Ordered SBA-16-type mesoporous silica materials (MSMs) have been rapidly synthesized under weak acidic media in the presence of phosphomolybdic acid (abbreviated to HPMo) and inorganic salts (NaCl, Na2SO4, KCl and K2SO4) by using nonionic triblock copolymer F127 as a structure directing agent and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as a silica source. Both HPMo and inorganic salts play a crucial role in promoting SBA-16-type MSMs formation, and the reaction products have still retained an ordered body-centered cubic (Im3m) mesostructure after treated with 100 °C water for 120 h. The high hydrothermal stability of reaction products might be attributed to the higher degree of polymerization and condensation of silanol groups, arisen from the synergistic effect of rapid nucleation with the aid of HPMo and salt effect during the crystallization process.  相似文献

Nano-sized magnetic Fe0/polyaniline (Fe0/PANI) nanofibers were used as an effective material for sonocatalytic degradation of organic anionic Congo red (CR) dye. Fe0/PANI, was synthesized via reductive deposition of nano-Fe0 onto the PANI nanofibers at room temperature. Prepared catalyst was characterized using HR-TEM, FE-SEM, XRD, FTIR instruments. The efficacy of catalyst in removing CR was assessed colorimetrically using UV–visible spectroscopy under different experimental conditions such as % of Fe0 loading into the composite material, solution pH, initial concentration of dye, catalyst dosage, temperature and ultrasonic power. The optimum conditions for sonocatalytic degradation of CR were obtained at catalyst concentrations = 500 mg.L−1, concentration of CR = 200 ppm, solution pH = neutral (7.0), temperature = 30 °C, % of Fe0 loading = 30% and 500 W ultrasonic power. The experimental results showed that ultrasonic process could remove 98% of Congo red within 30 min with higher Qmax value (Qmax = 446.4 at 25 °C). The rate of degradation of CR dye was much faster in this ultrasonic technique rather than conventional adsorption process. The degradation efficiency declined with the addition of common inorganic salts (NaCl, Na2CO3, Na2SO4 and Na3PO4). The rate of degradation suppressed more with increasing salt concentration. Kinetic and isotherm studies indicated that the degradation of CR provides pseudo-second order rate kinetic and Langmuir isotherm model compared to all other models tested. The excellent high degradation capacity of Fe0/PANI under ultrasonic irradiation can be explained on the basis of the formation of active hydroxyl radicals (OH) and subsequently a series of free radical reactions.  相似文献

The sonoelectrochemical degradation of phenol in aqueous solutions with stainless steel electrodes and high-frequency ultrasound (850 kHz) was investigated. A 60% synergetic effect was obtained in the combined reaction system. High concentration of electrolyte (sodium sulfate) and a high electrical voltage are favorable conditions for the degradation of phenol. A nearly complete degradation of phenol was achieved with 4.26 g/L Na2SO4 and 30 V electrical voltages at 25 °C in 1 h. The degradation of phenol follows pseudo-first order kinetics. Considering costs and application, the energy efficiency of the reaction system with different reaction conditions was evaluated.  相似文献

Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and Vulcan carbon (VC) decorated with SnO2 nanoparticles were synthesized using a facile and versatile sonochemical procedure. The as-prepared nanocomposites were characterized by means of transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infra red spectroscopy. It was evidenced that SnO2 nanoparticles were uniformly distributed on both carbon surfaces, tightly decorating the MWCNTs and VC. The electrochemical performance of the nanocomposites was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge cycling. The as-synthesized SnO2/MWCNTs nanocomposites show a higher capacity than the SnO2/VC nanocomposites. Concretely, the SnO2/MWCNTs electrodes exhibit a specific capacitance of 133.33 F g−1, whereas SnO2/VC electrodes exhibit a specific capacitance of 112.14 F g−1 measured at 0.5 mA cm−2 in 1 M Na2SO4.  相似文献

A sulphur based chemical, ([(NH4)2S/(NH4)2SO4]) to which S has been added not previously reported for the treatment of (111)A InAs surfaces is introduced and benchmarked against the commonly used passivants Na2S·9H2O and ((NH4)2S + S), using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It has been found that the native oxide layer present on the InAs surface is more effectively removed when treated with ([(NH4)2S/(NH4)2SO4] + S) than with ((NH4)2S + S) or Na2S·9H2O. AES depth profiles of the sulphurized layers revealed the formation of a thin (less than 8.5 nm) In–S surface layer for both ((NH4)2SO4 + S) and ([(NH4)2S/(NH4)2SO4] + S) treatments. No evidence for the formation of As―S bonds was found. Treatment with ([(NH4)2S/(NH4)2SO4] + S) also affected a significant improvement compared to the more established sulphur treatments in the surface morphology of the otherwise poor as-received n-InAs (111)A surface.  相似文献

Ammonium perfluorooctanoate (APFO) is an emerging environmental pollutant attracting significant attention due to its global distribution, high persistence, and bioaccumulation properties. The decomposition of APFO in aqueous solution with a combination of persulfate oxidant and ultrasonic irradiation was investigated. The effects of operating parameters, such as ultrasonic power, persulfate concentration, APFO concentration, and initial media pH on APFO degradation were discussed. In the absence of persulfate, 35.5% of initial APFO in 46.4 μmol/L solution under ultrasound irradiation, was decomposed rapidly after 120 min with the defluorination ratio reaching 6.73%. In contrast, when 10 mmol/L persulfate was used, 51.2% of initial APFO (46.4 μmol/L) was decomposed and the defluorination ratio reached 11.15% within 120 min reaction time. Enhancement of the decomposition of APFO can be explained by acceleration of substrate decarboxylation, induced by sulfate radical anions formed from the persulfate during ultrasonic irradiation. The SO4−•/APFO reactions at the bubble-water interface appear to be the primary pathway for the sonochemical degradation of the perfluorinated surfactants.  相似文献

Various morphologies of copper oxide (CuO) nanostructures have been synthesized by controlling the reaction parameters in a sonochemical assisted method without using any templates or surfactants. The effect of reaction parameters including molar ratio of the reactants, reaction temperature, ultrasound exposure time, and annealing temperature on the composition and morphology of the product(s) has been investigated. The prepared samples have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDAX), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It has been found that Cu2(OH)3NO3 nanoplatelets are achieved in mild conditions which can be then converted to various morphologies of CuO nanostructures by either using high concentrations of OH (formation of nanorods), prolonging sonication irradiation (nanoparticles), or thermal treatment (nanospheres). Application of the prepared CuO nanostructures was evaluated as supercapacitive material in 1 M Na2SO4 solution using cyclic voltammetry (CV) in different potential scan rates ranging from 5 to 100 mV s−1. The specific capacitance has been calculated using CV curves. It has been found that the pseudocapacitor performance of CuO can be tuned via employing morphologically controlled samples. Accordingly, the prolonged sonicated sample (nanoparticles) showed the high specific capacitance of 158 F.g−1.  相似文献

Carbon aerogel was prepared by polycondensation of resorcinol and formaldehyde using sodium carbonate as a catalyst with a resorcinol to catalyst ratio of 500. Co-doped carbon aerogels were then prepared by an impregnation method with a variation of cobalt content (1, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 wt.%), and their performance for supercapacitor electrode was investigated by measurement of specific capacitance in 1 M H2SO4 electrolyte at a scan rate of 10 mV/s. Among the samples prepared, 7 wt.% Co-doped carbon aerogel showed the highest capacitance (100 F/g) and stable cyclability. The enhanced capacitance of Co-doped carbon aerogel was attributed to the faradaic redox reactions of cobalt oxide. On the basis of this result, 7 wt.% Cu-, Fe-, Mn-, and Zn-doped carbon aerogels were also prepared by an impregnation method for use as a supercapacitor electrode. Among the metal-doped carbon aerogels, Mn-doped carbon aerogel showed the highest capacitance (107 F/g) while Cu- and Fe-doped carbon aerogels exhibited the most stable cyclability.  相似文献

A rapid and efficient treatment method, using periodate (PI) for sonochemical oxidation of persistent and bioaccumulative perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) was developed. With an addition of 45 mM PI, 96.5% of PFOA was decomposed with a defluorination efficiency of 95.7% after 120 min of ultrasound (US). The removals of PFOA were augmented with an increase in PI doses. In all the PI + US experimental runs, decomposition efficiencies were essentially similar to those of defluorination, indicating that PFOA was decomposed and mineralized into fluoride ions. Lower solution pHs resulted in an increase in decomposition and defluorination efficiencies of PFOA due to acid-catalyzation. Dissolved oxygen increased the amount of IO4 radicals produced, which consumed the more effective IO3 radicals. Consequently, presence of oxygen inhibited the destruction of PFOA. The PFOA degradation rates with different gases sparging are in the following order: nitrogen > air > oxygen. Effects of anions follow the Hofmeister effects on PFOA degradation (i.e., Br > none  Cl > SO42). Br could react with OH to yield radical anion Br2 that enhances the PFOA degradation. A reaction pathway was also proposed to describe the PI oxidation of PFOA under US irradiation.  相似文献

In the present work, combination of ultraviolet (UV) irradiations (using 8 W UV tube) with ultrasonic (US) irradiations (rated power 1 kW and frequency of 25 kHz) has been investigated for the degradation of phenol at pilot scale of operation. Different modes of operation viz. UV alone, US alone, UV/US, UV/TiO2 (photocatalysis), UV/H2O2, UV/NaCl, UV/US/TiO2 (sonophotocatalysis) and H2O2 assisted sonophotocatalysis have been investigated with an objective of maximizing the extent of phenol degradation. Effect of presence of hydrogen peroxide and sodium chloride at a concentration of 10 g/l and TiO2 over a range of 0.5–2.5 g/l has been investigated. It has been observed that 2.0 g/l of TiO2 is the optimum concentration, beyond which a decrease in the extent of degradation is observed. Maximum extent of degradation of phenol was 37.75% for H2O2 assisted photosonocatalysis at pH of 2. The present work is first of its kind to report the use of combined ultrasonic and UV irradiations at pilot scale operation and obtained results should induce some degree of certainty in proposed industrial applications of sonochemical reactors for wastewater treatment.  相似文献

Sonoluminescence spectra collected from 0.1 to 3.0 M aqueous solutions of formic acid sparged with argon show the OH(A2Σ+−X2Πi) and C2(d3Πg  a3Πu) emission bands and a broad continuum typical for multibubble sonoluminescence. The overall intensity of sonoluminescence and the sonochemical yield of HCOOH degradation vary in opposite directions: the sonoluminescence is quenched while the sonochemical yield increases with HCOOH concentration. By contrast, the concentration of formic acid has a relatively small effect on the intensity of C2 Swan band. It is concluded that C2 emission originates from CO produced by HCOOH degradation rather than from direct sonochemical degradation of HCOOH. The intensity of C2 band is much stronger at high ultrasonic frequency compared to 20 kHz ultrasound which is in line with higher yields of CO at high frequency. Another product of HCOOH sonolysis, carbon dioxide, strongly quenches sonoluminescence, most probably via collisional non-radiative mechanism.  相似文献

Using a standing wave sonochemical reactor (SWSR), the influences of parameters of ultrasonic power input, sonication time, sonication temperature and the amount of propanol (which generates the reducing radicals) were systemically investigated to ascertain and optimize the best conditions for the sonochemical reduction of Pt from its precursor hexachloroplatinic acid and then its deposition on rutile TiO2 (platinization of rutile titania) catalysts. Catalytic activity of the prepared platinized catalysts was tested in the reaction of methyl orange degradation. The results of photocatalytic activity study in the degradation of methyl orange further demonstrate that sonochemically as-prepared Pt/TiO2 catalysts show a pronounced increase (~2 times) in photodegradation, even with a deposition of small amounts of platinum (1.4 wt.%), as compared to the unsupported or naked rutile titania. Although there are various parameters that influence the sonochemical platinization of rutile titania, the present optimization results clearly indicate that the best photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange can be obtained when the experimental conditions of the preparation were with an input power of 50 W, an initial hexachloroplatinic acid volume of 70 ml (which results into 1.4 wt.% Pt on TiO2), sonication time of 90 min, 0.18 g of propanol and a temperature of 10 °C were adopted. The method of ultrasound application to prepare metal supported semiconductors has many advantages such as convenience, safety and high efficiency. Furthermore, it is hopeful that this optimization study can also be extended to the generation of similar metal supported semiconductors.  相似文献

The formation of interconnected nanoparticles with nanoporous surface morphology has been achieved and which is favourable to the supercapacitor applications. Electrochemical supercapacitive performance of Bi2S3 thin film electrode has been performed through cyclic voltammetry, charge-discharge and stability studies in aqueous Na2SO4 electrolyte. The Bi2S3 thin film electrode exhibits the specific capacitance of 289 Fg−1 at 5 mVs−1 scan rate in 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte.  相似文献

A novel alternated ultrasonic and electric pulse enhanced electrochemical process was developed and used for investigating its effectiveness on the degradation of p-nitrophenol (PNP) in an aqueous solution. The impacts of pulse mode, pH, cell voltage, supporting electrolyte concentration, ultrasonic power and the initial concentration of PNP on the performance of PNP degradation were evaluated. Possible pathway of PNP degradation in this system was proposed based on the intermediates identified by GC–MS. Experimental results showed that 94.1% of PNP could be removed at 2 h in the dual-pulse ultrasound enhanced electrochemical (dual-pulse US-EC) process at mild operating conditions (i.e., pulse mode of electrochemical pulse time (TEC) = 50 ms and ultrasonic pulse time (TUS) = 100 ms, initial pH of 3.0, cell voltage of 10 V, Na2SO4 concentration of 0.05 M, ultrasonic powder of 48.8 W and initial concentration of PNP of 100 mg/L), compared with 89.0%, 58.9%, 2.4% in simultaneous ultrasound enhanced electrochemical (US-EC) process, pulsed electrochemical (EC) process and pulsed ultrasound (US), respectively. Moreover, energy used in the dual-pulse US-EC process was reduced by 50.4% as compared to the US-EC process. The degradation of PNP in the pulsed EC process, US-EC process and dual-pulse process followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. Therefore, the dual-pulse US-EC process was found to be a more effective technique for the degradation of PNP and would have a promising application in wastewater treatment.  相似文献

In this work, the influence of CCl4 on the sonochemical decolorization of anthraquinonic dye Acid Blue 25 (AB25) in aqueous medium was investigated using high frequency ultrasound (1700 kHz). This frequency, reputed ineffective, was tested in order to introduce the ultrasound waves with high frequency in the field of degradation or removal of dyes from wastewater, due to its limited use in this field, and to increase the application of high frequency ultrasound wave in the field of environmental protection. The effects of various parameters such as the concentration of CCl4, frequency (22.5 and 1700 kHz), solution pH, temperature and tert-butyl alcohol adding on the decolorization rate of AB25 was studied. The obtained results clearly demonstrated the significant intensification of AB25 decolorization in the presence of CCl4. The enhancement effect of CCl4 increased by decreasing temperature and by increasing the CCl4 concentration. The pH has a significant influence on the bleaching of dye both in the absence and presence of CCl4. The three investigated dosimeter methods (KI oxidation, Fricke reaction and H2O2 production) well corroborate the improvement of the sonochemical effects in the presence of CCl4. The best sonochemical decolorization rate of AB25 in aqueous solution both in the absence and presence of CCl4 is observed to occur at 1700 kHz compared to 22.5 kHz. The sonochemical oxidation of CCl4 generates oxidizing species in the liquid phase that are highly beneficial for oxidation of hydrophilic and non-volatile pollutant, such as dyes, because they are less susceptible to free radical attack due to lower stability of the generated free radicals.  相似文献

A polyphosphazene [NP(NHR)2]n with oligo[propylene oxide] side chains − R = –[CH(CH3)–CH2O]m–CH3 (m = 6  10) was synthesized by living cationic polymerisation and polymer-analogue substitution of chlorine from the intermediate precursor [NPCl2]n using the corresponding primary amine RNH2. The polymer had an average molecular weight of 3.3 × 105 D. Polymer electrolytes with different concentrations of dissolved lithium triflate (LiCF3SO3) were prepared. Mechanically stable polymer electrolyte membranes were formed using UV radiation induced crosslinking of the polymer salt mixture in the presence of benzophenone as photoinitiator. The glass transition temperature of the parent polymer was found to be − 75 °C before cross linking. It increases after crosslinking and with increasing amounts of salt to a maximum of − 55 °C for 20 wt.% LiCF3SO3. The ionic conductivity was determined by impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range 0–80 °C. The highest conductivity was found for a salt concentration of 20 wt.% LiCF3SO3: 6.5 × 10 6 S·cm 1 at 20 °C and 2.8 × 10 4 S cm 1 at 80 °C. The temperature dependence of the conductivities was well described by the MIGRATION concept.  相似文献

The sonochemical degradation of ethyl paraben (EP), a representative of the parabens family, was investigated. Experiments were conducted at constant ultrasound frequency of 20 kHz and liquid bulk temperature of 30 °C in the following range of experimental conditions: EP concentration 250–1250 μg/L, ultrasound (US) density 20–60 W/L, reaction time up to 120 min, initial pH 3–8 and sodium persulfate 0–100 mg/L, either in ultrapure water or secondary treated wastewater.A factorial design methodology was adopted to elucidate the statistically important effects and their interactions and a full empirical model comprising seventeen terms was originally developed. Omitting several terms of lower significance, a reduced model that can reliably simulate the process was finally proposed; this includes EP concentration, reaction time, power density and initial pH, as well as the interactions (EP concentration) × (US density), (EP concentration) × (pHo) and (EP concentration) × (time).Experiments at an increased EP concentration of 3.5 mg/L were also performed to identify degradation by-products. LC–TOF–MS analysis revealed that EP sonochemical degradation occurs through dealkylation of the ethyl chain to form methyl paraben, while successive hydroxylation of the aromatic ring yields 4-hydroxybenzoic, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acids. By-products are less toxic to bacterium V. fischeri than the parent compound.  相似文献

The harmful effects of wastewaters containing pesticides or insecticides on human and aquatic life impart the need of effectively treating the wastewater streams containing these contaminants. In the present work, hydrodynamic cavitation reactors have been applied for the degradation of imidacloprid with process intensification studies based on different additives and combination with other similar processes. Effect of different operating parameters viz. concentration (20–60 ppm), pressure (1–8 bar), temperature (34 °C, 39 °C and 42 °C) and initial pH (2.5–8.3) has been investigated initially using orifice plate as cavitating device. It has been observed that 23.85% degradation of imidacloprid is obtained at optimized set of operating parameters. The efficacy of different process intensifying approaches based on the use of hydrogen peroxide (20–80 ppm), Fenton’s reagent (H2O2:FeSO4 ratio as 1:1, 1:2, 2:1, 2:2, 4:1 and 4:2), advanced Fenton process (H2O2:Iron Powder ratio as 1:1, 2:1 and 4:1) and combination of Na2S2O8 and FeSO4 (FeSO4:Na2S2O8 ratio as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4) on the extent of degradation has been investigated. It was observed that near complete degradation of imidacloprid was achieved in all the cases at optimized values of process intensifying parameters. The time required for complete degradation of imidacloprid for approach based on hydrogen peroxide was 120 min where as for the Fenton and advance Fenton process, the required time was only 60 min. To check the effectiveness of hydrodynamic cavitation with different cavitating devices, few experiments were also performed with the help of slit venturi as a cavitating device at already optimized values of parameters. The present work has conclusively established that combined processes based on hydrodynamic cavitation can be effectively used for complete degradation of imidacloprid.  相似文献

The effects of critical factors such as Henry’s Law constant, atmospheric OH rate constant, initial concentration, H2O2, FeSO4 and tert-butanol on the sonochemical degradation of fumaric acid have been investigated. The pseudo first-order rate constant for the sonochemical degradation of 1 mM fumaric acid is much lower than those for chloroform and phenol degradation, and is related to solute concentration at the bubble/water interface and reactivity towards hydroxyl radicals. Furthermore, fumaric acid is preferentially oxidized at the lower initial concentration. It is unreactive to H2O2 under agitation at room temperature. However, the degradation rate of fumaric acid increases with the addition of H2O2 under sonication. 0.1 mM of fumaric acid suppresses H2O2 formation thanks to water sonolysis, while degradation behavior is also dramatically affected by the addition of an oxidative catalyst (FeSO4) or radical scavenger (tert-butanol), indicating that the degradation of fumaric acid is caused by hydroxyl radicals generated during the collapse of high-energy cavities.  相似文献

This study presents the ultrasound assisted pretreatment of sugarcane bagasse (SCB) using metal salt with hydrogen peroxide for bioethanol production. Among the different metal salts used, maximum holocellulose recovery and delignification were achieved with ultrasound assisted titanium dioxide (TiO2) pretreatment (UATP) system. At optimum conditions (1% H2O2, 4 g SCB dosage, 60 min sonication time, 2:100 M ratio of metal salt and H2O2, 75 °C, 50% ultrasound amplitude and 70% ultrasound duty cycle), 94.98 ± 1.11% holocellulose recovery and 78.72 ± 0.86% delignification were observed. The pretreated SCB was subjected to dilute acid hydrolysis using 0.25% H2SO4 and maximum xylose, glucose and arabinose concentration obtained were 10.94 ± 0.35 g/L, 14.86 ± 0.12 g/L and 2.52 ± 0.27 g/L, respectively. The inhibitors production was found to be very less (0.93 ± 0.11 g/L furfural and 0.76 ± 0.62 g/L acetic acid) and the maximum theoretical yield of glucose and hemicellulose conversion attained were 85.8% and 77%, respectively. The fermentation was carried out using Saccharomyces cerevisiae and at the end of 72 h, 0.468 g bioethanol/g holocellulose was achieved. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of pretreated SCB was made and its morphology was studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The compounds formed during the pretreatment were identified using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis.  相似文献
