This paper addresses the problem of estimating the lower atmospheric refractivity (M profile) under nonstandard propagation conditions frequently encountered in low altitude maritime radar applications. The vertical structure of the refractive environment is modeled using five parameters and the horizontal structure is modeled using five parameters. The refractivity model is implemented with and without a priori constraint on the duct strength as might be derived from soundings or numerical weather-prediction models. An electromagnetic propagation model maps the refractivity structure into a replica field. Replica fields are compared with the observed clutter using a squared-error objective function. A global search for the 10 environmental parameters is performed using genetic algorithms. The inversion algorithm is implemented on the basis of S-band radar sea-clutter data from Wallops Island, Virginia (SPANDAR). Reference data are from range-dependent refractivity profiles obtained with a helicopter. The inversion is assessed (ⅰ) by comparing the propagation predicted from the radar-inferred refractivity profiles with that from the helicopter profiles, (ⅱ) by comparing the refractivity parameters from the helicopter soundings with those estimated. This technique could provide near-real-time estimation of ducting effects.  相似文献

With the rapid development of the fifth-generation(5 G)mobile communication technology,the application of each frequency band has reached the extreme,causing mutual interference between different modules.Hence,there is a requirement for detecting filtering and preventing interference.In the troposphere,over-the-horizon propagation occurs in atmospheric ducts and turbulent media.The effects of both ducting and turbulence can increase the probability of occurrence of long-distance co-channel interference(CCI),in turn,severely affecting the key performance indicators such as system access,handover and drop.In the 5 G era,to ensure communication channels and information security,CCI must be reduced.This paper introduces a scattering parabolic equation algorithm for calculating signal propagation in atmospheric ducts on irregular terrain boundaries.It combines Hitney’s radio physical optical model and Wagner’s nonuniform turbulent scattering model for calculating the tropospheric scattering in an evaporation duct or a surface-based duct.The new model proposes a tropospheric scattering parabolic equation algorithm for various tropospheric duct environments.Finally,as a specific case,the topographical boundaries between several cities in the East China Plain were considered,and the over-the-horizon propagation loss was simulated for various ducting and turbulent environments.The simulation results were used to evaluate whether CCI would occur between cities in a specific environment.  相似文献

由于不同海域上空气象条件的不同, 海上蒸发波导在大尺度海面上空发生时通常是区域性非均匀的, 这一特性使得该环境中的电波传播特性相对于水平均匀的蒸发波导环境情况而明显不同, 因此, 进行区域性非均匀的蒸发波导探测反演对正确预测电波传播特性及提高雷达系统的工作性能具有重要的意义. 考虑到实际应用中蒸发波导信息获取手段的多样性, 将中尺度数值气象模式MM5预报的区域性蒸发波导修正折射率剖面作为先验信息, 提出了一种含该先验信息的区域性非均匀蒸发波导的雷达海杂波后验概率估计模型. 该模型使用主分量分析法对蒸发波导的水平非均匀性进行参数化建模, 然后通过贝叶斯理论将修正折射率剖面参数的先验概率分布、后验概率分布和似然函数联系起来, 利用雷达海杂波实现蒸发波导剖面参数的最大后验概率估计反演. 通过我国东海海域的实际区域性非均匀蒸发波导反演测试, 表明该模型能够以更高的精度实现区域性非均匀蒸发波导的反演.  相似文献

针对正则化方法在解决实际反演问题时既能克服问题的不适定性又可以很大程度上抑制噪声和误差的传播, 本文提出了利用遗传算法结合正则化方法的新算法, 在遗传算法适应度函数中引入正则化项来反演波导参数; 然后对算法进行仿真试验, 结果表明新算法与传统遗传算法相比具有较高的反演精度, 并指出当噪声误差小于10%时, 算法具有较强的“去噪”性能; 最后利用机载雷达在Wallops岛探测的海表面处局部回波资料进行反演试验, 将反演结果与实测大气折射率廓线进行比较, 说明该算法的有效性. 新方法为海洋大气波导反演研究提供了一种新思路.  相似文献

A global search for the three environmental parameters is performed using genetic algorithm. The inversion is assessed by comparing the refractivity profiles from the radiosondes to those estimated. This technique could provide near-real-time estimation of ducting effect. The results suggest that ground-based GPS provides significant atmospheric refractivity information, despite certain fundamental limitations of ground-based measurements. Radiosondes typically are launched just a few times daily. Consequently, estimates of temporally and spatially varying refractivity that assimilate GPS delays could substantially improve over-estimates using radiosonde data alone.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of estimating lower atmospheric refractivity under the nonstandard propagation conditions frequently encountered in low altitude maritime radar applications. The vertical structure of the refractive environment is modeled by using a five-parameter model, and the horizontal structure is modeled as range-independent. The electromagnetic propagation in the troposphere is simulated by using a split-step fast Fourier transform based on parabolic approximation to the wave equation. A global search marked as a modified genetic algorithm (MGA) for the 5 environmental parameters is performed by using a genetic algorithm (GA) integrated with a simulated annealing technique. The retrieved results from simulated runs demonstrate the ability of this method to make atmospheric refractivity estimations. A comparison with the classical GA and the Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo (Bayesian-MCMC) technique shows that the MGA can not only shorten the inverse time but also improve the inverse precision. For real data cases, the inversion values do not match the reference data very well. The inverted profile, however, can be used to synoptically describe the real refractive structure.  相似文献

Atmospheric duct is a common phenomenon over large bodies of water, and it can significantly affect the performance of many radio systems. In this paper, a two-month(in July and August, 2014) sounding experiment in ducting conditions over Bosten Lake was carried out at a littoral station(41.89°N, 87.22°E) with high resolution GPS radiosondes, and atmospheric ducts were observed for the first time in this area. During the two months, surface and surface-based ducts occurred frequently over the Lake. Strong diurnal variations in ducting characteristics were noticed in clear days. Ducting occurrence was found at its lowest in the early morning and at its highest(nearly 100%) in the afternoon. Duct strength was found increasing from early morning to forenoon, and reaching its maximum in the afternoon. But contrarily, duct altitude experienced a decrease in a clear day. Then the meteorological reasons for the variations were discussed in detail, turbulent bursting was a possible reason for the duct formation in the early morning and the prevailing lake-breeze front was the main reason in the afternoon. The propagation of electromagnetic wave in a ducting environment was also investigated. A raytracing framework based on Runge–Kutta method was proposed to assess the performance of radio systems, and the precise critical angle and grazing angle derived from the ray-tracing equations were provided. Finally, numerical investigations on the radar performance in the observed ducting environments have been carried out with high accuracy, which demonstrated that atmospheric ducts had made great impacts on the performance of radio systems. The range/height errors for radar measurement induced by refraction have also been presented, too, which shows that the height errors were very large for trapped rays when the total range was long enough.  相似文献

The estimation of lower atmospheric refractivity from radar sea clutter(RFC) is a complicated nonlinear optimization problem.This paper deals with the RFC problem in a Bayesian framework.It uses the unbiased Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) sampling technique,which can provide accurate posterior probability distributions of the estimated refractivity parameters by using an electromagnetic split-step fast Fourier transform terrain parabolic equation propagation model within a Bayesian inversion framework.In contrast to the global optimization algorithm,the Bayesian-MCMC can obtain not only the approximate solutions,but also the probability distributions of the solutions,that is,uncertainty analyses of solutions.The Bayesian-MCMC algorithm is implemented on the simulation radar sea-clutter data and the real radar seaclutter data.Reference data are assumed to be simulation data and refractivity profiles are obtained using a helicopter.The inversion algorithm is assessed(i) by comparing the estimated refractivity profiles from the assumed simulation and the helicopter sounding data;(ii) the one-dimensional(1D) and two-dimensional(2D) posterior probability distribution of solutions.  相似文献

采用文氏谱模型描述近海海洋动力环境海面的粗糙特征, 并运用海浪谱理论得到风速和均方根高度偏差的关系. 进而应用修正的离散混合傅里叶变换方法和改进的雷达散射系数模型分别计算了电磁波传输损耗和雷达散射系数. 在此基础上, 通过数值计算分析了风浪因素对海洋波导环境雷达回波功率值的影响. 结果表明, 风浪因素对不同观测高度处的传输损耗的影响均不大; 风浪因素对雷达回波功率有显著影响, 并且相对于传输损耗, 雷达散射系数项受风浪因素影响较大因而导致较大的雷达回波功率的变化.  相似文献

Simulated annealing is one of the robust optimization schemes. Simulated annealing mimics the annealing process of the slow cooling of a heated metal to reach a stable minimum energy state. In this paper, we adopt simulated annealing to study the problem of the remote sensing of atmospheric duct parameters for two different geometries of propagation measurement. One is from a single emitter to an array of radio receivers (vertical measurements), and the other is from the radar clutter returns (horizontal measurements). Basic principles of simulated annealing and its applications to refractivity estimation are introduced. The performance of this method is validated using numerical experiments and field measurements collected at the East China Sea. The retrieved results demonstrate the feasibility of simulated annealing for near real-time atmospheric refractivity estimation. For comparison, the retrievals of the genetic algorithm are also presented. The comparisons indicate that the convergence speed of simulated annealing is faster than that of the genetic algorithm, while the anti-noise ability of the genetic algorithm is better than that of simulated annealing.  相似文献

受海面强风和海-气相互作用影响,表面声道普遍存在于冬季海洋环境中,是一种天然有利于声传播的波导.但是海面波浪使得海表形成粗糙界面,会严重破坏这种优良性能.本文利用南海北部海区的一次冬季声传播实验数据,研究表面声道声传播特性.研究表明,海底底质对表面声道内声传播的影响较弱,当海面风较小时,涌浪造成的影响为主要原因.实验数据显示,考虑涌浪后的粗糙海面给70km远处带来了10dB的传播损失增长.因此在考察南海北部海区冬季声场特性时,不仅要考虑海面风浪的影响,更需要考虑周围海域传来的涌浪的影响.研究涌浪存在时的声传播特性对提升声纳设备在海况较差时的使用性能具有重要意义.  相似文献

利用垂直天线阵观测得到的电磁场信息建立目标泛函,从电磁波抛物方程传播模式出发,利用偏微分方程最优控制中的伴随方法研究大气折射率廓线反演问题. 针对反演的不适定性,采用正则化思想对目标泛函进行改造,并根据变分同化思想构建反演迭代格式. 数值模拟试验验证了理论算法的可行性. 由于采用分步Fourier算法求解电磁波抛物方程传播模式和伴随模式过程中产生的固有误差随着传播距离的增加累积增大,反演廓线在传播距离较远时不能收敛于观测廓线. 在这种情况下,引入较好的初猜廓线和背景场可以有效地改进反演结果. 关键词: 大气折射率 电磁波抛物方程 变分伴随 正则化  相似文献

为了改善雷达回波反演大气波导(RFC)方面存在的单时次、单方位角反演的问题,提出利用扩展卡尔曼滤波和不敏卡尔曼滤波的反演算法对大气波导结构的多方位角实时跟踪反演. 在卡尔曼滤波方法中分别给出大气波导结构的参数化方程、观测方程、滤波算法的状态转移方程,最后导出滤波反演算法的迭代求解流程. 在大气波导结构不随时间变化和随时间变化的两种条件下,对扩展卡尔曼滤波和不敏卡尔曼滤波算法进行数值实验. 实验结果表明,不敏卡尔曼滤波更适用于RFC这高度非线性反演问题,它可能今后为大气波导结构多方位角实时跟踪反演的业务化运行提供理论基础与技术保证. 关键词: 大气波导 雷达回波 扩展卡尔曼滤波 不敏卡尔曼滤波  相似文献

The dispersion equation for the axisymmetric modes of viscothermal acoustic wave propagation in uniform hard-walled circular ducts containing a quiescent perfect gas is classical. This has been extended to cover the non-axisymmetric modes and real fluids in contemporary studies. The fundamental axisymmetric mode has been the subject of a large number of studies proposing approximate solutions and the characteristics of the propagation constants for narrow and wide ducts with or without mean flow is well understood. In contrast, there are only few publications on the higher order modes and the current knowledge about their propagation characteristics is rather poor. On the other hand, there is a void of papers in the literature on the effect of the mean flow on the quiescent modes of propagation. The present paper aims to contribute to the filling of these gaps to some extent. The classical theory is re-considered with a view to cover all modes of acoustic propagation in circular ducts carrying a real fluid moving axially with a uniform subsonic velocity. The analysis reveals a new branch of propagation constants for the axisymmetric modes, which appears to have escaped attention hitherto. The solution of the governing wave equation is expressed in a modal transfer matrix form in frequency domain and numerical results are presented to show the effects over wide ranges of frequency, viscosity and mean flow parameters on the propagation constants. The theoretical formulation allows for the duct walls to have finite impedance, but no numerical results are presented for lined ducts or ducts carrying a sheared mean flow.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of polarization properties, scattering properties and propagation properties of global positioning system (GPS) scattering signal over the rough sea surface. To investigate the polarization and the scattering properties, the scattering field and the bistatic scattering coefficient of modified Kirchhoff approximation with using the tapered incident wave is derived in detail. In modeling the propagation properties of the GPS scattering signal in the evaporation duct, the initial field of parabolic equation traditionally computed by the antenna pattern with using fast Fourier transform (FFT) is replaced by the GPS scattering field. And the propagation properties of GPS scattering signal in the evaporation duct with different evaporation duct heights and elevation angles of GPS are discussed by the improved discrete mixed Fourier transform with taking into account the sea surface roughness.  相似文献

Extensive use of transfer matrices (TMs) is made in determining the acoustic properties of a duct and in in-duct acoustic propagation models in the automotive industry and for musical acoustics purposes. The experimental apparatuses of classical TM measurement methods feature two measurement heads. Two microphones are flush with the walls of each head. The pressure signals are processed following the transfer function method constructed on an analytical model of acoustic propagation in measurement heads. The present paper aims at presenting a measurement method based on a three-microphone experimental apparatus and on its acoustic calibration through two reference measurements: the three-measurement two-calibration method for measuring the TM (3M2C-TM). Two microphones are flush with the measurement head walls and one is in the cap closing one side of the measured duct. 3M2C-TM proved essential for an accurate measurement of the four TM elements of two different ducts: a cylindrical duct and an expansion chamber.  相似文献

本文对声波在空腔非局域反应声衬管道内的传播进行了研究。特征方程通过声衬内和管道内两部分声场的耦合求解得到,并采用积分方法对特征方程积分求解,通过模态匹配的方法建立并求解了有限长管道非局域反应声衬的声辐射数值模型,展示了在管道消声主动控制方面的应用潜力。  相似文献
