The mixed spin-(1/2, 3/2) Ising model on a decorated square lattice, which takes into account lattice vibrations of the spin-3/2 decorating magnetic ions at a quantum-mechanical level under the assumption of a perfect lattice rigidity of the spin-1/2 nodal magnetic ions, is examined via an exact mapping correspondence with the effective spin-1/2 Ising model on a square lattice. Although the considered magnetic structure is in principle unfrustrated due to bipartite nature of a decorated square lattice, the model under investigation may display anomalous spin frustration driven by a magnetoelastic coupling. It turns out that the magnetoelastic coupling is a primary cause for existence of the frustrated antiferromagnetic phases, which exhibit a peculiar coexistence of antiferromagnetic long-range order of the nodal spins with a partial disorder of the decorating spins with possible reentrant critical behavior. Under certain conditions, the anomalous spin frustration caused by the magnetoelastic coupling is responsible for unprecedented absence of spontaneous long-range order in the mixed-spin Ising model composed from half-odd-integer spins only.  相似文献

在非绝热近似下,研究了一维spin-Peierls系统中晶格量子涨落 对系统性质的影响,讨论了系统的二聚化相变、单粒子激发和双粒子束缚态. 结果表明,量子晶格涨落会抑制晶格的二聚化,破坏系统的spin-Peierls基态稳定性.在临界点,系统发生从二聚化spin-Peierls态向无能隙态的相变. 自旋声子耦合强度对束缚态能隙的影响比单粒子激发谱能隙显著. 关键词: sin-Peierls系统 非绝热近似 玻色化 相图  相似文献

运用第一性原理密度泛函理论研究了铁基超导体LiFeAs的电子结构和声子谱.计算得到的LiFeAs基态具有涨落的条型反铁磁构型.通过比较LiFeAs在非磁态与条形反铁磁态下的声子态密度,发现,LiFeAs中各向异性自旋互作用的竞争产生了不稳定的自旋密度波和部分晶格位置弛豫,导致Fe和As原子振动模式的软化,从而提高电声子耦合强度.因此,自旋-声子互作用对非常规超导电性有重要贡献. 关键词: 铁基超导体 反铁磁序 超导电性 电声子耦合  相似文献

The possibility of indirect exchange coupling mediated by Landau electrons bound to magnetic impurities in 2DES is studied here. The importance of the resonance scattering of the Landau electrons with the impurities is emphasized due to its spin selectivity which results in strong spin polarization of the localized Landau states. The bound Landau states act as mediators of the superexchange interaction resulting in an antiferromagnetic interaction between the nuclear spins of the impurities. The coupling constant, between these nuclear spins, J, is presented for the case of a weak scattering limit and found to depend strongly on the ratio of the impurity separation over the magnetic length. Possible applications of these results may include a long-range mechanism for coupling between two nuclear spins to be used as a qubits interaction with a spacing distance of the order of the magnetic length.  相似文献

In this paper, a theory is developed for examining the influence of the spin-phonon interaction on the phonon dynamics in anharmonic crystals. In contrast to a harmonic approximation such an approach allows for comparing the role of the direct interaction between lattice vibrations with that of the indirect interaction via spins in the propagation and attenuation of sound as well as in the behaviour of thermodynamic quantities. Explicit expressions are derived for the phonon self-energy using successively higher approximations obtained from a cumulant expansion of the density of interparticle distances. It is shown that even in the harmonic approximation the two-spin correlation function and the four-spin correlation function enter into the expression of the generalized dynamical matrix in deviation from previous results. The modification of this harmonic dynamical matrix due to the renormalization of the harmonic phonons and due to phonon-phonon scattering processes is given employing a “weak coupling” approximation between the localized spins and the interparticle-distance density of the crystal. The resemblance of the present approach to an earlier microscopic treatment of electronic contributions to phonon dynamics in anharmonic crystals is pointed out.  相似文献

We study the low energy states of finite spin chains with isotropic (Heisenberg) and anisotropic (XY and Ising-like) antiferromagnetic exchange interaction with uniform and nonuniform coupling constants. We show that for an odd number of sites a spin cluster qubit can be defined in terms of the ground state doublet. This qubit is remarkably insensitive to the placement and coupling anisotropy of spins within the cluster. One- and two-qubit quantum gates can be generated by magnetic fields and intercluster exchange, and leakage during quantum gate operation is small. Spin cluster qubits inherit the long decoherence times and short gate operation times of single spins. Control of single spins is hence not necessary for the realization of universal quantum gates.  相似文献

We revealed the micromagnetic structure of an Fe thin film exchange interacting with the spins of a fully compensated (001) surface of antiferromagnetic NiO. The interface exchange interaction causes the Fe domains to follow the NiO domains. The Fe spin polarization is in plane and the spin polarization in each domain is roughly perpendicular to an easy-spin axis of the NiO. These results agree with numerically calculated spin directions. Our numerical results also show that the NiO spins at the interface cant from the easy-spin axis towards the Fe spin because of exchange coupling.  相似文献

系统研究了Nd0.5Ca0.5Mn1-xAlxO3(x=0,0.03)单相多晶样品在低温下的电磁性质和超声特性.电阻和磁化率测量表明,Nd0.5Ca0.5O3体系在TCO-257 K处发生了电荷有序相变.超声声速从室温开始随着温度的降低逐渐减小,并在TCO附近达到最小,之后,随着温度的进一步降低,声速急刷增加,同时伴随着一个尖锐的超声衰减峰出现.TCO附近的超声异常表明体系中存在着强烈的电-声子相互作用,该电-声子耦合来源于Mn3 的Jahn-Teller效应.在低温下,出现了另一个超声衰减峰,它的出现归结为反铁磁相与顺磁相之间的相分离现象.随着Al在Mn位的掺入,超声声速的最低点和衰减峰向低温移动,表明体系中的电荷有序态和反铁磁相均被部分抑制,  相似文献

By close analogy with multiferroic materials with coexisting long-range electric and magnetic orders a "multiglass" scenario of two different glassy states is observed in Sr(0.98)Mn(0.02)TiO(3) ceramics. Sr-site substituted Mn2+ ions are at the origin of both a polar and a spin glass with glass temperatures T(g) approximately equal to 38 K and < or =34 K, respectively. The structural freezing triggers that of the spins, and both glassy systems show individual memory effects. Thanks to strong spin-phonon interaction within the incipient ferroelectric host crystal SrTiO3, large higher order magnetoelectric coupling occurs between both glass systems.  相似文献

We studied the magnetic properties of an antiferromagnetic small particle of Ising spins. The particle is represented by a two-dimensional array of spins, where the coupling between spins in the core is antiferromagnetic, and its surface is modelled by a shell of spins with competing interactions, simulating a spin-glass type ordering at the surface. We investigated this model by mean-field approximation and Monte Carlo simulations. The magnetic behaviour was studied as a function of the temperature and external magnetic field. Some of the experimental findings observed in real antiferromagnetic nanoparticles, like hysteresis, shifted loops and coercive field, are obtained for this model. We showed that these properties strongly depend on the degree of surface disorder.  相似文献

The existence of minority spins, opposite to the perpendicular exchange bias, and majority spins aligned with this bias, and the dependence of the perpendicular exchange-bias field on the imprint effect, caused by the partially covering spacer at the ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic (FM/AFM) interface, have been studied using Ising-type simulations. The present investigation suggests that the main factors influencing this phenomenon were dependent on the FM/AFM interface morphology, the balance between FM/AFM coupling and the FM-spins coupling, and the numerical balance between minority and majority spins. It was also determined that the imprint phenomenon can be used to enhance the perpendicular exchange-bias for small partial insertions at the FM/AFM interface. The present paper is devoted to finding the spectrum of spin-phonon interaction and elucidating the mechanism of critical temperature increase in high-temperature superconductors. The spin-wave dynamic equations and the spectrum of coupled spin-phonon oscillations are obtained. The dependence of the spin wave spectrum on the spin-phonon coupling parameter is investigated. It is demonstrated that the superconducting transition temperature is directly proportional to the spin-phonon interaction force.  相似文献

A two-staged, uniaxial magnetoresistive effect has been discovered in SrCo6O11 having a layered hexagonal structure. Conduction electrons and localized Ising spins are in different sublattices but their interpenetration makes the conduction electrons sensitively pick up the stepwise field dependence of magnetization. The stepwise field dependence suggests two competitive interlayer interactions between ferromagnetic Ising-spin layers, i.e., a ferromagnetic nearest-layer interaction and an antiferromagnetic next-nearest-layer interaction. This oxide offers a unique opportunity to study nontrivial interplay between conduction electrons and Ising spins, the coupling of which can be finely controlled by a magnetic field of a few Tesla.  相似文献

Magnetoelastic properties of the spin-1/2 Ising-Heisenberg model on doubly decorated planar lattices partially amenable to lattice vibrations are examined within the framework of the harmonic approximation and decoration-iteration transformation. It is shown that the magnetoelastic coupling may lead to a spontaneous distortion of the vibrating decorating atoms and the mutual interplay between quantum spin fluctuations and local lattice deformations enhances typical quantum features like the quantum reduction of the magnetization in the ground state of the quantum antiferromagnetic phase, while it does not affect the ground-state behaviour of the classical ferromagnetic phase. It also turns out that the spontaneous distortion is responsible for a much more pronounced reduction of the critical temperature in the quantum antiferromagnetic phase than in the classical ferromagnetic phase.  相似文献

在扩散限制凝聚模型的基础上引入粒子的自旋自由度(包括自旋向上和向下),并假设粒子间存在幂次Ising磁相互作用,采用Monte Carlo方法研究了在不同相互作用力程情况下磁性粒子的分形生长规律.模拟结果表明,当粒子间以反铁磁方式耦合时,凝聚体中的粒子自旋交替凝聚.当粒子间以铁磁方式耦合时,凝聚体中粒子的自旋分布与相互作用力程有关:对于短程作用系统,凝聚体中存在大小不同的自旋畴块,即为铁磁生长;而对于长程相互作用系统,凝聚体中的自旋出现反常分布,即中心区域是近似反铁磁生长的结构,其外围后续生长的粒子却保持 关键词: 幂次相互作用 扩散限制凝聚模型 自旋  相似文献

The strong influence of nuclear spins on resonant quantum tunneling in the molecular cluster Fe8 is demonstrated for the first time by comparing the relaxation rate of the standard Fe8 sample with two isotopic modified samples: (i) 56Fe is replaced by 57Fe, and (ii) a fraction of 1H is replaced by 2H. By using a recently developed "hole digging" method, we measured an intrinsic broadening which is driven by the hyperfine fields. Our measurements are in good agreement with numerical hyperfine calculations. For T>1.5 K, the influence of nuclear spins on the relaxation rate is less important, suggesting that spin-phonon coupling dominates the relaxation rate.  相似文献

采用基于第一性原理的平面波赝势方法,计算了铁基氟化物及其钴掺杂超导体SrFe1-xCoxAsF(x=0,0.125)在四方非磁态与正交条纹反铁磁态下的声子谱(声子色散曲线、声子态密度)及电-声子耦合常数.计算发现:条纹反铁磁相互作用下的自旋-声子耦合效应强于电-声子耦合作用使声子谱的宽度减小;自旋效应使声子的有效质量增加导致条纹反铁磁态下Fe原子与As原子的耦合振动频率减小.另外,掺杂和自旋效应是提高电-声子耦合常数的两个有效方法,但计算所得超导转变温度远小于实验测量值,表明铁基超导电性非简单的电-声子耦合配对机理.  相似文献

Exact solution of a coupled spin–electron linear chain composed of localized Ising spins and mobile electrons is found. The investigated spin–electron model is exactly solvable by the use of a transfer-matrix method after tracing out the degrees of freedom of mobile electrons delocalized over a couple of interstitial (decorating) sites. The exact ground-state phase diagram reveals an existence of five phases with different number of mobile electrons per unit cell, two of which are ferromagnetic, two are paramagnetic and one is antiferromagnetic. We have studied in particular the dependencies of compressibility and specific heat on temperature and electron density.  相似文献

The Kondo lattice model enlarged by an antiferromagnetic coupling J AF between the localized spins is here investigated using computational techniques. Our results suggest the existence of a d-wave superconducting phase close to half-filling mediated by antiferromagnetic fluctuations. This establishes a closer connection between theory and heavy fermion experiments than currently provided by the standard Kondo lattice model with J AF=0.  相似文献

We study the effect of spin-phonon coupling in small magnetic clusters, concentrating on a S=1/2 ring of 4 spins coupled antiferromagnetically. If the phonons are treated as classical variables, there is a critical value of the spin-phonon coupling above which a static distortion occurs. This is a good approximation if the zero point energy is small compared to the energy gain due to the distortion, which is true for large exchange interactions compared to the phonon energy (J≫ħω). In the opposite limit, one can integrate out the phonon degrees of freedom and get an effective spin Hamiltonian. Using exact diagonalizations to include the quantum nature of both spins and phonons, we obtain the spectrum in the whole range of parameters and explicit the crossover between the classical and quantum regimes. We then establish quantitatively the limits of validity of two widely used approaches (one in the quantum and one in the classical limits) and show that they are quite poor for small magnetic clusters. We also show that upon reducing ħω/J the first excitation of a 4-site cluster becomes a singlet, a result that could be relevant for Cu2Te2O5Br2.  相似文献
