Galois inner product is a generalization of the Euclidean inner product and Hermitian inner product. The theory on linear codes under Galois inner product can be applied in the constructions of MDS codes and quantum error-correcting codes. In this paper, we construct Galois self-dual codes and MDS Galois self-dual codes from extensions of constacyclic codes. First, we explicitly determine all the Type II splittings leading to all the Type II duadic constacyclic codes in two cases. Second, we propose methods to extend two classes of constacyclic codes to obtain Galois self-dual codes, and we also provide existence conditions of Galois self-dual codes which are extensions of constacyclic codes. Finally, we construct some (almost) MDS Galois self-dual codes using the above results. Some Galois self-dual codes and (almost) MDS Galois self-dual codes obtained in this paper turn out to be new.  相似文献

Generalizing the Euclidean inner product and the Hermitian inner product, we introduce Galois inner products, and study Galois self-dual constacyclic codes in a very general setting by a uniform method. The conditions for existence of Galois self-dual and isometrically Galois self-dual constacyclic codes are obtained. As consequences, results on self-dual, iso-dual and Hermitian self-dual constacyclic codes are derived.  相似文献

We provide methods and algorithms to construct Hermitian linear complementary dual (LCD) codes over finite fields. We study existence of self-dual basis with respect to Hermitian inner product, and as an application, we construct Euclidean LCD codes by projecting the Hermitian codes over such a basis. Many optimal quaternary Hermitian and ternary Euclidean LCD codes are obtained. Comparisons with classical constructions are made.  相似文献

Using ideas from the cohomology of finite groups, an isomorphism is established between a group ring and the direct sum of twisted group rings. This gives a decomposition of a group ring code into twisted group ring codes. In the abelian case the twisted group ring codes are (multi-dimensional) constacyclic codes. We use the decomposition to prove that, with respect to the Euclidean inner product, there are no self-dual group ring codes when the group is the direct product of a 2-group and a group of odd order, and the ring is a field of odd characteristic or a certain modular ring. In particular, there are no self-dual abelian codes over the rings indicated. Extensions of these results to non-Euclidean inner products are briefly discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the covering radius of ternary extremal self-dual codes. The covering radii of all ternary extremal self-dual codes of lengths up to 20 were previously known. The complete coset weight distributions of the two inequivalent extremal self-dual codes of length 24 are determined. As a consequence, it is shown that every extremal ternary self-dual code of length up to 24 has covering radius which meets the Delsarte bound. The first example of a ternary extremal self-dual code with covering radius which does not meet the Delsarte bound is also found. It is worth mentioning that the found code is of length 32.  相似文献

In this paper we construct MDS Euclidean and Hermitian self-dual codes which are extended cyclic duadic codes or negacyclic codes. We also construct Euclidean self-dual codes which are extended negacyclic codes. Based on these constructions, a large number of new MDS self-dual codes are given with parameters for which self-dual codes were not previously known to exist.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to construct nontrivial MDS self-dual codes over Galois rings. We consider a building-up construction of self-dual codes over Galois rings as a GF(q)-analogue of (Kim and Lee, J Combin Theory ser A, 105:79–95). We give a necessary and sufficient condition on which the building-up construction holds. We construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 8 over GR(32,2), GR(33,2) and GR(34,2), and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 10 over these rings. In a similar manner, over GR(52,2), GR(53,2) and GR(72,2), we construct MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 10 and near-MDS self-dual codes of length 12. Furthermore, over GR(112,2) we have MDS self-dual codes of lengths up to 12.   相似文献

In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of non-trivial cyclic self-dual codes over finite chain rings. We prove that there are no free cyclic self-dual codes over finite chain rings with odd characteristic. It is also proven that a self-dual code over a finite chain ring cannot be the lift of a binary cyclic self-dual code. The number of cyclic self-dual codes over chain rings is also investigated as an extension of the number of cyclic self-dual codes over finite fields given recently by Jia et al.  相似文献

In this paper, we study self-dual permutation codes over formal power series rings and finite principal ideal rings. We first give some results on the torsion codes associated with the linear codes over formal power series rings. These results allow for obtaining some conditions for non-existence of self-dual permutation codes over formal power series rings. Finally, we describe self-dual permutation codes over finite principal ideal rings by examining permutation codes over their component chain rings.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the code generated by the rows of a block-point incidence matrix of a self-orthogonal 3-(56,12,65) design is a doubly-even self-dual code of length 56. As a consequence, it is shown that an extremal doubly-even self-dual code of length 56 is generated by the codewords of minimum weight. We also demonstrate that there are more than one thousand inequivalent extremal doubly-even self-dual [56,28,12] codes. We give two methods for constructing many linear complementary dual (LCD for short) codes from a given LCD code, by modifying some known methods for constructing self-dual codes. Using the methods, we construct binary LCD codes and quaternary Hermitian LCD codes, which improve the previously known lower bounds on the largest minimum weights.

Codes over an infinite family of rings which are an extension of the binary field are defined. Two Gray maps to the binary field are attached and are shown to be conjugate. Euclidean and Hermitian self-dual codes are related to binary self-dual and formally self-dual codes, giving a construction of formally self-dual codes from a collection of arbitrary binary codes. We relate codes over these rings to complex lattices. A Singleton bound is proved for these codes with respect to the Lee weight. The structure of cyclic codes and their Gray image is studied. Infinite families of self-dual and formally self-dual quasi-cyclic codes are constructed from these codes.  相似文献

We consider additive codes over GF(4) that are self-dual with respect to the Hermitian trace inner product. Such codes have a well-known interpretation as quantum codes and correspond to isotropic systems. It has also been shown that these codes can be represented as graphs, and that two codes are equivalent if and only if the corresponding graphs are equivalent with respect to local complementation and graph isomorphism. We use these facts to classify all codes of length up to 12, where previously only all codes of length up to 9 were known. We also classify all extremal Type II codes of length 14. Finally, we find that the smallest Type I and Type II codes with trivial automorphism group have length 9 and 12, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain some new results on the existence of MDS self-dual codes utilizing (extended) generalized Reed-Solomon codes over finite fields of odd characteristic. Duadic codes are a class of cyclic codes that generalize quadratic residue codes from prime to composite lengths. For every prime power q, we characterize integers n such that there is a duadic code of length n over Fq2 with a Hermitian self-dual parity-check extension. We derive asymptotic estimates for the number of such n as well as for the number of lengths for which duadic codes exist.  相似文献

Finite commutative semi-simple rings are direct sum of finite fields. In this study, we investigate the algebraic structure of λ-constacyclic codes over such finite semi-simple rings. Among others, necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of self-dual, LCD, and Hermitian dual-containing λ-constacyclic codes over finite semi-simple rings are provided. Using the CSS and Hermitian constructions, quantum MDS codes over finite semi-simple rings are constructed.  相似文献

Self-dual codes over exist for all even lengths. The smallest length for which the largest minimum weight among self-dual codes has not been determined is 24, and the largest minimum weight is either 9 or 10. In this note, we show that there exists no self-dual [24, 12, 10] code over , using the classification of 24-dimensional odd unimodular lattices due to Borcherds.   相似文献

There are seven binary extremal self-dual doubly-even codes which are known to have a 2-transitive automorphism group. Using representation theoretical methods we show that there are no other such codes, except possibly for length n = 1024.
