A circular distribution is a Galois equivariant map ψ from the roots of unity μ to an algebraic closure of such that ψ satisfies product conditions, for ϵμ and , and congruence conditions for each prime number l and with (l, s) = 1, modulo primes over l for all , where μ l and μ s denote respectively the sets of lth and sth roots of unity. For such ψ, let be the group generated over by and let be , where U s denotes the global units of . This work is concerned with the fast diffusion equation , where 0 < m < 1 and κ < 1. A global positive solution is said to quench regularly in infinite time if for some bounded sequence and some , and if for all compact . It is shown that such regular quenching in infinite time occurs for a large class of initial data if κ > m , whereas it is impossible in one space dimension when κ < −m and the solution is radially symmetric and nondecreasing for x > 0.   相似文献

We study the complexity of infinite chains and antichains in computable partial orderings. We show that there is a computable partial ordering which has an infinite chain but none that is or , and also obtain the analogous result for antichains. On the other hand, we show that every computable partial ordering which has an infinite chain must have an infinite chain that is the difference of two sets. Our main result is that there is a computably axiomatizable theory K of partial orderings such that K has a computable model with arbitrarily long finite chains but no computable model with an infinite chain. We also prove the corresponding result for antichains. Finally, we prove that if a computable partial ordering has the feature that for every , there is an infinite chain or antichain that is relative to , then we have uniform dichotomy: either for all copies of , there is an infinite chain that is relative to , or for all copies of , there is an infinite antichain that is relative to .  相似文献

In this paper, we study existence of nontrivial solutions to the elliptic equation
and to the elliptic system
where Ω is a bounded domain in with smooth boundary ∂Ω, , f (x, 0) = 0, with m ≥ 2 and . Nontrivial solutions are obtained in the case in which the nonlinearities have linear growth. That is, for some c > 0, for and , and for and , where I m is the m × m identity matrix. In sharp contrast to the existing results in the literature, we do not make any assumptions at infinity on the asymptotic behaviors of the nonlinearity f and . Z. We consider the computation of stable approximations to the exact solution of nonlinear ill-posed inverse problems F(x) = y with nonlinear operators F : XY between two Hilbert spaces X and Y by the Newton type methods
in the case that only available data is a noise of y satisfying with a given small noise level . We terminate the iteration by the discrepancy principle in which the stopping index is determined as the first integer such that
with a given number τ > 1. Under certain conditions on {α k }, {g α } and F, we prove that converges to as and establish various order optimal convergence rate results. Pairs of numerically satisfactory solutions as for the three-term recurrence relations satisfied by the families of functions , , are given. It is proved that minimal solutions always exist, except when and z is in the positive or negative real axis, and that is minimal as whenever . The minimal solution is identified for any recurrence direction, that is, for any integer values of and . We consider the 2m-th order elliptic boundary value problem Lu = f (x, u) on a bounded smooth domain with Dirichlet boundary conditions on ∂Ω. The operator L is a uniformly elliptic operator of order 2m given by . For the nonlinearity we assume that , where are positive functions and q > 1 if N ≤ 2m, if N > 2m. We prove a priori bounds, i.e, we show that for every solution u, where C > 0 is a constant. The solutions are allowed to be sign-changing. Deep matrix algebras based on a set over a ring are introduced and studied by McCrimmon when has infinite cardinality. Here, we construct a new -module that is faithful for of any cardinality. For a field of arbitrary characteristic and , is studied in depth. The algebra is shown to possess a unique proper non-zero ideal, isomorphic to . This leads to a new and interesting simple algebra, , the quotient of by its unique ideal. Both and the quotient algebra are shown to have centers isomorphic to . We shall call quantum states of a principal bundle π : PM with structure group a semi-simple Lie group G, the elements of certain space of sections of the adjoint bundle , associated to the G-bundle of connections . An inner product of sections of is defined for which is a Hilbert space such that the Gauge group gau(P) of the given bundle represents in a family of self-adjoint operators. We consider the problem
where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in , 1  <  p< + ∞ if N = 2, if N ≥ 3 and ε is a parameter. We show that if the mean curvature of ∂Ω is not constant then, for ε small enough, such a problem has always a nodal solution u ε with one positive peak and one negative peak on the boundary. Moreover, and converge to and , respectively, as ε goes to zero. Here, H denotes the mean curvature of ∂Ω. Moreover, if Ω is a ball and , we prove that for ε small enough the problem has nodal solutions with two positive peaks on the boundary and arbitrarily many negative peaks on the boundary. We study the functional codes of second order on a non-degenerate Hermitian variety as defined by G. Lachaud. We provide the best possible bounds for the number of points of quadratic sections of . We list the first five weights, describe the corresponding codewords and compute their number. The paper ends with two conjectures. The first is about minimum distance of the functional codes of order h on a non-singular Hermitian variety . By sampling the window of a Gabor frame for belonging to Feichtinger’s algebra, , one obtains a Gabor frame for . In this article we present a survey of results by R. Orr and A.J.E.M. Janssen and extend their ideas to cover interrelations among Gabor frames for the four spaces , , and . Some new results about general dual windows with respect to sampling and periodization are presented as well. We consider the following anisotropic Emden–Fowler equation where is a bounded smooth domain and a(x) is a positive smooth function. We investigate the effect of anisotropic coefficient a(x) on the existence of bubbling solutions. We show that at given local maximum points of a(x), there exists arbitrarily many bubbles.
