The star HE 1305-0007 is a metal-poor double-enhanced star with metallicity [Fe/H] = -2.0, which is just at the upper limit of the metallicity for the observed double-enhanced stars. Using a parametric model, we find that almost all s-elements were made in a single neutron exposure. This star should be a member of a post-commonenvelope binary. After the s-process material has experienced only one neutron exposure in the nucleosynthesis region and is dredged-up to its envelope, the AGB evolution is terminated by the onset of common-envelope evolution. Based on the high radial-velocity of HE 1305-0007, we speculate that the star could be a runaway star from a binary system, in which the AIC event has occurred and produced the r-process elements.  相似文献

The atmospheres of planets (including Earth) and the outer layers of stars have often been treated in radiative transfer as plane-parallel media, instead of spherical shells, which can lead to inaccuracy, e.g. limb darkening. We give an exact solution of the radiative transfer specific intensity at all points and directions in a finite spherical medium having arbitrary radial spectral distribution of: source (temperature), absorption, emission and anisotropic scattering. The power and efficiency of the method stems from the spherical numerical gridding used to discretize the transfer equations prior to matrix solution: the wanted ray and the rays which scatter into it both have the same physico-geometric structure. Very good agreement is found with an isotropic astrophysical benchmark [Avrett EH, Loeser R. Methods in radiative transfer. In: Kalkofen W, editor. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press; 1984. pp. 341-79]. We introduce a specimen arbitrary forward- side-back phase scattering function for future comparisons. Our method directly and exactly addresses spherical symmetry with anisotropic scattering, and could be used to study the Earth's climate, nuclear power (neutron diffusion) and the astrophysics of stars and planets.  相似文献

From the gravitational structure equations of an anisotropic and spherically symmetric star in the presence of a cosmological constant, we derive the inequality which limits the mass-radius ratio, imposing energy conditions on the matter, From this inequality, we display how the cosmological constant modifies the Buchdahl limit, and express the bounds on both the mass-radius ratio and surface redshiR in terms of the ratio between the cosmological constant and mean energy density of the star.  相似文献

Mass of open duster NGC 7789 in the Galaxy is determined by three methods: the photometric method based on mass-luminosity relations of stars in the duster Mpho= 7712.5M⊙; the dynamical method based on virial theorem Mvir=6996.1M⊙; and the tidal radius method based on the interaction between the cluster and the Galaxy Mtid= 5152.5M⊙. The mean mass of this cluster is estimated to be Mc =6620.4 4- 762.5M⊙.  相似文献

We present here molecular dynamics (MD) simulation and integral equation (IE) studies on free energies of solvation of a non-polar solute in a dilute supercritical solvent to estimate the contribution of inhomogeneities in solvent density to the free energy of solvation. The solvation of a Xe-like solute in an Ne-like solvent as well as that of naphthalene in CO2 have been investigated. At state points in the compressible region in the neighborhood of the solvent critical point, we have utilized the IE estimates of free energies to model the ideal situation where local density inhomogeneities would be absent. The difference between the free energies in the presence (as derived from MD simulation) and in the absence (from IE) of local density inhomogeneities was studied as a function of density along an isotherm close to the critical point. Although for low density supercritical solvents, a marked difference is observed, a study of the density dependence of this difference across the critical density does not directly reveal any signature of local density enhancement on the thermodynamics of solvation.  相似文献

A uniform strong magnetic field is considered in calculating the properties of neutron star rotating at the Kepler frequency. The results show that the effect of the magnetic field on the properties of neutron star is evident, and the properties of the neutron stars rotating at the Kepler frequency can be used as a criterion to the equations of states of the neutron star matters.  相似文献

It was revealed in our previous studies that there exists a maximal possible accretion rate for slim discs with constant accretion rates because the correctly calculated vertical gravitational force can only gather some limited amount of accreted matter. Here we show that when the accretion rate is not constant and instead decreases with decreasing radius because of outflows, such that the amount of accreted matter is adjusted to be within the allowed limit, global slim disc solutions can be constructed even for the case that accretion rates at large radii apparently exceed the maximal possible value. This result further demonstrates that outflows seem to be unavoidable for accretion flows with large accretion rates at large radii.  相似文献

Using a test particle approach, the dynamical wake potential has been examined in a homogeneous self-gravitating dusty plasma. The periodic oscillatory potential might lead to an alternative approach to the Jeans instability for the formation of dust agglomeration leading to gravitational collapse of the self-gravitating systems.  相似文献

Nuclear levels of23Mg near and above the proton threshold were investigated with high resolution. A new level has been identified at 7.643 MeV (66 keV above the proton threshold) with a possible J=(3/2, 5/2)+. Some other spin-parity and excitation-energy assignments are also made. These results enable the reaction rate estimate of22Na(p,)23Mg with much smaller uncertainties, which is critical for the Ne-E problem in nuclear astrophysics.  相似文献

The Keplerian velocity as well as those frequencies at which instability against gravitational radiation-reaction sets in are calculated for rotating neutron star models of gravitational mass 1.5M . The investigation is based on four different, realistic neutron star matter equations of state. Our results indicate that the gravitational radiation instability sets in wellbelow (i.e., 63–71% of) the Keplerian frequency, and thatyoung neutron stars are limited to rotational periods greater than about 1 ms. In young and therefore hot (T1010 K) neutron stars them=5(±1) modes and in old stars after being spun up and reheated by mass accretion, them=4 and/orm=3 modes may set the limit on stable rotation.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. H.J. The electroweak coupling between intense neutrino beams and strongly degenerate relativistic dense electron-positron magnetoplasmas is considered. The intense neutrino bursts interact with the plasma due to the weak Fermi interaction force, and their dynamics is governed by a kinetic equation. Our objective here is to develop a kinetic equation for a degenerate neutrino gas and to use that equation to derive relativistic magnetohydrodynamic equations. The latter are useful for studying numerous collective processes when intense neutrino beams nonlinearly interact with degenerate, relativistic, dense electron-positron plasmas in strong magnetic fields. If the number densities of the plasma particles are of the order of 1033 cm-3, the pair plasma becomes ultra-relativistic, which strongly affects the potential energy of the weak Fermi interaction. The new system of equations allows several neutrino-driven streaming instabilities involving new types of relativistic Alfvén-like waves. The relevance of our investigation to the early universe and supernova explosions is discussed. A semi–microscopic model for the low–energy photodisintegration of the 9Be nucleus is constructed, and the experimental data are analyzed with its help. The older radioactive isotope data are supported by this analysis. The theoretical photodisintegration cross section is derived. The astrophysical rates for the reaction α+α+n9Be+γ and the reverse photodisintegration of 9Be are calculated. The new reaction rate for α+α+n9Be+γ is compared with previous estimations. The effect of input power fluctuation on photo-thermal shot noise in the end mirrors of a laser interferometer gravitational-wave observatory (LIGO) is analysed according to the statistical optics, which is a supplement of Braginsky's research. The laser light folding in LIGO increases a correlation of input power fluctuation in the photo-thermal shot noise. This part of noise has spectral density proportional to -2 in low frequency bands, and -4 in high frequency bands. It is not a white noise and may affect the processing about data of interferometers. To obtain an advanced LIGO, photo-thermal shot noise in end mirrors due to correlation of input power fluctuation is up to Braginsky's photo-thermal noise in the frequency range 1-100 Hz.  相似文献

We propose a model to study the evolution of opinion under the influence of all external field on small world network. The maero-behaviour of agents' opinion and the relative change rate as time elapses are studied. The external field is found to play an important role in making the opinion s(t) balance or increase, and without the influence of the external field, the relative change rate γ(t) shows nonlinear increasing behaviour as time runs. What is more, this nonlinear increasing behaviour is independent of the initial condition, the strength of the external field and the time that we cancel the external field. The results may reflect some phenomena in our society, such as the function of the macro-control in China or the mass media in our society.  相似文献

The theoretical model of direct diffraction phase-contrast imaging with partially coherent x-ray source is expressed by an operator of multiple integral. It is presented that the integral operator is linear. The problem of its phase retrieval is described by solving an operator equation of multiple integral. It is demonstrated that the solution of the phase retrieval is unstable. The numerical simulation is performed and the result validates that the solution of the phase retrieval is unstable.  相似文献

By adopting the background field method, the response of the dressed quark propagator to the presence of finite chemical potential is analysed up to the second order. From this, we obtain a model-independent formula for the chemical potential dependence (up to the second order) of the in-medium two-quark condensate and show by both Lorentz covariance arguments and explicit calculations that the O(μ) contribution to the in-medium two-quark condensate vanishes identically.  相似文献

An ionizing wavepacket of electron will re-visit its parent molecular ion during photoionization by strong laser field. This scenario is associated with physical concepts such as molecular re-scattering/collision, interference, diffraction, molecular clock, and generation of XUV light via high-order harmonic generation. On the workbench of a reduced dimensionality model of molecular hydrogen ions irradiated by laser pulse of 0.01-10.0 a.u. intensities, one-cycle pulsewidth, and 800nm wavelength, by deploying a momentum operator on the time-dependent wavefunction of an ionizing wavepacket, we can determine, in a precise manner, the exact time instant for the re-visiting electron to come back to the cation position. The time value is 57.6% of an optical cycle of the exciting laser pulse. This result may be useful in attosecond pump-probe experiments or molecular clock applications.  相似文献

A parametric quantum mechanical wavefunction naturally induces parametric probability distributions by taking absolute square, and we can consider its classical Fisher information. On the other hand, it also induces parametric rank-one projections which may be viewed as density operators, and we can talk about its quantum Fisher information. Among many versions of quantum Fisher information, there are two prominent ones. The first, defined via a quantum score function, was introduced by Helstrom in 1967 and is well known. The second, defined via the square root of the density operator, has its origin in the skew information introduced by Wigner and Yanase in 1963 and remains relatively unnoticed. This study is devoted to investigating the relationships between the classical Fisher information and these two versions of quantum Fisher information for wavefunctions. It is shown that the two versions of quantum Fisher information differ by a factor 2 and that they dominate the classical Fisher information. The non-coincidence of these two versions of quantum Fisher information may be interpreted as a manifestation of quantum discord. We further calculate the difference between the Helstrom quantum Fisher information and the classical Fisher information, and show that it is precisely the instantaneous phase fluctuation of the wavefunctions.  相似文献
