The characteristics of the head-on collision between two-quantum ion-acoustic solitary waves (QIASWs) in a dense electron-positron-ion plasma are investigated. Using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method, the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations and the analytical phase shifts, after two QIASWs collision occurs, are derived. This study is a first attempt to illustrate the effects of both of the quantum diffraction corrections and the Fermi temperature ratio of positrons to electrons on the phase shifts. It is found that the electron-positron-ion plasma parameters modify significantly the phase shifts of the two colliding solitary waves.  相似文献

Using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (EPLK) method, the interaction between two ion acoustic solitary waves (IASWs) in a multicomponent magnetized plasma (including Tsallis nonextensive electrons) has been theoretically investigated. The analytical phase shifts of the two solitary waves after interaction are estimated. The proposed model leads to rarefactive solitons only. The effects of colliding angle, ratio of number densities of (positive/negative) ions species to the density of nonextensive electrons, ion-to-electron temperature ratio, mass ratio of the negative-to-positive ions and the electron nonextensive parameter on the phase shifts are investigated numerically. The present results show that these parameters have strong effects on the phase shifts and trajectories of the two IASWs after collision. Evidently, this model is helpful for interpreting the propagation and the oblique collision of IASWs in magnetized multicomponent plasma experiments and space observations.  相似文献

The effects of head-on collision on dust acoustic (DA) solitary and shock waves in dusty plasma are investigated considering positively charged inertial dust, Boltzmann distributed negatively charged heavy ions, positively charged light ions, and superthermal electrons in the plasma system. The nonlinear Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) Burger equations are derived taking the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo method into account to study the characteristic properties of nonlinearity and production of solitary shock due to collisions. The study reveals that the amplitudes and widths of the DA shock waves are decreasing with increasing viscosity, electron to dust density ratio, and dust to ion temperature ratio, while they are increasing due to the presence of superthermal electrons. The nonlinearity of DA waves are enhanced with increasing density ratio of electron to dust and temperature ratio of dust to ion and electron, respectively, but it is reducing with superthermal electrons. The phase shifts of DA solitary waves are found to decrease with rising superthermality of electrons and increase with the density ratio of electron to dust.  相似文献

In consideration of adiabatic dust charge variation, the combined effect of the external magnetized field and the dust temperature on head-on collision of the three-dimensional dust acoustic solitary waves is investigated. By using the extended Poincar\'e--Lighthill--Kuo method, the phase shifts and the trajectories of two solitons after the collision are obtained. The effects of the magnitude and the obliqueness of the external magnetic field and the dust temperature on the solitary wave collisions are discussed in detail.  相似文献

Ion-acoustic shock waves and their head-on collision in a dense quantum plasma comprised of electrons, positrons, and ions are studied. The extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method is used to derive the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equations for shock waves in this plasma. The dissipation is introduced by taking into account the kinematic viscosity among the plasma constituents. The effects of the ratio of positrons to ions unperturbation number density μ, the normalized kinematic viscosity ηi0, and the quantum Bohm potential H on the interaction and structure of the shock waves are investigated. It is found that there are integrally vertical downward movements for both the colliding shocks after their head-on collision, but there are no shifts of the postcollision trajectories (phase shifts). It is also found that these plasma parameters can significantly influence the collision and properties of the colliding shocks. The results may have relevance in dense astrophysical plasmas (such as neutron stars or white dwarfs) as well as in intense laser-solid density plasma experiments.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust‐ion‐acoustic (DIA) solitary structures have been studied in a dusty plasma, including the Cairns‐Gurevich distribution for electrons, both negative and positive ions, and immobile opposite polarity dust grains. The external magnetic field directed along the z‐axis is considered. By using the standard reductive perturbation technique and the hydrodynamics model for the ion fluid, the modified Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation was derived for small but finite amplitude waves and was provided the solitary wave solution for the parameters relevant. Using the appropriate independent variable, we could find the modified Korteweg–de Vries equation. By plotting some figures, we have discussed and emphasized how the different plasma values, such as the trapping parameter, the positive (or negative) dust number density, the non‐thermal electron parameter, and the ion cyclotron frequency, can influence the solitary wave structures. In addition, using the bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems, we have extracted the centre and saddle points and illustrated the phase portrait of such a system for some particular plasma parameters. Finally, we have graphically investigated the behaviour of the solitary energy wave by changing the plasma values as well as by calculating the instability criterion; we have also discussed the growth rate of the solitary waves. The results could be useful for studying the physical mechanism of nonlinear propagation of DIA solitary waves in laboratory and space plasmas where non‐thermal electrons, pair‐ions, and dust particles can exist.  相似文献

The head-on collision between two ion-acoustic solitary waves in an unmagnetized electron-positron-ion plasma has been investigated. By using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method, we obtain the KdV equation and the analytical phase shift after the head-on collision of two solitary waves in this three-component plasma. The effects of the ratio of electron temperature to positron temperature, and the ratio of the number density of positrons to that of electrons on the phase shift are studied. It is found that these parameters can significantly influence the phase shifts of the solitons. Moreover, the compressive solitary wave can propagate in this system.  相似文献

The nonlinear propagation of small amplitude dust‐acoustic (DA) solitary waves in magnetized dusty plasma consisting of negatively charged mobile dust fluid, and Boltzmann‐distributed electrons and ions with two distinct temperatures following a q‐nonextensive distribution are investigated. In this article, a number of nonlinear equations, namely, the Korteweg–de‐Vries (K‐dV) equations, have been derived by employing the reductive perturbation technique that is valid for a small but finite amplitude limit. The effects of nonextensivity of ions with two distinct temperatures and dust concentration on the amplitude and width of DA solitary waves are investigated theoretically. It is observed that both the nonextensive and low‐temperatures ions significantly modify the basic properties and polarities of DA solitary waves. It is shown that both positive and negative potential DA solitons occur in this case. The implications of these results to some astrophysical environments and space plasmas (e.g., stellar polytropes, peculiar velocity distributions of galaxies, and collisionless thermal plasma), and laboratory dusty plasma systems are briefly mentioned.  相似文献

This paper discusses the existence of ion-acoustic solitary waves and their interaction in a dense quantum electron-positron-ion plasma by using the quantum hydrodynamic equations. The extended Poincar’e-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method is used to derive the Korteweg-de Vries equations for quantum ion-acoustic solitary waves in this plasma. The effects of the ratio of positrons to ions unperturbation number density p and the quantum diffraction parameter H e (H p) on the newly formed wave during interaction, and the phase shift of the colliding solitary waves are studied. It is found that the interaction between two solitary waves fits linear superposition principle and these plasma parameters have significantly influence on the newly formed wave and phase shift of the colliding solitary waves. The investigations should be useful for understanding the propagation and interaction of ion-acoustic solitary waves in dense astrophysical plasmas (such as white dwarfs) as well as in intense laser-solid matter interaction experiments.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Nonlinear propagation of dust-ion-acoustic shock waves in an unmagnetized, collisionless four-component quantum plasma containing electrons, positrons, ions and negatively charged dust grains affected by dust charge variations and viscosity of ions is studied using quantum hydrodynamic model. Considering dust charge variation give rise to calculating of charging currents of the plasma particles. These currents have been calculated with orbit limited motion theory and using Fermi-distribution functions or Boltzmann–Maxwell distribution depending on quantum or classical particles, respectively. The basic characteristics of quantum dust-ion-acoustic shock waves are investigated by deriving Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation under the reductive perturbation method. Depending on the relative values of the dispersive and dissipative coefficients, oscillatory and monotonic shock waves can propagate in the plasma model. The effect of chemical potential and density of dust particles on the shock wave’s height and thickness is investigated. In addition, the critical value of H (Hc) is calculated and it is shown that for R?>?0 compressive shock waves and for R?<?0 rarefactive ones can exist. The present study is applicable to researchers on quantum nonlinear structures in dense astrophysical objects and ultra-small micro- and nano-electronic devices.  相似文献

We investigate the face-to-face collision between multisolitons in spin-1/2 quantum plasma. It is studied in the framework of the model proposed by Marklund et al in Phys. Rev. E 76, 067401 (2007). This study is done with the help of the extended Poincare–Lighthill–Kno (PLK) method. The extended PLK method is also used to obtain two Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equations and the phase shifts and trajectories during the head-on collision of multisolitons. The collision-induced phase shifts (trajectory changes) are also obtained. The effects of the Zeeman energy, total mass density of the charged plasma particles, speed of the wave and the ratio of the sound speed to Alfvén speed on the phase shifts are studied. It is observed that the phase shifts are significantly affected by all these parameters.  相似文献

In the present research paper, the study of the head-on collision between two ion thermal solitary waves is investigated in a two-fluid (i.e., a pair-ion) plasma consisting of positive and negative ions as well as a fraction of stationary (positively/negatively) charged dust impurities, using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo method. The effects of the concentration of charged dust impurities and the positive-to-negative ion temperature ratio on the solitary waves collisions are investigated. It is found that the phase shift is significantly affected by the presence of the positive-to-negative ion temperature ratio and positively/negatively charged dust grains.  相似文献

Bifurcation analysis of dust acoustic (DA) periodic waves in three components, unmagnetized dusty plasma system is investigated using the generalized (r, q) distribution function for ions and electrons. Depending on the different parameters of the system considered, all possible phase portraits, including periodic, homoclinic, superperiodic, and superhomoclinic trajectories, are presented. The existence of rarefactive and compressive solitary waves is proved. Also, the plasma system under consideration supports both nonlinear and supernonlinear DA periodic waves. It has been found that the double spectral indices r and q play a decisive effect on the bifurcation of the waves.  相似文献

We used a new distribution of electrons in a two-component magnetized plasma to study the non-linear ion-acoustic solitary structures. The distribution called “Cairns–Gurevich distribution” describes simultaneously the evolution of the energetic electrons and those trapped in the plasma potential well. A modified KdV equation describing the non-linear comportment of the ion-acoustic wave (IAW) was found by using the standard reductive perturbation technique and the appropriate independent variables. The behaviour of the soliton by changing the plasma parameters has been investigated, and we demonstrated that by decreasing the non-thermality parameter, the soliton solution amplitude is enhanced. In addition, we have discussed the growth rate of the solitary waves by calculating the instability criterion. Through discussion, we have conferred how different plasma parameters, such as the trapping, non-thermality, Mach number, obliqueness via the angle of propagation, and magnetic field via the ion-cyclotron frequency, can affect the solitary wave structures. This kind of theoretical studies can be relevant to understand the non-linear propagation of IA solitary waves plasmas of electrons and particles in laser-plasma interaction, pulsar magnetosphere, the auroral zone, and the upper ionosphere, where plasma with trapped and energetic electrons are often present.  相似文献

A generalized response (dielectric) function for twisted electrostatic waves is derived for an un‐magnetized self‐gravitating thermal dusty plasma, whose constituents are the Boltzmann‐distributed electrons and positive ions in the presence of negatively charged micrometre‐sized massive dust particulates. For this purpose, a set of Vlasov–Poisson coupled equations is solved along with the perturbed Laguerre–Gauss distribution function, as well as the electrostatic and gravitational potentials in the limit of paraxial approximation. For plane wave solution, the wavefronts of the dust‐acoustic (DA ) wave are assumed to have a constant phase with electric and gravitational field lines propagating straight along the propagation axis. On the other hand, non‐planar wave solutions show helical (twisted) wavefronts, in which field lines spiral around the propagation axis owing to the azimuthal velocity component to account for the finite orbital angular momentum (OAM ) states. The dispersion relation and damping rate for twisted DA waves are studied both analytically and numerically. It is shown that finite OAM states, the dust to electron temperature ratio, and dust self‐gravitation effects significantly affect the linear dispersion and Landau damping frequencies. In particular, the phase speed of twisted DA waves is reduced with the variation of the twist parameter η (= k /lqϕ ), dust concentration δ (= nd 0/ni 0), and dust self‐gravitation α (= ωJd /ωpd ). The relevance of our findings to interstellar dust clouds is also discussed for micrometre‐sized massive dust grains.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear dust acoustic(DA)waves have been investigated in an opposite polarity dusty plasma comprising negatively and positively charged dust grains,Maxwellian electrons and ions, including the generalized polarization force effect. The properties of linear DA waves have been significantly altered by the dual dust polarity and polarization force.Large amplitude DA solitons have been discussed in the framework of the Sagdeev potential technique. Our results show that both rarefactive and compressive solitons can exist in such a dusty plasma. The basic features of the Sagdeev potential have been examined under the effect of the polarization force parameter R,the ratio of the charge number of the positive dust to that of the negative dust Z,and the Mach number M.The results show that these parameters play a significant role in determining the region of existence of large amplitude DA solitons.  相似文献

Head-on collision between two ion acoustic solitary waves in a Thomas-Fermi plasma containing degenerate electrons and positrons is investigated using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) method. The results show that the phase shifts due to the collision are strongly dependent on the positron-to-electron number density ratio, the electron-to-positron Fermi temperature ratio and the ion-to-electron Fermi temperature ratio. The present study might be helpful to understand the excitation of nonlinear ion-acoustic solitary waves in a degenerate plasma such as in superdense white dwarfs.  相似文献
