Ab initio calculations have been performed to study on the molecular structures and the vibrational levels of the low-lying ionic states (2B2u,2Ag,2B2g,2B3u,2Au,2B1g,2B1u, and2B3g) of tetrafluoroethylene. The equilibrium molecular structures and vibrational modes of these states are presented. The theoretical ionization intensity curves including the vibrational structures of the low-lying eight ionic states are also presented and compared with the photoelectron spectrum. Some new assignments of the photoelectron spectra are proposed.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations have been performed to study the molecular structures and vibrational levels of the four low-lying ionic states (1, 22Π, and 1, 22Σ+) of carbonyl sulfide. The global regions of the potential-energy surfaces have been obtained by multireference single and double excitation configuration interaction calculations. Vibrational calculations using explicit vibrational Hamiltonians have been used for vibrational analysis. The equilibrium molecular structures and a vibrational analysis of the four ionic states are presented. The theoretical ionization intensity curves including the vibrational structures of the ionic states are also presented and are compared with the photoelectron spectrum. Ab initio calculations were performed to study the molecular structures and the vibrational levels of the low-lying ionic states (2B1, 2A1 and 2B2) of hydrogen sulphide. The equilibrium molecular structure and the vibrational analysis of these states are presented. The normal vibrational calculations at the RHF level and more extensive calculations at the SDCI level using the explicit vibrational Hamiltonians were used for the vibrational analysis. The theoretical ionization intensity curves including the vibrational structures of these ionic states are also presented and compared with the photoelectron spectrum. The results show that the global shape of the potential energy surface has to be taken into consideration in order to analyze the 2A1 and 2B2 states. A new assignment of the photoelectron spectra of H2S is proposed.  相似文献

Potential energy curves for the ground and low-lying excited states of the AH2+ (A = Mg—Ar) dications have been calculated using high-level ab initio methods with large atomic orbital basis sets. Quasi-bound potential energy curves with local minima and deprotonation barriers have been found for most of the dications studied. The energies, tunneling lifetimes, and widths of the quasi-bound states have been calculated by numerical solution of the radial Schrodinger equation using the Numeov method. All these dications except ArH2+ have low-lying states which support quasi-bound vibrational states. The ArH2+ dication has a 2i potential energy curve with a minimum so shallow that it does not support any quasi-bound vibrational states. Results of our calculations are compared with previous ab initio calculations and available experimental data. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The interaction between a Ni atom and a Cu atom in the configurations (3d)9(4s)1 and (3d)10(4s)1, respectively, has been calculated usingab initio Hartree-Fock and configuration interaction methods. The chemical bond between the two atoms is due to a bonding 4sσ molecular orbital. Equilibrium distances, dissociation energies and vibrational frequencies are predicted for the low-lying states. Finally the influence of spin-orbit coupling on the low-lying states is considered.  相似文献

The low-lying singlet and triplet states of H2CBe and HCBeH are examined using ab inito molecular orbital theory. In agreement with earlier results, the lowest-lying structure of H2CBe has C2v symmetry and is a triplet with one π electron (3 B1). The results presented here suggest that the lowest-energy singlet structure is the (1B1) open-shell singlet, also with C2v symmetry, at least 2.5 kcal/mol higher in energy. The singlet C2v structure with two π electrons (1A1) is 15.9 kcal/mol higher than 3B1. All of these structures are bound with respect to the ground state of methylene and the beryllium atom. In HCBeH, linear equilibrium geometries are found for the triplet (3Σ) and singlet (1Δ) states. The triplet is more stable than the singlet (1Δ) by 35.4 kcal/mol, and is only 2.9 kcal/mol higher in energy than triplet H2 CBe. Since the transition structure connecting these two triplet molecules is found to be 50.2 kcal/mol higher in energy than H2 CBe, both triplet equilibrium species might exist independently. The harmonic vibrational frequencies of all structures are also reported.  相似文献

An analysis of the electronic correlation structures by means of the charge and spin correlation functions is carried out for full CI wave functions of four, five, and six membered conjugated π systems described by the Pariser–Parr–Pople Hamiltonian. The low-lying states of these systems are classified as covalent (CV ) and ionic (IN ) states depending on whether the probability of finding two electrons simultaneously at the same position is small or large. It is found that many of excited CV states, the typical ones of which are the 21Ag state of linear π systems, have stronger CV character than the ground CV state, and their spin coupling structures are different from each other as well as from that of the ground CV state. The spin coupling structure in the ground CV state has an “antiferromagnetic” spin arrangement in favor of antiparallel coupling between nearest neighbor spins while in excited CV states the extent of the antiparallel spin coupling between nearest neighbor sites is decreased. IN states, which are less common for low-lying states than CV ones, are also found to have characteristic modulations in the charge correlation. In particular, the charge correlations in the lowest singlet IN states, 11Bu of linear π systems, 11B2g of cyclobutadiene and 11B1U of benzene, are alternating.  相似文献

The equilibrium geometries, excitation energies, force constants, and vibrational frequencies of the low-lying electronic states X2B1, 2A1, 2B2, and 2A2 of the PF2 radical have been calculated at the MRSDCI level with a double zeta plus polarization basis set. Our calculated geometry, force constants, and vibrational frequencies for the X2B1 state are in good agreement with experimental data. The electronic transition moments, oscillator strengths for the 2A1X2B1 and 2A2X2B1 transitions, and radiative lifetimes for the 2A1 and 2A2 states are calculated based on the MRSDCI wave functions. © 1994 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Summary The equilibrium geometries, excitation energies, force constants and vibrational frequencies for four low-lying electronic statesX 2 A 1,2 B 1,2 B 2 and2 A 2 of the CF 2 + ion have been calculated at the MRSDCI level with a double zeta plus polarization basis set. Our calculated excitation energies for these states and vibrational frequencies for the ground state are in good agreement with experimental data via photoelectron spectroscopy of the CF2 radical (carbene). The electronic transition dipole moments, oscillator strengths for the2 B 1 X 2 A 1 and2 B 2 X 2 A 1 transitions, radiative lifetimes for the2 B 1 and2 B 2 states and the spin properties for theX 2 A 1 state are calculated based on the MRSDCI wavefunctions.  相似文献

The results of the search for the à → X? radiative relaxation of haloethylene cations in the gaseous phase are reported. Only in the case of cis-1,2-difloroethylene cation was an emission spectrum detected. It is identified as the à 2A1 → X? 2B 1 band system on the basis of photoelectron spectroscopic measurements. An assignment of the emission bands yields the vibrational frequencies of four of the A1 fundamentals (under C2, symmetry) for the X? state and one for the à state. Well resolved Ne(I) photoelectron spectra of cis- and trans-1,2-difluoroethylene are presented, from which some vibrational frequencies for these cations in the X? and à states are also obtained. The lifetimes of cis-1,2-difluoroethylene cation in the lowest vibrational levels of the à 2A1 state have been measured. The decay of this cation is unusual as these levels are depleted both by, radiative, and pathways leading to fragment ions (C2HF+). The lack of detectable emissions with other fluoro-, chloro- and bromo-ethylene cations is discussed and the likely symmetries of the à states are proposed.  相似文献

Potential energy curves of low-lying electronic states of the CN2+ dication and of the electronic ground states of CN+ and the neutral CN molecule were calculated using internally contracted multireference CI and the coupled cluster RCCSD(T) methods. Spectroscopic constants and adiabatic excitation energies of 13 quasibound electronic states of the dication were obtained and the energy of charge stripping of CN+ and double ionization energy of CN were predicted. Tunneling and spin-orbit induced predissociation lifetimes for the vibrational levels in the low-lying electronic states are presented and the metastability of the dication is discussed.  相似文献

Potential energy curves for the low-lying electronic states of PdH have been calculated using the MRCI method with scalar relativistic and spin-orbit corrections, and all electronic states correlating to the 4d10 (1S), 4d9 5s1 (3D), 4d9 5s1 (1D) and 4d8 5s2 (3F) states of Pd were included. Potential energy curves for the individual Ω states have been obtained, and the experimentally observed spectra of both PdH and PdD isotopologues have been assigned appropriately based on the ab initio results. Einstein A coefficients were calculated for other possible transitions from the low-lying electronic states to the X2Σ+ ground state. Diagonal and off-diagonal matrix elements of the spin-orbit Hamiltonian were calculated for all vibrational levels of the X2Σ+, 12Δ, 12Π, 22Σ+ and 32Σ+ states, and it was found from the eigenvectors that the vibrational wavefunctions of the 12Δ3/2 and 12Π3/2 states are mixed significantly in both PdH and PdD isotopologues.  相似文献

Complete active space self-consistent-field (CASSCF) and multiconfigurational second-order perturbation theory (CASPT2) calculations in conjunction with the ANO-L basis set were performed to investigate systematically the low-lying electronic states of HNCS and its ions in C s symmetry. Our highly accurate calculation indicated that theoretically determined geometric parameters and harmonic vibrational frequencies for the ground-state X 1A′ are in good agreement with observed experimental data. The geometry of triplet HNCS is clearly favored C 1 symmetry, and the relative energy is predicted to be 3.000 eV (69.2 kcal/mol). The vertical transition energies for the selected excited states of HNCS were calculated at CASSCF/CASPT2/ANO-L level of theory based on CASSCF optimized geometry. Except for a few linear states of X 2Π (12A′, 12A″), 14Σ (14A″), and 12Σ+ (32A′) states of HNCS+, our results confirmed that the majority of excited states are twisted trans-bend structures. The existence of bound excited anion states has been found for the first time in HNCS. A more elaborate examination of ionization potential of HNCS (AIP, VIP) than previous reports has been presented.  相似文献

We calculated the equilibrium geometries and harmonic vibrational frequencies of the ground state and five cationic states of dichloroketene using (TD-)B3LYP, PBE0, and M06/M06-2X approaches. The photoelectron spectra of dichloroketene were simulated by computing Franck-Condon factors. The ionization energies were computed using the CCSD(T) approach with extrapolation to the complete basis set (CBS) limit. We propose two new CBS energy formulas (E = ECBS + Aexp(-x) + B/(x−1) n, n = 2 or 3) and compare the performance of different CBS approaches. A new ionic state of dichloroketene belonging to the Cs point group is reported. This state is identified as the first excited state of Cl2CCO+ having a double-well potential-energy curve along the CCO bending mode with a barrier height of 1.335 eV. The simulated photoelectron spectra are in agreement with the experiment. The vertical ionization energies calculated via spectral simulation are more accurate compared with those obtained at the ground-state structure. Among the CBS formulas used, the proposed ansatz with n = 2 performs best, with a mean absolute error of 0.021 and 0.012 eV for the adiabatic and vertical ionization energies, respectively.  相似文献

An ab initio analysis on the involved potential energy surfaces is presented for the investigation of the charge transfer mechanism for the He++N2 system. At high collision energy, as many as seven low-lying electronic states are observed to be involved in the charge transfer mechanism. Potential energy surfaces for these low-lying electronic states have been computed in the Jacobi scattering coordinates, applying multireference configuration interaction level of theory and aug-cc-pVQZ basis sets. Asymptotes for the ground and various excited states are assigned to mark the entrance (He++N2) and charge transfer channels (He+N2+). Nonadiabatic coupling matrix elements and quasi-diabatic potential energy surfaces have been computed for all seven states to rationalize the available experimental data on the charge transfer processes and to facilitate dynamics studies.  相似文献

We present two practical theoretical methods — the complex quasi-vibrational energy and the inhomogeneous differential equation approaches — for numerical computation of multiphoton dissociation cross sections. The methods are applied to the study of the two-photon dissociation of H2+ (1sσg). The cross sections are small for low-lying vibrational states but increase very rapidly with increasing vibrational quantum number, suggesting that experimentally accessible powerful lasers can be used to probe the highly excited vibrational states of the ground electronic state of a homonuclear diatomic molecule.  相似文献

Matrix isolation IR spectroscopy and quantum-chemical calculations were jointly used to identify the system of bands related to Ni3 clusters. The positions of two low-lying electronic states were determined, and vibrational frequencies and geometry in the ground and excited states were estimated. In all the calculated states, Ni3 had the structure of an isosceles triangle. In the X 3 B 2 ground and a 3 B 1 lower excited states, this was an acute-angled triangle. In the b 3 B 2 and c 3 B 1 excited states, the triangle was obtuse-angled.  相似文献

Absolute vibrational quantum numbers for the SO+ (A2Π—χ2Πr) emission system have been determined by measurement of isotope shifts between S16O+ and S18O+ bands. It has been found that the tentative ν″ values reported previously should be decreased by one vibrational quantum number, The definite molecular constants for the SO+ (A2Π,χ2Πr) states are determined and compared with photoelectron spectroscopic data.  相似文献
