Decon nement phase transition is studied in the FL model at finite temperature and chemical potential. At MFT approximation, phase transition can only be first order in the whole μ-T phase plane. Using a Landau expansion, we further study the phase transition order and the possible phase diagram of decon nement. We discuss the possibilities of second order phase transitions in the FL model. From our analysis, if the cubic term in the Landau expansion could be cancelled by the higher order fluctuations, second order phase transition may occur. By an ansatz of the Landau parameters, we obtain a possible phase diagram with both the first and second order phase transitions, including the tri-critical point which is similar to that of the chiral phase transition.  相似文献

High density phase transitions in a 4-dimensional Nambu-dona-Lasinio model containing a single symmetry breaking order parameter coming from the fermion-antifermion condensates are researched and expounded by means of both the gap equation and the effective potential approach. The phase transitions are proven to be second-order at a high temperature T; however at T = 0 they are first- or second-order, depending on whether A/m(0), the ratio of the momentum cutoff A in the fermion-loop integrals to the dynamical fermion mass m(0) at zero temperature, is lessthan 3.387 or not. The former condition cannot be satisfied in some models. The discussions further show complete effectiveness of the critical analysis based on the gap equation for second order phase transitions including determination of the condition of their occurrence.  相似文献

By critical analyses of the order parameter of symmetry breaking, we have researched the phase transitions at high density in D = 2 and D = 3 Gross-Neveu (GN) model and shown that the gap equation obeyed by the dynamical fermion mass has the same effectivenesss as the effective potentials for such analyses of all the second order and some specJal first order phase transitions. In the meantime we also further ironed out a theoretical divergence and proven that in D = 3 GN model a first order phase transition does occur in the case of zero temperature and finite chemical potential.  相似文献

A modified Yafet-Kittle model is applied to investigate the magnetic properties and magnetic phase transition of the intermetallic compound GdMn_2Ge_2. Theoretical analysis and calculation show that there are five possible magnetic structures in GdMn_2Ge_2. Variations of external magnetic field and temperature give rise to the first-order or second-order magnetic transitions from one phase to another. Based on this model, the magnetic curves of GdMn_2Ge_2 single crystals at different temperatures are calculated and a good agreement with experimental data has obtained. Based on the calculation, the H-T magnetic phase diagrams of GdMn_2Ge_2 are depicted. The Gd-Gd, Gd-Mn, intralayer Mn-Mn and interlayer Mn-Mn exchange coupling parameters are estimated. It is shown that, in order to describe the magnetic properties of GdMn_2Ge_2, the lattice constant and temperature dependence of interlayer Mn-Mn exchange interaction must be taken into account.  相似文献

The dynamic phase transition properties for ferroelectric nanotube under a spin-1/2 transverse Ising model are studied under the effective field theory(EFT)with correlations. The temperature effects on the pseudo-spin systems are unveiled in three-dimensional(3-D)and two-dimensional(2-D)phase diagrams. Moreover, the dynamic behaviors of exchange interactions on the 3-D and 2-D phase transitions under high temperature are exhibited. The results present that it is hard to obtain pure ferroelectric phase under high temperature;that is,the vibration of orderly pseudo-spins cannot be eliminated completely.  相似文献

This paper studies the critical behaviours and magnetic properties of three-dimensional bond and anisotropy dilution Blume--Capel model (BCM) in the presence of an applied field within the effective field theory. The trajectory of tricritical point, reentrant transitions and degenerate patterns of anisotropy are obtained both for the bond and the anisotropy dilutions. The global phase diagrams demonstrate unusually reentrant phenomena. The temperature dependences of magnetization curves undergo remarkable spin glass behaviour at low temperatures, and transform from ferromagnetism to paramagnetism at high temperature in applied fields. Temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility curve is in qualitative agreement with experimental result.  相似文献

Based on a linear sigma model, we discuss the mixing between a quark condensate and a gluon condensate. It is shown that the linear sigma model will not be self-consistent if we switch off the mixing coupling between glueball and chiral fields. By introducing a proper mixing coupling, we realize the second-order phase transitions of chiral symmetry restoration and deconfinement. We further show that the critical temperature of chirM symmetry restoration could not be larger than the temperature of deconfinement phase transition in all possible parameter spaces of our model.  相似文献

The random crystal field(RCF) effects are investigated on the phase diagrams of the mixed-spins 1/2 and 3/2 Blume-Capel(BC) model on the Bethe lattice. The bimodal random crystal field is assumed and the recursion relations are employed for the solution of the model. The system gives only the second-order phase transitions for all values of the crystal fields in the non-random bimodal distribution for given probability. The randomness does not change the order of the phase transitions for higher crystal field values,i.e.,it is always second-order,but it may introduce first-order phase transitions at lower negative crystal field values for the probability in the range about 0.20 and 0.45,which is only the second-order for the non-random case in this range. Thus our work claims that randomness may be used to induce first-order phase transitions at lower negative crystal field values at lower probabilities.  相似文献

We present a study of the dynamic behavior of a two-sublattice spin-5/2 Ising model with bilinear and crystal-field interactions in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field on alternating layers of a hexagonal lattice by using the Glauber-type stochastic dynamics. The lattice is formed by alternate layers of spins σ=5/2 and S=5/2.We employ the Glauber transition rates to construct the mean-field dynamic equations.First,we investigate the time variations of the average sublattice magnetizations to find the phases in the system and then the thermal behavior of the dynamic sublattice magnetizations to characterize the nature(first-or second-order) of the phase transitions and to obtain the dynamic phase transition(DPT) points. We also study the thermal behavior of the dynamic total magnetization to find the dynamic compensation temperature and to determine the type of the dynamic compensation behavior. We present the dynamic phase diagrams, including the dynamic compensation temperatures,in nine different planes. The phase diagrams contain seven different fundamental phases, thirteen different mixed phases,in which the binary and ternary combination of fundamental phases and the compensation temperature or the L-type behavior strongly depend on the interaction parameters.  相似文献

The phase diagrams in the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising system with two alternative layers on a honeycomb lattice are investigated and discussed by the use of the effective-field theory with correlations. The interaction of the nearest-neighbour spins of each layer is taken to be positive (ferromagnetic interaction) and the interaction of the adjacent spins of the nearest-neighbour layers is considered to be either positive or negative (ferromagnetic or anti-ferromagnetic interaction). The temperature dependence of the layer magnetizations of the system is examined to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperatures. The system exhibits both second-and first-order phase transitions besides triple point (T P ), critical end point (E), multicritical point (A), isolated critical point (C) and reentrant behaviour depending on the interaction parameters. We have also studied the temperature dependence of the total magnetization to find the compensation points, as well as to determine the type of behaviour, and N-type behaviour in N′eel classification nomenclature existing in the system. The phase diagrams are constructed in eight different planes and it is found that the system also presents the compensation phenomena depending on the sign of the bilinear exchange interactions.  相似文献

In the present paper, we report on the results of various thermodynamic properties of 3C-SiC at high pressure and temperature using first principles calculations. We use the plane-wave pseudopotential density functional theory as im- plemented in Quantum ESPRESSO code for calculating various cohesive properties in ambient condition. Further, ionic motion at a finite temperature is taken into account using the quasiharmonic Debye model. The calculated thermody- namic properties, phonon dispersion curves, and phonon densities of states at different temperatures and structural phase transitions at high pressures are found to be in good agreement with experimental and other theoretical results.  相似文献

We propose a new approach to quantum phase transitions in terms of the density-functional fidelity, which measures the similarity between density distributions of two ground states in parameter space. The key feature of the approach is such that the density-functional fidelity can be measured easily in experiments. Both the validity and versatility of the approach are checked by the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model and the one-dimensional Hubbard model.  相似文献

Fractional molecular field theory(FMFT) is a phenomenological theory that describes phase transitions in crystals with randomly distributed components, such as the relaxor-ferroelectrics and spin glasses. In order to verify the feasibility of this theory, this paper fits it to the Monte Carlo simulations of specific heat and susceptibility versus temperature of two-dimensional(2D) random-site Ising model(2D-RSIM). The results indicate that the FMFT deviates from the 2D-RSIM significantly. The ma...  相似文献

This study gives our calculation for the specific heats CVI due to an Ising model using the observed Cp data for the Ⅱ-Ⅲ and Ⅱ-VI phase transitions in NH4I.By fitting to the CP data we determine the values of the critical exponent for the pressure of 0.14GPa(Ⅱ-Ⅲ phase transition)and for the pressures of 0.75,1.35and 1.97 GPa (II-IV phase transition)in NH4I.Our exponent values values are close to the predicted values of the specific heat in a three-dimensional Ising model. Our calculated CVI are in good agreement with the experimental CP for NH4I in most cases.  相似文献

We present a new model of quantum phase transitions in matrix product systems of one-dimensional spin-1 chains and study the phases coexistence phenomenon. We find that in the thermodynamic limit the proposed system has three different quantum phases and by adjusting the control parameters we are able to realize any phase, any two phases equal coexistence and the three phases equM coexistence. At every critical point the physical quantities including the entanglement are not discontinuous and the matrix product system has long-range correlation and N-spin maximal entanglement. We believe that our work is helpful for having a comprehensive understanding of quantum phase transitions in matrix product states of one-dimensional spin chains and of certain directive significance to the preparation and control of one-dimensional spin lattice models with stable coherence and N-spin maximal entanglement.  相似文献

With the help of an improvement Monte Carlo method, the Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition arising in two-dimensional planar rotator model with weak Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya (DM) interaction is investigated. The effects of the DM interaction on specific heat, susceptibility, and magnetization are simulated. The critical temperature of transitions is determined by the so-called Binder cumulant and the susceptibility of finite-size scaling. We find that the chiral Z2 symmetry reduced by the DM interactions plays an important role in a two-dimensional XY spin system, typically, the critical temperature is sensitive to weak DM spin couplings.  相似文献

It is well known that the terrestrial temperature varies with the period of 24 hours mainly due to the rotation of the earth in the field of the solar radiation. However, we observed the phenomenon that the semldiurnal(12 hour) temperature oscillation is dominant in our underground laboratory. By the spectrum analysis, the close correlation between the variations of temperature and atmospheric pressure was discovered, and the result of phase analysis showed that the phase of semidiurnal pressure lags behind that of the semidiurnal temperature. A model of heat conduction between air and rock is presented to explain the semidiurnal temperature oscillation observed in the underground laboratory.  相似文献
