A La(III) complex, [LaIIICl2(NOR)2]Cl (2), containing norfloxacin (NOR) (1), a synthetic fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV–vis spectra and 1H NMR spectroscopy, and molar conductance measurements. The interaction between 2 and CT-DNA was investigated by steady-state absorption and fluorescence techniques in different pH media, and showed that 2 could bind to CT-DNA presumably via non-intercalative mode and the La(III) complex showed moderate ability to bind CT-DNA compared to other La(III) complexes. The binding site number n, and apparent binding constant KA, corresponding thermodynamic parameters ΔG#, ΔH#, ΔS# at different temperatures were calculated. The binding constant (KA) values are 0.23 ± 0.05, 0.56 ± 0.05, and 0.18 ± 0.08 × 105 L mol?1 for pH 4, 7, and 11, respectively. It was also found that the fluorescence quenching mechanism of CT-DNA by La(III) complex was a static quenching process.  相似文献

An asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine (L–OH) was prepared. Three complexes derived from L–OH were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the appropriate ligand with an equimolar amount of metallic salt. Three complexes, Cu2(L–O?)2Cl2 (1), Ni(L–O?)2 (2) and Co(L–O?)3 (3), have been structurally characterized through elemental analysis, IR, UV spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows metal ions and ligands reacted with different proportions 1?:?1, 1?:?2 and 1?:?3, respectively, so copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(III) have different geometries.  相似文献

A new copper(II) complex [Cu(adefovir)2Cl2], where adefovir = adefovir dipivoxil drug, was synthesized and characterized by using different physicochemical methods. Binding interaction of this complex with calf thymus DNA (ct-DNA) has been investigated by multi-spectroscopic techniques and molecular modeling study. The complex displays significant binding properties of ct-DNA. The results of fluorescence and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy indicated that, this complex interacted with ct-DNA in a groove-binding mode, and the binding constant was 4.3(±0.2) × 104 M?1. The fluorimeteric studies showed that the reaction between the complex and ct-DNA is exothermic (ΔH = 73.91 kJ M?1; ΔS = 357.83 J M?1 K?1). Furthermore, the complex induces detectable changes in the CD spectrum of ct-DNA and slightly increases its viscosity which verified the groove-binding mode. The molecular modeling results illustrated that the complex strongly binds to the groove of DNA by relative binding energy of the docked structure ?5.74 kcal M?1. All experimental and molecular modeling results showed that the Cu(II) complex binds to DNA by a groove-binding mode.  相似文献

A new bidisplaced acetate functionalized pendant arm derivative, 1,4-diacetate-1,4,7-triazacyclodecane (L) and its corresponding Co(III), Fe(III) complexes [CoLCl] (1) and [FeLCl]2 · 3H2O (2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra,UV–Vis spectra, HNMR, MS, XPRD, TGA and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal structure shows the metal ions in the complexes have similar coordination six-coordinate, by three nitrogens and two oxygens of the chelate ligand, and a chloride. Through calculation of the twist angle, we discover 1 forms a distorted octahedral geometry while 2 forms a distorted-prismatic geometry. In 2, there are abundant hydrogen bonds between the oxygen atoms of water and the nitrogens and oxygens of the ligand, resulting in a two-dimensional supramolecular network with a regular triatomic water cluster. The thermal gravimetric analyses of the two complexes are also given.  相似文献

Mononuclear copper(Ⅱ), nickel(Ⅱ) and cobalt(Ⅲ) tetracoordinate macrocyclic complexes were synthesized and spectroscopically characterized. The crystal structure of the three compounds were determined by X-ray crystallography. The electrochemical experimental results indicate that the three complexes could interact with DNA mainly by electrostatic interaction. The interaction of tetracoordinate macrocyclic cobalt(Ⅲ) complex with DNA was studied by cyclic voltammetry and UV-vis spectroscopy. The experimental results reveal that tetracoordinate macrocyc- lic cobalt(Ⅲ) complex could interact with DNA by electrostatic interaction to form a 1 : 1 DNA association complex with a binding constant of 7.50 ×10^3 L·mol^-1.  相似文献

The synthesis, X-ray structure and properties of a pentanuclear cobalt(III) coordination cluster [{L(O2CCH3)Co2O(OCH3)2}2Co](ClO4)3 (1) (L? = 2,6-bis((3-aminopropylimino)methyl)-4-methylphenolate) are described. The dinucleating L? is coordinated with two cobalt(III) centers to form the {L(O2CCH3)Co2O(OCH3)2} unit, where each metal center is in a distorted octahedral N2O4 environment. The oxo and the methoxo ligands of these two dinuclear units assemble a distorted octahedral O6 coordination sphere around the central cobalt(III). Elemental analysis and spectroscopic (IR, NMR, UV–vis, and HRMS) features are consistent with the pentanuclear structure of the complex. The diamagnetic complex is a 1?:?3 electrolyte in solution. It is redox-active and displays a metal-centered reduction at E1/2 = ?0.04 V (vs. Ag/AgCl).  相似文献

A Schiff-base ligand derived from 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-formyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one (PMFP) and isoniazid was prepared and its La(III) complex was characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The La(III) is nine-coordinate in a space group P21/n. DNA-binding was investigated by UV-Vis, fluorescence titration, ethidium bromide displacement experiments, and viscosity measurements, which indicated that the ligand and La(III) complex strongly binds to calf thymus DNA presumably via groove binding and intercalation. The intrinsic binding constants of the ligand and La(III) complex were 0.86?×?105 and 2.46?×?105?mol?L?1, respectively. Antioxidant data from hydroxyl radical scavenging experiments in vitro suggest that the La(III) complex possesses higher scavenging ratio than the free ligand, metallic salt, and some standard antioxidants like mannitol.  相似文献

The dark reduction kinetics of micromolar concentrations of Fe(III) in aqueous solution were studied in the presence of millimolar concentrations of ferrozine (FZ) over the pH range 4.0–7.0. A pseudo-first-order kinetics model was used to describe Fe(III) reduction at pH 4.0 and 5.0, and the reduction rate decreased with increasing pH or initial Fe(III) concentration. A more molecular-based kinetics model was developed to describe Fe(III) reduction at pH 6.0 and 7.0. From this model, the intrinsic rate constants (k1) of Fe(III) reduction by FZ in the dark were obtained as 0.133 ± 0.004 M?1 s?1 at pH 6.0 and 0.101 ± 0.009 M?1 s?1 at pH 7.0. It was also found in this model that a higher pH, a higher concentration of Fe(III), a lower concentration of FZ and less incubation time led to a lower fraction of Fe(III) reduction by FZ in the dark.  相似文献

2,6-Bis(porphyrin)-substituted 3,5-dimethylpyrazine and its zinc complex bound C70 to yield 1:1 inclusion complexes, which were characterised by ESI-MS, UV–vis, fluorescence and NMR spectroscopies. Association constants of the C70 complexes were determined by fluorescence and NMR spectral analyses. A decrease in absorbance of the Soret band of the pyrazine derivative by the effect of C70 was observed, suggesting the existence of a charge transfer interaction between C70 and porphyrin. Experimentally reliable values for the association constants were obtained by the NMR method and were about six times larger than those of the corresponding C60 complexes. Palladium complexation of the porphyrin–pyrazine ligand was found to enhance the association with fullerene. The association constant of 2,6-bis(porphyrin-Zn)-substituted 3,5-dimethylpyrazine-Pd(II) complex with C70 was determined to be 8400 ± 900 M? 1. From the comparison of the association constants, it was found that inclusion room for C70 in the Pd(II) complex was maintained, juxtaposed between porphyrins attached to the opposite sides of the pyrazine ligands.

Fe3+ complexes with succinic acid, a ligand naturally present in seawater, were investigated in aqueous solutions by square‐wave and cyclic voltammetry. [Fe(suc)2(OH)2] and [Fe(suc)3] were detected at potentials ?0.22 and ?0.37 V, depending on Csuc in the ranges from 0.01 to 0.07 and 0.1 to 0.5 mol L?1, respectively. Redox processes were irreversible, first with reactant adsorption and second diffusion controlled, both accompanied by chemical step. By UV/Vis spectra formation of these complexes was confirmed and equilibrium constant Fe(suc)2(OH)2?Fe(suc)3 calculated (logK2?3=(1.14±0.15) mol?1 L), as well as their perceptible stoichiometry. With NTA as competing ligand, conditional stability constant of [Fe(suc)2(OH)2] complex was calculated (βcond=(3.1±1.3)×1022 mol?1 L).  相似文献

Electrochemical methods represent an important class of widely used techniques for the detection of metal ions. The unique chemical and physical properties of nanoparticles make them extremely suitable for designing new and improved sensing devices, especially electrochemical sensors and biosensors. This study focused on the synthesis of a nano‐Fe(III)–Sud complex and its characterization using various spectroscopic and analytical tools, optimized using the density functional theory method, screened for antibacterial activity and evaluated for possible binding to DNA using molecular docking study. Proceeding from the collected information, nano‐Fe(III)–Sud was used further for constructing carbon paste and screen‐printed ion‐selective electrodes. The proposed sensors were successfully applied for the determination of Fe(III) ions in various real and environmental water samples. Some texture analyses of the electrode surface were conducted using atomic force microscopy. At optimum values of various conditions, the proposed electrodes responded towards Fe(III) ions linearly in the range 2.5 × 10?9–1 × 10?2 and 1.0 × 10?8–1 × 10?2 M with slope of 19.73 ± 0.82 and 18.57 ± 0.32 mV decade?1 of Fe(III) ion concentration and detection limit of 2.5 × 10?9 and 1.0 × 10?8 M for Fe(III)–Sud‐SPE (electrode I) and Fe(III)–Sud‐CPE (electrode II), respectively. The electrode response is independent of pH in the range 2.0–7.0 and 2.5–7.0, with a fast response time (4 and 7 s) at 25°C for electrode I and electrode II, respectively. Moreover, the electrodes also showed high selectivity and long lifetime (more than 6 and 3 months for electrode I and electrode II, respectively). The electrodes showed good selectivity for Fe(III) ions among a wide variety of metal ions. The results obtained compared well with those obtained using atomic absorption spectrometry.  相似文献

Two new complexes, [Co(L)2]Cl·(MeOH)2 (1) and [Ni(L)2]4·EtOH (2) (L?=?(E)-2-(amino((pyridin-2-ylmethylene)amino)methylene)maleonitrile), were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, IR, UV, and fluorescence spectroscopy. According to X-ray crystallographic studies, each metal was six-coordinate with six nitrogens from two ligands. Both complexes form two-dimensional supramolecular networks via hydrogen bonding and π–π interactions. Ultraviolet and visible spectra showed that absorptions arise from π–π ?, MLCT, and dd electron transitions. Fluorescence spectroscopy revealed moderate intercalative binding of these two complexes with EB–DNA, with apparent binding constant (K app) values of 9.14?×?105 and 3.20?×?105?M?1 for Co(III) and Ni(II) complexes, respectively. UV–visible absorption spectra showed that the absorption of DNA at 260?nm was quenched for 2 but quenched then improved for 1 with addition of complexes, tentatively attributed to the effect of the combined intercalative binding and electrostatic interaction for 1.  相似文献

In this study, the nine coordination polymers of Fe(III), Co(II) and Ni(II) salts have been synthesized using polyacrylamide (PAA), polt(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and their structures were characterized by magnetic and conductivity measurements, ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐VIS), FTIR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The structures of Fe(III) complexes in the all coordination polymers were found as tetrahedral. The structures of PAA‐Co(II) coordination polymer was determined as octahedral geometry whereas PEG‐Co(II) and PVA‐Co(II) complexes showed as tetrahedral structure. PAA‐Ni(II) and PEG‐Ni(II) complexes have octahedral geometry, whereas PVA‐Ni(II) has a square planar structure. Besides, the stress‐strain experiments of PVA‐metal coordination polymers obtained rubber‐like structure were carried out and the value of breaking‐strain of PVA‐Ni(II) complex was found to be about 17% of vulcanized natural rubber. The conductivities of the resulting polymer‐metal complexes were measured by four‐probe technique and were found in the range 10?5?10?6 Scm?1. Thus, it was suggested that they can be used in the field potential application of conducting polymers. TGA results revealed that among the complexes PEG‐Fe(III) and PVA‐Fe(III) complexes have the highest thermally stable.  相似文献

New fluorescent heterocyclic ligands were synthesized by the reaction of 8‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐3‐alkyl‐3H‐imidazo[4',5':3,4]benzo [1,2‐c]isoxazol‐5‐amine with p‐hydroxybenzaldehyde and p‐chlorobenzaldehyde in good yields. The coordination ability of the ligands with Fe3+ ion was examined in an aqueous metanolic solution. Schiff base ligands and their metal complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–vis, mass, and NMR spectra. The optical properties of the compounds were investigated and the results showed that the fluorescence of all compounds is intense and their obtained emission quantum yields are around 0.15 – 0.53. Optimized geometries and assignment of the IR bands and NMR chemical shifts of the new complexes were also computed by using density functional theory (DFT) methods. The DFT‐calculated vibrational wavenumbers and NMR chemical shifts are in good agreement with the experimental values, confirming suitability of the optimized geometries for Fe(III) complexes. Also, the 3D‐distribution map for HOMO and LUMO of the compounds were obtained. The new compounds showed potent antibacterial activity and their antibacterial activity (MIC) against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacterial species were also determined. Results of antibacterial test revealed that coordination of ligands to Fe(III) leads to improvement in the antibacterial activity.  相似文献

The advantage of capillary electrophoresis was demonstrated for studying a complicated system owing to the dependence of direction and velocity of the electrophoretic movement on the charge of complex species. The stability constants of copper(II) complexes with ions of succinic acid were determined by capillary electrophoresis, including the 1?:?2 metal to ligand complexes which are rarely mentioned. The measurements were carried out at 25 °C and ionic strength of 0.1, obtained by mixing the solutions of succinic acid and lithium hydroxide up to pH 4.2–6.2. It was shown that while pH was more than 4.5 the zone of copper(II) complexes with succinate moves as an anion. It is impossible to treat this fact using only the complexes with a metal-ligand ratio of 1?:?1 (CuL0, CuHL+). The following values of stability constants were obtained: log β(CuL) = 2.89 ± 0.02, log β(CuHL+) = 5.4 ± 0.5, log β(CuL22?) = 3.88 ± 0.05, log β(CuHL2?) = 7.2 ± 0.3.  相似文献

This article deals with complex formation of Bi(III) with 3-mercaptopropanesulfonic acid (H2MPS) in aqueous perchloric acid solutions, with synthesis and characterization of a solid 3-mercaptopropanesulfonate complex of bismuth(III). The stoichiometry and structures of Bi-MPS species in aqueous solution and of a solid complex have been studied by UV–Vis, 1H-NMR, ICP-AES, Raman, and EXAFS spectroscopic methods; the structures have also been simulated with DFT/PBE0 calculations. The Bi(III) LIII-edge EXAFS oscillation for a solid compound with the empirical formula [Bi(HMPS)2(ClO4)]0 was simulated with two Bi–S interatomic distances at 2.50 ± 0.01 Å, two Bi–O distances at 2.56 ± 0.02 Å and two Bi–O distances at 2.75 ± 0.02 Å. Implementation of the same approach for aqueous solutions on the assumption of S3BiO3 coordination at the H2MPS?:?Bi(III) mole ratio ≥ 3.0 revealed three Bi–S bonds at 2.53 ± 0.02 Å and three Bi–O bonds at 2.68 ± 0.02 Å, respectively. Optimized geometries, electronic structures of Bi(HMPS)3 and [Bi(HMPS)2ClO4]0, vibrational properties of [Bi(HMPS)2ClO4]0, and electronic absorption spectrum of Bi(HMPS)3 species obtained by DFT and TD–DFT modeling are consistent with empirical parameters. In the UV–Vis spectrum of Bi(HMPS)3 the LMCT and MLCT S2? ? Bi3+ band appears at 268 nm.  相似文献

The investigation of the dissolved iron(III)–nitrilotriacetate–hydroxide system in the water solution (I=0.1 mol L?1 in NaClO4; pH 8.0±0.1) using differential pulse cathodic voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, and sampled direct current (DC) polarography, was carried out on a static mercury drop electrode (SMDE). The dissolved iron(III) ion concentrations varied from 2.68×10?6 to 6×10?4 mol L?1 and nitrilotriacetate concentrations were 1×10?4 and 5×10?4 mol L?1. By deconvoluting of the overlapped reduction voltammetric peaks using Fourier transformation, four relatively stable, dissolved iron(III) complex species were characterized, as follows: [Fe(NTA)2]3?, mixed ligand complexes [FeOHNTA]? and [Fe(OH)2NTA]2?, showing a one‐electron quasireversible reduction, and binuclear diiron(III) complex [NTAFeOFeNTA]2?, detected above 4×10?4 mol L?1 of the added iron(III) ions, showing a one‐electron irreversible reduction character. The calculations with the constants from the literature were done and compared with the potential shifts of the voltammetric peaks. Fitting was obtained by changing the following literature constants: log β2([Fe(NTA)2]3?) from 24 to 27.2, log β1([FeNTA]?) from 8.9 to 9.2, log β2([Fe(NTA)2]4?) from 11.89 to 15.7 and log β2([Fe(OH)2NTA]3?) from 15.63 to 19. The determination of the electrochemical parameters of the mixed ligand complex [FeOHNTA]?, such as: transfer coefficient (α), rate constant (ks) and formal potential (E°') was done using a sampled DC polarography, and found to be 0.46±0.05, 1.0±0.3×10?3 cm s?1, and ?0.154±0.010 V, respectively. Although known previously in the literature, these four species have now for the first time been recorded simultaneously, i.e. proved to exist simultaneously under the given conditions.  相似文献

A new chromium(III) complex, [CrCl(naph-gly)phen]?H2O (naph-gly = Schiff base derived from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and glycine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy, FT-IR, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The chromium(III) complex belongs to the trigonal crystal system, P3(1) space group with crystallographic data: a = b = 1.97017(16) nm, c = 1.02991(7) nm, α?=?β?=?90°, γ =120°, V = 3.4621(5) nm3, Dc = 1.476 g?cm?3, Z = 6, F(0 0 0)?=?1578, R1 = 0.0508, wR2 = 0.0907. There are two independent molecules in the crystallographic asymmetric unit of the chromium(III) complex. Each CrIII is six-coordinate to form an octahedral geometry. In the crystal, a 3-D structure is formed through intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA)- and bovine serum albumin (BSA)-binding properties of the complex have been studied by UV absorption, fluorescence, and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. Results indicate that the chromium(III) complex binds to CT-DNA in an intercalative mode, and it can bind to BSA and cause conformational changes of BSA.  相似文献

A new dialkoxo‐bridged diiron(III) complex, [Fe2(BMA)2(CH3O)2Cl2]·2Cl·4CH3OH ( 1 ) [BMA = N,N‐bis(2‐benzimidazolylmethyl)amine], was synthesized and characterized by UV‐visible absorption and infrared spectra and magnetic susceptibilities. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, a = 12.9659(19) Å, b = 10.0278(16) Å, c = 17.919(2) Å, β = 93.766(8)° , V = 2324.8(6) Å3, Z = 2, F(000) = 1036, Dc = 1.426 g cm?3, µ = 0.908 mm?1. According to X‐ray crystallographic studies, each Fe(III) ion lies in a highly distorted octahedral environment, and two Fe(III) ions are bridged by the methoxyl oxygens. Cryomagnetic analyses indicated a moderate antiferromagnetic interaction between the high‐spin Fe(III) ions, with J = ? 27.05 cm?1. Moreover, the binding interaction of DNA with the diiron complex was investigated by spectroscopic and agarose gel electrophoretic methods, showing moderate cleavage activity on pBR322 plasmid DNA at physiological pH and temperature. Two polydentade Schiff base ligands and their Ru(III), Cr(III) and Fe(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis (C, H, N), UV/Vis, FT IR, 1H and 13C NMR, LC–MS/MS, molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility techniques. The absorption bands in the electronic spectra and magnetic moment measurements verified an octahedral environment around the metal ions in the complexes. The thermal stabilities were investigated using TGA. The synthesized complexes were used in the catalytic oxidation of 2-methyl naphthalene (2MN) to 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone; vitamin K3, menadione, 2MNQ; using hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and sulfuric acid. L1-Fe(III) complex showed very efficient catalytic activity with 58.54% selectivity in the conversions of 79.11%.  相似文献
