for the RuIII is 85.46(20)°.  相似文献

The title complex, [Rh(C10H15)Cl(C14H12N2O4)]Cl·2C4H5NO3, has been synthesized by a substitution reaction of the precursor [bis(2,5‐dioxopyrrolidin‐1‐yl) 2,2′‐bipyridine‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate]chlorido(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)rhodium(III) chloride with NaOCH3. The RhIII cation is located in an RhC5N2Cl eight‐coordinated environment. In the crystal, 1‐hydroxypyrrolidine‐2,5‐dione (NHS) solvent molecules form strong hydrogen bonds with the Cl counter‐anions in the lattice and weak hydrogen bonds with the pentamethylcyclopentadienyl (Cp*) ligands. Hydrogen bonding between the Cp* ligands, the NHS solvent molecules and the Cl counter‐anions form links in a V‐shaped chain of RhIII complex cations along the c axis. Weak hydrogen bonds between the dimethyl 2,2′‐bipyridine‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate ligands and the Cl counter‐anions connect the components into a supramolecular three‐dimensional network. The synthetic route to the dimethyl 2,2′‐bipyridine‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate‐containing rhodium complex from the [bis(2,5‐dioxopyrrolidin‐1‐yl) 2,2′‐bipyridine‐4,4′‐dicarboxylate]rhodium(III) precursor may be applied to link Rh catalysts to the surface of electrodes.  相似文献

In order to realize artificial photosynthetic devices for splitting water to H2 and O2 (2 H2O+→2 H2+O2), it is desirable to use a wider wavelength range of light that extends to a lower energy region of the solar spectrum. Here we report a triruthenium photosensitizer [Ru3(dmbpy)6(μ‐HAT)]6+ (dmbpy=4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine, HAT=1,4,5,8,9,12‐hexaazatriphenylene), which absorbs near‐infrared light up to 800 nm based on its metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) transition. Importantly, [Ru3(dmbpy)6(μ‐HAT)]6+ is found to be the first example of a photosensitizer which can drive H2 evolution under the illumination of near‐infrared light above 700 nm. The electrochemical and photochemical studies reveal that the reductive quenching within the ion‐pair adducts of [Ru3(dmbpy)6(μ‐HAT)]6+ and ascorbate anions affords a singly reduced form of [Ru3(dmbpy)6(μ‐HAT)]6+, which is used as a reducing equivalent in the subsequent water reduction process.  相似文献

The bidentate P,N hybrid ligand 1 allows access for the first time to novel cationic phosphinine‐based RhIII and IrIII complexes, broadening significantly the scope of low‐coordinate aromatic phosphorus heterocycles for potential applications. The coordination chemistry of 1 towards RhIII and IrIII was investigated and compared with the analogous 2,2′‐bipyridine derivative, 2‐(2′‐pyridyl)‐4,6‐diphenylpyridine ( 2 ), which showed significant differences. The molecular structures of [RhCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl and [IrCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) were determined by means of X‐ray diffraction and confirm the mononuclear nature of the λ3‐phosphinine–RhIII and IrIII complexes. In contrast, a different reactivity and coordination behavior was found for the nitrogen analogue 2 , especially towards RhIII as a bimetallic ion pair [RhCl(Cp*)( 2 )]+[RhCl3(Cp*)]? is formed rather than a mononuclear coordination compound. [RhCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl and [IrCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl react with water regio‐ and diastereoselectively at the external P?C double bond, leading exclusively to the anti‐addition products [MCl(Cp*)( 1 H ? OH)]Cl as confirmed by X‐ray crystal‐structure determination.  相似文献

A mononuclear‐cobalt(II)‐substituted silicotungstate, K10[Co(H2O)2(γ‐SiW10O35)2] ? 23 H2O (POM‐ 1 ), has been evaluated as a light‐driven water‐oxidation catalyst. With in situ photogenerated [Ru(bpy)3]3+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) as the oxidant, quite high catalytic turnover number (TON; 313), turnover frequency (TOF; 3.2 s?1), and quantum yield (ΦQY; 27 %) for oxygen evolution at pH 9.0 were acquired. Comparison experiments with its structural analogues, namely [Ni(H2O)2(γ‐SiW10O35)2]10? (POM‐ 2 ) and [Mn(H2O)2(γ‐SiW10O35)2]10? (POM‐ 3 ), gave the conclusion that the cobalt center in POM‐ 1 is the active site. The hydrolytic stability of the title polyoxometalate (POM) was confirmed by extensive experiments, including UV/Vis spectroscopy, linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), and cathodic adsorption stripping analysis (CASA). As the [Ru(bpy)3]2+/visible light/sodium persulfate system was introduced, a POM–photosensitizer complex formed within minutes before visible‐light irradiation. It was demonstrated that this complex functioned as the active species, which remained intact after the oxygen‐evolution reaction. Multiple experimental parameters were investigated and the catalytic activity was also compared with the well‐studied POM‐based water‐oxidation catalysts (i.e., [Co4(H2O)2(α‐PW9O34)2]10? (Co4‐POM) and [CoIIICoII(H2O)W11O39]7? (Co2‐POM)) under optimum conditions.  相似文献

Photochemical CO2 reduction catalysed by trans(Cl)–Ru(bpy)(CO)2Cl2 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) efficiently produces carbon monoxide (CO) and formate (HCOO) in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA)/water containing [Ru(bpy)3]2+ as a photosensitizer and 1-benzyl-1,4-dihydronicotinamide (BNAH) as an electron donor. We have unexpectedly found catalyst concentration dependence of the product ratio (CO/HCOO) in the photochemical CO2 reduction: the ratio of CO/HCOO decreases with increasing catalyst concentration. The result has led us to propose a new mechanism in which HCOO is selectively produced by the formation of a Ru(i)–Ru(i) dimer as the catalyst intermediate. This reaction mechanism predicts that the Ru–Ru bond dissociates in the reaction of the dimer with CO2, and that the insufficient electron supply to the catalyst results in the dominant formation of HCOO. The proposed mechanism is supported by the result that the time-course profiles of CO and HCOO in the photochemical CO2 reduction catalysed by [Ru(bpy)(CO)2Cl]2 (0.05 mM) are very similar to those of the reduction catalysed by trans(Cl)–Ru(bpy)(CO)2Cl2 (0.10 mM), and that HCOO formation becomes dominant under low-intensity light. The kinetic analyses based on the proposed mechanism could excellently reproduce the unusual catalyst concentration effect on the product ratio. The catalyst concentration effect observed in the photochemical CO2 reduction using [Ru(4dmbpy)3]2+ (4dmbpy = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine) instead of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ as the photosensitizer is also explained with the kinetic analyses, reflecting the smaller quenching rate constant of excited [Ru(4dmbpy)3]2+ by BNAH than that of excited [Ru(bpy)3]2+. We have further synthesized trans(Cl)–Ru(6Mes-bpy)(CO)2Cl2 (6Mes-bpy = 6,6′-dimesityl-2,2′-bipyridine), which bears bulky substituents at the 6,6′-positions in the 2,2′-bipyridyl ligand, so that the ruthenium complex cannot form the dimer due to the steric hindrance. We have found that this ruthenium complex selectively produces CO, which strongly supports the catalytic mechanism proposed in this work.  相似文献

The complex [Ni(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) is an active catalyst for visible‐light‐driven H2 production from water when employed with [Ir(dfppy)2(Hdcbpy)] [dfppy=2‐(3,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine, Hdcbpy=4‐carboxy‐2,2′‐bipyridine‐4′‐carboxylate] as the photosensitizer and triethanolamine as the sacrificial electron donor. The highest turnover number of 520 with respect to the nickel(II) catalyst is obtained in a 8:2 acetonitrile/water solution at pH 9. The H2‐evolution system is more stable after the addition of an extra free bpy ligand, owing to faster catalyst regeneration. The photocatalytic results demonstrate that the nickel(II) polypyridyl catalyst can act as a more effective catalyst than the commonly utilized [Co(bpy)3]2+. This study may offer a new paradigm for constructing simple and noble‐metal‐free catalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen production.  相似文献

The title compound, [Pt2III(C5H10NO)2(SO4)2(C10H8N2)2]·4H2O, is the first reported example of a complex in which an amidate‐bridged Pt(bpy) dimer is stabilized in the oxidation level of PtIII (bpy is 2,2′‐bipyridine). The asymmetric unit consists of one half of the formula unit with a twofold axis passing through the center of the dimer. The intradimer PtIII—PtIII bond distance [2.5664 (6) Å] is comparable to those reported for α‐pyridonate‐bridged cis‐diammineplatinum(III) dimers [2.5401 (5)–2.5468 (8) Å; Hollis & Lippard (1983). Inorg. Chem. 22 , 2605–2614], in spite of the close contact between the bpy planes within the dimeric unit. The axial Pt—Osulfate distance is 2.144 (7) Å.  相似文献

Two mononuclear ruthenium complexes [Ru(H2tcbp)(isoq)2] ( 1 ) and [Ru(H2tcbp)(pic)2] ( 2 ) (H4tcbp=4,4′,6,6′‐tetracarboxy‐2,2′‐bipyridine, isoq=isoquinoline, pic=4‐picoline) are synthesized and fully characterized. Two spare carboxyl groups on the 4,4′‐positions are introduced to enhance the solubility of 1 and 2 in water and to simultaneously allow them to tether to the electrode surface by an ester linkage. The photochemical, electrochemical, and photoelectrochemical water oxidation performance of 1 in neutral aqueous solution is investigated. Under electrochemical conditions, water oxidation is conducted on the deposited indium‐tin‐oxide anode, and a turnover number higher than 15,000 per water oxidation catalyst (WOC) 1 is obtained during 10 h of electrolysis under 1.42 V vs. NHE, corresponding to a turnover frequency of 0.41 s?1. The low overpotential (0.17 V) of electrochemical water oxidation for 1 in the homogeneous solution enables water oxidation under visible light by using [Ru(bpy)3]2+ ( P1 ) (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) or [Ru(bpy)2(4,4′‐(COOEt)2‐bpy)]2+ ( P2 ) as a photosensitizer. In a three‐component system containing 1 or 2 as a light‐driven WOC, P1 or P2 as a photosensitizer, and Na2S2O8 or [CoCl(NH3)5]Cl2 as a sacrificial electron acceptor, a high turnover frequency of 0.81 s?1 and a turnover number of up to 600 for 1 under different catalytic conditions are achieved. In a photoelectrochemical system, the WOC 1 and photosensitizer are immobilized together on the photoanode. The electrons efficiently transfer from the WOC to the photogenerated oxidizing photosensitizer, and a high photocurrent density of 85 μA cm?2 is obtained by applying 0.3 V bias vs. NHE.  相似文献

A series of trans‐(Cl)‐[Ru(L)(CO)2Cl2]‐type complexes, in which the ligands L are 2,2′‐bipyridyl derivatives with amide groups at the 5,5′‐positions, are synthesized. The C‐connected amide group bound to the bipyridyl ligand through the carbonyl carbon atom is twisted with respect to the bipyridyl plane, whereas the N‐connected amide group is in the plane. DFT calculations reveal that the twisted structure of the C‐connected amide group raises the level of the LUMO, which results in a negative shift of the first reduction potential (Ep) of the ruthenium complex. The catalytic abilities for CO2 reduction are evaluated in photoreactions (λ>400 nm) with the ruthenium complexes (the catalyst), [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine; the photosensitizer), and 1‐benzyl‐1,4‐dihydronicotinamide (the electron donor) in CO2‐saturated N,N‐dimethylacetamide/water. The logarithm of the turnover frequency increases by shifting Ep a negative value until it reaches the reduction potential of the photosensitizer.  相似文献

In the title complex, [Ag2Cd(CN)4(C12H12N2)2]·H2O or cis‐[Cd{Ag(CN)2}2(5,5′‐dmbpy)2]·H2O, where 5,5′‐dmbpy is 5,5′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridyl, the asymmetric unit consists of a discrete neutral [Cd{Ag(CN)2}2(5,5′‐dmbpy)2] unit and a solvent water molecule. The CdII cation is coordinated by two bidentate chelate 5,5′‐dmbpy ligands and two monodentate [AgI(CN)2] anions, which are in a cis arrangement around the CdII cation, leading to an octahedral CdN6 geometry. The overall structure is stabilized by a combination of intermolecular hydrogen bonding, and AgI...AgI and π–π interactions, forming a three‐dimensional supramolecular network.  相似文献

Reduction of [Rh2(-OAc)2(bpy)2(H2O)2](OAc)2 and [Rh2Cl2(-OAc)2(bpy)2] · 3H2O complexes with ethanol and [Cr2(OAc)4(H2O)2] has been investigated using e.p.r. and u.v.–vis. spectra. The results indicate that stable complexes containing the [Rh2 3+] entity are not formed. The X-ray structure of [Rh2Cl2(-OAc)2(bpy)2] · 3H2O has been determined. Coordination around the Rh atom is in the form of a distorted octahedron. The complex shows an almost ideal eclipsed conformation. The equatorial coordination sites are occupied by bridging carboxylato ligands and 2,2-bipyridine and axial positions by the Cl ligand and the rhodium atom. The Rh–Rh distance is 2.574 Å.  相似文献

Rh‐containing metallacycles, [(TPA)RhIII2‐(C,N)‐CH2CH2(NR)2‐]Cl; TPA=N,N,N,N‐tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine have been accessed through treatment of the RhI ethylene complex, [(TPA)Rh(η2CH2CH2)]Cl ([ 1 ]Cl) with substituted diazenes. We show this methodology to be tolerant of electron‐deficient azo compounds including azo diesters (RCO2N?NCO2R; R=Et [ 3 ]Cl, R=iPr [ 4 ]Cl, R=tBu [ 5 ]Cl, and R=Bn [ 6 ]Cl) and a cyclic azo diamide: 4‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3,5‐dione (PTAD), [ 7 ]Cl. The latter complex features two ortho‐fused ring systems and constitutes the first 3‐rhoda‐1,2‐diazabicyclo[3.3.0]octane. Preliminary evidence suggests that these complexes result from N–N coordination followed by insertion of ethylene into a [Rh]?N bond. In terms of reactivity, [ 3 ]Cl and [ 4 ]Cl successfully undergo ring‐opening using p‐toluenesulfonic acid, affording the Rh chlorides, [(TPA)RhIII(Cl)(κ1‐(C)‐CH2CH2(NCO2R)(NHCO2R)]OTs; [ 13 ]OTs and [ 14 ]OTs. Deprotection of [ 5 ]Cl using trifluoroacetic acid was also found to give an ethyl substituted, end‐on coordinated diazene [(TPA)RhIII2‐(C,N)‐CH2CH2(NH)2‐]+ [ 16 ]Cl, a hitherto unreported motif. Treatment of [ 16 ]Cl with acetyl chloride resulted in the bisacetylated adduct [(TPA)RhIII2‐(C,N)‐CH2CH2(NAc)2‐]+, [ 17 ]Cl. Treatment of [ 1 ]Cl with AcN?NAc did not give the Rh?N insertion product, but instead the N,O‐chelated complex [(TPA)RhI ( κ2‐(O,N)‐CH3(CO)(NH)(N?C(CH3)(OCH?CH2))]Cl [ 23 ]Cl, presumably through insertion of ethylene into a [Rh]?O bond.  相似文献

The reaction of rhodium(I) carbonyl chloride, [Rh(CO)2Cl]2, with dichromate, cerium(IV) sulfate, hexachloroplatinic acid or p-benzoquinone in aqueous hydrochloric acid proceeds by consumption of 4 equivalents of oxidizing agent per mole or rhodium(I) in accordance with the equation RhI(CO)2  4e + H2O → RhIII(CO) + 2H+ + CO2A “cyclic” oxidation mechanism is suggested.  相似文献

The europium complex [EuCl2(bpy)2(H2O)2]Cl?1.25 C2H6O?0.37 H2O, where bpy is 2,2′‐bipyridine, was synthesized and investigated with the aim to relate its molecular geometry and crystal packing to the efficiency of energy‐transfer processes. The presence of H‐bonds between noncoordinated Cl? ions and coordinated H2O molecules leads to the formation of discrete trimers assembled by a number of C? H???Cl and stacking interactions into ‘supramolecular balls’ which contain Cl? ions and solvate molecules (H2O and EtOH). The additional stabilization of the complex is due to intramolecular N???C interactions between two bpy ligands that causes some shortening of the Eu? N bonds. Deciphering the luminescence properties of the Eu complex was performed under consideration of both the composition of the inner coordination sphere and the peculiarities of the crystal packing. The influence of the latter and the bpy orientation on the energy of the ligand→Eu charge‐transfer state (LMCT) was established, and an additional excited state induced by the π‐stacking interaction (SICT) was identified.  相似文献

In the title one‐dimensional complex, {[MnIII(C9H10NO2)2]Cl}n, the Schiff base ligand 2‐[(2‐hydroxyethyl)iminomethyl]phenolate (Hsae) functions as both a bridging and a chelating ligand. The MnIII ion is six‐coordinated by two N and four O atoms from four different Hsae ligands, yielding a distorted MnO4N2 octahedral environment. Each [MnIII(Hsae)2]+ cationic unit has the Mn atom on an inversion centre and each [MnIII(Hsae)2]+ cation lies about another inversion centre. The chain‐like complex is further extended into a three‐dimensional network structure through Cl⋯H—O hydrogen bonds and C—H⋯π contacts involving the Hsae rings.  相似文献

The ability of the tetraaza‐dithiophenolate ligand H2L2 (H2L2 = N,N′‐Bis‐[2‐thio‐3‐aminomethyl‐5‐tert‐butyl‐benzyl]propane‐1,3‐diamine) to form dinuclear chromium(III) complexes has been examined. Reaction of CrIICl2 with H2L2 in methanol in the presence of base followed by air‐oxidation afforded cis,cis‐[(L2)CrIII2(μ‐OH)(Cl)2]+ ( 1a ) and trans,trans‐[(L2)CrIII2(μ‐OH)(Cl)2]+ ( 1b ). Both compounds contain a confacial bioctahedral N2ClCrIII(μ‐SR)2(μ‐OH)CrIIIClN2 core. The isomers differ in the mutual orientation of the coligands and the conformation of the supporting ligand. In 1a both Cl? ligands are cis to the bridging OH function. In 1b they are in trans‐positions. Reaction of the hydroxo‐bridged complexes with HCl yielded the chloro‐bridged cations cis,cis‐[(L2)CrIII2(μ‐Cl)(Cl)2]+ ( 2a ) and trans,trans‐[(L2)CrIII2(μ‐Cl)(Cl)2]Cl ( 2b ), respectively. These bridge substitutions proceed with retention of the structures of the parent complexes 1a and 1b .  相似文献

[TcI(NO)Cl(H2L1)2]+ cations (H2L1 = 2‐(diphenylphosphanyl)aniline) are formed during reactions of H2L1 with (NBu4)[Tc(NO)Cl4(MeOH)] or (NH4)TcO4/HCl/NH2OH mixtures. Different isomers were isolated depending on the counterions and solvents used. The technetium(I) complexes cis‐NO,Cl,trans‐P,P‐[TcI(NO)Cl(H2L1)2]Cl, trans‐NO,Cl,cis‐P,P‐[TcI(NO)Cl(H2L1)2]2(TcCl6), and trans‐NO,Cl,trans‐P,P‐[TcI(NO)Cl(H2L1)2](PF6) were isolated in crystalline form and studied by spectroscopic methods and X‐ray crystallography. DFT calculations show that there are only minor energy differences between the three isomers and the formation of the individual compounds is most probably strongly influenced by interactions with solvents and counterions.  相似文献

The structures of these compounds were investigated by 1H, 31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of H2LI and [Cu2(phen)2LI] were determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.
