Cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) CsPbX3 (X=Cl, Br, and I) have been prominent materials in the last few years due to their high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) for light-emitting diodes and other significant applications in photovoltaics and optoelectronics. In colloidal CsPbX3 synthesis, the most commonly used ligands are oleic acid and oleylamine. The latter plays an important role in surface passivation but may also be responsible for poor colloidal stability as a result of facile proton exchange leading to the formation of labile oleylammonium halide, which pulls halide ions out of the NC surface. Herein, a facile, efficient, completely amine-free synthesis of cesium lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals using hydrobromic acid as halide source and tri-n-octylphosphane as ligand under open-atmospheric conditions is demonstrated. Hydrobromic acid serves as labile source of bromide ion, and thus this three-precursor approach (separate precursors for Cs, Pb, Br) gives more control than a conventional single-source precursor for Pb and Br (PbBr2). The use of HBr paved the way to eliminate oleylamine, and thus the formation of labile oleylammonium halide can be completely excluded. Various Cs:Pb:Br molar ratios were studied and optimum conditions for making very stable CsPbBr3 NCs with high PLQY were found. These completely amine-free CsPbBr3 perovskite NCs synthesized under bromine-rich conditions exhibit good stability and durability for more than three months in the form of colloidal solutions and films, respectively. Furthermore, stable tunable emission across a wide spectral range through anion exchange was demonstrated. More importantly, this work reports open-atmosphere-stable CsPbBr3 NCs films exhibiting strong PL, which can be further used for optoelectronic device applications.  相似文献

The elaborate regulation of heterostructure interface to accelerate the interfacial charge separation is one of practicable approaches to improve the photocatalytic CO2 reduction performance of halide perovskite (HP) materials. Herein, we report an in-situ growth strategy for the construction of 2D CsPbBr3 based heterostructure with perovskite oxide (SrTiO3) nanosheet as substrate (CsPbBr3/SrTiO3). Lattice matching and matchable energy band structures between CsPbBr3 and SrTiO3 endow CsPbBr3/SrTiO3 heterostructure with an efficient interfacial charge separation. Moreover, the interfacial charge transfer rate can be further accelerated by etching SrTiO3 with NH4F to form flat surface capped with Ti?O bonds. The resultant 2D/2D T-SrTiO3/CsPbBr3 heterostructure exhibits an impressive photocatalytic activity for CO2 conversion with a CO yield of 120.2 ± 4.9 μmol g?1 h?1 at the light intensity of 100 mW/cm2 and water as electron source, which is about 10 and 7 times higher than those of the pristine SrTiO3 and CsPbBr3 nanosheets, surpassing the reported halide perovskite-based photocatalysts under the same conditions.  相似文献

Triplet energy transfer from inorganic nanocrystals to molecular acceptors has attracted strong attention for high‐efficiency photon upconversion. Here we study this problem using CsPbBr3 and CdSe nanocrystals as triplet donors and carboxylated anthracene isomers as acceptors. We find that the position of the carboxyl anchoring group on the molecule dictates the donor‐acceptor coupling to be either through‐bond or through‐space, while the relative strength of the two coupling pathways is controlled by the wavefunction leakage of nanocrystals that can be quantitatively tuned by nanocrystal sizes or shell thicknesses. By simultaneously engineering molecular geometry and nanocrystal wavefunction, energy transfer and photon upconversion efficiencies of a nanocrystal/molecule system can be improved by orders of magnitude.  相似文献

The all‐inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite solar cell (PSC) is a promising solution to balance the high efficiency and poor stability of state‐of‐the‐art organic–inorganic PSCs. Setting inorganic hole‐transporting layers at the perovskite/electrode interface decreases charge carrier recombination without sacrificing superiority in air. Now, M‐substituted, p‐type inorganic Cu(Cr,M)O2 (M=Ba2+, Ca2+, or Ni2+) nanocrystals with enhanced hole‐transporting characteristics by increasing interstitial oxygen effectively extract holes from perovskite. The all‐inorganic CsPbBr3 PSC with a device structure of FTO/c‐TiO2/m‐TiO2/CsPbBr3/Cu(Cr,M)O2/carbon achieves an efficiency up to 10.18 % and it increases to 10.79 % by doping Sm3+ ions into perovskite halide, which is much higher than 7.39 % for the hole‐free device. The unencapsulated Cu(Cr,Ba)O2‐based PSC presents a remarkable stability in air in either 80 % humidity over 60 days or 80 °C conditions over 40 days or light illumination for 7 days.  相似文献

The past decade has witnessed the increasing interest in cesium lead halide perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) for their excellent optical properties with higher photoluminescence efficiency and tunable emission wavelengths widely applied in white LED, photovoltaic devices, etc. Here we report the preparation of CsPbBr3 PQDs by a facile anti-solvent method using conventional quaternary ammonium bromide (CTAB) as a double modifier—both proper alkyl group protection and bromine source donator. The as-formed PQDs are well-monodispersed cubes with a size of 10–15 nm and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of up to 43 %. To enhance the stability of PQDs, CsPbBr3@PS microspheres were formed by electrospraying process. The microspheres not only show excellent luminous properties, but exhibit much higher stability against air and UV light irradiation due to the super hydrophobic property of polystyrene.  相似文献

In the literature, lead halide perovskites are very notable for their degradation in the presence of polar solvents, such as water. In contrast, in this research, it is observed that adding a minor amount of water into the precursor solution can improve the stability and photoluminescence quantum yield of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals through a ligand-assisted reprecipitation (LARP) method. In this way, the shape and phase transformation from CsPbBr3 nanoplates to CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 nanorods and Cs4PbBr6 nanowires can be controlled with increasing water content in the precursor solution. Upon adding water up to an ideal amount, CsPbBr3 maintains its phase and nanoplate morphology. The key role of water amount for tuning the crystallinity, stability, morphology, optical properties, and phase transformation of cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals will be beneficial in the future commercialization of optoelectronics.  相似文献

The instability of cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3) nanocrystals (NCs) in polar solvents has hampered their use in photocatalysis. We have now succeeded in synthesizing CsPbBr3–CdS heterostructures with improved stability and photocatalytic performance. While the CdS deposition provides solvent stability, the parent CsPbBr3 in the heterostructure harvests photons to generate charge carriers. This heterostructure exhibits longer emission lifetime (τave = 47 ns) than pristine CsPbBr3 (τave = 7 ns), indicating passivation of surface defects. We employed ethyl viologen (EV2+) as a probe molecule to elucidate excited state interactions and interfacial electron transfer of CsPbBr3–CdS NCs in toluene/ethanol mixed solvent. The electron transfer rate constant as obtained from transient absorption spectroscopy was 9.5 × 1010 s−1 and the quantum efficiency of ethyl viologen reduction (ΦEV+˙) was found to be 8.4% under visible light excitation. The Fermi level equilibration between CsPbBr3–CdS and EV2+/EV+˙ redox couple has allowed us to estimate the apparent conduction band energy of the heterostructure as −0.365 V vs. NHE. The insights into effective utilization of perovskite nanocrystals built around a quasi-type II heterostructures pave the way towards effective utilization in photocatalytic reduction and oxidation processes.

Lead halide perovskites nanocrystals have emerged as a leading candidate in perovskite solar cells and light-emitting diodes. Given their favorable, tunable optoelectronic properties through modifying the size of nanocrystals, it is imperative to understand and control the growth of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals. However, during the nanocrystal growth into bulk films, the effect of halide bonding on growth kinetics remains elusive. To understand how a chemical bonding of Pb−X (covalency and ionicity) impact on growth of nanocrystals, we have examined two different halide perovskite nanocrystals of CsPbCl3 (more ionic) and CsPbI3 (more covalent) derived from the same parent CsPbBr3 nanocrystals. Tracking the growth of nanocrystals by monitoring the spectral features of bulk peaks (at 445 nm for Cl and at 650 nm for I) enables us to determine the growth activation energy to be 92 kJ/mol (for CsPbCl3) versus 71 kJ/mol (for CsPbI3). The electronegativity of halides in Pb−X bonds governs the bond strength (150–240 kJ/mol), characteristics of bonding (ionic versus covalent), and growth kinetics and resulting activation energies. A fundamental understanding of Pb−X bonding provides a significant insight into controlling the size of the perovskite nanocrystals with more desired optoelectronic properties.  相似文献

Cesium‐based perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have outstanding photophysical properties improving the performances of lighting devices. Fundamental studies on excitonic properties and hot‐carrier dynamics in perovskite NCs further suggest that these materials show higher efficiencies compared to the bulk form of perovskites. However, the relaxation rates and pathways of hot‐carriers are still being elucidated. By using ultrafast transient spectroscopy and calculating electronic band structures, we investigated the dependence of halide in Cs‐based perovskite (CsPbX3 with X=Br, I, or their mixtures) NCs on the hot‐carrier relaxation processes. All samples exhibit ultrafast (<0.6 ps) hot‐carrier relaxation dynamics with following order: CsPbBr3 (310 fs)>CsPbBr1.5I1.5 (380 fs)>CsPbI3 NC (580 fs). These result accounts for a reduced light emission efficiency of CsPbI3 NC compared to CsPbBr3 NC.  相似文献

Cesium‐lead halide perovskites (e.g. CsPbBr3) have gained attention because of their rich physical properties, but their bulk ferroelectricity remains unexplored. Herein, by alloying flexible organic cations into the cubic CsPbBr3, we design the first cesium‐based two‐dimensional (2D) perovskite ferroelectric material with both inorganic alkali metal and organic cations, (C4H9NH3)2CsPb2Br7 ( 1 ). Strikingly, 1 shows a high Curie temperature (Tc=412 K) above that of BaTiO3 (ca. 393 K) and notable spontaneous polarization (ca. 4.2 μC cm?2), triggered by not only the ordering of organic cations but also atomic displacement of inorganic Cs+ ions. To our knowledge, such a 2D bilayered Cs+‐based metal–halide perovskite ferroelectric material with inorganic and organic cations is unprecedented. 1 also shows photoelectric semiconducting behavior with large “on/off” ratios of photoconductivity (>103).  相似文献

The performance of perovskite solar cells is strongly influenced by the composition and microstructure of the perovskite. A recent approach to improve the power conversion efficiencies utilized mixed‐halide perovskites, but the halide ions and their roles were not directly studied. Unraveling their precise location in the perovskite layer is of paramount importance. Here, we investigated four different perovskites by using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and found that among the three studied mixed‐halide perovskites, CH3NH3Pb(I0.74Br0.26)3 and CH3NH3PbBr3?xClx show peaks that unambiguously demonstrate the presence of iodide and bromide in the former, and bromide and chloride in the latter. The CH3NH3PbI3?xClx perovskite shows anomalous behavior, the iodide content far outweighs that of the chloride; a small proportion of chloride, in all likelihood, resides deep within the TiO2/absorber layer. Our study reveals that there are many distinguishable structural differences between these perovskites, and that these directly impact the photovoltaic performances.  相似文献

Interest has been growing in defects of halide perovskites in view of their intimate connection with key material optoelectronic properties. In perovskite quantum dots (PQDs), the influence of defects is even more apparent than in their bulk counterparts. By combining experiment and theory, we report herein a halide‐vacancy‐driven, ligand‐directed self‐assembly process of CsPbBr3 PQDs. With the assistance of oleic acid and didodecyldimethylammonium sulfide, surface‐Br‐vacancy‐rich CsPbBr3 PQDs self‐assemble into nanowires (NWs) that are 20–60 nm in width and several millimeters in length. The NWs exhibit a sharp photoluminescence profile (≈18 nm full‐width at‐half‐maximum) that peaks at 525 nm. Our findings provide insight into the defect‐correlated dynamics of PQDs and defect‐assisted fabrication of perovskite materials and devices.  相似文献

Traditional CdSe‐based colloidal quantum dots (cQDs) have interesting photoluminescence (PL) properties. Herein we highlight the advantages in both ensemble and single‐nanocrystal PL of colloidal CsPbBr3 nanocrystals (NCs) over the traditional cQDs. An ensemble of colloidal CsPbBr3 NCs (11 nm) exhibits ca. 90 % PL quantum yield with narrow (FWHM=86 meV) spectral width. Interestingly, the spectral width of a single‐NC and an ensemble are almost identical, ruling out the problem of size‐distribution in PL broadening. Eliminating this problem leads to a negligible influence of self‐absorption and Förster resonance energy transfer, along with batch‐to‐batch reproducibility of NCs exhibiting PL peaks within ±1 nm. Also, PL peak positions do not alter with measurement temperature in the range of 25 to 100 °C. Importantly, CsPbBr3 NCs exhibit suppressed PL blinking with ca. 90 % of the individual NCs remain mostly emissive (on‐time >85 %), without much influence of excitation power.  相似文献

Perovskite lattice distortion induced by residual tensile strain from the thermal expansion mismatch between the electron-transporting layer (ETL) and perovskite film causes a sluggish charge extraction and transfer dynamics in all-inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs) because of their higher crystallization temperatures and thermal expansion coefficients. Herein, the interfacial strain is released by fabricating a WS2/CsPbBr3 van der Waals heterostructure owing to their matched crystal lattice structure and the atomically smooth dangling bond-free surface to act as a lubricant between ETL and CsPbBr3 perovskite. Arising from the strain-released interface and condensed perovskite lattice, the best device achieves an efficiency of 10.65 % with an ultrahigh open-circuit voltage of 1.70 V and significantly improved stability under persistent light irradiation and humidity (80 %) attack over 120 days.  相似文献

The development of synthetic routes to access stable, ultra-small (i.e. <5 nm) lead halide perovskite (LHP) quantum dots (QDs) is of fundamental and technological interest. The considerable challenges include the high solubility of the ionic LHPs in polar solvents and aggregation to form larger particles. Here, we demonstrate a simple and effective host–guest strategy for preparing ultra-small lead bromide perovskite QDs through the use of nano-sized MOFs that function as nucleating and host sites. Cr3O(OH)(H2O)2(terephthalate)3 (Cr-MIL-101), made of large mesopore-sized pseudo-spherical cages, allows fast and efficient diffusion of perovskite precursors within its pores, and promotes the formation of stable, ∼3 nm-wide lead bromide perovskite QDs. CsPbBr3, MAPbBr3 (MA+ = methylammonium), and (FA)PbBr3 (FA+ = formamidinium) QDs exhibit significantly blue-shifted emission maxima at 440 nm, 446 nm, and 450 nm, respectively, as expected for strongly confined perovskite QDs. Optical characterization and composite modelling confirm that the APbBr3 (A = Cs, MA, FA) QDs owe their stability within the MIL-101 nanocrystals to both short- and long-range interfacial interactions with the MOF pore walls.

A comprehensive study unveiling the impact of heterovalent doping with Bi3+ on the structural, semiconductive, and photoluminescent properties of a single crystal of lead halide perovskites (CH3NH3PbBr3) is presented. As indicated by single-crystal XRD, a perfect cubic structure in Bi3+-doped CH3NH3PbBr3 crystals is maintained in association with a slight lattice contraction. Time-resolved and power-dependent photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy illustrates a progressively quenched PL of visible emission, alongside the appearance of a new PL signal in the near-infrared (NIR) regime, which is likely to be due to energy transfer to the Bi sites. These optical characteristics indicate the role of Bi3+ dopants as nonradiative recombination centers, which explains the observed transition from bimolecular recombination in pristine CH3NH3PbBr3 to a dominant trap-assisted monomolecular recombination with Bi3+ doping. Electrically, it is found that the mobility in pristine perovskite crystals can be boosted with a low Bi3+ concentration, which may be related to a trap-filling mechanism. Aided by temperature (T)-dependent measurements, two temperature regimes are observed in association with different activation energies (Ea) for electrical conductivity. The reduction of Ea at lower T may be ascribed to suppression of ionic conduction induced by doping. The modified electrical properties and NIR emission with the control of Bi3+ concentration shed light on the opportunity to apply heterovalent doping of perovskite single crystals for NIR optoelectronic applications.  相似文献

The colloidal synthesis and assembly of semiconductor nanowires continues to attract a great deal of interest. Herein, we describe the single‐step ligand‐mediated synthesis of single‐crystalline CsPbBr3 perovskite nanowires (NWs) directly from the precursor powders. Studies of the reaction process and the morphological evolution revealed that the initially formed CsPbBr3 nanocubes are transformed into NWs through an oriented‐attachment mechanism. The optical properties of the NWs can be tuned across the entire visible range by varying the halide (Cl, Br, and I) composition through subsequent halide ion exchange. Single‐particle studies showed that these NWs exhibit strongly polarized emission with a polarization anisotropy of 0.36. More importantly, the NWs can self‐assemble in a quasi‐oriented fashion at an air/liquid interface. This process should also be easily applicable to perovskite nanocrystals of different morphologies for their integration into nanoscale optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

Metal halide perovskites have demonstrated impressive properties for achieving efficient monochromatic light-emitting diodes. However, the development of white perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) remains a big challenge. Here, we demonstrate a single-emissive-layer all-perovskite white PeLED using a mixed halide perovskite film as the emissive layer. The perovskite film consists of separated mixed halide perovskite phases with blue and red emissions, which are beneficial for suppressing halide anion exchange and preventing charge transfer. As a result, the white PeLED shows balanced white light emission with Commission Internationale de L''Eclairage coordinates of (0.33, 0.33). In addition, we find that the achievement of white light emission from mixed halide perovskites strongly depends on effective modulation of the halide salt precursors, especially lead bromide and benzamidine hydrochloride in our case. Our work provides very useful guidelines for realizing single-emissive-layer all-perovskite white PeLEDs based on mixed halide perovskites, which will spur the development of high-performance white PeLEDs.

Halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have great potential in photocatalytic applications if their low charge transportation efficiency and chemical instability can be overcome. To circumvent these obstacles, we anchored CsPbBr3 QDs (CPB) on NHx‐rich porous g‐C3N4 nanosheets (PCN) to construct the composite photocatalysts via N?Br chemical bonding. The 20 CPB‐PCN (20 wt % of QDs) photocatalyst exhibits good stability and an outstanding yield of 149 μmol h?1 g?1 in acetonitrile/water for photocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO under visible light irradiation, which is around 15 times higher than that of CsPbBr3 QDs. This study opens up new possibilities of using halide perovskite QDs for photocatalytic application.  相似文献

We describe the simple, scalable, single‐step, and polar‐solvent‐free synthesis of high‐quality colloidal CsPbX3 (X=Cl, Br, and I) perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) with tunable halide ion composition and thickness by direct ultrasonication of the corresponding precursor solutions in the presence of organic capping molecules. High angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF‐STEM) revealed the cubic crystal structure and surface termination of the NCs with atomic resolution. The NCs exhibit high photoluminescence quantum yields, narrow emission line widths, and considerable air stability. Furthermore, we investigated the quantum size effects in CsPbBr3 and CsPbI3 nanoplatelets by tuning their thickness down to only three to six monolayers. The high quality of the prepared NCs (CsPbBr3) was confirmed by amplified spontaneous emission with low thresholds. The versatility of this synthesis approach was demonstrated by synthesizing different perovskite NCs.  相似文献
