This paper presents an approximate method for solving a class of fractional optimization problems with multiple dependent variables with multi-order fractional derivatives and a group of boundary conditions. The fractional derivatives are in the Caputo sense. In the presented method, first, the given optimization problem is transformed into an equivalent variational equality; then, by applying a special form of polynomial basis functions and approximations, the variational equality is reduced to a simple linear system of algebraic equations. It is demonstrated that the derived linear system has a unique solution. We get an approximate solution for the initial optimization problem by solving the final linear system of equations. The choice of polynomial basis functions provides a method with such flexibility that all initial and boundary conditions of the problem can be easily imposed. We extensively discuss the convergence of the method and, finally, present illustrative test examples to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the new technique.  相似文献

In this paper, epsilon and Ritz methods are applied for solving a general class of fractional constrained optimization problems. The goal is to minimize a functional subject to a number of constraints. The functional and constraints can have multiple dependent variables, multiorder fractional derivatives, and a group of initial and boundary conditions. The fractional derivative in the problem is in the Caputo sense. The constrained optimization problems include isoperimetric fractional variational problems (IFVPs) and fractional optimal control problems (FOCPs). In the presented approach, first by implementing epsilon method, we transform the given constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained problem, then by applying Ritz method and polynomial basis functions, we reduce the optimization problem to the problem of optimizing a real value function. The choice of polynomial basis functions provides the method with such a flexibility that initial and boundary conditions can be easily imposed. The convergence of the method is analytically studied and some illustrative examples including IFVPs and FOCPs are presented to demonstrate validity and applicability of the new technique.  相似文献

In this report, we consider two kind of general fractional variational problem depending on indefinite integrals include unconstrained problem and isoperimetric problem. These problems can have multiple dependent variables, multiorder fractional derivatives, multiorder integral derivatives and boundary conditions. For both problems, we obtain the Euler-Lagrange type necessary conditions which must be satisfied for the given functional to be extremum. Also, we apply the Rayleigh-Ritz method for solving the unconstrained general fractional variational problem depending on indefinite integrals. By this method, the given problem is reduced to the problem for solving a system of algebraic equations using shifted Legendre polynomials basis functions. An approximate solution for this problem is obtained by solving the system. We discuss the analytic convergence of this method and finally by some examples will be showing the accurately and applicability for this technique.  相似文献

We present a linear rational pseudospectral (collocation) method with preassigned poles for solving boundary value problems. It consists in attaching poles to the trial polynomial so as to make it a rational interpolant. Its convergence is proved by transforming the problem into an associated boundary value problem. Numerical examples demonstrate that the rational pseudospectral method is often more efficient than the polynomial method.  相似文献

Some mathematical models of applied problems lead to the need of solving boundary value problems with a fractional power of an elliptic operator. In a number of works, approximations of such a nonlocal operator are constructed on the basis of an integral representation with a singular integrand. In the present article, new integral representations are proposed for operators with fractional powers. Approximations are based on the classical quadrature formulas. The results of numerical experiments on the accuracy of quadrature formulas are presented. The proposed approximations are used for numerical solving a model two‐dimensional boundary value problem for fractional diffusion.  相似文献

In this paper, we derived the shifted Jacobi operational matrix (JOM) of fractional derivatives which is applied together with spectral tau method for numerical solution of general linear multi-term fractional differential equations (FDEs). A new approach implementing shifted Jacobi operational matrix in combination with the shifted Jacobi collocation technique is introduced for the numerical solution of nonlinear multi-term FDEs. The main characteristic behind this approach is that it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations which greatly simplifying the problem. The proposed methods are applied for solving linear and nonlinear multi-term FDEs subject to initial or boundary conditions, and the exact solutions are obtained for some tested problems. Special attention is given to the comparison of the numerical results obtained by the new algorithm with those found by other known methods.  相似文献

A variant of the finite superelement method (FSEM) is proposed for computing viscous incompressible convection-dominated flows on a triangular unstructured mesh. To construct the high-order FSEM scheme, vector polynomial test functions (SE basis) are calculated in each grid cell by solving the linearized Navier-Stokes equations with special boundary conditions in the form of basis functions in the trace space.  相似文献

In the present work, a non-local boundary value problem with special gluing conditions for a mixed parabolic-hyperbolic equation with parameter is considered. The parabolic part of this equation is a fractional analogue of heat equation and the hyperbolic part is the telegraph equation. The considered problem is reduced, for positive values of the parameter, to an equivalent system of the second kind Volterra integral equations. Due to the influence of the fractional diffusion equation, the looked for solution belongs to a specific class of functions. The method of the Green functions and the properties of integro-differential operators are on the basis of the investigation.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to propose a computational method for the approximate solution of linear and nonlinear two-point boundary value problems. In order to approximate the solution, the expansions in terms of the Bernstein polynomial basis have been used. The properties of the Bernstein polynomial basis and the corresponding operational matrices of integration and product are utilized to reduce the given boundary value problem to a system of algebraic equations for the unknown expansion coefficients of the solution. On this approach, the problem can be solved as a system of algebraic equations. By considering a special case of the problem, an error analysis is given for the approximate solution obtained by the present method. At last, five examples are examined in order to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.  相似文献

Data in many real-life engineering and economical problems suffer from inexactness. Herein we assume that we are given some intervals in which the data can simultaneously and independently perturb. We consider a generalized linear fractional programming problem with interval data and present an efficient method for computing the range of optimal values. The method reduces the problem to solving from two to four real-valued generalized linear fractional programs, which can be computed in polynomial time using an appropriate interior point method solver.  相似文献

The second basic plane problem of the dynamics of elastic bodies is considered in the Muskhelishvili formulation, when the known boundary displacements are replaced by interpolation time polynomials and the known initial conditions are replaced by polyharmonic functions, which interpolate the initial conditions in a region with a finite number of interpolation nodes. In this case a solution of the problem, called here the interpolation solution, is possible. It must satisfy the dynamic equations and interpolate the boundary displacements and initial displacements and velocities. This solution is constructed in the form of a polynomial and is reduced to solving a series of boundary-value problems for determining the coefficients of this polynomial.  相似文献

A time-dependent problem in a bounded domain for a fractional diffusion equation is considered. The first-order evolution equation involves a fractional-power second-order elliptic operator with Robin boundary conditions. A finite-element spatial approximation with an additive approximation of the operator of the problem is used. The time approximation is based on a vector scheme. The transition to a new time level is ensured by solving a sequence of standard elliptic boundary value problems. Numerical results obtained for a two-dimensional model problem are presented.  相似文献

In this work, we present a spectral method for recovering an unknown time-dependent lower-order coefficient and unknown wave displacement in a nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation with overdetermination at a boundary condition. We apply the initial and boundary conditions to construct the satisfier function and use this function in a transformation to convert the main problem to a nonclassical hyperbolic equation with homogeneous initial and boundary conditions. Then, we utilize the orthonormal Bernstein basis functions to approximate the solution of the reformulated problem and use a direct technique based on the operational matrices of integration and differentiation of these basis functions together with the collocation technique to reduce the problem to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations. Regarding the perturbed measurements, the method takes advantage of the mollification method in order to derive stable numerical derivatives. Numerical simulations for solving several test examples are presented to show the applicability of the proposed method for obtaining accurate and stable results.  相似文献

This paper presents an accurate numerical method for solving fractional Riccati differential equation (FRDE). The proposed method so called fractional Chebyshev finite difference method (FCheb-FDM). In this technique, we approximate FRDE with a finite dimensional problem. The method is based on the combination of the useful properties of Chebyshev polynomials approximation and finite difference method. The Caputo fractional derivative is replaced by a difference quotient and the integral by a finite sum. By this method the given problem is reduced to a problem for solving a system of algebraic equations, and by solving this system, we obtain the solution of FRDE. Special attention is given to study the convergence analysis and estimate an error upper bound of the obtained approximate formula. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed technique.  相似文献

This paper presents an accurate numerical method for solving a class of fractional variational problems (FVPs). The fractional derivative in these problems is in the Caputo sense. The proposed method is called fractional Chebyshev finite difference method. In this technique, we approximate FVPs and end up with a finite‐dimensional problem. The method is based on the combination of the useful properties of Chebyshev polynomials approximation and finite difference method. The Caputo fractional derivative is replaced by a difference quotient and the integral by a finite sum. The fractional derivative approximation using Clenshaw and Curtis formula introduced here, along with Clenshaw and Curtis procedure for the numerical integration of a non‐singular functions and the Rayleigh–Ritz method for the constrained extremum, is considered. By this method, the given problem is reduced to the problem for solving a system of algebraic equations, and by solving this system, we obtain the solution of FVPs. Special attention is given to study the convergence analysis and evaluate an error upper bound of the obtained approximate formula. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed technique. A comparison with another method is given. Novel memory‐efficient Arnoldi algorithms for solving matrix polynomial eigenvalue problems are presented. More specifically, we consider the case of matrix polynomials expressed in the Chebyshev basis, which is often numerically more appropriate than the standard monomial basis for a larger degree d. The standard way of solving polynomial eigenvalue problems proceeds by linearization, which increases the problem size by a factor d. Consequently, the memory requirements of Krylov subspace methods applied to the linearization grow by this factor. In this paper, we develop two variants of the Arnoldi method that build the Krylov subspace basis implicitly, in a way that only vectors of length equal to the size of the original problem need to be stored. The proposed variants are generalizations of the so‐called quadratic Arnoldi method and two‐level orthogonal Arnoldi procedure methods, which have been developed for the monomial case. We also show how the typical ingredients of a full implementation of the Arnoldi method, including shift‐and‐invert and restarting, can be incorporated. Numerical experiments are presented for matrix polynomials up to degree 30 arising from the interpolation of nonlinear eigenvalue problems, which stem from boundary element discretizations of PDE eigenvalue problems. This study is intended to provide a numerical algorithm for solving a one-dimensional inverse heat conduction problem. The given heat conduction equation, the boundary conditions, and the initial condition are presented in a dimensionless form. The numerical approach is developed based on the use of the solution to the auxiliary problem as a basis function. To regularize the resultant ill-conditioned linear system of equations, we apply the Tikhonov regularization method to obtain the stable numerical approximation to the solution.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to propose a new formulation of the fractional optimal control problems involving Mittag–Leffler nonsingular kernel. By using the Lagrange multiplier within the calculus of variations and by applying the fractional integration by parts, the necessary optimality conditions are derived in terms of a nonlinear two-point fractional boundary value problem. Based on the convolution formula and generalized discrete Grönwall’s inequality, the numerical scheme for solving this problem is developed and its convergence is proved. Numerical simulations and comparative results show that the suggested technique is efficient and provides satisfactory results.  相似文献
