为了研究史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光的输出频率和光栅槽深、光栅槽长、光栅槽宽的关系,对于基于矩形光栅的史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光利用粒子模拟软件进行模拟和理论分析。首先,利用粒子模拟软件模拟对于基于矩形光栅的史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光进行了研究,发现史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光的输出频率随光栅槽深、光栅槽长、光栅槽宽的增大而减少。接着,对史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光的光栅槽进行了理论分析,发现每个光栅槽都可以等效为一个LC谐振电路,并发现在史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光中存在两种辐射,一种是史密斯-帕塞尔辐射,另一种是LC振荡辐射。最后,对光栅槽的LC振荡辐射进行了估算,发现史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光输出频率的模拟值与光栅槽的LC振荡辐射估算值的数量级均为102 GHz,且变化规律上一致。据此推测决定史密斯-帕塞尔自由电子激光输出频率的应该是光栅槽,而不是谐振腔。 相似文献

激光等离子体加速器能够在cm尺度内产生GeV量级的高品质电子束,为研制台式化自由电子激光提供驱动源。但是受限于激光等离子体加速中的难点和现有技术发展,电子束的品质难以达到自由电子激光的需求,尤其在稳定性、发散角和能散等方面,阻碍了台式化自由电子激光的研制。介绍了基于激光等离子体加速器的自由电子激光的最新进展,整理了目前高增益自由电子激光实验过程中存在的主要挑战和对应的解决方案与实验进展,并展望未来的发展方向。最近的研究结果证明,通过控制和优化激光等离子体加速器的注入和加速过程产生的高品质电子束可以在指数增益区域实现自发辐射放大,产生高增益的辐射,这也推动基于激光等离子体加速器的自由电子激光研究进入了一个新的阶段。 相似文献

本文提出一种基于受激渡越辐射的的光学速调管新方案。应用著名的Madey定理对这种新型的自由电子激光器进行了分析和计算,其中包括自发辐射的和受激辐射的分析讨论。结果表明,Madey定理确能简化复杂的计算,并给出清楚的物理概念;同时计算还表明,受激渡越辐射光学速调管具有大的输出增益。文中对N个介质区构成的多级光学速调管情形也进行了讨论。

The field of radiation emission from electron beams is reviewed with special reference to work related to free-electron lasers.
Different schemes of interaction in periodic structures, electromagnetic slow-wave structures, and in transverse confining
force are distinguished. Various effects and devices such as traveling wave amplifiers, Smith-Purcell radiators, Cerenkov
and bremsstrahlung-free electron lasers, cyclotron resonance masers, coherent bremsstrahlung and channeling radiation are
discussed and the differences and relations among them are explained. A simple comprehensive model is developed to describe
electron-beam interaction with an electromagnetic wave in periodic electromagnetic structures. The model is general enough
to describe both collective and single-electron modes of interaction and quantum mechanical, classical and Fermi degenerate
regimes. Simplified expressions are developed for the gain by stimulated emission of radiation and for gain conditions of
the Smith-Purcell-Cerenkov type free-electron lasers under conditions of very thin electron beams and infinite interaction
length.

A review of the experimental study of single-mode oscillators based on stimulated bremsstrahlung and Cerenkov radiation of high-current relativistic electron beams is given. Three types of Cerenkov oscillators are investigated in detail: orotrons, surface wave oscillators and a flimatron (free electron maser (FEM) based on Smith-Purcell radiation). The bremsstrahlung oscillators studied are gyrotrons with TM modes, a ubitron operating at a quasi-critical frequency and cyclotron autoresonance masers. Electrodynamic and electron methods of mode selection provide stable radiation with a reproducible space structure of radiation in all oscillators under study. The radiation power attained 50-100 MW for long and 10-30 MW for short millimeter wavelengths at the efficiency up to 5-10 percent. Various types of oscillators are compared. Promising methods for increasing power and radiation frequency are discussed. 相似文献

In this paper, the mechanism of free electron laser with a guide magnetic field is investigated by analyzing spontaneous radiation spectrum of electrons. The physical relation between spontaneous radiation and stimulated radiation in FEL with a guide magnetic field is studied. It is found that this relation in FEL is similar to that in quantum lasers. The spontaneous radiation spectrum is discrete. The frequency of stimulated radiation in FEL is oneselected and amplified in the radiation spectrum. 相似文献

The observability of the helical Cerenkov effect as a novel radiation source is discussed. Depending on the value of the index of refraction of the medium, the strength of the uniform magnetic field, and the electron beam energy, helical Cerenkov radiation can occur in the same spectral regions as the ordinary Cerenkov effect, that is, from microwave to visible wavelengths. From the kinematics point of view, I argue that for a microwave wavelength of 10-1cm this effect should be observable in a medium with an index of refraction of 1.4, with a beam energy of 3 MeV, and a uniform magnetic field of 4 T. On the specific level, however, for the sake of simplicity, I discuss the observability of this effect for visible light with the central wavelength of 5×10-5 cm which can be achieved with 2 MeV in beam energy, silica aerogel as a medium (with an index of refraction of 1.075), and uniform magnetic fields from 5 to 10 T. For a 10-T magnetic field, I calculate that in the visible region of 250 to 750 nm an electron will produce a photon per 10 cm of traveled length. As to the stimulated helical Cerenkov emission, I estimate that respectable gains are possible even if the beam passes close to the dielectric rather than through it. In addition to being potentially a new radiation source, the helical Cerenkov effect could possibly be used as a detector of radiation by energetic electrons that are trapped in a medium by strong magnetic fields 相似文献

针对现有核素治疗中内照射剂量测量缺乏简单、高效方法的问题,基于内照射剂量与切伦科夫辐射之间的关系,提出一种基于切伦科夫辐射的核素治疗内照射剂量测量的新方法。利用蒙特卡罗计算程序Geant4,模拟放射性核素131I在水体模型和甲状腺模型中产生切伦科夫辐射与剂量沉积的分布情况,并定量分析切伦科夫光子数与剂量之间的关系。计算结果表明:在水体模的半径方向上切伦科夫光子数与剂量之间有着相同的变化趋势,且两者有着相同的二维分布规律;核素131I在介质中产生的切伦科夫光子数与剂量两者之间存在一定的线性关系,且这种线性关系与核素的分布情况无关。研究结果证实,将这种放射性核素在介质中产生的切伦科夫辐射应用于内照射剂量学具有非常大的研究潜力和价值。 相似文献
