In this article we study the (small) Hankel operator hb on the Hardy and Bergman spaces on a smoothly bounded convex domain of finite type in ℂn. We completely characterize the Hankel operators hb that are bounded, compact, and belong to the Schatten ideal Sp, for 0 < p < ∞. In particular, if hb denotes the Hankel operator on the Hardy space H2 (Ω), we prove that hb is bounded if and only if b ∈ BMOA, compact if and only if b ∈ VMOA, and in the Schatten class if and only if b ∈e Bp, 0 < p < ∞. This last result extends the analog theorem in the case of the unit disc of Peller [19] and Semmes [21]. In order to characterize the bounded Hankel operators, we prove a factorization theorem for functions in H1 (Ω), a result that is of independent interest.  相似文献

This is a continuation of our paper [2]. We prove that for functions f in the Hölder class Λα(R) and 1<p<∞, the operator f(A)−f(B) belongs to Sp/α, whenever A and B are self-adjoint operators with ABSp. We also obtain sharp estimates for the Schatten-von Neumann norms ‖f(A)−f(B)Sp/α in terms of ‖ABSp and establish similar results for other operator ideals. We also estimate Schatten-von Neumann norms of higher order differences . We prove that analogous results hold for functions on the unit circle and unitary operators and for analytic functions in the unit disk and contractions. Then we find necessary conditions on f for f(A)−f(B) to belong to Sq under the assumption that ABSp. We also obtain Schatten-von Neumann estimates for quasicommutators f(A)RRf(B), and introduce a spectral shift function and find a trace formula for operators of the form f(AK)−2f(A)+f(A+K).  相似文献

For a certain class of operators defined by integral kernels, a necessary and sufficient condition is given for the belonging to the Schatten-von Neumann idealsC P. The operators considered generalize the classical Hankel operators; the results thus extend Peller's characterization of the Hankel operators in a classC P.  相似文献

We obtain a generalized paraproduct decomposition of the pointwise product of two or more functions that naturally gives rise to multilinear dyadic paraproducts and Haar multipliers. We then study the boundedness properties of these multilinear operators and their commutators with dyadic BMO functions. We also characterize the dyadic BMO functions via the boundedness of (a) certain paraproducts, and (b) the commutators of multilinear Haar multipliers and paraproduct operators.  相似文献

We study continuity properties for a family {sp}p?1 of increasing Banach algebras under the twisted convolution, which also satisfies that asp, if and only if the Weyl operator aw(x,D) is a Schatten-von Neumann operator of order p on L2. We discuss inclusion relations between the sp-spaces, Besov spaces and Sobolev spaces. We prove also a Young type result on sp for dilated convolution. As an application we prove that f(a)∈s1, when as1 and f is an entire odd function. We finally apply the results on Toeplitz operators and prove that we may extend the definition for such operators.  相似文献

Toeplitz and Hankel type operators on the upper half-plane   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
An orthogonal decomposition of admissible wavelets is constructed via the Laguerre polynomials, it turns to give a complete decomposition of the space of square integrable functions on the upper half-plane with the measurey dxdy. The first subspace is just the weighted Bergman (or Dzhrbashyan) space. Three types of Ha-plitz operators are defined, they are the generalization of classical Toeplitz, small and big Hankel operators respectively. Their boundedness, compactness and Schatten-von Neumann properties are studied.Research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献

We show that for positive operator B : E → E on Banach lattices, if there exists a positive operator S : E → E such that:1.SB ≤ BS;2.S is quasinilpotent at some x0 > 0; 3.S dominates a non-zero b-AM-compact operator, then B has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace. Also, we prove that for two commuting non-zero positive operators on Banach lattices, if one of them is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector and the other dominates a non-zero b-AM-compact operator, then both of them have a common non-trivial closed invariant ideal. Then we introduce the class of b-AM-compact-friendly operators and show that a non-zero positive b-AM- compact-friendly operator which is quasinilpotent at some x0 > 0 has a non-trivial closed invariant ideal.  相似文献

Compact Hankel operators on harmonic Bergman spaces   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We study Hankel operators on the harmonic Bergman spaceb 2(B), whereB is the open unit ball inR n,n2. We show that iff is in then the Hankel operator with symbolf is compact. For the proof we have to extend the definition of Hankel operators to the spacesb p(B), 1<p<, and use an interpolation theorem. We also use the explicit formula for the orthogonal projection ofL 2(B, dV) ontob 2(B). This result implies that the commutator and semi-commutator of Toeplitz operators with symbols in are compact.  相似文献

We present an effective algorithm for estimating the norm of an operator mapping a low-dimensional ?p space to a Banach space with an easily computable norm. We use that algorithm to show that Matsaev’s proposed extension of the inequality of John von Neumann is false in case p=4. Matsaev conjectured that for every contraction T on Lp (1<p<) one has for any polynomial P
P(T)‖LpLp?‖P(S)‖?p(Z+)→?p(Z+)  相似文献

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for Hankel operators Hf on the harmonic Bergman space of the unit ball to be in the Schatten p-class for 2 ≤ p < ∞. A special case when symbol f is a harmonic function is also considered.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate Hankel operators with anti-holomorphic symbols ∈L2(C,m|z|), where are general Fock spaces. We will show that is not continuous if the corresponding symbol is not a polynomial . For polynomial symbols we will give necessary and sufficient conditions for continuity and compactness in terms of N and m. For monomials we will give a complete characterization of the Schatten-von Neumann p-class membership for p>0. Namely in case 2k<m the Hankel operators are in the Schatten-von Neumann p-class iff p>2m/(m−2k); and in case 2k?m they are not in the Schatten-von Neumann p-class.  相似文献

Let Ω be a bounded domain in the plane whose boundary consists of a finite number of disjoint analytic simple closed curves LetA denote the space of analytic functions on Ω which are square integrable over Ω with respect to area measure and letP denote the orthogonal projection ofL 2(Ω,dA) ontoA. A functionb inA induces a Hankel operator (densely defined) onA by the ruleH b (g)=(I?P)bg. This paper continues earlier investigations of the authors and others by determining conditions under whichH b is bounded, compact, or lies in the Schatten-von Neumann idealS p , 1<p<∞  相似文献

Let B(X) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on the Banach space X, and let N(X) be the set of nilpotent operators in B(X). Suppose ?:B(X)→B(X) is a surjective map such that A,BB(X) satisfy ABN(X) if and only if ?(A)?(B)∈N(X). If X is infinite dimensional, then there exists a map f:B(X)→C?{0} such that one of the following holds:

There is a bijective bounded linear or conjugate-linear operator S:XX such that ? has the form A?S[f(A)A]S-1.

The space X is reflexive, and there exists a bijective bounded linear or conjugate-linear operator S : X′ → X such that ? has the form A ? S[f(A)A′]S−1.
If X has dimension n with 3 ? n < ∞, and B(X) is identified with the algebra Mn of n × n complex matrices, then there exist a map f:MnC?{0}, a field automorphism ξ:CC, and an invertible S ∈ Mn such that ? has one of the following forms:

Let B(H) be the algebra of bounded linear operator acting on a Hilbert space H (over the complex or real field). Characterization is given to A1,…,AkB(H) such that for any unitary operators is always in a special class S of operators such as normal operators, self-adjoint operators, unitary operators. As corollaries, characterizations are given to AB(H) such that complex, real or nonnegative linear combinations of operators in its unitary orbit U(A)={UAU:Uunitary} always lie in S.  相似文献

In 1993, Y. A. Abramovich, C. D. Aliprantis and O. Burkinshaw showed that every continuous operator with modulus on an lp-space (1 ≤ p < ∞) whose modulus commutes with a non-zero positive operator T on lp that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x0 has a non-trivial invariant closed subspace. In this paper, it is proved that if is a collection of continuous operators with moduli on lp that is finitely modulus-quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 then and its right modulus sub-commutant have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace. In particular, all continuous operators with moduli on l p whose moduli commute with a non-zero positive operator I on l p that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace, so that all positive operators on l p which commute with a non-zero positive operator S on l p that is quasinilpotent at a non-zero positive vector x 0 have a common non-trivial invariant closed subspace. Compact Operators on Bergman Spaces   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We prove that a bounded operator S on L a p for p > 1 is compact if and only if the Berezin transform of S vanishes on the boundary of the unit disk if S satisfies some integrable conditions. Some estimates about the norm and essential norm of Toeplitz operators with symbols in BT are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper we show that the theory of Hankel operators in the torus d , ford>1, presents striking differences with that on the circle , starting with bounded Hankel operators with no bounded symbols. Such differences are circumvented here by replacing the space of symbolsL ( ) by BMOr( d ), a subspace of product BMO, and the singular numbers of Hankel operators by so-called sigma numbers. This leads to versions of the Nehari-AAK and Kronecker theorems, and provides conditions for the existence of solutions of product Pick problems through finite Picktype matrices. We give geometric and duality characterizations of BMOr, and of a subspace of it, bmo, closely linked withA 2 weights. This completes some aspects of the theory of BMO in product spaces.Sadosky was partially supported by NSF grants DMS-9205926, INT-9204043 and GER-9550373, and her visit to MSRI is supported by NSF grant DMS-9022140 to MSRI.  相似文献
