We consider the problem of finding positive solutions of Δu+λu+uq=0 in a bounded, smooth domain Ω in , under zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. Here q is a number close to the critical exponent 5 and 0<λ<λ1. We analyze the role of Green's function of Δ+λ in the presence of solutions exhibiting single and multiple bubbling behavior at one point of the domain when either q or λ are regarded as parameters. As a special case of our results, we find that if , where λ∗ is the Brezis-Nirenberg number, i.e., the smallest value of λ for which least energy solutions for q=5 exist, then this problem is solvable if q>5 and q−5 is sufficiently small.  相似文献

We study a class of pseudodifferential operators known as time-frequency localization operators, Anti-Wick operators, Gabor-Toeplitz operators or wave packets. Given a symbol a and two windows ?1,?2, we investigate the multilinear mapping from to the localization operator Aa?1,?2 and we give sufficient and necessary conditions for Aa?1,?2 to be bounded or to belong to a Schatten class. Our results are formulated in terms of time-frequency analysis, in particular we use modulation spaces as appropriate classes for symbols and windows.  相似文献

Column and row operator spaces—which we denote by COL and ROW, respectively—over arbitrary Banach spaces were introduced by the first-named author; for Hilbert spaces, these definitions coincide with the usual ones. Given a locally compact group G and p,p′∈(1,∞) with , we use the operator space structure on to equip the Figà-Talamanca-Herz algebra Ap(G) with an operator space structure, turning it into a quantized Banach algebra. Moreover, we show that, for p?q?2 or 2?q?p and amenable G, the canonical inclusion Aq(G)⊂Ap(G) is completely bounded (with cb-norm at most , where is Grothendieck's constant). As an application, we show that G is amenable if and only if Ap(G) is operator amenable for all—and equivalently for one—p∈(1,∞); this extends a theorem by Ruan.  相似文献

We study the long-time behavior of solutions of semilinear parabolic equation of the following type tu−Δu+a0(x)uq=0 where , d0>0, 1>q>0, and ω is a positive continuous radial function. We give a Dini-like condition on the function ω by two different methods which implies that any solution of the above equation vanishes in a finite time. The first one is a variant of a local energy method and the second one is derived from semi-classical limits of some Schrödinger operators.  相似文献

Let and Xi, i=1,…,n, be bounded linear operators on a separable Hilbert space such that Xi is compact for i=1,…,n. It is shown that the singular values of are dominated by those of , where ‖·‖ is the usual operator norm. Among other applications of this inequality, we prove that if A and B are self-adjoint operators such that a1?A?a2 and b1?B?b2 for some real numbers and b2, and if X is compact, then the singular values of the generalized commutator AX-XB are dominated by those of max(b2-a1,a2-b1)(XX). This inequality proves a recent conjecture concerning the singular values of commutators. Several inequalities for norms of commutators are also given.  相似文献

Very few Banach spaces E are known for which the lattice of closed ideals in the Banach algebra of all (bounded, linear) operators on E is fully understood. Indeed, up to now the only such Banach spaces are, up to isomorphism, Hilbert spaces and the sequence spaces c0 and ?p for 1?p<∞. We add a new member to this family by showing that there are exactly four closed ideals in for the Banach space E?(⊕?2n)c0, that is, E is the c0-direct sum of the finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces ?21,?22,…,?2n,… .  相似文献

In this paper, the authors first establish the maximal function characterizations of the Besov-type space with and τ∈[0,), the Triebel-Lizorkin-type space with p∈(0,), q∈(0,] and τ∈[0,), the Besov-Hausdorff space with p∈(1,), q∈[1,) and and the Triebel-Lizorkin-Hausdorff space with and , where t denotes the conjugate index of t∈[1,]. Using this characterization, the authors further obtain the local mean characterizations of these function spaces via functions satisfying the Tauberian condition and establish a Fourier multiplier theorem on these spaces. All these results generalize the existing classical results on Besov and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces by taking τ=0 and are also new even for Q spaces and Hardy-Hausdorff spaces.  相似文献

We show that if is of finite rank for every inner function θ, then X=T?+F for some Toeplitz operator T? and some finite rank operator F on H2. In this paper we consider the elliptic system Δu=a(x)upvq, Δv=b(x)urvs in Ω, a smooth bounded domain, with boundary conditions , on ∂Ω. Here λ and μ are regarded as parameters and p,s>1, q,r>0 verify (p−1)(s−1)>qr. We consider the case where a(x)?0 in Ω and a(x) is allowed to vanish in an interior subdomain Ω0, while b(x)>0 in . Our main results include existence of nonnegative nontrivial solutions in the range 0<λ<λ1?∞, μ>0, where λ1 is characterized by means of an eigenvalue problem, and the uniqueness of such solutions. We study nonglobal positive solutions to the Dirichlet problem for ut=upu+u) in bounded domains, where 0<p<2. It is proved that the set of points at which u blows up has positive measure and the blow-up rate is exactly . If either the space dimension is one or p<1, the ω-limit set of consists of continuous functions solving .
