Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

Let ( Y,d,dl )\left( {\mathcal{Y},d,d\lambda } \right) be (ℝ n , |·|, μ), where |·| is the Euclidean distance, μ is a nonnegative Radon measure on ℝ n satisfying the polynomial growth condition, or the Gauss measure metric space (ℝ n , |·|, d λ ), or the space (S, d, ρ), where S ≡ ℝ n ⋉ ℝ+ is the (ax + b)-group, d is the left-invariant Riemannian metric and ρ is the right Haar measure on S with exponential growth. In this paper, the authors introduce and establish some properties of the atomic Hardy-type spaces { Xs ( Y ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {X_s \left( \mathcal{Y} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty } and the BMO-type spaces { BMO( Y, s ) }0 < s \leqslant ¥\left\{ {BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y}, s} \right)} \right\}_{0 < s \leqslant \infty }. Let H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) be the known atomic Hardy space and L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) the subspace of fL 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) with integral 0. The authors prove that the dual space of X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) is BMO( Y,s )BMO\left( {\mathcal{Y},s} \right) when s ∈ (0,∞), X s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) when s ∈ (0, 1], and X ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) = L 01 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) (or L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right)). As applications, the authors show that if T is a linear operator bounded from H 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) and from L 1 ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to L 1,∞ ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), then for all r ∈ (1,∞) and s ∈ (r,∞], T is bounded from X r ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right) to the Lorentz space L 1,s ( Y )\left( \mathcal{Y} \right), which applies to the Calderón-Zygmund operator on (ℝ n , |·|, μ), the imaginary powers of the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator on (ℝ n , |·|, d γ ) and the spectral operator associated with the spectral multiplier on (S, d, ρ). All these results generalize the corresponding results of Sweezy, Abu-Shammala and Torchinsky on Euclidean spaces.  相似文献

Let O n be the order-preserving transformation semigroup on X n . For an arbitrary integer r such that 1≤rn−2, we completely describe the maximal regular subsemibands of the semigroup K(n,r)={αO n :|im(α)|≤r}. We also formulate the cardinal number of such subsemigroups.  相似文献

Let M n (K) be the algebra of all n × n matrices over an infinite field K. This algebra has a natural ℤ n -grading and a natural ℤ-grading. Finite bases for its ℤ n -graded identities and for its ℤ-graded identities are known. In this paper we describe finite generating sets for the ℤ n -graded and for the ℤ-graded central polynomials for M n (K) Partially supported by CNPq 620025/2006-9  相似文献

For X, YMn,m it is said that X is gut-majorized by Y, and we write X ?gutY, if there exists an n-by-n upper triangular g-row stochastic matrix R such that X = RY. Define the relation ~gut as follows. X ~gutY if X is gut-majorized by Y and Y is gut-majorized by X. The (strong) linear preservers of ?gut on ?n and strong linear preservers of this relation on Mn,m have been characterized before. This paper characterizes all (strong) linear preservers and strong linear preservers of ~gut on ?n and Mn,m.  相似文献

Let X be a Banach space, K be a scattered compact and T: B C(K)X be a Fréchet smooth operator whose derivative is uniformly continuous. We introduce the smooth biconjugate T**: B C(K)**X** and prove that if T is noncompact, then the derivative of T** at some point is a noncompact linear operator. Using this we conclude, among other things, that either is compact or that ℓ1 is a complemented subspace of X*. We also give some relevant examples of smooth functions and operators, in particular, a C 1,u -smooth noncompact operator from B c O which does not fix any (affine) basic sequence. P. In previous papers, we have constructed and studied mappings d k : M × M → ℝ called the H k -distance functions. The main result of this paper is a theorem on realizability of the generalized distances d k (υ, w), υ, wM, by critical values of the length functional L: Ω(M, υ, w) → ℝ generated by nontrivial homology classes of the space Ω(M, υ, w) of paths joining the points υ and w.  相似文献

Let M be a compact manifold of dimension n, P=P(h) a semiclassical pseudodifferential operator on M, and u=u(h) an L 2 normalized family of functions such that P(h)u(h) is O(h) in L 2(M) as h↓0. Let HM be a compact submanifold of M. In a previous article, the second-named author proved estimates on the L p norms, p≥2, of u restricted to H, under the assumption that the u are semiclassically localized and under some natural structural assumptions about the principal symbol of P. These estimates are of the form Ch δ(n,k,p) where k=dim H (except for a logarithmic divergence in the case k=n−2, p=2). When H is a hypersurface, i.e., k=n−1, we have δ(n,n−1, 2)=1/4, which is sharp when M is the round n-sphere and H is an equator.  相似文献

Given 1≤ p,q < ∞, let BLpLq be the class of all Banach lattices X such that X is isometrically lattice isomorphic to a band in some Lp(Lq)-Banach lattice. We show that the range of a positive contractive projection on any BLpLq-Banach lattice is itself in BLpLq. It is a consequence of this theorem and previous results that BLpLq is first-order axiomatizable in the language of Banach lattices. By studying the pavings of arbitrary BLpLq-Banach lattices by finite dimensional sublattices that are themselves in this class, we give an explicit set of axioms for BLpLq. We also consider the class of all sublattices of Lp(Lq)-Banach lattices; for this class (when p/q is not an integer) we give a set of axioms that are similar to Krivine’s well-known axioms for the subspaces of Lp-Banach spaces (when p/2 is not an integer). We also extend this result to the limiting case q = ∞.  相似文献

Let D be an infinite division ring. A famous result due to Herstein says that every non-central element of D has infinitely many conjugates and so, if D * is an FC-group, then D is a field. Let M be a maximal subgroup of GL n (D), where n ≥ 1. In this paper, we prove that if M is an FC-group, then it is the multiplicative group of some maximal subfield of M n (D). Moreover, if M is algebraic over Z(D), then [D : Z(D)] < ∞.  相似文献

Let I be a finite interval, s ∈ ℕ0, and r,ν,n ∈ ℕ. Given a set M, of functions defined on I, denote by M the subset of all functions yM such that the s-difference is nonnegative on I, ∀τ > 0. Further, denote by the Sobolev class of functions x on I with the seminorm . Also denote by Σ ν,n , the manifold of all piecewise polynomials of order ν and with n – 1 knots in I. If ν ≥ max {r,s}, 1 ≤ p,q ≤ ∞, and (r,p,q) ≠ (1,1,∞), then we give exact orders of the best unconstrained approximation and of the best s-monotonicity preserving approximation . Part of this work was done while the first author visited Tel Aviv University in May 2003 and in March 2004.  相似文献

Let H be a complex Hilbert space of dimension greater than 2, and B(H) denote the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. For A, BB(H), define the binary relation A ≤* B by A*A = A*B and AA* = AB*. Then (B(H), “≤*”) is a partially ordered set and the relation “≤*” is called the star order on B(H). Denote by Bs(H) the set of all self-adjoint operators in B(H). In this paper, we first characterize nonlinear continuous bijective maps on B s (H) which preserve the star order in both directions. We characterize also additive maps (or linear maps) on B(H) (or nest algebras) which are multiplicative at some invertible operator.  相似文献

Let {εt;t ∈ Z} be a sequence of m-dependent B-valued random elements with mean zeros and finite second moment. {a3;j ∈ Z} is a sequence of real numbers satisfying ∑j=-∞^∞|aj| 〈 ∞. Define a moving average process Xt = ∑j=-∞^∞aj+tEj,t ≥ 1, and Sn = ∑t=1^n Xt,n ≥ 1. In this article, by using the weak convergence theorem of { Sn/√ n _〉 1}, we study the precise asymptotics of the complete convergence for the sequence {Xt; t ∈ N}.  相似文献

Let R be a ring, n a fixed nonnegative integer and FP n (F n ) the class of all left (right) R-modules of FP-injective (flat) dimensions at most n. A left R-module M (resp., right R-module F) is called n-FI-injective (resp., n-FI-flat) if Ext 1(N,M) = 0 (resp., Tor 1(F,N) = 0) for any NFP n . It is shown that a left R-module M over any ring R is n-FI-injective if and only if M is a kernel of an FP n -precover f: AB with A injective. For a left coherent ring R, it is proven that a finitely presented right R-module M is n-FI-flat if and only if M is a cokernel of an F n -preenvelope KF of a right R-module K with F projective if and only if M F n . These classes of modules are used to construct cotorsion theories and to characterize the global dimension of a ring.  相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode, α, β ∈ Aut Hopf (H) and M a finite dimensional (α, β)-Yetter-Drinfeld module. We prove that End(M) endowed with certain structures becomes an H-Azumaya algebra, and the set of H-Azumaya algebras of this type is a subgroup of BQ(k, H), the Brauer group of H.  相似文献

A finite group G is called p i -central of height k if every element of order p i of G is contained in the k th -term ζ k (G) of the ascending central series of G. If p is odd, such a group has to be p-nilpotent (Thm. A). Finite p-central p-groups of height p − 2 can be seen as the dual analogue of finite potent p-groups, i.e., for such a finite p-group P the group P1(P) is also p-central of height p − 2 (Thm. B). In such a group P, the index of P p is less than or equal to the order of the subgroup Ω1(P) (Thm. C). If the Sylow p-subgroup P of a finite group G is p-central of height p − 1, p odd, and N G (P) is p-nilpotent, then G is also p-nilpotent (Thm. D). Moreover, if G is a p-soluble finite group, p odd, and P ∈ Syl p (G) is p-central of height p − 2, then N G (P) controls p-fusion in G (Thm. E). It is well-known that the last two properties hold for Swan groups (see [11]).  相似文献
