The synthesis and characterization of original NHC ligands based on an imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridin‐3‐ylidene (IPy) scaffold functionalized with a flanking barbituric heterocycle is described as well as their use as tunable ligands for efficient gold‐catalyzed C?N, C?O, and C?C bond formations. High activity, regio‐, chemo‐, and stereoselectivities are obtained for hydroelementation and domino processes, underlining the excellent performance (TONs and TOFs) of these IPy‐based ligands in gold catalysis. The gold‐catalyzed domino reactions of 1,6‐enynes give rise to functionalized heterocycles in excellent isolated yields under mild conditions. The efficiency of the NHC gold 5Me complex is remarkable and mostly arises from a combination of steric protection and stabilization of the cationic AuI active species by ligand 1Me .  相似文献

We report the reactions of catecholborane (HBcat; 1 ) with unsaturated and saturated NHCs as well as CAACMe. Mono‐NHC adducts of the type HBcat?NHC (NHC=nPr2Im, iPr2Im, iPr2ImMe, and Dipp2Im) were obtained by stoichiometric reactions of HBcat with the unsaturated NHCs. The reaction of CAACMe with HBcat yielded the B?H activated product CAACMe(H)Bcat via insertion of the carbine‐carbon atom into the B?H bond. The saturated NHC Dipp2SIm reacted in a 2:2 ratio yielding an NHC ring‐expanded product at room temperature forming a six‐membered ?B?C=N?C=C?N? ring via C?N bond cleavage and further migration of the hydrides from two HBcat molecules to the former carbene‐carbon atom.  相似文献

A general regioselective rhodium‐catalyzed head‐to‐tail dimerization of terminal alkynes is presented. The presence of a pyridine ligand (py) in a Rh–N‐heterocyclic‐carbene (NHC) catalytic system not only dramatically switches the chemoselectivity from alkyne cyclotrimerization to dimerization but also enhances the catalytic activity. Several intermediates have been detected in the catalytic process, including the π‐alkyne‐coordinated RhI species [RhCl(NHC)(η2‐HC?CCH2Ph)(py)] ( 3 ) and [RhCl(NHC){η2‐C(tBu)?C(E)CH?CHtBu}(py)] ( 4 ) and the RhIII–hydride–alkynyl species [RhClH{? C?CSi(Me)3}(IPr)(py)2] ( 5 ). Computational DFT studies reveal an operational mechanism consisting of sequential alkyne C? H oxidative addition, alkyne insertion, and reductive elimination. A 2,1‐hydrometalation of the alkyne is the more favorable pathway in accordance with a head‐to‐tail selectivity.  相似文献

A series of six‐ and seven‐membered expanded‐ring N‐heterocyclic carbene (er‐NHC) gold(I) complexes has been synthesized using different synthetic approaches. Complexes with weakly coordinating anions [(er‐NHC)AuX] (X?=BF4?, NTf2?, OTf?) were generated in solution. According to their 13C NMR spectra, the ionic character of the complexes increases in the order X?=Cl?<NTf2?<OTf?<BF4?. Additional factors for stabilization of the cationic complexes are expansion of the NHC ring and the attachment of bulky substituents at the nitrogen atoms. These er‐NHCs are bulkier ligands and stronger electron donors than conventional NHCs as well as phosphines and sulfides and provide more stabilization of [(L)Au+] cations. A comparative study has been carried out of the catalytic activities of five‐, six‐, and seven‐membered carbene complexes [(NHC)AuX], [(Ph3P)AuX], [(Me2S)AuX], and inorganic compounds of gold in model reactions of indole and benzofuran synthesis. It was found that increased ionic character of the complexes was correlated with increased catalytic activity in the cyclization reactions. As a result, we developed an unprecedentedly active monoligand cationic [(THD‐Dipp)Au]BF4 (1,3‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)‐3,4,5,6‐tetrahydrodiazepin‐2‐ylidene gold(I) tetrafluoroborate) catalyst bearing seven‐membered‐ring carbene and bulky Dipp substituents. Quantitative yields of cyclized products were attained in several minutes at room temperature at 1 mol % catalyst loadings. The experimental observations were rationalized and fully supported by DFT calculations.  相似文献

Gold carbene reactivity patterns were accessed by ynamide insertion into a C(sp3)? H bond. A substantial increase in molecular complexity occurred through the cascade polycyclization of N‐allyl ynamides to form fused nitrogen‐heterocycle scaffolds. Exquisite selectivity was observed despite several competing pathways in an efficient gold‐catalyzed synthesis of densely functionalized C(sp3)‐rich polycycles and a copper‐catalyzed synthesis of fused pyridine derivatives. The respective gold–keteniminium and ketenimine activation pathways have been explored through a structure–reactivity study, and isotopic labeling identified turnover‐limiting C? H bond‐cleavage in both processes.  相似文献

A new class of cyclometalated AuIII complexes containing various bidentate C‐deprotonated C^N and cis‐chelating bis(N‐heterocyclic carbene) (bis‐NHC) ligands has been synthesized and characterized. These are the first examples of AuIII complexes supported by cis‐chelating bis‐NHC ligands. [Au(C^N)(bis‐NHC)] complexes display emission in solutions under degassed condition at room temperature with emission maxima (λmax) at 498–633 nm and emission quantum yields of up to 10.1 %. The emissions are assigned to triplet intraligand (IL) π→π* transitions of C^N ligands. The AuIII complex containing a C^N (C‐deprotonated naphthalene‐substituted quinoline) ligand with extended π‐conjugation exhibits prompt fluorescence and phosphorescence of comparable intensity with λmax at 454 and 611 nm respectively. With sulfonate‐functionalized bis‐NHC ligand, four water‐soluble luminescent AuIII complexes, including those displaying both fluorescence and phosphorescence, were prepared. They show similar photophysical properties in water when compared with their counterparts in acetonitrile. The long phosphorescence lifetime of the water‐soluble AuIII complex with C‐deprotonated naphthalene‐substituted quinoline ligand renders it to function as ratiometric sensor for oxygen. Inhibitory activity of one of these water‐soluble AuIII complexes towards deubiquitinase (DUB) UCHL3 has been investigated; this complex also displayed a significant inhibitory activity with IC50 value of 0.15 μM .  相似文献

Attempts to coordinate neutral ligands to low oxidation state indium centers are often hindered by disproportionation pathways that produce elemental indium and higher oxidation state species. In contrast, we find that reactions of the salt, InOTf (OTf=trifluoromethanesulfonate), with α‐diimine ligands yielded intensely colored compounds with no evidence of decomposition. X‐ray structural analysis of InOTf ? MesDABMe (MesDABMe=N,N‐dimesityl‐2,3‐dimethyl‐diazabutadiene; 1 ) reveals a discrete molecular compound with a pyramidal coordination environment at the indium center, consistent with the presence of a stereochemically active lone pair of electrons on indium and a neutral diazabutadiene chelate ligand. The use of the less‐electron‐rich MesDABH ligand (MesDABH=N,N‐dimesityl‐diazabutadiene) engenders dramatically different reactivity and produces a metallopolymer (InOTf ? MesDABH) ( 2 ) linked via C? C and In? In bonds. The difference in reactivity is rationalized by cyclic voltammetry and DFT studies that suggest more facile electron transfer from InI to the MesDABH and bis(aryl)acenaphthenequinonediimine (BIAN) ligands. Solution EPR spectroscopy indicates the presence of non‐interacting ligand‐based radicals in solution, whereas solid‐state EPR studies reflect the presence of a thermally accessible spin triplet consistent with reversible C? C bond cleavage.  相似文献

An efficient visible light induced rhodium(I)‐catalyzed regioselective borylation of aromatic C?H bonds is reported. The photocatalytic system is based on a single NHC?RhI complex capable of both harvesting visible light and enabling the bond breaking/forming at room temperature. The chelating nature of the NHC‐carboxylate ligand was critical to ensure the stability of the RhI complex and to provide excellent photocatalytic activities. Experimental mechanistic studies evidenced a photooxidative ortho C?H bond addition upon irradiation with blue LEDs, leading to a cyclometalated RhIII‐hydride intermediate.  相似文献

Star polymers with end‐functionalized arm chains (surface‐functionalized star polymers) were synthesized by the in situ linking reaction between ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (linking agent) and an α‐end‐functionalized linear living poly(methyl methacrylate) in RuCl2(PPh3)3‐catalyzed living radical polymerization; the terminal on the surface functionalities included amides, alcohols, amines, and esters. The star polymers were obtained in high yields (75–90%) with initiating systems consisting of a functionalized 2‐chloro‐2‐phenylacetate or ‐acetamide [F? C(O)CHPhCl; F = nPrNH? , HOCH2CH2O? , Me2NCH2CH2O? , or EtO? ; initiator] and n‐Bu3N (additive). The yield was lower with a functionalized 2‐bromoisobutyrate [Me2NCH2CH2OC(O)CMe2Br] initiator or with Al(Oi‐Pr)3 as an additive. Multi‐angle laser light scattering analysis showed that the star polymers had arm numbers of 10–100, radii of gyration of 6–23 nm, and weight‐average molecular weights of 1.3 × 105 to 3.0 × 106, which could be controlled by the molar ratio of the linking agent to the linear living polymers. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report the preparation of N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐stabilized compounds containing P=B double bonds. The reaction of the highly functionalized phosphinoborane Mes*(SiMe3)P?B(Cl)Cp* with Lewis bases allows access to base‐stabilized phosphinidene boranes Mes*P=B(L)Cp* (L=4‐dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), NHC) by Me3SiCl elimination. The formation of these species is shown to proceed through transient borylphosphide anions generated by Me3Si abstraction.  相似文献

Reported here is the chelate effect as a design principle for tuning heterogeneous catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction. Palladium functionalized with a chelating tris‐N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand (Pd‐timtmbMe) exhibits a 32‐fold increase in activity for electrochemical reduction of CO2 to C1 products with high Faradaic efficiency (FEC1=86 %) compared to the parent unfunctionalized Pd foil (FE=23 %), and with sustained activity relative to a monodentate NHC‐ligated Pd electrode (Pd‐mimtmbMe). The results highlight the contributions of the chelate effect for tailoring and maintaining reactivity at molecular‐materials interfaces enabled by surface organometallic chemistry.  相似文献

In sharp contrast to the gold‐catalyzed reactions of alkynes/allenes with nucleophiles, gold‐catalyzed oxidative cross‐couplings and especially C? H/C? H cross‐coupling have been under represented. By taking advantage of the unique redox property and carbophilic π acidity of gold, this work realizes the first gold‐catalyzed direct C(sp3)? H alkynylation of 1,3‐dicarbonyl compounds with terminal alkynes under mild reaction conditions, with subsequent cyclization and in situ oxidative alkynylation. A variety of terminal alkynes including aryl, heteroaryl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkyl, and cyclopropyl alkynes all successfully participate in the domino reaction. The protocol offers a simple and region‐defined approach to 3‐alkynyl polysubstituted furans.  相似文献

Although 2‐imino‐1H‐imidazol‐5(2H)‐ones have important biological activities in metabolism, their synthesis has rarely been investigated. Quinoxalines as “privileged scaffolds” in medicinal chemistry have been extensively investigated, but the development of novel and efficient synthetic methods remains very attractive. Herein, we have developed two copper‐catalyzed domino reactions for the synthesis of 2‐imino‐1H‐imidazol‐5(2H)‐ones and quinoxalines involving C?C bond‐cleavage with a 1,3‐dicarbonyl unit as a leaving group. The domino sequence for the synthesis of 2‐imino‐1H‐imidazol‐5(2H)‐ones includes aza‐Michael addition, intramolecular cyclization, C?C bond‐cleavage, 1,2‐rearrangement, and aerobic dehydrogenation reaction, whereas the domino sequence for the synthesis of quinoxalines includes aza‐Michael addition, intramolecular cyclization, elimination reaction, and C?C bond‐cleavage reaction. The two domino reactions have significant advantages including high efficiency, mild reaction conditions, and high tolerance of various functional groups.  相似文献

A series of novel benzimidazolium bromides containing bulky 3,5‐di‐tert ‐butyl group were synthesized in high yields as N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands. These NHC ligands were metallated with Ag2O under moderate conditions to give novel silver–NHC complexes. The structures of all compounds were characterized using 1H NMR, 13CNMR, infrared and elemental analysis techniques, which supported the proposed structures. The silver–NHC complexes were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against the standard bacterial strains Enterococcus faecalis , Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the fungal strains Candida albicans and C. tropicalis . The results showed that most of the silver–NHC complexes inhibited the growth of all bacterial strains and fungal strains and were found to display effective antimicrobial activity against different microorganisms.  相似文献

Vinyl polymerized norbornene has some useful properties such as good mechanical strength, optical transparency and heat resistance. Several transition metal complexes have been described in the literature as active catalysts for the vinyl polymerization of norbornene. We now report the use of three types of nickel(II) complexes with N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands in the catalytic vinyl polymerization of norbornene under a range of conditions. Specifically, two nickel complexes bearing a chelating bis(NHC) ligand, two nickel complexes bearing two chelating anionic N‐donor functionalized NHC ligands as well as one diiodidonickel(II) complex with two monodentate NHC ligands were tested. The solid‐state structure of bis(1,3‐dimethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene)diiodidonickel(II), as determined by X‐ray crystallography, is presented. The highest polymerization activity of 2.6 × 107 g (mol cat)?1 h?1 was observed using the latter nickel complex as catalyst, activated by methylaluminoxane. The norbornene polymers thus obtained are of high molecular weight but with rather low polydispersity. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Azaborolyl anions, the five‐membered BN heterocycles, have attracted a considerable attention due to their aromaticity and isoelectronic relationship with ubiquitous cyclopentadienyl ligands. Besides their syntheses and applications in the preparation of metal complexes, the other aspects of their chemistry have been virtually unexplored. Reduction of the azabutadienyl chelate boron dichloride [ArN?C(R)CH?C(R)]BCl2 ( 2 , Ar=2,6‐Me2C6H3, R=tBu) with two equivalents of potassium yielded the novel 2‐chloro‐azaborolyl anion [ArNC(R)CHC(R)BCl]K(thf) ( 3 ) as a stable product in good yield. Reaction of 3 with 1,3,4,5‐tetramethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene (NHC) yielded the first NHC–azaborole adduct with the elimination of KCl. The salt elimination reaction was also observed in the reactions with H2O and the organic azide ArN3, leading to the formation of an oxo‐bridged 3H‐1,2‐diazaborole and an intramolecular donor‐stabilized iminoborane, demonstrating that 3 is a source of the unexplored 1,2‐azaborole isosteric to cyclopentadienylidene.  相似文献

Multicomponent reactions are attractive for assembling functionalized heterocyclic compounds. To this end, an efficient gold‐catalyzed three‐component domino reaction to form oxazoles directly from imines, alkynes, and acid chlorides is presented. The reaction proceeds in a single synthetic step by using a gold(III)–N,N′‐ethylenebis(salicylimine) (salen) catalyst to give trisubstituted oxazoles in up to 96 % yield. The substrate scope, a mechanistic study exploring the role of the gold catalyst, and the synthetic applications of the oxazole products are discussed.  相似文献

Reaction of the pentamethylcyclopentadienyl rhodium iodide dimer [Cp*RhI2]2 with 1,1′‐diphenyl‐3,3′‐methylenediimidazolium diiodide in non‐alcohol solvents, in the presence of base, led to the formation of bis‐carbene complex [Cp*Rh(bis‐NHC)I]I (bis‐NHC=1,1′‐diphenyl‐4,4′‐methylenediimidazoline‐5,5′‐diylidene). In contrast, when employing alcohols as the solvent in the same reaction, cleavage of a methylene C?N bond is observed, affording ether‐functionalized (cyclometalated) carbene ligands coordinated to the metal center and the concomitant formation of complexes with a coordinated imidazole ligand. Studies employing other 1,1′‐diimidazolium salts indicate that the cyclometalation step is a prerequisite for the activation/scission of the C?N bond and, based on additional experimental data, a SN2 mechanism for the reaction is tentatively proposed.  相似文献

3(2H)‐Furanones are efficiently generated from 3‐alkynyl oxireno[2,3‐b]chromenones by an Au/DDQ‐catalyzed domino reaction through a pathway composed of cyclization, C? C cleavage, nucleophilic addition, oxidation, and nucleophilic addition. It was found that stoichiometric AuCl3 or catalytic Au with stoichiometric DDQ can oxidize the benzylic sp3 C? H bond to facilitate nucleophilic addition.  相似文献

Photoactive platinum complexes of stoichiometry [Pt(RCCCR)L]0/+ (R=Me, nBu and L=? CN, ? C≡CPh, ? N≡CCH3, ? Py, ? CO) featuring pincer‐type bis N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands (RCCCR) were synthesized. Organometallic syntheses of these complexes are facile and achievable through standard laboratory procedures. Control of intermolecular Pt???Pt interaction, π–π stacking, and emission tuning is achieved through suitable choice of the NHC‐wingtip substituent (R) and the auxiliary ligand (L). Exposure to specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or mechanical grinding triggers changes in emission colors, which render these complexes photofunctional. Solid‐state structures and photoluminescence results are described herein.  相似文献
